RANCE 조력발전소의 운전성과

  • Rance 조력발전소가 이동된지도 10여년이 경과되었다. 시설용량 240MW, 년간발전량 500GWh 정도라면 발전소로서 별로 크다고는 할수는 없다. 그러나 현재까지 조력발전 타당성조사사업이 실시되었던 프랑스의 Chausey Iles, 영국의 Severn 하구, 캐나다의 Fundy만 등지의 조력발전계획보다도 규모는 훨씬 작지만 아직은 Rance전발소를 능가할만한 Rance 조력발전소는 없다. 이런 면에서 Rance 발전소는 조력발전소로서는 독보적인 존재이며 그간의 운전성과는 앞으로 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Implicit Large Eddy Simulations of a rectangular 5:1 cylinder with a high-order discontinuous Galerkin method

  • In this work the numerical results of the flow around a 5:1 rectangular cylinder at Reynolds numbers 3 000 and 40 000, zero angle of attack and smooth incoming flow condition are presented. Implicit Large Eddy Simulations (ILES) have been performed with a high-order accurate spatial scheme and an implicit high-order accurate time integration method. The spatial approximation is based on a discontinuous Galerkin (dG) method, while the time integration exploits a linearly-implicit Rosenbrock-type Runge-Kutta scheme. The aim of this work is to show the feasibility of high-fidelity flow simulations with a moderate number of DOFs and large time step sizes. Moreover, the effect of different parameters, i.e., dimension of the computational domain, mesh type, grid resolution, boundary conditions, time step size and polynomial approximation, on the results accuracy is investigated. Our best dG result at Re=3 000 perfectly agrees with a reference DNS obtained using Nek5000 and about 40 times more degrees of freedom. The Re=40 000 computations, which are strongly under-resolved, show a reasonable correspondence with the experimental data of Mannini et al. (2017) and the LES of Zhang and Xu (2020).

  • Turbulent flow characteristics of a two - dimensional oblique plate impinging jet(OPIJ) were experimentally investigated. The jet mean velocity and turbulent intensity profIles were also measured along the plate. The jet Reynolds numbers(Re, based on the nozzle width)ranged from 10, 000 to 35, 000, the nozzle - to - plate distance(H/B) from 2 to 16, and the oblique angle (a) from 60 to 90 degree. It has been found that the stagnation point shifted toward the minor flow region as the oblique angle decreases and the position of the stagnation point nearly coin¬cided with that of the maximum turbulent intensity.

Integrated Lighting Enabler System Using M2M Platforms for Enhancing Energy Efficiency

  • This paper proposes an integrated lighting enabler system (ILES) based on standard machine-to-machine (M2M) platforms. This system provides common services of end-to-and M2M communication for smart lighting system. It is divided into two sub-systems, namely end-device system and server system. On the server side, the M2M platform OpenMTC is used to receive data from the sensors and send response for activating actuators. At the end-device system, a programmable smart lighting device is connected to the actuators and sensors for communicating their data to the server. Some experiments have been done to prove the system concept. The experiment results show that the proposed integrated lighting enabler system is effective to reduce the power consumption by 25.22% (in average). The proving of significance effect in reducing power consumption is measured by the Wilcoxon method.

Characterization of Trichoderma spp. Associated with Green Mold of Oyster Mushroom by PCR-RFLP and Sequence Analysis of ITS Regions of rDNA

  • Molecular profIles of PCR-RFLP and sequence analysis of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions of rDNA were compared between morphologically distinguishable species of Trichoderma isolated from substrates of oyster mushroom in Korea, T. atroviride, T. citrinoviride, T. harzianum, T. longibrachiatum, T. virens, and two unidentified species, Trichoderma sp. 1 and 2. PCR­RFLP analysis divided the Trichoderma spp. into six RFLP groups, A, B, C, D, E, and F. The RFLP groups were generally agreed with described morphological species, except that the RFLP group A containing the two unidentified species. A neighbor-joining tree based on ITS sequences well supported RFLP groups observed by RFLP analysis of ITS regions of rDNA. Additionally, the two unidentified species, Trichoderma sp. 1 and 2, which could not be distinguished by PCR­RFLP analysis, were separated in sequence analysis of ITS regions of rDNA.

북태평양 꽁치 봉수망 어획량과 수온과의 관계 (Relationship Between the Catch of the Pacific Saury and the Water Temperature in the Northwest Pacific Ocean)

  • The saury stick - held dip net fishery of Korea in the Northwest Pacific Ocean began in 1985 with 3 vessels. Since then the fishery has grown so rapidly year by year that the number of vessels increased to 34 and the catch to 40 thousands Mff in 1993. In the present study, the monthly situation and the movement of the fishing ground for the pacific saury in the Northwest Pacific were investigated and the monthly optimum fIshing tempertures were estimated, from the relationship between the catch and the sea surface temperature. In the beginning of the fishing season, June to August, the fIshing ground is formed in the very wide range, mainly in the northward area of the front meandering, as the parcific saury migrate northward. In the main season, September to November, the ground is formed in the southward area of the front, off the east coast of Japan. Andd then, the fishing season ends in December with the ground coming near to the east coast of Japan. The monthly optimum fishing tempertures showed 11~$13^{\circ}C.$ in June to July, 13-$17^{\circ}C.$ in August to November, and 15~ $17^{\circ}C.$ in December in general. The profIles of water temperature were much different in accordance by net casting position in the fishing ground, regardless of season. So, the MLD and CPUE was analyzed to find out the relation between the water temperature and the catch. Then, it is found that the CPUE shows over 0.7Mtr/haul as the MLD 40~70m.40~70m.

직업군인의 말더듬에 대한 인식 연구: Public Opinion Survey of Human Attributes-Stuttering(POSHA-S)를 이용하여 (Perceptions of military personnel towards stuttering and persons who stutter: Using the Public Opinion Survey of Human Attributes-Stuttering (POSHA-S))

  • 본 연구에서는 POSHA-S(Public Opinion Survey of Human Attributes-stuttering; St. Louis)를 이용하여 직업군인의 말더듬과 말을 더듬는 사람에 대한 일반적 인식을 조사하였다. 총67명의 직업군인(남자: 58명, 여자: 9명, 영관급 장교: 11명, 부사관: 56명, 평균나이: 31.9세, 표준편차: 8.7)이 참여하였으며, 수집된 자료는 St. Louis가 제시한 방식을 활용하여 분석하였다. 직업군인의 인식 정도를 분석하기 위해 다양한 문화권, 국가, 집단의 230개의 표본수, 총 20,941명(2023년 6월 기준)의 대상자의 답변으로 구축된 POSHA-S 데이터베이스와 비교해 상대적인 백분위수(%ile)를 산출하였다. 분석 결과, 전체 말더듬 점수가 7점으로, POSHA-S 데이터베이스의 14%ile에 해당되었다. 또한 '말을 더듬는 사람에 대한 자기반응' 하위점수가 -11점으로, POSHA-S 데이터베이스의 8%ile에 해당되었다. 직업군인의 말더듬과 말을 더듬는 사람에 대한 전반적으로 부정적인 인식을 보여주는 결과이다. 따라서 말더듬과 말을 더듬는 사람에 대한 군대 내, 특히 지휘관으로서 직업군인을 대상으로 한 인식 개선 교육이나 관련 프로그램 수행이 필요함을 제언하고자 한다.
