  • In the industrial motor drive systems, a torsional vibration is often generated because of the elastic elements in torque transmission. One of general methods for the system is H$\infty$ controller to suppress the torsional vibration and reject the torque disturbance. vibration and reject the torque disturbance. Moreover, the two-degrees-of-freedom controller, which includes the H$\infty$ controller, is designed in order to improve the command following property. In this paper, we propose a new H$\infty$ controller with partial state feedback. This method having simple structure satisfies with the fast command following property and the attenuation of disturbances and vibrations simultaneously, just like the complicated TDOF H$\infty$ controller

  • The $H_{\infty}$ approach, adopted in this paper, is based on loop shaping using a normalized coprime factor combined with a field-oriented control to control induction motor. We develop two loops. The first one, the inner loop, controls the stator current by $H{\infty}$ controller in order to obtain good performance. The second loop, the outer one, guarantees stability and tracking performance of speed and rotor flux using a proportional integral controller. When the rotor flux cannot be measured, we introduce a flux observer to estimate the rotor flux. Simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the effectiveness and the good performance of this control technique.

  • 외팔보의 진동문제를 외란에 대한 감도최소화 문제로 공식화하여 현재 많이 개발되어 있는 H$_{\infty}$ 제어기법의 해를 이용하여 접근하고, 이의 성능을 비교하기 위하여 H$_{2}$ 공간에서의 특수한 문제인 LQG를 다루었다. 작동기는 압전소자를 사용하였고, 실제 항공익 등의 문제와 일치를 꾀하기 위하여 기반가진 형태의 외란을 가하였다. 모의 실험이 수행되었으며, 제시된 제어기가 많은 상황에서 좋은 성능을 가진다는 것이 밝혀졌다.

  • The tilt rotor aircraft has the flight characteristics which takes off vertically like a helicopter and flies forward like an airplane. Especially, the transition process from a helicopter to an airplane mode requires not only the mixing of control inputs but also the stability and controllability augmentation system(SCAS) in order to keep the safe flight because there are compound flight dynamic characteristics of a helicopter and an airplane including non-linearity, uncertainty. This paper describes the design of SCAS in a lateral motion for the tilt rotor aircraft based on the $H_{\infty}$ control method, which was performed from mathematical model with weighting matrix based on the relationship between the $H_{\infty}$ norm and the sensitivity function. Through simulation analysis for the controller designed on the $H_{\infty}$ control theory, it was shown that this method may be applied to the control design of the tilt rotor aircraft.

  • This paper proposes a novel $H{\infty}$ T-S Fuzzy controller with a weighted integral action for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) which have nonlinear dynamics. The $H{\infty}$ T-S Fuzzy controller is used for the robustness of nonlinear systems and the weighted integral action is used for the tracking problem and the improvement of control performance. A T-S Fuzzy controller is designed by combining the local controllers with the overall stability, and LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality)is used to determine the gains of linear controllers. The tracking problem of IPMSM is changed into regulator problem by introducing the integral action and the weighting factor gives flexibility to a $H{\infty}$ fuzzy controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 혼합감도문제를 이용하여 강인한 서보계를 구성함으로서 동위치 제어 시스템의 제어계를 설계하는 방법을 제안하였고, LQG를 이용한 다변수 디지털 서보 제어기 및 H$\infty$ 최적 제어기와의 비교실험을 통하여 제안된 제어기의 유용성을 입증하였다.

Structure-Control Combined Design with Structure Intensity

  • This paper proposes an optimum design method of structural and control systems, using a 2-D truss structure as an example. The structure is subjected to initial static loads and disturbances. For the structure, a FEM model is formed. Using modal transformation, the equation of motion is transformed into modal coordinates, in order to decrease D.O.F. of the FEM model. To suppress the effect of the disturbances, the structure is controlled by an output feedback $H_{\infty}$ controller. The design variables of the combined optimal design of the control-structure systems are the cross sectional areas of truss members. The structural objective function is the structural weight. The control objective function is the $H_{\infty}$ norm, the performance index of control. The second structural objective function is the energy of the response related to the initial state, which is derived from the time integration of the quadratic form of the state in the closed-loop system. In a numerical example, simulations have been perform. Through the consideration of structural weight and $H_{\infty}$ norm, an advantage of the combined optimum design of structural and control systems is shown. Moreover, since the performance index of control is almost nearly optimiz, we can acquire better design of structural strength.

Quasi-LQG/$H_{infty}$/LTR Control for a Nonlinear Servo System with Coulomb Friction and Dead-zone

  • In this paper we propose a controller design method, called Quasi-LQG/$H_{\infty}$/LTR for nonlinear servo systems with hard nonlinearities such as Coulomb friction, dead-zone. Introducing the RIDF method to model Coulomb friction and dead-zone, the statistically linearized system is built. Then, we consider $H_{\infty}$ performance constraint for the optimization of statistically linearized systems, by replacing a covariance Lyapunov equation into a modified Riccati equation of which solution leads to an upper bound of the LQG performance. As a result, the nonlinear correction term is included in coupled Riccati equation, which is generally very difficult to thave a numerical solution. To solve this problem, we use the modified loop shaping technique and show some analytic proofs on LTR condition. Finally, the Quasi-LQG/$H_{\infty}$/LTR controller for a nonlinear system is synthesized by inverse random input describing function techniques (ITIDF). It is shown that the proposed design method has a better performance robustness to the hard nonlinearity than LQG/$H_{\infty}$/LTR method via simulations and experiments for the timing-belt driving servo system that contains the Coulomb friction and dead-zone.

  • 리프팅 기법을 사용하지 않고 최악의 경우에 대한 등가 이산화 절차를 통하여 샘플치 $H{\infty}$ 문제를 다루었다. 이산 문제 특성화를 유도하기 위해서 표준 선형 2차 이론의 결과를 이용하였다. 제안한 방법은 한 번의 행렬 지수함수 풀이만을 필요로 하므로 리프팅 기법에 비해 매우 간단하지만, 리프팅 기법을 사용하여 구한 샘플치 $H{\infty}$ 최적 제어기와의 성능차이가 거의 없었다. 또한, 제안한 방법을 도립진자 모델에 적용하였다

  • 다중비 필터뱅크의 합성 필터 선계 문제에 H$\infty$ 제어기법을 적용한다. 순수한 시간 지연 시스템을 기준 모델로 설정하여 이 지연 시스템과 다중비 필터 뱅크와의 오차 시스템을 고려한다. 설계 하고자 하는 합성 필터는 오차 시스템의 ι$_2$-유도된 노름을 최소화하도록 설계한다.
