  • The Gibbs free energy of formation of $BaThO_3$ from elemental oxides has been measured at temperatures between 853 and 903 K using a $CaF_2$ solid electrolyte galvanic cell. The galvanic cell consisted of Pt, $O_2, CaO+CaF_2 \parallel CaF_2 \parallelBaThO_3+ThO_2+BaF_2, O_2$, Pt EMF gave the standard Gibbs free energy for the reaction $CaF_2+BaThO_3=CaO+BaF_2+ThO_3$ as $\DeltaG^o$,/TEX>=124111.031-117.597 T(J/mol).

다이나로그 파일을 이용한 부피세기조절회전치료의 정도관리 (Quality Assurance of Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy Using the Dynalog Files)

  • 본 연구에서는 미국의학물리학회 TG-119 보고서를 통해 본 원에 도입된 다이나로그 파일을 이용한 정도관리 소프트웨어(MobiusFx, MFX)로 부피세기조절회전치료의 정도관리를 시행하였다. 본 원의 치료계획장치를 이용해서 각각의 치료계획을 수립하였고, 절대선량은 표적 및 위험장기에서 전리함을 이용해 측정하였으며, 상대선량분포는 반도체검출기배열($Delta^{4PT}$)과 정도관리 소프트웨어(MFX)를 사용하여 측정하였다. 절대선량 평가에서 점 선량을 측정하였다. 표적과 위험장기에서 평균 선량 오차율은 각각 $1.41{\pm}0.92%$, $0.89{\pm}0.86%$였다. 점 선량 평가의 신뢰도를 나타내는 95% 신뢰한계는 각각 표적에서 3.21(96.79%), 위험장기에서 2.58(97.42%)로, 보고서에서 제시한 허용기준인 표적에서 4.5(95.50%), 위험장기에서 4.7(95.30%) 이내에 모두 만족하였다. 상대선량 평가는 선량 분포를 이용하여 감마지표 분석법으로 분석하였다. 정도관리 소프트웨어와 반도체검출기 배열의 평균 감마지표 통과율은 3%/3 mm의 허용기준에서 $99.90{\pm}0.14%$, $99.78{\pm}0.20%$였고, 2%/2 mm의 허용기준에서는 $97.98{\pm}1.97%$, $96.86{\pm}1.76%$로 나타났다. 감마지표 통과율의 신뢰도를 나타내는 95% 신뢰한계는 허용기준 3%/3 mm에서 정도관리 소프트웨어와 반도체 검출기배열 각각 0.38(99.62%)과 0.62(99.38%)였고 2%/2 mm에서는 5.88(94.12%)과 6.60(93.40%)으로 보고서에서 제시한 허용기준인 표적과 위험장기에서 7.0(93.0%) 이내에 만족함을 확인하였다. 따라서 이번 연구를 통해 본 원의 정도관리 소프트웨어가 부피세기조절회전치료의 정도 관리 시스템으로서 간편하고 편리한 유용한 도구로 임상에 응용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Ferroelectric $Bi_{4-x}$La$_{x}$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$ (BLT)thin films with various compositions(x=0.65, 0.70, 0.75) were prepared on Pt//Ti/SiO$_2$/Si(100) substrate by metal-organic deposition. The electrical and structural characteristics of BLT thin films were investigated to develop ferroelectric thin films for capacitor layers of FRAM. After spin coating, thin films were annealed at $650^{\circ}C$ for 1hour in oxygen atomosphere. Scanning electron micrographs showed uniform surfaces composed of rod-like grains. The $Bi_{4-x}$La$_{x}$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$ (x=0.70) thin film capacitors with a Pt top electrode showed better ferroelectric properties than other films. At the applied voltage of 5V, the dielectric constant($\varepsilon$$_{r}$), dissipation factor(tan$\delta$),remanent polarization(2Pr), and coercive field(2Ec) of the $Bi_{4-x}$La$_{x}$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$ (x=0.70)thin films were about 272.54, 0.059, 32.4 $\mu$C/cm$^2$, 2Ec=119.9kV/cm. Also the capacitor did not show any significant fatigue up to 4.8$\times$10$^{10}$ read/write switching cycles.hing cycles.s.

  • Ferroelectric $Bi_{4-x}Nd_xTi_3O_{12}$(BNdT) thin films with the composition(x=0.75) were prepared on pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si(100) substrate by metal-organic deposition. The electrical and structural characteristics of BNdT thin films were investigated to develop ferroelectric thin films for capacitor layers of FRAM. After spin coating, thin films were annealed at $650^{\circ}C$ for 1hour in oxygen atmosphere. Scanning electron micrographs showed uniform surfaces composed of rod-like grains. The $Bi_{4-x}Nd_xTi_3O_{12}$(X=0.75) thin film capacitors with a Pt top electrode showed better ferroelectric properties. At the applied voltage of 5V, the dielectric constant$(\varepsilon_r)$, dissipation factor$(tan{\delta})$, remanent polarization(2Pr) and nonvolatile swiching charge of the $Bi_{4-x}Nd_xTi_3O_{12}$(x=0.75)thin films were about 346.7, 0.095, $56{\mu}C/cm^2$ and $38{\mu}C/cm^2$ respectively. Also the capacitor did not show any significant fatigue up to $8{\times}10^{10}$ read/write switching cycles at a frequency of 1MHz.

Identification of Six Single-Strand Initiation (ssi) Signals for Priming of DNA Replication in Various Plasmids

  • Using a mutant M13 phage derivative lacking a great part of the complementary strand synthesis origin, we identified six single-strand initiation (ssi) signals for DNA replication in pACYC184, pLG214, pGKV21, and pDPT270 plasmids, and named them $ssiA_{YC}$, $ssiA_{LG}$, $ssiB_{LG}$, $ssiA_{KV}$, $ssiA_{PT}$, and $ssiB_{PT}$, respectively. Two of them were from pDPT270, one from downstream the on of pACYC184, two from pLG214, one from upstream the plus origin of pGKV21. Introduction of these ssi signals into the deleted $ori_c$ site of a mutant filamentous M13 phage ($M13{\Delta}lac182$) resulted in the restoration of growth activity of this phage. These ssi signals were classified into a number of groups on the basis of sequence similarity. $ssiA_{YC}$ and $ssiA_{LG}$ show extensive sequence homology to the n'-site (primosome assembly sites) of ColE1, whereas $ssiB_{PT}$ is homologous to the n'-site of ${\Phi}X174$. $ssiA_{PT}$ belongs to G4-type ssi signals which require only dnaG primase and SSB protein for the priming of replication. In addition, possible biological roles of these ssi signals are discussed.

Determination of Adsorption Isotherms of Hydroxide ata Platinum Electrode Interface Using the Phase-Shift Method and Correlation Constants

  • The phase-shift method and correlation constants, i.e., the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques for studying linear relationships between the behaviors (${\varphi}\;vs.\;E$) of the phase shift ($0^{\circ}{\leq}-{\varphi}{\leq}90^{\circ}$) for the optimum intermediate frequency and those (${\theta}\;vs.\;E$) of the fractional surface coverage ($1{\geq}{\theta}{\geq}0$), have been proposed and verified to determine the Langmuir, Frumkin, and Temkin adsorption isotherms (${\theta}\;vs.\;E$) of H for the cathodic $H_2$ evolution reaction (HER) at noble and transition-metal/aqueous solution interfaces. At the Pt/0.1 MKOH aqueous solution interface, the Langmuir, Frumkin, and Temkin adsorption isotherms (${\theta}\;vs.\;E$), equilibrium constants ($K=5.6{\times}10^{-10}\;mol^{-1}\;at\;0{\leq}{\theta}<0.81$, $K=5.6{\times}10^{-9}{\exp}(-4.6{\theta})\;mol^{-1}\;at\;0.2<{\theta}<0.8$, and $K=5.6{\times}10^{-10}{\exp}(-12{\theta})\;mol^{-1}\;at\;0.919<{\theta}{\leq}1$, interaction parameters (g = 4.6 for the Temkin and g = 12 for the Frumkin adsorption isotherm), rates of change of the standard free energy ($r=11.4\;kJ\;mol^{-1}$ for g=4.6 and $r=29.8\;kJ\;mol^{-1}$ for g=12), and standard free energies (${\Delta}G_{ads}^0=52.8\;kJ\;mol^{-1}\;at\;0{\leq}{\theta}<0.81,\;49.4<{\Delta}G_{\theta}^0<56.2\;kJ\;mol^{-1}\;at\;0.2<{\theta}<0.8$ and $80.1<{\Delta}_{\theta}^0{\leq}82.5\;kJ\;mol^{-1}\;at\;0.919<{\theta}{\leq}1$) of OH for the anodic $O_2$ evolution reaction (OER) are also determined using the phase-shift method and correlation constants. The adsorption of OH transits from the Langmuir to the Frumkin adsorption isotherm (${\theta}\;vs.E$), and vice versa, depending on the electrode potential (E) or the fractional surface coverage (${\theta}$). At the intermediate values of ${\theta}$, i.e., $0.2<{\theta}<0.8$, the Temkin adsorption isotherm (${\theta}\;vs.\;E$) correlating with the Langmuir or the Frumkin adsorption isotherm (${\theta}\;vs.\;E$), and vice versa, is readily determined using the correlation constants. The phase-shift method and correlation constants are accurate and reliable techniques to determine the adsorption isotherms and related electrode kinetic and thermodynamic parameters. They are useful and effective ways to study the adsorptions of intermediates (H, OH) for the sequential reactions (HER, OER) at the interfaces.

$Pb(Sc_{1/2}Nb_{1/2}$O$_3$-$PbTiO_3$계 세라믹스의 강유전성 (Ferroelectricity of the $Pb(Sc_{1/2}Nb_{1/2}$O$_3$-$PbTiO_3$ based Ceramics)

  • High-power piezoelectric materials are being developed for applications such as actuators and ultrasonic motors. In this paper, ferroelectric property of iron-doped 0.57 (Sc$_{1}$2//Nb$_{1}$2/)O$_3$-0.43 PbTiO$_3$. which is the morphotropic phase boundary composition for the PSN-PT system, was investigated. The maximum dielectric constant ( $\varepsilon$$_{33}$/$\varepsilon$$_{0}$ = 2551) and the minimum dielectric loss(tan $\delta$ = 0.51 %) at room temperature were obtained at 01. wt% and 0.3 wt% of iron additions. With additions of the Fe$_2$O$_3$ the electromechanical coupling factor of radial mode k$_{p}$ and the piezoelectric coefficient d$_{33}$ were slightly decreased, on the other hand the mechanical quality factor was increased significantly. The highest mechanical quality factor (Qm= 297) was obtained at 0.3 wt% Fe$_2$O$_3$, which is 4.4 times larger than that of pure 0.57 PSN-0.43PT ceramics. The temperature dependence of the dielectric constant and dielectic loss was observed between 2$0^{\circ}C$ and 35$0^{\circ}C$ .X> .X> .

파보일미(Parboiled rice)의 이화학적 특성 II. 파보일미(추청벼)의 물리적 성질 및 조리특성 (Physical and cooking characteristic properties of parboiled rice)

  • 1. 실온($25^{\circ}C$)과 고온(75$^{\circ}C$)에 침지시의 평형수분함랑 (EMC)은 파보일미가 생쌀보다 각각 1.8~2.7배, 1.4~1.6배, EMC에 도달하는 시간은 각각 4배, 1.7배 정도 증가하였다. 수분흡수속도 상수(k)는 실온 침지시에는 PL40과 PT40이, 고온 침지시에는 PP와 PT20이 가장 컸다. 평형부피(EV)는 파보일미가 생쌀보다 실온과 고온에서 각각 1.6~2.8배, 1.3~l.5배 증가하였고, EV에 도달하는 시간은 실온에서는 시료간에 차이를 보였으나 고온에서 는 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 실온 침지시의 부피증가속도 상수(kv)는 파보일링에 의해 감소하였으나 고온에서는 증가하였다. 2. 아밀로그램 특성에서 파보일미는 생쌀에 비하여 호화개시온도는 높았고 호화개시에 걸리는 시간도 길어졌으며 최고점도도 높았다. 파보일미의 setback은 10% 농도에서는 +값을, 12%농도에서는 -값을 보여 농도와 파보일 방법에 따라 차이를 나타내었다. 파보일미의 Breakdown은 10%와 11% 농도에서는 생쌀보다 작았으나 12%농도에서는 PT20은 생쌀보다 컸다. 3. 파보일미의 취반후 밥알의 L/W는 생쌀의 밥알에 비하여 감소하였으며 예비 침지 60분에서 침지후 최대치를 보였다. 4. 파보일미의 취반중 조리수에 유출된 고형분 함량은 생쌀이 파보일미보다 많았다. 5. 30분간 침지한 PL20과 PL40의 취반전 경도는 생쌀의 침지시보다 증가하였으나 90분간 침지한 파보일미는 현저하게 감소하였다. 파보일미의 탄력성은 취반 초기에는 생쌀과 같은 경향으로 감소하였으나 취반 15분경에는 급격히 증가하였고 취반 20분 이후에는 완만하였다. 모든 파보일미의 탄력성은 취반완료기에 생쌀보다 증가하였고, 30분 침지후 각각 30분, 40분 취반시의 탄력성은 PL40이 가장 높았다. 6. 파보일 시료중 PT2O의 색차($\Delta$I)가 가장 낮았으며 도정율이 커짐에 따라 L값은 증가하고 a,b값은 감소하였으며. 취반후의 색차도 PT20이 가장 낮았다.

Pd-Ag 및 Ni-Cr 합금의 금 전착이 전장 레진의 색채에 미치는 영향 (EFFECT OF GOLD ELECTRODEPOSIT OF PD-AG, NI-CR ALLOYS ON THE COLOR OF VENERRED RESIN)

  • As the mechanical property of composite resin improved, composite resin has been widely used esthetic dentistry. In the field of esthetic dentistry, the color of prosthetic material is very important. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the color difference of specimens, by the types of alloys and gold electrodeposit. Experimental groups were as follows : Group Prec : Au-Pt alloy with no gold coating and no resin veneer. Group Semi : Pd-Ag alloy with no gold coating and no resin veneer. Group BAse : Ni-Cr alloy with no gold coating and no resin veneer. Group Gsem : Pd-Ag alloy with no gold coating and no resin veneer. Group Gbas : Ni-Cr alloy with no gold coating and no resin veneer. Group PreR : Resin veneer on the Pd-Ag alloy without gold coating. Group SemR : Resin veneer on the Pd-Ag alloy without gold coating. Group GbsR : Resin veneer on the Ni-Cr alloy with gold coating Group BasR : Resin veneer on the Ni-Cr alloy without gold coating. In this study, colors of metal surfaces and veneered resins were evaluated by the CIE $L^{*}a^{*}b$ system. The results obtained were as follows : 1. different alloy types and gold coating make the $L^{*}a^{*}b$ system. 2. The ${\Delta}E^*$ab value between groups semi and Base was less than 1.5 and there was no $a^*$ and $b^*$ value difference between groups Gsem and Gbas 3. The values of $L^*$ and $a^*$ ain groups GsemR and GbasR were so similar that the ${\Delta}E^*$ab value was as small as 0.58. 4. In resin specimens with gold coated semiprecious or base alloys showed yellower and redder deviation than the resin specimens with precious alloy. 5. The ${\Delta}E^*$ab values between goups PreR-GsemR and groups PreR-GbasR were as small as 2.68 and 2.22 respectively.

화학 용액 증착법으로 제조한 Bi0.9A0.1Fe0.975Zn0.025O3-δ (A=Eu, Dy) 박막의 구조와 전기적 특성 (Structural and Electrical Properties of Bi0.9A0.1Fe0.975Zn0.025O3-δ (A=Eu, Dy) BiFeO3 Thin Films by Chemical Solution Deposition)

  • Pure $BiFeO_3$ (BFO) and codoped $Bi_{0.9}A_{0.1}Fe_{0.975}Zn_{0.025}O_{3-{\delta}}$ (A=Eu, Dy) thin films were prepared on Pt(111)/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si(100) substrates by chemical solution deposition. The remnant polarizations (2Pr) of the $Bi_{0.9}Eu_{0.1}Fe_{0.975}Zn_{0.025}O_{3-{\delta}}$ (BEFZO) and $Bi_{0.9}Dy_{0.1}Fe_{0.975}Zn_{0.025}O_{3-{\delta}}$ (BDFZO) thin films were about 36 and $26{\mu}C/cm^2$ at the maximum electric fields of 900 and 917 kV/cm, respectively, at 1 kHz. The codoped BEFZO and BDFZO thin films showed improved electrical properties, and leakage current densities of 3.68 and $1.21{\times}10^{-6}A/cm^2$, respectively, which were three orders of magnitude lower than that of the pure BFO film, at 100 kV/cm.
