  • The experiment was conducted to determine the optimum stocking density for Korean Native Chicken. The experiment was carried out with 810 Korean Native Chickens for 16weeks from April 22. 1987 to August 11. 1987. The chickens were housed in pens with varying stocking densities; T1(20 birds per 3.3$m^2$), T2(30 birds per 3.3$m^2$), T3(40 birds per 3.3$m^2$), T4(50 birds per 3.3$m^2$), T5(60 birds per 3.3$m^2$) and T6(70 birds per 3.3$m^2$). Each treatment contained three replicates. At the end of the trial, the average body weight of T1 was significantly heavier than that of T5 (P<0.05), but there were no statistical differences among the treatments in fed intake. The feed conversion of T3 was improved significantly in comparison with that of T5(P<0.05), and the viability of T1 showed a significantly difference with that of T5, T1 showed the highest production number, whereas T5 the lowest one.

  • Let C0[0, T] denote the Wiener space, the space of continuous functions x(t) on [0, T] such that x(0) = 0. Define a random vector $Z_{\vec{e},k}:C_0[0,\;T] {\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}^k$ by $$Z_{\vec{e},k}(x)=({\normalsize\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_0}^T}\;e_1(t)dx(t),\;{\ldots},\;{\normalsize\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_0}^T}\;ek(t)dx(t))$$ where ej ∈ L2[0, T] with ej ≠ 0 a.e., j = 1, …, k. In this paper we study the conditional Fourier-Feynman transform and a conditional convolution product for a cylinder type functionals defined on C0[0, T] with a general vector valued conditioning functions $Z_{\vec{e},k}$ above which need not depend upon the values of x at only finitely many points in (0, T] rather than a conditioning function X(x) = (x(t1), …, x(tn)) where 0 < t1 < … < tn = T. In particular we show that the conditional Fourier-Feynman transform of the conditional convolution product is the product of conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the potentials of a clinical 3T MRI in mouse brains and technical adaptation and optimization. T1-weighted images (T1WI), T2-weighted images (T2WI), FLAIR (Fluid Attenuated Inversion Recovery) images, Gadolinium enhanced T1-weighted images (Gd-T1WI), Diffusion weighted images (DWI) were acquired in brain of 2 mice (weight 20~25 g) with cerebral infarction by occlusion of right middle cerebral artery, 1 hour, 24 hours, 72 hours after infarction and 1 normal mouse brain using clinical 3T MRI scanner. We analyzed differentiation of striatum, ventricle, cerebral cortex, and possibility of detection of acute cerebral infarction. We could differentiate the striatum, ventricle, cerebral cortex on T2WI and on DWI, FLAIR, T1WI, the differentiation of each anatomy of brain was not definite, but acute cerebral infarction was detected on DWI of 1 hour, 24 hours, 72 hours after infarction and on T2WI, FLAIR of 24 hours, 72 hours after infarction. Clinical 3T MRI can be used in differentiation of anatomy of mouse brains and DWI can be helpul in detection of acute cerebral infarction in acute phase. With technical adaptation and optimization clinical 3T MRI can be useful tool for provide preclinical and clinical small animal studies.

  • In the present paper we study the Cauchy problem in a Banach space E for an abstract nonlinear differential equation of form $$\frac{d^2u}{dt^2}=-A{\frac{du}{dt}}+B(t)u+f(t, W)$$ where W=($A_1$(t)u, A_2(t)u)..., A_{\nu}(t)u), A_{i}(t),\;i=1,2,...{\nu}$,(B(t), t{\in}I$=[0, b]) are families of closed operators defined on dense sets in E into E, f is a given abstract nonlinear function on $I{\times}E^{\nu}$ into E and -A is a closed linar operator defined on dense set in e into E which generates a semi-group. Further the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the considered Cauchy problem is studied for a wide class of the families ($A_{i}$(t), i =1.2...${\nu}$), (B(t), $t{\in}I$) An application and some properties are also given for the theory of partial diferential equations.

  • This study is a digitalization study based on ICT technology as part of the development of innovative technologies in the new energy industry as a 2050 carbon-neutral policy. It is the development of an oneM2M-based IoT server platform that can be integrated and managed in conjunction with the external interface of each energy facility. It analyzes KEPCO's e-IoT standard specifications through the Power Research Institute's 'SPIN' and develops representative standards, LWM2M and oneM gateway platforms. OneM2M secures and analyzes the recently announced standard for Release 2 instead of the existing Release 1. In addition, the e-IoT standard oneM2M platform is developed based on R2. In addition, it selects the specifications for e-IoT gateway devices that can sufficiently implement KEPCO's e-IoT standards. In addition, a technology and system for developing a high-performance gateway device that considers future scalability were proposed.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of the addition of red wine on the color, water activity, hardness, pH, 2-thiobarbituric acid (TBARS) value, volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) content and total plate count of beef jerky during storage at room temperature for 4 weeks. Beef jerky was prepared using three variations: beef jerky containing 50 mL water (T0), beef jerky containing a combination of 25 mL water and 25 mL red wine (T1) and beef jerky containing 50 mL red wine (T2). The lightness ($L^*$) was the lowest at the 4-week storage period, and the $L^*$ value of T1 and T2 were lower than that of T0 (p<0.05). The redness ($a^*$) tended to decrease during storage, with the $a^*$ value of T1 and T2 being higher than that of the T0 (p<0.05). The yellowness ($b^*$) during storage was not changed, and the $b^*$ value was not significantly different among the different samples tested. The water activity decreased during storage and T0, T1 and T2 was 0.57, 0.57 and 0.60 after 4 weeks of storage, respectively(p<0.05). The hardness increased during storage and the hardness of T2 stored for 4 weeks was lower than that of T0 and T1 (p<0.05). The pH was decreased with an increase in storage time (p<0.05). The TBARS value increased during storage and the TBARS value of T1 and T2 stored for 4 weeks was lower than that of T0 (p<0.05). The VBN content increased during storage and T2 stored for 4 weeks showed the lowest (p<0.05). The total plate count tended to increase during storage, and T0 stored for 4 weeks showed the highest (p<0.05).

  • Background: In 1992, we first developed the technique for video-assisted thoracoscopic sympathectomy to treat palmar hyperhidrosis. It was soon proven to be a simple and effective therapy for essential hyperhidrosis. Clinically, patients suffereing from distressing hyperhidrosis in their heads and faces were observed. Materials and methods: From March 1997 to March 1998, the vidio-assisted thoracoscopic sympathectomy and sympathicotomy were performed in 60 patients suffering from craniofacial hyperhidrosis in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in the Respiratory Center of Yongdong Severance Hospital Seoul, Korea. Thirty-nine patients underwent a conventional sympathectomy(T1 sympathectomy group), and twenty-one patients underwent division of the sympathetic nerve trunk above the T2 sympathetic ganglion(T2 sympathicotomy). The median follow up was 9 months. Results: All of the treated patients obtained satisfactory alleviation of craniofacial hyperhidrosis. No recurrence was observed in group T1 sympathectomy whereas one occurred in sympathicotomy. The global rate of compensatory sweating was about the same in both groups ; 76.9% in T1 sympathectomy and 76.2% in T2 sympathicotomy. The rate of embarrassing and disabling compensatory sweating was 38.5% in T1 sympathectomy and 38.1% in T2 sympathicotomy with no significant in the statistic analysis(p> 0.05). No transient Horner's syndrome was observed in group T2 sympathicotomy whereas seven occurred in T1 sympathectomy with improvement in follow-up. Only an overnight hospital stay was required in both group. Conclusions: The video-assist thoracoscopic sympathicotomy is minimally invasive and effective. Video-assisted thoracoscopic T2 sympathicotomy has proven to be effective method and less complicated in treating patients with distressing craniofacial hyperhidrosis and consistent in obtaining the same results as T1 sympathectomy.

  • In order to investigate the uptake of the systemic insecticide, carbofuran, 2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranyl-N-methyl(arbamate) residues, fresh and aged, by rice plants, they were grown for 42 days in soils containing freshly treated (T-1), 3-month-aged (T-2), and 6-month-aged residues (T-3). The amounts of $^{14}CO_2$ evolved from $^{14}C-carbofuran$ during the 3-and 6-month aging in soil (temp. $22{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ ; moisture, 50% of the maximum water-holding capacity) were 8.9 and 26.7% of the original radioactivity applied, respectively. Mineralization of $^{14}C-carbofuran$ in soil to $^{14}CO_2$ during 42 days of rice growing was 4.4% (T-1), 11.0% (T-2), and 15.7 (T-3). The methanol extract of the 3-and 6-month-aged soils revealed that 3-keto carbofuran phenol (2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-3-oxo-7-benzofuranol) was the major metabolite, where as 3-hydroxy carbofuran (2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxy-7-benzofuranyl-N-methylcarbamate) turned out to be the major metabolite in the shoots by the enzymatic cleavage of the possible conjugate present in the methanol extract. Volatilization of $^{14}C-carbofuran$ in soil during 3-and 6-month-aging, and 42 days of rice growing was 0.026, 0.05, and 0.012-0.018% of the applied radioactivity, respectively. The $^{14}C-radioactivity$ which was absorbed from the soils by rice plants during 42 days of the growing period and persisted in rice plant tissues was 26.8, 21.4, and 10.3% in T-1, T-2, and T-3, respectively. The non-extractable bound residues were 8.3, 37.9, and 54.6% of the originally applied carbofuran in T-1. T-2, and T-3, respectively. The small translocation of $^{14}C-radioactivity$ in T-3 upwards suggests that major metabolite 3-keto carbofuran phenol is conjugated in roots and the low recovery in T-1 indicates the loss of carbofuran from the shoots.

  • Suppose K is a nonempty closed convex nonexpansive retract of a real uniformly convex Banach space E with P as a nonexpansive retraction. Let $T_1,\;T_2\;and\;T_3\;:\;K{\rightarrow}E$ be nonexpansive mappings with nonempty common fixed points set. Let $\{\alpha_n\},\;\{\beta_n\},\;\{\gamma_n\},\;\{\alpha'_n\},\;\{\beta'_n\},\;\{\gamma'_n\},\;\{\alpha'_n\},\;\{\beta'_n\}\;and\;\{\gamma'_n\}$ be real sequences in [0, 1] such that ${\alpha}_n+{\beta}_n+{\gamma}_n={\alpha}'_n+{\beta'_n+\gamma}'_n={\alpha}'_n+{\beta}'_n+{\gamma}'_n=1$, starting from arbitrary $x_1{\in}K$, define the sequence $\{x_n\}$ by $$\{zn=P({\alpha}'_nT_1x_n+{\beta}'_nx_n+{\gamma}'_nw_n)\;yn=P({\alpha}'_nT_2z_n+{\beta}'_nx_n+{\gamma}'_nv_n)\;x_{n+1}=P({\alpha}_nT_3y_n+{\beta}_nx_n+{\gamma}_nu_n)$$ with the restrictions $\sum^\infty_{n=1}{\gamma}_n<\infty,\;\sum^\infty_{n=1}{\gamma}'_n<\infty,\; \sum^\infty_{n=1}{\gamma}'_n<\infty$. (i) If the dual $E^*$ of E has the Kadec-Klee property, then weak convergence of a $\{x_n\}$ to some $x^*{\in}F(T_1){\cap}{F}(T_2){\cap}(T_3)$ is proved; (ii) If $T_1,\;T_2\;and\;T_3$ satisfy condition(A'), then strong convergence of $\{x_n\}$ to some $x^*{\in}F(T_1){\cap}{F}(T_2){\cap}(T_3)$ is obtained.
