  • Six Levels of Service are defined for each type of facility for which analysis procedures as available. They are given letter designations, from A to F with Level of Service A representing the best operating conditions and Level of Service F the worst. Yet the appropriate criteria by vehicle delay model in our situations are not formed. Therefore, The objective of this study is to form the criterion of by average approach delay based on the criterion of V/C ratio. Level-of-Service criterion of this study by TRANSYT-7F Delay Model is as follows. A:${\leq}35.5$ sec, B:${\leq}41$ sec, C:${\leq}48$ sec, D:${\leq}56.5$ sec, E:${\leq}66.5$ sec, F:>66.5 sec.

  • The forming limits are studied for cold upsetting of high strength aluminium alloy in the present paper. Different geometry ratio and frictional conditions are investigated in the forgeability test to evaluate the forming limits and also to obtain the various strain paths. The critical fracture value can be obtained by integrating along the strain path till free surface crack initiation. To predict the damage evolution of cold upsetting, the computer-aided evaluation of forming limits is obtained by using the finite-element software DEFORM-3D and the modified Cockcroft-Latham criterion. The predicted theoretical limit strains agree quite well with the experimental results.

  • Galloping instability of dry inclined cables of cable-stayed bridges has been reported by Japanese researchers. A suggested stability criterion based on some experimental studies in Japan implies that many of stay cables would be expected to suffer galloping instability, which, if valid, would cause serious difficulty in the design of cable-stayed bridges. However, this is not the case in reality. Thus, it is practically urgent and necessary to confirm the validity of this criterion and possible restriction of it. In the present study, a 2D sectional cable model was tested in the wind tunnel, and effects of various physical parameters were investigated. It is found that the stability criterion suggested by Japanese researchers is more conservative than the results obtained from the current study.

내압을 받는 외부 국부 감육 직관의 파손 기준 (Failure Criterion of Straight Pipe with Outer Local Wall Thinning under Internal Pressure)

  • This study was carried out an experimental and finite element analysis on the fracture behavior of straight pipes with local wall thinning under internal pressure. Local wall thinning was machined on the pipes in order to simulate erosion/corrosion metal loss. The configurations of the eroded area has an eroded ratio of d/t=0.80~0.92 and an eroded length of l=25, 50 and 102 mm. Three-dimensional elastic-plastic analyses were also carried out using the finite element method, which is able to accurately simulate failure behaviors. In regards to the relation ship between pressure and eroded ratio, the criterion that can be used safely under operating pressure and design pressure were obtained from this calculation. The results of this calculation were in relatively good agreement with that of the experiment.

  • The left ventricular relaxation rate is used as a golden standard which describes the left ventricular diastolic unction. So far, to get the rate of relaxation one should calculate the data after full recording, that is, off-line method. Therefore one cannot get the rate of relaxation in real-time while changing loading condition or infusing drug. But real time monitoring of the relaxation rate is necessary while changing loading condition or infusing drug to control the mechanics of heart and to get more information. We propose a new criterion to get the left ventricular relaxation rate and a real time algorithm. By comparison, it was turned out that our criterion outperforms others criterion.

  • 암석의 파괴조건식으로 Mohr-Coulomb 및 Hoek-Brown 함수가 널리 이용되고 있으나 이들 함수는 중간주 응력을 고려할 수 없다는 단점이 있다. 최근의 연구결과에 의하면 암석의 파괴강도는 중간주응력의 크기에 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 주요 암반구조물의 안전설계를 위해서는 중간주응력이 고려된 3차원 암석파괴조건식이 도입될 필요성이 있다. 이 연구에서는 주응력좌표계의 자오면에서 선형으로 나타나며 또한 Mohr-Coulomb 파괴곡면의 모서리에 부드럽게 접하는 3차원 파괴함수인 Jiang & Pietruszczak(1988) 함수가 암석의 진삼축압축강도 예측에 활용될 수 있는 가능성에 대하여 논의하였다. Jiang & Pietruszczak 함수를 이용하여 실제 진삼축압축시험 결과를 모사함으로써 이 함수의 성능을 평가하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 F-투영법과 기하학적인 성장기준을 적용하여 모듈화된 웨이블렛 신경망의 최적구조를 설계할 수 있는 성장과 전지 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기하학적인 성장기준은 지역오차를 고려한 예측 오차기준과 기존의 웨이블렛 함수와의 준직교성을 보장하는 웨이블렛 함수를 배치하기 위한 각도기준으로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 성장기준은 모듈화된 웨이블렛 신경망을 설계자 의도에 부합하도록 구성할 수 있는 방법론을 제시한다. 제안한 성장 알고리즘은 모듈화된 웨이블렛 신경망의 모듈과 망의 크기를 증가시킨다. 또한 소거 알고리즘은 모듈화된 웨이블렛 신경망의 모듈로 사용되는 웨이블렛 신경망의 지역화 특성으로 인해 모듈의 크기가 증가하는 문제점을 극복하기 위해 불필요한 모듈의 노드를 제거한다. 제안한 모듈화된 웨이블렛 신경망의 최적구조 설계알고리즘을 1차원과 2차원의 함수 근사화 문제에 적용하여 제안한 알고리즘의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 F-투영과 기하학적인 성장 기준을 이용하여 모듈화된 웨이블렛 신경망(MWNN)의 적응구조를 설계하기 위한 성장과 소거 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기하학적인 성장 알고리즘은 지역 오차를 고려한 추정 에러 기준과 이미 존재하는 다른 웨이블렛 함수와 근사적인 직교성을 보장하도록 웨이블렛 함수를 배열할 수 있는 각도 기준으로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 기준은 망의 설계자가 설계자의 의도대로 MWNN을 구성할 수 있는 방법론을 제시한다. 제안한 성장 알고리즘은 모듈과 모듈의 크기를 성장시킨다. 또한 소거 알고리즘은 MWNN의 모듈에 사용되는 웨이블렛 신경망의 지역화 특성에 기인한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 구성된 MWNN에서 불필요한 모듈의 노드나 모듈을 제거한다. 제안한 MWNN의 적응 구조 설계 알고리즘을 1, 2차원 대상 함수에 적용하여 성능을 검증하였다.

Standardization of diagnosis of cold hypersensitivity of hands and feet by D.I.T.I.

  • Cold hypersensitivity means a condition feeling cold at a temperature when one should not feel so. Cold hypersensitivity has been diagnosed based on the patient's subjective complaints. But these days, cold hypersensitivity can be diagnosed by the help of D.I.T.I.(Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging) This study is designed to verify the validity of diagnosis of cold hypersensitivity by D.I.T.I. Thermographic findings of 100 outpatients who visited the Kangnam Korean Hospital, KyungHee University, Seoul, Korea, from June 2000 to November 2000 were analyzed. The experimental group consisted of 50 patients who complained cold hypersensitivity, and for the control group, 50 patients who did not complain cold hypersensitivity. For the diagnosis of cold hypersensitivity of the hands, thermographic measurements were performed on two pairs of areas(palm-upper arm and back of hand-upper arm). And for that of the feet, other two pairs of areas(anterior thigh-top of the feet and posterior thigh-heel). When the criterion for thermal deviation between the palm and the upper arm was appointed as higher than $0.3^{\circ}C$, the sensitivity was 94.0% and the specificity, 90.0%. And when the criterion for that between the anterior thigh and the top of feet was appointed higher than $2.0^{\circ}C$, the sensitivity was 94.0% and the specificity, 76.0%. Through this study, the diagnostic standard for cold hypersensitivity of hands and feet could be presented.

상태변수와 입력변수에 시간지연을 갖는 불확정 동적 시스템의 제어기 설계 (Delay-Dependent Stabilization for Uncertain Dynamic Systems with State and Input Delays)

  • This paper aims at asymptotic stabilization for uncertain dynamic systems with state and input delays. We propose a memoryless state feedback controller which maximizes the delay bound for guaranteeing stability of the system. Using Lyapunov method and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, a delay-dependent stabilization criterion is devised by taking the relationship between the terms in the Leibniz-Newton formula into account. The criterion is represented in terms of LMIs, which can be solved by various efficient convex optimization algorithms. Numerical examples are given to illustrate our main method.
