Rhizopus japonicus와 Zymomonas mobilis의 혼합고정화 배양계에 의한 생전분으로부터 에탄올 생산 (Ethanol Production from Raw Starch by Co-Immobilized Mixed Rhizopus japonicus and zymomonas mobilis)

  • 호기성의 Rhizopus japonicus와 혐기성 Zymomonas mobilis로 구성된 혼합고정화 배양계(R-Z계)를 제조하고, 생전분으로부터 에탄올 생산에 응용하였다. R. japonicus를 고정화배양하므로서 액체배양에서 보다 2배 높은 glucose량을 얻었다. R-Z계의 에탄올 생산량은 1.67g/L(Yp/s, 0.094)이 었지만, 배양 24시간째부터 산소공급을 억제한 R-Z 24계에서는 6.54g/L(Yp/s, 0.38)의 에탄올을 얻어 대조구의 약 4배를 향상시켰다. 회분배양에서는 5%의 기질 농도가 적당하였으며, 생산된 에탄올은 15.02g/L(Yp/s, 0.36)이었다. 2% 기질을 5회 첨가한 유가배양에서는 2%기질의 회분배양과 동등한 수율인 0.38을 얻었다.

  • For two positive integers r and s, $\mathcal{G}$(n; r; ${\theta}_s$) denotes to the class of graphs on n vertices containing no r of edge disjoint ${\theta}_s$-graphs and f(n; r; ${\theta}_s$) = max{${\varepsilon}(G)$ : G ${\in}$ $\mathcal{G}$(n; r; ${\theta}_s$)}. In this paper, for integers r, $k{\geq}2$, we determine f(n; r; ${\theta}_{2k+1}$) and characterize the edge maximal members in G(n; r; ${\theta}_{2k+1}$).

Impacts of Cropping Systems on the Distribution of Soil Microorganisms in Mid-mountainous Paddy

  • Soil microbes are widely well known to play an important role for sustainable agriculture in terms of crop healthy cultivation and environmental conservation. In this context, the distributional characteristics of soil microbes according to cropping systems were investigated under rice (R)-rice (R), rice (R)-barley (B)-rice (R), and soybean (S)-barley (B)-soybean (S) cropping condition to get basic informations for sustainable agriculture, where barley was grown for winter, in mid-mountainous loam paddy located at the altitude of 285 m above sea level in Sangju area from 2014 to 2015. Estimating from microbial communities by fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) method, a total biomass of bacteria, actinomycetes, and fungi in R-B-R plot was 37% and 40% higher than that in S-B-S and R-R plots, respectively (p < 0.05). In especial, bacteria and fungi were more in R-B-R plot than those in any other ones. B. japonicum, AMF, and mesophilic Bacillus sp. were also greater in S-B-S plot than those. In the community distribution, however, bacteria and actinomycetes showed comparatively high values in S-B-S plot relative to either R-R or R-B-R plot including rice, in which fungi outstanding. In the correlation between microbial biomass and soil properties changed by the cropping, bacteria was positively correlated with C:N ratio; actinomycetes with exchangeable Ca; fungi with available $P_2O_5$ (p < 0.05). While these microbes showed negative response to water stable aggregates of soil.

한국산(韓國産) 돛양태과(科)(농어목(目)) 어류(魚類)의 분류(分類) (Synopsis of Dragonet Fish, Family Callionymidae (Pisces, Perciformes) form Korea)

  • 1988년부터 1993년까지 우리나라의 연안에 서식하고 있는 돛양태과(科) 어류의 많은 표본을 대상으로 하여 각 종(種)들의 새로운 분류(分類) 검색표(檢索表)를 작성하고 이들의 분류학적(分類學的) 위치(位置)를 재검토(再檢討)하였다. 그 결과 한국산(韓國産) 돛양태과(科) 어류로는 모두 4속(屬) 14종(種)로 확인되었는데 민양태속(屬) Eleucherochir에는 민양태 E. mirabilis 1종(種)이, 꽁지양태속(屬) Calliurichthys에는 꽁치양태 C. japonicus, 1종(種), 도화양태속(屬) Synchiropus에는 도화양태 S. altivelis 1종(種)이, 돛양태속(屬) Repomucenus에 춤양태 R. huguenini, 동갈양태 R. curvicornis, 강주걱양태 R. olidus, 참주걱양태 R. sagitta, 흰점양태 R. leucopoecilus, 참돛양태 R. koreanus, 돛양태 R. lunatus, 실양태 R. valenciennei, 날돛양태 R. beniteguri, 꽃돛양태 R. ornatipinnis 그리고 Repomucenus sp. 등 11종(種)이다. 특히 Repomucenus sp.가 서해에서 확인되었는데 이것은 제1등지느러미의 가시 길이와 꼬리지느러미식, 등지느러미의 첫번째 연조길이와 마지막 연조길이 등의 특징에서 이와 유사종(類似種)과는 현저히 다르게 나타났다. 우리나라에서 지금까지 기재(記載) 보고(報告)되었던 종(種)중에서 Callionymus kitaharai와 C. doryssus는 동일종(同一種)으로서 R. huguenini의 synonym에 해당되었고, 그 외에도 C. flagiris는 R. valenciennei에, Callionymus richardsoni는 Repomucenus curvicornis에, Callionymus japonicus는 Calliurichthys japonicus에, Callionymus altivelis는 Synchiropus altivelis로, Draculo mirabilis는 Eleucherochir mirabilis로, Callionymus lunatus는 Repomucenus lunatus로 전속(轉屬) 또는 학명(學名) 기재(記載)가 정정(訂正)되었다. 우리나라에서 주로 남해(南海)에 많이 분포하고 있는 종(種)는 S. altivelis, Calliurichthys japonicus, Repomucenus lunatus, R. curvicornis, R. huguenini, R. valenciennei 등이고, 그 외 종(種)는 대부분 서해(西海)에 다량 분포(分布)하고 있었다.

A report of four unrecorded Proteobacteria species isolated from soil in Korea

  • In 2015 and 2017, the National Institute of Biological Resources has isolated four unrecorded prokaryotic species designated as R-1-5, R-2-13, R-2-1, and R-1-8 from the peatland soil of Yongneup. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity determined the four strains (R-1-5, R-2-13, R-2-1, R-1-8) were most closely related to Curvibacter lanceolatus (99.93%), Massilia brevitalea (98.7%), Pseudomonas lini (99.54%), and Pseudomonas vancouverensis (99.93%), respectively. The four unrecorded strains belong to the phylum Proteobacteria, in which the genera Curvibacter and Massilia are assigned to the class Betaproteobacteria, and the genus Pseudomonas to the class Gammaproteobacteria. Since there are no publications or official reports on these four strains, these four species are new records to Korea. The strains were further characterized by Gram reaction, colony and cell morphology, basic biochemical properties, and phylogenetic position. Descriptive information of the four unrecorded species is provided.

AN EXTENSION OF THE BETA FUNCTION EXPRESSED AS A COMBINATION OF CONFLUENT HYPERGEOMETRIC FUNCTIONS

  • Recently several authors have extended the Beta function by using its integral representation. However, in many cases no expression of these extended functions in terms of classic special functions is known. In the present paper, we introduce a further extension by defining a family of functions Gr,s : ℝ*+ → ℂ, with r, s ∈ ℂ and ℜ(r) > 0. For given r, s, we prove that this function satisfies a second-order linear differential equation with rational coefficients. Solving this ODE, we express Gr,s as a combination of confluent hypergeometric functions. From this we deduce a new integral relation satisfied by Tricomi's function. We then investigate additional specific properties of Gr,1 which take the form of new non trivial integral relations involving exponential and error functions. We discuss the connection between Gr,1 and Stokes' first problem (or Rayleigh problem) in fluid mechanics which consists in determining the flow created by the movement of an infinitely long plate. For $r{\in}{\frac{1}{2}}{\mathbb{N}}^*$, we find additional relations between Gr,1 and Hermite polynomials. In view of these results, we believe the family of extended beta functions Gr,s will find further applications in two directions: (i) for improving our knowledge of confluent hypergeometric functions and Tricomi's function, (ii) and for engineering and physics problems.

ON S-EXCHANGE RINGS

  • We introduce the concept of S-exchange rings to unify various subclass of exchange rings, where S is a subset of the ring. Many properties on S-exchange rings are obtained. For instance, we show that a ring R is clean if and only if R is left U(R)-exchange, a ring R is nil clean if and only if R is left (N(R) - 1)-exchange, and that a ring R is J-clean if and only if R is left (J(R) - 1)-exchange. As a conclusion, we obtain a sufficient condition such that clean (nil clean property, respectively) can pass to corners and reprove that J-clean passes to corners by a different way.

  • 전력계통을 감시, 보호하기 위해서 해당 도메인에 맞게 전력감시 시스템을 운용한다. 전기품질을 위해서 전기품질감시 시스템을, 전력설비의 노후 정도, 교체기간을 감시하기 위해서 전력설비진단 시스템을 각각 운용한다. 최근 전력 IT 기술의 발달과 전력감시 시스템의 효율적 관리가 필요하게 되면서 국내외 선진사들은 전력시스템의 통합 솔루션을 소개, 개발하고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 전력감시 시스템들을 총합한 전력감시진단종합 시스템을 개 발하였고 이를 소개하고자 한다.
