  • $Ba(Mg_{(1-x)}Co_x)_{1/3}(Ta_{(1-x)}Nb_x)_{2/3}O_3$ ($x=0.3{\sim}0.6$) ceramics were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were of $1400{\sim}1575[^{\circ}C]$,5[hr.] respectively. The structural and microwave dielectric Properties were investigated with composition ratio and sintering temperature. And then the application for the microwave dielectric resonator was investigated.

Role of the $Bi_2O_3\;in\;SrBi_2TaNbO_9/Bi_2O_3/SrBi_2TaNbO_9$ Heterostructure and Low Temperature Annealing Property

  • Ferroelectric properties of $SrBi_2TaNbO_9$ (SBTN) thin films were changed by the amount of Bi content in SBTN. We suggested that the addition of excess Bi into the films could be accomplished by heat-treating $SBTN/Bi_2O_3/SBTN$ heterostructure fabricated by r.f. magnetron sputtering method. Excess Bi composition was controlled by the thickness of the sandwiched $Bi_2O_3$ from 0 to $400\;\AA$. When the SBTN thin films were inserted by $400\;{\AA}\;Bi_2O_3$ layer, $Bi_2Pt$ phase was formed as a second phase in SBTN films, resulting in poor ferroelectric properties. The onset temperature for hysteresis loop can be reduced by heat treating $SBTN/Bi_2O_3/SBTN$ heterostructure. The films with $SBTN/Bi_2O_3(100\;{\AA})/SBTN$ hetero-structure followed by annealing at $650^{\circ}C$ for 30 min show 2Pr and Ec of $5.66\;{\mu}C/\textrm{cm}^2$ and 54 kV/cm, respectively.

  • In this paper, in order to develop outstanding Pb-free piezoelectric composition ceramics, the $(Na_{0.525}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037})O_3+0.3wt%Bi_2O_3+0.4wt%Fe_2O_3+xwt%CuO$ (x= 0~0.8 wt%)(abbreviated as NKL-NST) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been synthesized using the ordinary solid state reaction method. The effects of CuO-doping on the structure and electrical properties of the NKL-NST ceramics were systematically studied. The results show that the ceramics exhibit a pure perovskite structure with orthorhombic phase at room temperature, and secondary phase was found in the ceramics. The 0.4 wt%CuO added ceramics sintered at $950^{\circ}C$ showed the optimum properties of piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient(kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) : $d_{33}=213$[pC/N], kp= 0.43, Qm= 423,respectively.

  • $(Na_{0.525}K_{0.4425}Li_{0.0375})(Nb_{0.9975}Sb_{0.065}Ta_{0.0375})O_3+0.3 wt%CoO$ ceramics were fabricated as a function of CuO addition by traditional solid state sintering process in order to develop excellent lead-free piezoelectric ceramics composition. The addition of CuO in the LNKNTS composition ceramics can effectively enhance the densification of the ceramics, resulting in the oxygen vacancies as hardening effect. The excellent piezoelectric properties of electromechanical coupling factor($k{\small}_P$) of 0.378, piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$) of 152 pC/N were obtained from the 1.0 mol% CuO doped LNKNTS ceramics sintered at $1,020^{\circ}C$ for 3 h.

  • In this paper, piezoelectric ceramics with the composition of $(Na_{0.525}K_{0.4425}Li_{0.0375})(Nb_{0.8975}Sb_{0.065}Ta_{0.0375})O_3+0.3wt%\;CoO+x\;CuO$ ($0.005{\leq}x{\leq}0.025$) (abbreviated to NKL-NST) were fabricated for ultrasonic sensor application. The effects of CuO addition and sintering on the microstructure and the piezoelectric properties of the NKL-NST ceramics were systematically studied. Excellent piezoelectric properties such as electromchanical coupling $factor(k_p)=0.415$, piezoelectric constant $(d_{33})=166pC/N$ and piezoelectric figure of merit $d_{{33}*}g_{33}=5.47pm^2/N$ were obtained from the 2.5 mol% CuO doped NKL-NST+0.3 wt%CoO ceramics sintered at $1,000^{\circ}C$ for 3 h.

  • In this paper, in order to develop excellent composition ceramics for a piezoelectric energy- harvesting device, we synthesized $0.99(Na_{0.52}\;K_{0.443}\;Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}\;Sb_{0.08}\;Ta_{0.037})O_3$ + $0.01(Sr_{0.95}Ca_{0.05})TiO_3$ + $0.3\;wt%\;Bi_2O_3\;+\;0.3\;wt%\;Fe_2O_3\;+\;0.3\;wt%\;CuO$ (abbreviated as NKN-SCT) ceramics with different sintering times, using the ordinary solid-state reaction method. The effect of sintering time on the microstructure and piezoelectric properties was investigated. The ceramics with the sintering time of 7 h have the optimum values of the piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$), piezoelectric voltage constant ($g_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient (kp), mechanical quality factor (Qm), and dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}r$): $d_{33}=314[pC/N]$, $g_{33}=20.07[10^{-3}mV/N]$, kp = 0.442, Qm = 93, ${\varepsilon}r=1,768$, all being suitable for a piezoelectric energy-harvesting device.

  • The 0.8Ba($Zn_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})O_3$-0.2Ba($Co_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ ceramics were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method. The structural properties of the 0.8BZT-0.2BCN ceramics with the sintering temperature were investigated by XRD and SEM. The 0.8BZT-0.2BCN ceramics had a superstructure reflection plane of (100), (200). Increasing the sintering temperature. the ordering parameter of B-site atoms were increased. The lattice constant of 0.8BZT-0.2BCN ceramics was 3.97${\AA}$. Increasing the sintering temperature, the average gram sizes were increased. In the case of the 0.8BZT-0.2BCN ceramics sintered at 1500$^{\circ}C$, the average grain size and bulk density were 1.56${\mu}m$, 6.93$g/cm^3$, respectively.

Zn 도핑을 통한 (K,Na)NbO3-Bi(Ni,Ta)O3 세라믹의 미세구조 및 에너지 저장 물성 제어 (Modulation of Microstructure and Energy Storage Performance in (K,Na)NbO3-Bi(Ni,Ta)O3 Ceramics through Zn Doping)

  • Lead-free perovskite ceramics, which have excellent energy storage capabilities, are attracting attention owing to their high power density and rapid charge-discharge speed. Given that the energy-storage properties of perovskite ceramic capacitors are significantly improved by doping with various elements, modifying their chemical compositions is a fundamental strategy. This study investigated the effect of Zn doping on the microstructure and energy storage performance of potassium sodium niobate (KNN)-based ceramics. Two types of powders and their corresponding ceramics with compositions of (1-x)(K,Na)NbO3-xBi(Ni2/3Ta1/3)O3 (KNN-BNT) and (1-x)(K,Na)NbO3-xBi(Ni1/3Zn1/3Ta1/3)O3 (KNN-BNZT) were prepared via solid-state reactions. The results indicate that Zn doping retards grain growth, resulting in smaller grain sizes in Zn-doped KNN-BNZT than in KNN-BNT ceramics. Moreover, the Zn-doped KNN-BNZT ceramics exhibited superior energy storage density and efficiency across all x values. Notably, 0.9KNN-0.1BNZT ceramics demonstrate an energy storage density and efficiency of 0.24 J/cm3 and 96%, respectively. These ceramics also exhibited excellent temperature and frequency stability. This study provides valuable insights into the design of KNN-based ceramic capacitors with enhanced energy storage capabilities through doping strategies.

  • The structural and microwave properties of Ba($Mg_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})O_3$-Ba($Co_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ ceramics were investigated with composition ratio. The specimens were sintered at 1525$^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours in air. All specimens exhibited superlattice reflection planes of (100), (111), (200), (201), and (112). Increasing mole ratio of BCN ceramics, the peak intensity of superstructure reflection plane were decreased, while dielectric constant was slightly increased. The dielectric constant and quality factor of the 0.8BMT-0.2BCN ceramics were 27.51, 103,681 [at 1GHz], respectively.

The $SnO_2$-doped ($Na_{0.525}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037})O_3$)(abbreviated as NKL-NST) ceramics have been synthesized using the ordinary solid state reaction method. The effect of $SnO_2$-doping on their dielectric and piezoelectric properties was investigated. The ceramics doped with 0 wt% $SnO_2$ have the optimum values of piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$), piezoelectric figure of merit($d_{33}.g_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient($k_p$) and density : $d_{33}=195[pC/N]$, $d_{33}.g_{33}=5.62pm^2/N.kp=0.40$, $density=4.436[g/cm^3]$. suitable for duplex ultrasonic sensor application.
