Sol-Gel 법에 의한 Pb(Zr, Ti)${O}_{3}$ 박막의 제조 및 구조적 특성 (Preparation and structural properties of the Pb(Zr, Ti)${O}_{3}$ thin film by Sol-Gel method)

  • In this study, Pb(Zr$_{x}$ Ti$_{1-x}$ )O$_{3}$ (x=0.65, 0.52, 0.35) thin films were fabricated by Sol-Gel method. A stock solution with excess Pb 10[mol%] of Pb(Zr$_{x}$ Ti$_{1-x}$ )O$_{3}$ was made and spin-coated on the Pt/SiO$_{2}$/Si substrate at 4000[rpm] for 30[sec.]. Coated specimens were dried on the hot-plate at 400[.deg. C] for 10[min.]. Sintering temperature and time were 500~800[.deg. C] and 1~60[min.]. The coating process was repeated 6 times and the final thickness of the thin films were about 4800[A]. To investigate crystallization condition, PZT thin films were analyzed with sintering temperature, time and composition by the XRD. The microstructure of thin fulms were investigated by SEM. The ferroelectric perovskite phases precipitated under the sintering of 700[.deg. C] for 1 hours. In the PZT(52/48) composition, dielectric constant and dielectric loss were 2133, 2.2[%] at room temperature, respectively.ively.

  • In this paper, the structure, dieletric and piezoelectric properties of Pb(Fe$_{\frac{1}{2}}$/Sb$_{\frac{1}{2}}$$O_3$+ Pb(Zr$_{0.52}$ Ti$_{0.48}$ )O$_3$system ceramics were investigated and the effects of donor Nb$^{+5}$ on these properties were characterized for the application of the actuator. In xPb(Fe$_{\frac{1}{2}}$Sb$_{\frac{1}{2}}$)O$_3$+ (1-x) Pb(Zr$_{0.52}$ Ti$_{0.48}$ )O$_3$system ceramics, tetragonality decreased as x and Nb$_2$O$_{5}$ wt% were increased. In 0.05Pb(Fe$_{\frac{1}{2}}$Sb$_{\frac{1}{2}$}$)O$_3$+ 0.95 Pb(Zr$_{0.52}$ Ti$_{0.48}$ )O$_3$system, grain size was smallest but showed best dielectric and piezoelectric properties. The specimen sintered at 120$0^{\circ}C$ in 0.05pb(Fe$_{\frac{1}{2}}$Sb$_{\frac{1}{2}}$ )O$_3$+ 0.95 Pb(Zr$_{0.52}$ Ti$_{0.48}$ )O$_3$+ Nb$_2$O$_{5}$ 0.6wt% exihibited best piezoeletric properties such as $K^{p}$ =64%, d$_{33}$ =490 [$\times$10$^{-12}$ C/N] and strain was 1320[$\times$10$^{-6}$ Δ$\ell$/$\ell$]at AC 6kV/cm

  • In this study, $0.085Ba(La_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3-0.915Pb(Zr_yTi_{1-y})O_3$(y=0.45, 0.50, 0.55, 0.60, 0.65[mol]) transparent electrooptic ceramics were fabricated by two-stage sintering method. Increasing the $PbZrO_3$ contents, dielectric constant was increased and Curie temperature was decreased. In the composition of 0.55[mol] $PbZrO_3$, electromechanical coupling factor was 0.43. From the results of ferroelectric hysteresis loop and transmitted light intensity with electric field, the compositions of 0.65, 0.60, 0.55[mol] $PbZrO_3$ was applicable to electroopticmemory device and the compositions of 0.50, 0.45[mol] $PbZrO_3$ was applicable to linear electrooptic device.

  • Effect of PbO addition on sintering and piezoelectric properties at 0.45Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.40PbTiO3-0.15PbZrO3 composition which is tetragonal phase was investigated. In this composition, Porosity and dielectric constant were increased with excess PbO addition, but Kp and d31 was not changed. These variation of physical properties could be interpreted as composition change of solid grains from tetragonal to MPB region due to amount of PbO-rich liquid changing.

수열법에 의한 PZT분말 합성 연구 (Hydrothermal Synthesis of PZT Powders.)

  • 수열합성법에 의한 Pb(TixZr1-x)O3분말 합성에 대하여 연구하였다. 합성원료로는 Lead-acetate trihydrate와 Titanium isoproprxide, Zirconium propoxide를 isopropanol로 희석시킨후 가수분해 시켜 얻은 Ti/Zr 젤을 사용하였고, 광화제로서 KOH(0.5m, 1m, 2m)를 사용하였으며 140℃, 150℃, 160℃의 반응온도에서 합성하였다. 합성된 Pb(TixZr1-x)O3분말은 입방체의 형태를 띄고 있었으며 응집된 형태로 나타났다. 1m과 2m의 KOH에서는 PZT 합성이 잘 이루어졌으며 1m의 경우 8시간, 2m의 경우 1시간 이상의 반응이 필요하였고 0.5m KOH에선 5일의 반응시간에도 순수한 PZT분말만이 합성되지 않았다. 낮은 반응온도와 짧은 반응시간의 실험조건에선 합성된 분말이 대부분 PZT분말이었으나 미반응 Ti/Zr 젤이 상당량 존재하였다. 합성된 PZT분말의 크기는 KOH농의 증가에 따라 증가하였다. 중간생성물로서 PbO고용체가 생성되었으며 이는 Ti고용량이 10% 정도의 큰것과 3%정도의 작은 것으로 크게 나눌 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 초음파 모터 등의 고출력 액츄에이터에 응용 가능한 $04Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-6Pb(Zr_xTi_{1-x})O_3$ 조성시스템에 소결온도를 달리하여 압전, 유전특성 및 미세구조에 관해 고찰하였다. 본 조성을 $1200^{\circ}C$ 온도에서 2, 4, 6, 8시간 소결하여 시편을 제조하였으며 이의 결정구조 및 미세조직을 분석하였다. 소결시간 증가에 따라 전기기계결합계수와 기계적품질계수는 증가하였으며, 압전상수는 Zr(Zr+Ti)비 0.390까지 증가하였으나 그 이상 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 압전특성은 $1200^{\circ}C$에서 4시간 소결한 Zr=0.390인 조성에서 ${\varepsilon}_r$ = 4487, $k_p$ = 0.72. $d_{33}$ = 710, $Q_m$ =109의 우수한 특성을 나타내었다.

  • Effects of MnO2 addition ranged from 0.0wt% to 5.0wt% on the microstructure and dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the Pb(Zr0.52 Ti0.48)O3 Ceramics have been investigated. The solubility limit of MnO2 in Pb(Zr0.52 Ti0.48)O3 is about 0.5wt%, and MnO2 as a valence state of Mn3+ is substituted for (Zr, Ti) lattice site in PZT solid-solution. The addition of MnO2 up to 0.5wt% in Pb(Zr0.52 Ti0.48)O3 brings increase of density, but decreased of grain size and tetragonality. Dielectric constant slightly decreases, but both coupling factor(Kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) increase with the addition of MnO2. However, excess amount of MnO2 addition more than 0.75wt% results in rapid decrease of resistance. Dielectric constant and tan $\delta$ increase due to the second phase and inhomogeneous Mn distribution.

  • Effects of additives on the ceramic and electrical properties of Pb(Y$_{1}$2/Ta$_{1}$2/)O$_3$-PbZrO$_3$-PbTiO$_3$ceramics in a perovskite type structure were investigated. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the base composition were improved markedly through selection of Fe$_2$O$_3$ additives in proper amounts. The composition Pb(Y$_{1}$2/Ta$_{1}$2/)O$_3$-PbZrO$_3$-PbTiO$_3$ obtained the dielectric constant ($\varepsilon$$_{r}$=1,425). Also, electromechanical couping factors for planar(k$_{p}$) and piezoelectric constant(d$_{33}$) were obtained 0.50 and 294[pC/N] at the additives 0wt% Fe$_2$O$_3$ respectively. The mechanical quality facor(Q$_{m}$) of Pb(Y$_{1}$2/Ta$_{1}$2/)O$_3$-PbZrO$_3$-PbTiO$_3$+Fe$_2$O$_3$(0.3 wt%) is about 510.510.510.
