  • The notion of soft α-ideals and α-idealistic soft BCI-algebras is introduced and their basic properties are discussed. Relations between soft ideals and soft α-ideals of soft BCI-algebras are provided. Also idealistic soft BCI-algebras and α-idealistic soft BCI-algebras are being related. The restricted intersection, union, restricted union, restricted difference and "AND" operation of soft α-ideals and α-idealistic soft BCI-algebras are established. The characterizations of (fuzzy) α-ideals in BCI-algebras are given by using the concept of soft sets. Relations between fuzzy α-ideals and α-idealistic soft BCI-algebras are discussed.

  • In this paper, we propose direct and indirect adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control approaches for a class of nonaffine nonlinear systems. In the direct case, we use the implicit function theory to prove the existence of an ideal implicit feedback linearization controller, and hence approximate it to attain the desired performances. In the indirect case, we exploit the linear structure of a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system with constant conclusion to establish an affine-in-control model, and therefore design an indirect adaptive fuzzy controller. In both cases, the adaptation laws of the adjustable parameters are deduced from the stability analysis, in the sense of Lyapunov, to get a more accurate approximation level. In addition to their robustness, the design of the proposed approaches does not require the upper bounds of both external disturbances and approximation errors. To show the efficiency of the proposed controllers, a simulation example is presented.

  • A high speed fuzzy processor using bipolar technology is proposed in this paper. The hardware system uses a high-speed current-mode membership function circuit and normalization technique. The new membership function circuit generates an ideal membership function of the fuzzy set and its circuit is also simple and available for VLSI implementation. Several techniques have been implemented to speed up response of the processor. The fuzzy processor has been designed and implemented in bipolar circuit technology. The experiments and simulations show that the response speed is below 100ms. It can also be expected that the fuzzy processor can be integrated on one chip and its response time is only about the order of nanoseconds.

  • Defuzzification plays a great role in fuzzy control system. Defuzzification is a process which maps from a space defined over an output universe of discourse into a space of nonfuzzy(crisp) number. But, it's impossible to convert a fuzzy set into a numeric value without losing some information during defuzzification. Also it's very hard to find a number that best represents a fuzzy set. Many methods have been used for defuzzification but most of then were problem dependent. There has been no rule which guides how to select a method that is suitable to solve given problem. Here, we have investigated most widely used methods and we have analyzed their characteristics and evaluated them. D. Driankov and Mizumoto have suggested 5 criteria which the‘ideal’defuzzification method should satisfy. But, they didn't considered about control action. Output fuzzy set if not only a fuzzy set but also a sequence of control action. We suggested 4 new criteria which describe sequence of cont ol action from some experiments. In addition, we have compared each method in simple adaptive fuzzy control. COG(Center of Gravity), or COS(Center of Sums) methods were successful in fuzzy control. However, at transition region, MOM(Mean of Maxima) was best among others in adaptive fuzzy control.

  • Soft set theory by Molodtsov is applied to ideals in BCC-algebras. The notion of soft BCC-ideals of soft BCC-algebras and idealistic soft BCC-algebras are introduced, and several examples are provided. Relations between a fuzzy BCC-ideal and an idealistic soft BCC-algebra are given, and the characterization of idealistic soft BCC-algebras is established.

  • This paper presents a method for improvement of capacity payment in CBP(cost based pool) market. Capacity payments have been used as common mechanisms in various pools for compensating generators recognized to serve a for reliability purpose. Ideal pricing for capacity reserves by definition achieves a balance between economic efficiency and investment incentives. That is, prices must be kept close to costs, but not so low as to discourage investment. However, the price set is not easy. This paper concludes with market design recommendations that apply fuzzy theory for improvement of capacity payment. Following this model, market participants decided on their own based on their forecast to the market demand and the payment for it.

  • We consider a fuzzy semigroup S in a right (or left) reductive semigroup X such that $S(k)=1$ for some $k{\in}X$ and find a faithful representation (or anti-representation) of S by transformations of S. Also we show that a fuzzy semigroup S in a weakly reductive semigroup X such that $S(k)=1$ for some $k{\in}X$ is isomorphic to the semigroup consisting of all pairs of inner right and left translations of S and that S can be embedded into the semigroup consisting of all pairs of linked right and left translations of S with the property that S is an ideal of the semigroup.

  • This study shows a fuzzy tuning scheme to fuzzy sliding mode controller (FSMC) for seismic isolation of earthquake-excited structures. The sliding surface can rotate in the phase plane in such a direction that the seismic isolation can be improved. Since ideal sliding mode control requires very fast switch on the input, which can not be provided by real actuators, some modifications to the conventional sliding-mode controller have been proposed based on fuzzy logic. A superior control performance has been obtained with FSMC to deal with problems of uncertainty, imprecision and time delay. Furthermore, using the fuzzy moving sliding surface, the excellent system response is obtained if comparing with the conventional sliding mode controller (SMC), as well as reducing chattering effect. For simulation validation of the proposed seismic response control, 16-floor tall building has been considered. Simulations for six different seismic events, Elcentro (1940), Hyogoken (1995), Northridge (1994), Takochi-oki (1968), the east-west acceleration component of D$\ddot{u}$zce and Bolu records of 1999 D$\ddot{u}$zce-Bolu earthquake in Turkey, have been performed for assessing the effectiveness of the proposed control approach. Then, the simulations have been presented with figures and tables. As a result, the performance of the proposed controller has been quite remarkable, compared with that of conventional SMC.

  • This paper has a control method proposed for the effective self-tuning fuzzy speed control based on neural network of the induction motor indirect vector control. The vector control of an induction motor provides the decoupled control of the rotor flux magnitude and the torque producing current to performance is desirable. But, the drive performance often degrades for the machine parameter variations and its condition give rise to coupling of flux and torque current. The fuzzy speed control of an induction motor has the robustness about machine parameter variations compared with conventional PID speed control in a way. That proved to be some waf from the true. The purpose of this paper is to improve the adaptation by offering self-turning function to fuzzy speed controller. In this paper, the adaptive mechanism of fuzzy speed control in used ANN(Artificial Neural Network) technique is applied in an IFO induction machine drive, such that the machine can follow a reference model (an ideal field oriented machine) to achieve desired speed. In this paper proved the self-turning method of fuzzy controller has the robustness about parameter variation and the wide range of adaptation by simulation.
