  • Six specimens of Bathygobius hongkongensis were collected for the first time from the eastern coast of Jeju Island, Korea, in September-November 2017. This species is characterized by a pectoral fin with free rays and the division of the first dorsalmost pectoral free ray into three branches; a lower jaw with a mental frenum; and an anterior nostril with a tiny flap. Bathygobius hongkongensis is similar to B. fuscus but differs in having more dorsalmost free pectoral fin rays. The new Korean name proposed for B. hongkongensis is "Nam-bang-mu-nui-mang-duk."

  • Maxillary first molar, the "6-year molar", is the tooth largest in volume and most complex in root and root canal anatomy. Therefore, maxillary first molar is possibly the most treated, least understood. It is the posterior tooth with the highest endodontic failure rate and unquestionably one of the most important teeth. The earliest permanent posterior tooth to erupt, the mandibular first molar seems to be the most frequently in need of endodontic treatment.(omitted)

  • Multigrid method and acceleration by conjugate gradient method for first-order system least squares (FOSLS) using bilinear finite elements are developed for various boundary value problems of planar linear elasticity. They are two-stage algorithms that first solve for the displacement flux variable, then for the displacement itself. This paper focuses on solving for the displacement flux variable only. Numerical results show that the convergence is uniform even as the material becomes nearly incompressible. Computations for convergence factors and discretization errors are included. Heuristic arguments to improve the convergences are discussed as well.

  • The first zoeal characters of plagusiine crab Plagusia dentipes De Haan, 1835, belonging to the family Grapsidae, is described and illustrated in detail based on laboratory-hatched material from an ovigerous female collected from Bomok, Seogwipo in the Jejudo Island. Morphological comparison is made with previous description of Plagusia dentipes from Japan. The first zoea of Plagusia dentipes can be readily distinguished from those of two species of Plagusia chabrus and Plagusia depressa by having 2 aesthetascs and 3 simple setae on the antennule, and 8 setae on the coxal endite of the maxilla.

  • Statistically inquiring into dental health index of upper and lower first permanent molar for 1520 pupils of primary school in seoul. I got a conclusion as follows: 1. Lower first permanent molar was lower than upper first permanent molar in dental health index and conversely in DMF rate. 2. Elder pupils were lower than younger pupils in dental health index and conversely in DMF rate.

  • We consider the special hypersurface of the first approximate Matsumoto metric with $b_i(x)={\partial}_ib$ being the gradient of a scalar function b(x). In this paper, we consider the hypersurface of the first approximate Matsumoto space with the same equation b(x)=constant. We are devoted to finding the condition for this hypersurface to be a hyperplane of the first or second kind. We show that this hypersurface is not a hyper-plane of third kind.

  • In this paper we study monotonicity the first eigenvalue for a class of (p, q)-Laplace operator acting on the space of functions on a closed Riemannian manifold. We find the first variation formula for the first eigenvalue of a class of (p, q)-Laplacians on a closed Riemannian manifold evolving by the Ricci-Bourguignon flow and show that the first eigenvalue on a closed Riemannian manifold along the Ricci-Bourguignon flow is increasing provided some conditions. At the end of paper, we find some applications in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional manifolds.

  • This paper deals with the comparisons of gain design of current controller with the first order lag characteristics. Usually the current controller for motor drives and PCSs has the first order lag characteristics to avoid the current overshoot. This paper suggests a new inductor current controller for the PCSs and also compares with other two current controllers. The simulation results show that the proposed design method also gives the first order lag characteristics and can be used as an alternative current controller for PCSs.

  • In this paper, we define a modified q-poly-Bernoulli polynomials of the first type and modified q-poly-tangent polynomials of the first type by using q-polylogarithm function. We derive some identities of the modified polynomials with Gaussian binomial coefficients. We also explore several relations that are connected with the q-analogue of Stirling numbers of the second kind.
