The Synesthetic Presence and Physical Movement of Nong-ak as Seen Through Affect Theory (정동 이론으로 본 농악의 공감각적 현존과 신체 운동)

  • Affect is intensity and quality that are generated as the physical body senses the outside world. Of experienced affect, notions that are granted meaning and interpretation are emotions. Affect theory distinguishes emotion and affect and by focusing on affect, it provides methods with which to analyze physical body responses and changes and it presents new possibilities to performing arts research that uses the physical body as a medium. Nong-ak is art that concentrates mainly on the occurrence of affect rather than 'representation'. Nong-ak is a performance type in which sound, color, texture, and physical movement overlap and exist in a synesthetic way. Here, physical things such as instruments, props, costumes, and stage devices are gathered together with non-physical things such as rhythm, mood, and atmosphere around human bodies. The physical body is stimulated by these things, displays tendencies that suit performances, and becomes 'the body without an image' as it immerses itself into the performance, acting while displaying 'quasi-corporeality'. The body, which moves automatically as if without consciousness, appears more easily within groups. To transition individuals of everyday life to 'the body without an image', Nong-ak executes the group physical exercise of 'Jinpuri'. Such physical exercise builds up affect by increasing nonverbal communion and communication and brings out the creativity of individuals within mutual trust and a sense of belonging. Affect and emotion stirred up by Nong-ak act as confirmation and affirmation of the existence, vitality, and ability of one's self and groups. Such affirmation recalls Nong-ak as a meaningful and important value from group dimensions and perceives it as a performance form that should be preserved and passed on.

  • 사람의 외모를 나타내는 요소 중 하나인 모발은 그 사람의 새로운 이미지를 연출하기도 하고, 자신만의 개성과 자신감이 창출하기도 한다. 이런 측면에서 대머리 남성들은 대머리가 아닌 남성들에 비해 자신의 외모에 대한 자신감이 많이 결여되어 있을 뿐 아니라 심리적 측면에서도 심각한 영향을 준다. 탈모가 이들 남성에게 심각한 스트레스를 주는 이유는 머리숱이 적은 대머리 남성이 호감을 덜 주며, 10년은 더 늙어 보이기 때문이라고 한다. 모발은 사람의 첫인상을 결정짓는 중요한 요소라 보면 탈모증 환자들은 탈모로 인하여 자신의 신체상:Body Image)에 부정적이거나 만족하지 못하게 된다. 탈모 경험이 없는 사람들은 절대로 알지 못하는 그들만의 고민을 경희대병원에서 탈모환자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 벌였다.

  • Sight is one of the Important physical function of understand and express everyday life or artistic worts. 80% of the whole cognitive information on things and spaces comes from sight among man's five sense. This proves that the function of sight has much influence upon senses and perceptions, and such influence evokes a varier of emotional response. Emotion is an important element in framing an animation work, and need various equipment to evoke audience's impressions. Such elements as event, circumstance, time, and space are equipments for the emotional experience of audience.

  • 인간이 역사를 이루며 살아오면서 피복은 인간의 생활 수단으로서 빠뜨릴 수 없는 존재가 되었다. 사외 생활을 하면서 인간은 자신을 보호하고 남에게 자신의 이미지를 전달하고 자신의 욕구를 표출하면서 만족시키는데 있어 의복은 가장 중요한 역활을 하고 있고 인간 역시 그러한 것들을 의복에 의존하고 있는 것이다. 그러나 정상인을 위한 의복만 취급되어지는 시장에서 신체장애자들은 정상인보다도 더 세심하게 기능들이 고려된 의복이 필요함에도 불구하고 의복의 기능들을 생각하면서 의복을 선택할 수가 없다. 이러한 사앙들이 대두되면서 현대에 들어 신체 장애자 의복에 있어서 불편함을 없애고 보다 적합한 의복을 만들기 위한 연구가 진행되었다. 신체 장애자의 의복 연구는 Ward가 이 부분에 관심을 표명한 이후 임상 의사들에 의해 연구가 이루어지기 시작했다. 우리나라에서도 1976년 심성식의 한국 신체 장애자의 의복에 관한 연구를 기점으로 이 분야의 관심도가 높아지고 있으나 아직까지는 전반적으로 부족한 실정이다. 특히 위생적인 분야에서는 자료가 매우 부족하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 휠체어를 사용하는 하지 마비자의 체표 면을 떠서 기성복 패턴과 비교를 통해 보다 편안한 바지 패턴을 제시하고, 여름철에 많이 사용하는 직물로 바지를 제작하고 착용시킨후 인체 생리 반응을 분석하여 여름철에 쾌적한 바지를 알아 보았다. 이 연구를 통해 일반인과는 생활 자세가 다른 휠체어를 사용하는 하지 마비자와 일반인이 입는 기성복 바지를 착용 했을 때 생기는 불합리한 요소들을 고려하여 미적이고 기능적 및 위생적인 측면에서 신체 장애자에게 보다 적합한 바지를 제작하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.값은 $f^{m}$ (p-1)-1 이다. A Study on Cinematic Representations of Posthuman Girls in South Korea-Focused on The Silenced and The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion (한국 영화에 나타난 포스트휴먼 소녀의 재현 양상 연구 -<경성학교: 사라진 소녀들>, <마녀>를 중심으로)

  • As the symbolic images of girls besides its definition have varied according to the age and society, a posthuman girl character recently appears in the digital cinema. This study aims to analyze its cinematic representations and the social contexts in which they are created. For this purpose, the study focuses on what extent the society allows its imagined figurations as a future female body and the meanings revolving around the image of 'technologically body-enhanced female fighter'. Current digital visualization technology has developed to the extent any imaged future humans can be represented, but posthuman girls' representations have its limitation that only a human-like figuration can be allowed in accord with the traditionally idolized image of girls. It is because of the representation logic in which digital cinema is visualized based on perceptual realism that values audiences' experiences. Despite such less critical figuration which does not dare to cross the boundary between the image of human and inhuman, the posthuman girl characters create a new category of the 'dangerous girls' who are both void of sexual femininity and independent of motherhood and heterosexual romance narrative. Of course, they support the modern human-centered belief that humans can take entire control of technology with their moral behaviors and dispel the fear about the negative impact the nature of technology may have on society at large by showing their child-like figuration protecting ethical values. However, the new character of 'unruly girl' exerts her subversive act that seeks to fight against the human-centered liberal humanistic values and melancholic feeling and vulnerability that the neoliberalism and technocracy enforce. When posthuman girl characters are considered to be a marker through which we can see how different social forces are intervening and competing each other in the upcoming posthuman age, the limited figuration of the posthuman girl characters in South Korean movies illustrates the opinionated thoughts toward the instrumentalism in technology but their bloodshed struggles reveal how the corporate or state-governed techno-biopower has oppressively treated and appropriated the human body as the technology-object and also provide a meaningful opportunity to rethink its unethical violence.

Analysis of Consciousness Structure of Social Workers for the Casual Factors of Elderly Abuse Using FSM (FSM을 이용한 노인학대 발생요인에 대한 사회복지사의 의식구조 분석)

  • In this paper, the fuzzy structure model for the consciousness structure of social workers related to the elder abuse factors was derived and analyzed. The characteristics of the model was obtained as follows. First, the elder abuse behavior at the top layer was related to the attitude of the elderly and the work overload of social workers. Second, the attitude of the elderly and the work overload of social workers at the middle layer were related to the personality of social worker, the physical and mental dependency of client, and the personality of client. Third, the personality of social worker, the knowledge of the elderly, the personality of client, and the physical and psychological dependence of the client affected directly the elder abuse behavior without going through the middle layer. Fourth, the work overload of social workers at the middle layer was affected the attitude of the elderly. Finally, the age of social workers, the working image, the job training, and provision of punishment to the social workers were the isolated layer, in which the relationship between the elder abuse behavior and related factors was not found.

Predictors of Wish to Undergo Cosmetic Surgery according to Experience of Cosmetic Surgery in Female College Students (여대생의 미용성형 경험 유무에 따라 미용성형욕구에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study was to investigate which predictors influenced the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery according to experience of cosmetic surgery in female college students. A cross-sectional descriptive design was used with self-report questionnaires, which were completed by 254 subjects. Data was analyzed with t-test and regression. There were statistically significant differences in acceptance and social motivation of cosmetic surgery and the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery in the future between the two groups. Body area satisfaction and acceptance of cosmetic surgery were significant predictors to the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery in the non-experienced group. The significant predictor of the wish to undergo cosmetic surgery for the experienced group was acceptance of cosmetic surgery. The findings from this study suggest that there is need to different approaches to discuss or council for wish to undergo cosmetic surgery according to individual cosmetic surgery experience.

The Differentiation Criteria between Greasiness and Shininess on The Face Using Mechanical Evaluation and Image (기계적 평가와 이미지를 이용한 얼굴의 번들거림과 윤기의 분류 기준의 연구)

  • The facial skin condition expresses physical healthy as well as is considered one of important factors for attractiveness. Especially, most people prefer shiny skin. So various cosmetics has been manufactured for expression of shiny skin. However, shiny skin is subjectively evaluated, and difficult to evaluate clear shininess using the existing method in oily skin. Moreover, there is no clear classification criteria between shininess and glossiness, which is assessed negatively in the skin. So there has not been a reference value by mechanical measurement to define and classify shiny skin from greasy skin. In this study, we measured skin biophysical parameters (gloss, hydration, translucency and sebum) and facial images which are selected by volunteers using sensory evaluation. According to the measurement results, the values of gloss, sebum, and translucency were similar in both shiny and greasy skin; the values of sebum and gloss increased, whereas those of translucency decreased. However only skin moisture values statistically increased in shiny skin. In conclusion, we propose objective assessment criteria for classifying shiny and greasy skin using device measurement and quantitative assessment.

  • Human beings have advanced to release instinctive desire. Among the human desires, sexual desire is classed as a basic desire with appetite and has been expressed in many ways from prehistoric times to present. Despite the social and ethical restriction, expression of sexual image has been evolved with change of time and medium's development. Thanks to inventing the photograph technique, Change of pornographic image has showed a dramatic aspect since early 20th century. The video which delivers message more directly than the picture boosted this change, and the animation has experimented the expression methods and techniques numerously exceeding the limit of realistic image which reappeared by the device. In this thesis, I want to discuss how human beings express sexual desire in animation based on society's sex culture, and analyzed Japanese pornographic animation as its obvious cases. Japanese pornographic animation should be interpreted as the result of culture and society system's history. Through Heian, Edo and early Meiji period, Japanese sex culture has been kept very openly and preposterously. Transformation, metamorphosis, pedophilia, tentacle sex and exposure of specific body parts that are frequently appear in Japanese animation can be interpreted by ancient Japanese open sex culture like Wakashu, polygamy, sleeping in mixed sex group and pederasty. These Japanese odd sex culture is hard to find elsewhere and settled as intrinsic sexual expression in Japanese animation. This situation was institutionally severed by European Modernization's force at the end of World War II in 20th century. However, it seems they have been keeping their influence in a proper form until now. In this study, I discussed that pornographic animation should be interpreted in a frame of cultural phenomenon by researching the series of procedure that ancient Japanese open sex culture has been changed by the system. Sexuality which is found in general Japanese animation was started from their history, and the dichotomous expression about women can be understood that it is bent by institutionally regulated sexual opinion. Japanese history and culture can be understood that it is transformed to the dichotomy that are simultaneously according freedom of eroticism to the pornographic animation, and the fear and irresistible temptation about the woman's body as the other.
