The study analyzed the information needs of the migrants in Area A by introducing a community-based participatory research methodology. The authors cooperated with the local community throughout the entire course of the study and proposed an inclusive library strategy for the underprivileged in the A region. Migrants were in demand for easy writing materials, reading activities programs, leisure culture programs, and literacy programs. In particular, it was analyzed that services should be provided through cooperation with related organizations. As a result of the study, it was suggested to provide experiences of deeply participating in the current library and to provide various information sources (resource guides) and to promote through children.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relative weight of infectious disease vulnerability indicators that affect the occurrence and spread of infectious diseases in local communities. For this, the infectious disease vulnerability indicators were classified as facilities vulnerable to spread, vulnerable groups of infections, social vulnerable conditions, and response capabilities based on literature and case review, and the relative weights among indicators were determined using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) by 22 experts. As a result of the analysis, the weight of each sector was found to be the highest in the facilities vulnerable to spread, and the overall weight was highest in the following order: sickbed securing rate(1st), density of religious facilities(2nd), medical personnel rate(3rd), elderly person ratio(4th), and entertainment establishment density(5th). These results can be used to prepare the supporting data necessary for the establishment of infectious disease response policies of local governments.

  • In this study, the characteristics of the experiences and perceptions of vulnerable adolescents on the school environment were explored and categorized, and of which the meanings were confirmed. For this purpose, Q methodology was used, and 94 Q samples were extracted by analyzing pre-interviews, literature analysis, and media search contents to form a Q population. Q classification was performed on the subjects. The schools belonging to the sample P are 7 high schools in Seoul and 4 high schools in Gyeonggi-do. As a result of analyzing the data collected in Q sorting using QUANL-PC program, a Q analysis program, it was classified into 4 types. Type 1 is 'a conformal and moeling type', and Type 2 is 'negative and defiant type', Type 3 is 'passive and helpless type' and Type 4 is 'progressive and struggling type'. Through this study, it is expected that this study will be able to understand the experiences and perceptions of the school environment of underprivileged adolescents, and to obtain the necessary clues for realistic support strategies for them.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze factors which influence social and economic performance of social enterprises, and to examine the correlation of factors affecting social and economic performance. This study was conducted following the hypothesis that the organizational characteristics(organizational type, certification type, certification year, social service supply type, and external grants) of social enterprises affect social and economic performance, and that significant correlation exists between social and economic performance. This study collected the disclosure materials of 219 social enterprises certified between 2007- 2014 from the directory of the Korean Social Enterprise Promotion Agency. The study results are as follows: First, organizational characteristics affect social performance(i.e. jobs for the vulnerable classes). In addition, certification year and external grants had a positive effect on social performance. Second, the organizational characteristics affect the economic performance(i.e. sales), and certification year and external grants had a positive effect on economic performance. However, organizational type had a negative effect on the economic performance(i.e. sales). Third, analysis found a positive correlation of factors affecting social and economic performance. This study suggests the need to diversify support policies according to the number of authentication years in order to promote self-reliance and sustainability by maximizing the social and economic performance of social enterprises.

Results: Younger elders showed lower levels of depression and fatigue than older ones. The level of sleep satisfaction was higher in older elders than in younger ones. In both groups, fatigue was positively correlated to depression, and depression and fatigue were negatively correlated to sleep satisfaction. In addition, fatigue was affected by depression, the number of persons in household and sleep satisfaction. Conclusion: Older elders showed more serious health problems than younger ones. It is necessary to develop comprehensive intervention programs in order to promote healthy lifestyle for older elders.

The purpose of the study is to propose a plan for intelligent governments to provide quick and efficient administrative services by efficiently managing knowledge and information within and outside government organizations based on ICT and facilitating access and use of information for citizens, especially vulnerable groups. This paper confirms that citizens' attitudes, perceptions, and expectations for public institutions ahead of voice-based service provision are positive through small surveys and interviews with experts with knowledge of artificial intelligence, discuss the technical aspects of voice-based services, the significance and necessity of public institutions. In addition, the government and public institutions are considering the implications of using and providing voice-based services. As a result, chatbot's voice-based service is of great significance in providing an opportunity and platform for wider citizens to participate in intelligent government, to strengthen information accessibility, guarantee and strengthen human rights and basic rights of the socially vulnerable.

  • Objectives: The aim of this study is to measure health literacy levels and to identify health literacy related factors in vulnerable elders. Methods: The research design for this study was a descriptive survey design using convenience samples. Data collection was done by interviewing questionnaire with 200 elders from welfare centers in the cities. Data were analyzed by using percentage, Chi-square and multiple logistic regression with the IBM SPSS Statistics Ver. 24.0. Results: The results of this study are as follows: Vulnerable elders' sources of health information levels were very low, especially internet. In multiple logistic regression analysis, monthly income, sources of health information were significant accounted for OR 2.201, p<.05, OR 2.989, p< .01 health literacy. Conclusion: These results suggest that interventions for improving health literacy are necessary to enhance elders' finding of health information. Also, these results could be used in developing health literacy programs by internet.
