게 껍질을 이용한 수중의 납 이온 제거공정의 메커니즘 규명에 관한 연구

  • 수용액상에서 게 껍질에 의한 납 이온 제거시 납 이온 메카니즘을 규명하기 위하여 납이온 제거에 미치는 pH의 영향에 대해 조사하였다. 게 껍질에 의한 납 이온의 제거는 게껍질 내에 함유되어 있는 CaC $O_{3(S)}$의 용해에 따른 미세침전에 의한 제거가 대부분인 것으로 나타났다. pH가 증가하면 납 이온 제거량도 증가하였고 이온교환에 의해 발생되는 칼슘 이온의 유출은 납 이온 제거를 더욱 증가시키고 게 껍질 내의 $CO_{3}^{2-}$는 납 이온의 침투로 게 껍질 내부에 $PbCO_{3(S)}$ 형태의 복합체를 형성하는 것으로 판단되었다. 납 이온의 제거는 대부분 게 껍질 내 $PbCO_{3(S)}$의 용해로 인해 발생되는 $Pb_{3}(CO_{3}){2}(OH)_{2(S)}$$PbCO_{3(S)}$의 침전으로 이루어졌다. 수용액 중의 납 이온은 게 껍질 내 CaC $O_{3(S)}$의 용해를 가속화시키며 게 껍질 내부에서도 납 이온의 침전물이 발생하는 것으로 관찰되었다.

  • Macrocyclic ligand has been known to selectively bind with metal ions so that ability applied for the transport of metal ions across the emulsion liquid membrane in this study. The metal ions are transproted from the source phase to the receiving phase by the carrier of the organic phase. Several factors involved in the transport of metal ions acrose the emulsion membrane we reported here and these factors provided the informations for the selective seperation of some metal ion. Stability constants for cation-macrocyclic ligand and metal ion-anion receiving phase interaction are examined as parameters for the prediction of metal ion transport selectivities. $Pb^{2+}$ was transported higher rates than the other metal ions in the mixture solution. The interaction of metal ion to anion in receiving phase is important. $S_2O_3^{2-}$- in replacement of $NO_3^-$ in the receiving phase enhances the transport of $Pb^{2-}$since $Pb^{2-}-S_2O_3^{2-}$interaction is greater than $Pb^{2+}-NO_3^-$ interaction.

Study on Adsorption and Recovery of Heavy Metal Ions, Cd(II) and Pb(II), by Chitin (키틴에 의한 중금속 Cd(II), Pb(II)이온의 흡착 및 회수에 관한 연구)

  • The adsorption characteristics of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions has been studied by using chitin as an adsorbent. The pure chitin was obtained from the extraction of red-crab shell dumped by fish factory. Adsorption kinetics of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions on the chitin reached at the maximum adsorption within two minutes. Adsorbed amounts of heavy metals were pH 7.0>10.5>3.5 in the following order. Adsorption ratio by chitin was 21${\sim}$99% for Cd(II) ion and 24${\sim}$95% for Pb(II) ion. Recovery ratio of Cd(II) ion on the chitin was 22${\sim}$53%, and that of Pb(II) ion was 22${\sim}$73%. The adsorption behavior of these heavy metals was explained well by Freundlich adsorption isotherm.

  • Si-immobilized Sargassum horneri was used to study the adsorption characteristics along with maximum adsorption conditions of heavy metal ions, Cd(II) and Ph(II) on the Si-immobilized Sargassum horneri. More amount of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions on the Si-immobilized Sargassum horneri than Sargassum horneri were adsorbed. And Pb(II) ions were more adsorbed in all algae than Cd(II) ions more effectively in alkaline than in acidity. Recovery ratios of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions on the Sargassum horneri were 58.0-62.6%, 61.2-64.4% respectively, Si-immobilized Sargassum horneri 56.8-92.7%, 37.8-47.9%. Recovery ratio of Cd(II) ion was higher on the Si-immobilized Sargassum horneri but it of Pb(II) ion was lower on the Si-immobilized Sargassum horneri.

  • In this research, a study of adsorption kinetics of heavy metal ions on the Ulva pertusa and Hizakia fusiformis which is aiming at removing metal ions from water or every kind has been carried out. During the process of this research. Adsorption kinetics of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions by the Ulva pertusa and Hizakia fusiformis, within five minutes reached at the maximum adsorption amount. The adsorption amoum by Ulva pertusa was more than the other. Adsorption ratio by Ulva pertusa were 15.0~100% of Cd(II) and 39.2~82.5% of Pb(II). Adsorption ratio by the Hizakia fusiformis were 18.3~100% of Cd(II) and 56.4~94.7% of Pb(II). Additionally, recovery ratio or Cd(II) from the Ulva pertusa presents 75.0~83.6% and that of Pb(II) ions presents 79.1~85.5%. Also, recovery ratio of Cd(II) from Hizakia fusiformis fusiformis were 66.7~85.0% of Cd(II) ions and 77.6~83.9% of Pb(II) ions respectively. As a result of this research. adsorption amount of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions by Ulva pertusa was more than it by Hizakia fusiformis.

  • PZT thin films were fabricated by the Sol-gel method. Starting materials used for the preparation of the stock solution were Pb-acetate trihydrate, Zr-normal propoxide and Ti-isopropoxide. 2-Methoxyethanol and iso-propanol were used for solution. For studying the diffusion of Pb ion into the substrates. We used bare Si substrate, $SiO_2/Si$ substrates which was produced by thermal oxidation and $TiO_2/SiO_2/Si$ which was mad by Sol-gel method. Densification and adhesion of thin films were observed by SEM. Phase formation of thin films and diffusion of Pb ion into the substrate were examined by XRD and ESCA, respectively. In the case of bare Si and $SiO_2/Si$ substrate, we obtained the perovskite phase at $700^{\circ}C$ and restricted a little the diffusion of Si ion into the film with $SiO_2$ buffer layer. In the case of $TiO_2/SiO_2/Si$, perovskite phase were obtained at $500^{\circ}C$ and the diffusion of Pb ion and Si ion were restriced.

  • The effects of Ba2+, Sr2+, and Ca2+-substitutions for Pb2+ at Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 composition were studied for thier dielictric, piezoelectric, and aging properties. For relative dielectric constants and electromechanical coupling factors, the Ba2+-substituted composition was the highest and the Ca2+-substityed composition was the lowest. In the case of mechanical quality factors, the opposite behavior occurred. Time dependence of frequency for various ion-substituted compositions is similar to that of non-substituted composition. The piezoelectric properties after aging at high temperature was the worse than that after aging at room temperature.

  • Adsorption characteristics of heavy metal ions, Cd(II) and Pb(II), on eastcoast-living algae, ulva pertusa, has been studied in our experiment. The Maximum adsorption amount of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions on 1 g of the ulva pertusa were 2.3 mg, 3.1 mg in alkaline and 2.0 mg, 2.8 mg in acidic solution. However 3.4 mg, 7.3 mg in alkaline and 3.1 mg, 6.5 mg in acidic solution were shown on the Si-immobilized ulva pertusa in the same condition. Thus, Si-immobilized ulva pertusa adsorbs more amount of heavy metals, Cd(II), Pb(II), than the ulva pertusa, and more effective absorbent in alkaline. Furthermore, more amounts of Pb(II) ion were absorbed compare to Cd(II) ion in our work. Recovery ratio of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions on the ulva pertusa were 55.0~61.0%, 59.7~66.8% respectively and 87.6~97.5%, 83.5~99.3% on the Si-immobilized ulva pertusa.

수유동활수기구 및 재료설계에 관한 연구

  • 흡착에 필요한 최적의 세라믹 볼의 소성온도는 93$0^{\circ}C$가 가장 적당하다. 공업용수 중에 용존되어 있는 유기물 및 유해성분이 제거(COD나 $BOD_{5}$)가 가능하다. Fe와 Pb의 중 금속 제거의 경우 Pb의 경우가 제거 효율이 더 크며, 이에 따른 mechanism으로 이온교환이온이 Pb의 경우 2가 양이온이기에 더욱 효율이 크고 Fe의 경우는 수화하여 구조적인 붕괴를 일으키며, 2가와 3가의 공존하므로 Pb보다 제거율이 낮다. Fe와 Pb 중금속수를 1시간 동안 제거하여 Freundlich형 등온식에 따른 계산 결과 5,10ppm에서 1/n의 수치가 2 이상을 넘지 않고 있고, 500, 1000ppm의 경우는 등온이온교환으로 할 때 1/n의 수치가 2에 근접하므로 분말의 경우에 비해 제거율이 낮지는 않다. 그러므로 경제적 이점과 재활용면에서 볼의 사용이 우수하다는 것을 알 수 있다. 장치의 용기에 비례하여 볼 때 볼의 양은 600g이 가장 적당한 양이다. 등온교환의 경우 Apatite(HAp)를 이용한 분말의 제거율 보다 약간 낮으나 분말의 경우 사용 후 취급이 용이하지 않고 2차적 오염이 예상되므로 세라믹 볼의 경우 환경친화성재료로 여러 가지의 수처라 공정에 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

The $Pb^{2+}$ Ion Affinitive Membrane Electrode Based on New Calix[4]arene Ionophore (새로운 캘릭스[4]아렌 유도체를 이용한 $Pb^{2+}$ 이온 친화성 막전극)

  • The ion selective membrane electrode made of calix[4]arene-based host 1 as ionophore, poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) as matrix and dioctylsebacate (DOS) as a plasticizer was studied. The potential responses of this membrane electrode to alkali, alkaline earth and transition metal cations were investigated. Especially this membrane electrode was turned out to be affinitive for $Pb^{2+}$ in the deionized water. It was observed that the response was linear in the concentration range from $1.0 \times 10^{-1} M to 1.0 \times 10^{-6} M of Pb^{2+}$ and its slope (26.5 mV/decade) was near to the sub-Nernstian response in deionized water. Also, the potential was maintained constantly in the range of pH $4.00 \sim 12.00$, which supports the potential usage as $Pb^{2+}$ affinitive electrode in the deionized water.
