The purpose of this study was to identify and prioritize the key indicators and drivers of forest thinning. The research for this study was designed in two-phases: 1) sequential, exploratory, mixed methods research that was initiated with a qualitative phase (Delphi technique), and 2) the quantitative phase (Analytic Hierarchy Process technique). Results indicated that management and planning were the most important factors in the first level of criteria among the "management and planning," "directing and monitoring," "supervision," and "quality of thinning work." On the sub-criteria level, "the quality of forest management planning" was indicated as the most important factor among the ten sub-criteria. Our results have shown that the developed forest thinning evaluation factors were a well-represented characteristic for a variety of forest thinning work in Korea.
The present study aimed to derive decision factors for residency in the hinterland of Incheon New Port that is undergoing the development of port hinterlands and changes in leasing methods considered from the perspective of companies and analyze the priorities of determinants for residency through Fuzzy-AHP in order to present a direction to activate companies entries into the hinterland of Incheon New Port. When the comprehensive rankings of determinants for residency in the hinterland of Incheon New Port, rent levels among cost factors took the highest ranking with a value of 10.2% followed by the throughput of the port among market factors with a value of 8.2%, the scale of the market on the background with a value of 7.3%,, reduction in inland transport costs among cost factors with a value of 7.1%, connectivity to inland transportation networks among locational factors with a value of 6.7%, and designation as a free trade zone and the scale with a value of 6.4%. When seen from the viewpoint of companies to determine whether to move into the hinterland of Incheon New Port, the rent level should be provided to be more attractive compared to the hinterlands of ports in other regions. In addition, inland transportation costs which are a matter of the most serious concern of shippers in the capital region should be reduced and sea routes that can directly connect Incheon New Port to US ports and European ports should be opened.
The purpose of this study is to survey and analyze the operating state and characteristics of domestic and foreign green care, prioritize the facilities and programs for green care introduction through expert survey of importance, and thereby to provide a basic material for introducing green care in facilities in Rural Development Project districts, including domestic rural experience facilities. Domestic and foreign literature was analyzed in order to classify the necessary facilities programs, of green care, and the analysis results were modified and supplemented through Expert Delphi Survey. Based on the results, AHP based importance survey was conducted. In terms of the facilities and programs for green care introduction, necessary facilities (H/W) were categorized into four types (accommodation facility, resting facility, experience facility, therapy facility) and S/W programs into three types (learning experience type, therapy type, and care type). To verify the reliability of the AHP based importance survey, Consistency Index (C.I.) was analyzed. As a result, the C.I. value of nine respondents ranged from 0.000 to 0.083 so that the survey was found to have high consistency. The importance of S/W programs was 0.627, and that of H/W facilities was 0.373. For green care introduction, programs were found to be more important. Regarding the categories of necessary facilities, therapy facility had the highest value, or 0.348; experience facility 0.253; accommodation facility 0.211; resting facility 0.188. Therefore, therapy facility and experience facility were found to be important. In case of S/W programs, therapy type had the highest value, or 0.499, and learning experience type (0.255) and care type (0.246) were similarly important. Generally, the categories that had high importance values tended to show a remarkable difference in importance of their sub categories. In particular, facilities or therapy programs using natural ecology and forests were found to be highly important. In conclusion, it is required to actively review the introduction of active programs using resources, such as existing experience facilities and accommodation facilities and villages forests, and programs making the body and soul comfortable, such as natural ecology experience, Green Shower, and horticulture activity.

According to globalization of world economy by extension of production, sales and distribution all around the world and international transportation system changed into a transport system that puts great importance on speediness and value-added services, international transport system is changing into a Multimodal Transport Routing centered system that systematically connects marine, air and rail transports. Due to such changes production, sales and distribution must be provided in time and Multimodal Transport Routing, which can provide multi-dimensional logistics services to customers of global network, is needed but information connection for international transport and connection system between transport modes are insufficient and can not be activated. Especially in Korea, selection standard of 3rd party logistics companies and transport companies is presented, but logistics exclusive companies, which plan and execute the transportation, can't present a systematic evaluation standard for international Multimodal Transport Routing, selection. Thus, this research surveys important previous studies about Multimodal Transport Routing, selection, derives an evaluation standard for Multimodal Transport Routing, selection through interview with company officials, and presents a theoretical basis for Multimodal Transport Routing, selection through systematic analysis of Multimodal Transport Routing, selection using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).
This study aims to evaluate the factors which affect the competitiveness of Gwangyang port, and to suggest strategies for the enhancement of its competitiveness by priority. This study inquires both 5 key rating factors: port location, port operations management, port costs, port facilities, and hinterland conditions and the priority of 14 detailed assessments through AHP method. First, the importances of main evaluation items for port competitiveness are analysed in the following orders: port location, port facilities, port costs, port operations, hinterland conditions. Second, the comprehensive importances based on the detailed evaluation properties complex weighting are identified in the following orders: connectivity with hinterland, accessibility of international harbor, incentives, the area of terminal, expertise and skills of port operations personnel, container throughput, and scale berths. Third, the strategies referring to the port location like centrality, transit, and merit on use should be actively conducted for the promotions of Gwangyang port's competitiveness, according to its international port competitiveness analysis. This study will provide both academic and policy implications with its related scholars, government, and research institutions. In addition, this will be contributed to formulating a basic theory for port competitiveness evaluation and providing a basic framework of evaluation analysis.

Maintainability indicates the extent to which maintenance can be done easily and quickly. The consideration of maintainability is crucial to reduce the operation and support costs of weapon systems, but if the maintainability is evaluated after the prototype production is done and necessitates design changes, it may increase the cost and delay the schedule. The evaluation should verify whether maintenance work can be performed, and support the designers in developing a design to improve maintainability. In previous studies, the maintainability index was calculated using the graph theory at the early design phase, but evaluation accuracy appeared to be limited. Analyzing the methods of evaluating the maintainability using fuzzy logic and 3D modeling indicate that the design of a system with good maintainability should be done in an integrated manner during the whole system life cycle. This paper proposes a method to evaluate maintainability using SysML-based modeling and simulation technique and fuzzy logic. The physical design structure with maintainability attributes was modeled using SysML 'bdd' diagram, and the maintainability was represented by an AHP matrix for maintainability attributes. We then calculated the maintainability using AHP-based weighting calculation and fuzzy logic through the use of SysML 'par' diagram that incorporated MATLAB. The proposed maintainability model can be managed efficiently and consistently, and the state of system design and maintainability can be analyzed quantitatively, thereby improving design by early identifying the items with low maintainability.

In order to reduce marine accidents, each contracting Government needs to implement the instruments enacted and amended by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The III Code requires each administration of the government to have a system for improvement through periodic review and evaluation and to include performance indicators in its evaluation methods. Thus, each IMO Member State needs to develop its own performance indicators. The purpose of this paper is to develop and present an evaluation model using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in order to quantify and evaluate the level of implementation of the instruments by the administrations. From the perspective of 'III-BSC', which applies the BSC concept to the III code requirements, the Critical Success Factors (CSF) that must be secured to achieve the established vision were drawn up, and candidate KPIs for each evaluation area were developed to measure the derived key success factors and an initial study model was designed composed of four levels. The validity of the KPIs was verified and the study model was finalized using the survey design using the SMART technique. Furthermore, based on the developed study model, an evaluation model for the implementation of the BSC-based IMO instruments was developed by deriving the weights of elements for each level through AHP analysis. The developed evaluation model is expected to contribute toward improving the administrations' level of implementation of the IMO instruments as a tool for quantitatively grasping the level of performance of the implementation.
Korea's port development adjusts the completion time and size of port facilities according to the future port throughput. The current port development system, which is referred to as "throughput-linked port development (Trigger Rule)", has received positive evaluation for efficiently executing the limited port development budget. Recently concerns have been growing over deteriorating service levels in port facilities in Korea due to accelerated aging of terminal facilities. However, the current port development system does not possess any standard for assessing the level of service and utilizing development indicators. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the Port Service Index (PSI) by selecting indicators to measure the Level of Service (LOS) of ports and deriving weights between the indicators, so that the current "throughput-linked port development (Trigger Rule)" can be linked with the level of service. Based on the result of analysis on a variety of preceding studies, the ship waiting rate, berth productivity, ship turnaround time and ship productivity were selected as four indicators to constitute the Port Service Index. The AHP and entropy methodologies were used to derive weights for each of four indicators which were later combined to calculate the comprehensive weight. The calculation formula of the Port Service Index (PSI) was derived by using the aggregated weights of each indicator, based on which the LOS of domestic container and bulk terminals were evaluated and this measurement result was divided into 6 classes to define each LOS. This paper contributes to draw the improvement measures for port development system that are able to connect the quantitative indicator of throughput, as well as a qualitative indicator of the level of "service".
The importance of information security has grown alongside the development of information and communication technology. However, companies struggle to select suitable countermeasures within their limited budgets. Sönmez and Kılıç (2021) proposed a model using AHP and mixed integer programming to determine the optimal investment combination for mitigating information security breaches. However, their model had limitations: 1) a lack of objective measurement for countermeasure efficacy against security threats, 2) unrealistic scenarios where risk reduction surpassed pre-investment levels, and 3) cost duplication when using a single countermeasure for multiple threats. This paper enhances the model by objectively quantifying countermeasure efficacy using the beta probability distribution. It also resolves unrealistic scenarios and the issue of duplicating investments for a single countermeasure. An empirical analysis was conducted on domestic SMEs to determine investment budgets and risk levels. The improved model outperformed Sönmez and Kılıç's (2021) optimization model. By employing the proposed effectiveness measurement approach, difficulty to evaluate countermeasures can be quantified. Utilizing the improved optimization model allows for deriving an optimal investment portfolio for each countermeasure within a fixed budget, considering information security costs, quantities, and effectiveness. This aids in securing the information security budget and effectively addressing information security threats.

Impact investment involves investing in companies that pursue both social value and financial returns. It focuses on addressing various social problems through innovative solutions while generating profits. The domestic impact investment ecosystem has experienced significant growth with the support of the government and public institutions. In 2021, it witnessed a 3.5-fold increase over three years, reaching a total of 700 billion won in operating assets. In order to foster qualitative growth alongside this quantitative expansion, it is crucial to conduct research specifically on impact investment, which sets it apart from conventional venture investment. This study aims to empirically analyze the unique factors that influence impact investment decisions. Firstly, the factors affecting investment decisions were identified through a literature analysis. Then, a consultation and Delphi survey involving 11 representatives and evaluators from impact investment companies was conducted to determine the major investment determinants. Subsequently, an AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) survey was carried out with 10 impact investment evaluators to ascertain the relative importance of these factors. The analysis revealed the following order of importance for the top factors: market>entrepreneur(team)>product/service>finance. Furthermore, the importance of specific factors was identified in the following order: market competition and entry barriers>new market creation>market growth and potential expansion>team expertise and capabilities. Unlike previous studies that primarily focus on general startup investment factors, this research demonstrates that impact investment places greater emphasis on market-related factors and considers the sustainability and profitability of the business model to be more important than the social impact of social ventures.
