수기요법(手氣療法)에 따른 체열변화(體熱變化)의 비교(比較) 연구(硏究) (A Study on Thermographic Change of DITI by Sugi Therapy.)

  • Objective: I carried out this study for research on thermographic change of DITI by Sugi Therapy. Methods: This study was conducted on 22 normal cases (M : F =4:18) with no past history to observe the effect of Sugi Therapy. 22 cases were divided into 2 groups. One group is a control group treated by only Acupuncture Therapy. The other group is a treatment group treated by Acupuncture Therapy and Sugi Therapy. I measured temperature of abdomen and palm by DITI (Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging) before and after treatment Result: 1. Overall the temperature difference of the treatment group was bigger than that of the control group. 2. On the palm, the average value of the treatment group was -0.56±0.70, which is lower 10 times than -0.06±0.91 of the control group. 3. On Chung-wan(CV12), the average value of the treatment group was 1.20±0.49, which is 2.15 times higher than 0.56±0.44 of the control group. 4. On Kwanwon(CV4), the average value of the treatment group was 0.77±0.73, which is 1.38 times higher than 0.55±0.39 of the control group. 5. To compare the temperature difference on the palm, Chung-wan(CV12) and Kwanwon(CV4) before and after treatment, the order is like this :Chung-wan(CV12) > Kwanwon(CV4) > palm of all treatment group and control group. Conclusion: I came to a conclusion that Sugi Theraphy is likely to work better with Acupuncture Therapy better than only Acupuncture Therapy, especially on Chung-wan(CV12).

구중질환(口中疾患)의 침구치료(鍼灸治療)에 관한 고찰(考察) (A study of Literature Review on the acupuncture and moxibution treatments for stomatopathy)

  • Objectives : To study acupuncture and moxibution treatments for stomatopathy( aphthae, oral ulceration, mycolic stomatitis, halitosis, thirst, bitter) the ancient and the present literatures were reviewed. Methods : We've got compared and analyzed 55 kinds of literatures. Results and Conclusions : 1. The acupuncture meridians used frequently for stomatopathy were $Su-yangmy\bar{o}ng-Taejang-ky\bar{o}ng(LI),\;Chok-yangmy\bar{o}ng-Wi-Ky\bar{o}ng(S),\;Immaek-Ky\bar{o}ng(CV)$. 2. The acupoints used frequently for aphthae were $Sungjang(CV_{24}),\;Yomchon(CV_{23}),\;Hapkok(LI_4),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Hyopko(S_6),\;Sugu(GV_{26})$. 3. The acupoints used frequently for oral ulceration were $Hapkok(LI_4),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Kokchi(LI_{11}),\;Sotaek(SI_1),\;Pisu(B_{20}),\;Wisu(B_{21}),\;Samgan(LI_3),\;Yomchon(CV_{23}),\;Chichang(S_4)$. 4. The acupoints used frequently for mycolic stomatitis were $Hapkok(L_4),\;Chichang(S_4),\;Hyopko\;(LI_4),\;Sungjang(CV_{24}),\;Samumgyo(SP_6)$. 5. The acupoints used frequently for halitosis were $Naejong(S_{44}),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Chung-wan\;(CV_{12}),\;Sang-wan(CV_{13}),\;Hawan(CV_{10}),\;Kongson(SP_4),\;Wisu(B_{21}),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Sugu(GV_{26}),\;Sungjang(CV_{24})$. 6. The acupoints used frequently for thirst were $Sosang(L_{11}),\;Sangyang(LI_1),\;Sotaek(SI_1),\;Kwanch'ung(TE_1),\;Ch'\bar{o}kt'aek(L_5),\;T'ae-gye(K_3),\;Kokt'aek(P_3),\;Sugu(GV_{26}),\;Samgan(LI_3),\;Igan(LI_2),\;T'aech'ung(Liv_3),\;Sojangsu(B_{27})$. 7. The acupoints used frequently for bitter were $Yangn\bar{u}ngch'\bar{o}n(G_{34}),\;Hy\bar{o}njong(G_{39}),\;Kwanch'ung(TE_1),\;Tamsu(B_{19}),\;Chokkyu\bar{u}m(G_{44}),\;Y\bar{o}n-gok(K_2),\;Shinmun(H_7),\;Chok-Samni(S_{36})$.

정상적(正常的)인 한우(韓牛)의 심전도(心電圖)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) II. 흉부단극유도(胸部單極誘導)의 파형(波形)과 전위(電位) (Studies on electrocardiogram of the normal Korean native cattle II. Wave forms and amplitudes of the unipolar precordial chest leads)

  • Electrocardiographic parameters of amplitude and the shape of waves on the unipolar precordial chest leads in the normal Korean native cattles have been measured with a 3 channel electrocardiograph built in a computed and analysis. The study was conducted on 98 heads of mean age of 17.6 months. The wave forms of P, T and QRS complex wave in all leads showed various types. The parameters of the amplitude in the wave types showed the most frequency in each lead that were analyzed as follow : 1. In P wave, amplitudes of positive type showed a frequency of 92.9% and 93.9% in leads $CV_6LU$ and $CV_6LL$ that were $83.8{\pm}31.0{\mu}V$ and $76.0{\pm}30.7{\mu}V$, and negative type showed a frequency of 97.9% in lead V 10 that were $-80.2{\pm}29.4{\mu}V$, respectively. But the plate type in leads $CV_6RU$ and $CV_6RL$ showed frequency of 48% and 58.3%, respectively. 2. Average amplitude of the QRS complex were in a range of $277.0{\pm}154.0{\mu}V$ to $648.2{\pm}146.2{\mu}V$(mean of $418.8{\pm}139.4{\mu}V$) in all leads that were manifested the Low-Voltage QRS complex(below 1 mV in unipolar precordial leads). Average amplitudes of each wave type in the QRS complex were $-250.0{\pm}139.8{\mu}V$ and $-399.2{\pm}226.8{\mu}V$ in the QS group types that showed a frequency of 50.0% and 82.5% in the leads $CV_6LU$ and $CV_6LL$, respectively. And average amplitudes of the R group types showed a frequency of 85.6%, 56.1% and 75.8% in the $CV_6RU$, $CV_6RL$ and $V_{10}$ that were $321.5{\pm}142.1{\mu}V$, $271.6{\pm}139.9{\mu}V$ and $552.4{\pm}132.7{\mu}V$, respectively. 3. In T waves, Amplitudes of the positive type showed a frequency of 60.2%, 46.9% and 83.7% in leads of $CV_6LL$, $CV_6RU$ and $CV_6RL$ that were respectively $184.7{\pm}93.7{\mu}V$ $103.7{\pm}64.43{\mu}V$ and $111.8{\pm}39.3{\mu}V$, the negative type showed a frequency of 62.2% and 93.7% in leads $CV_6LU$ and $V_{10}$ that were $142.2{\pm}82.1{\mu}V$ and $-280.3{\pm}107.2{\mu}V$, respectively. 4. Average amplitude of ST segment were $3.7{\pm}33.1{\mu}V$, $0.9{\pm}23.1{\mu}V$, $10.9{\pm}28.6{\mu}V$, $5.8{\pm}28.3{\mu}V$ and $-34.7{\pm}48.4{\mu}V$ in leads $CV_6LL$, $CV_6RU$, $CV_6RL$, $CV_6LU$ and $V_{10}$ respectively.

구강작열감증후군 환자에서 기울과 전중($CV_{17}$)압통의 상관성 - Algometer를 이용한 전중압통의 정량화 측면에서 - (Correlation between Qi-Stagnation and Pressure Pain Threshold on $CV_{17}$ (Danzhong : 膻中) in Burning Mouth Syndrome Patients - In the Perspective of Quantification of Pressure Pain Threshold on $CV_{17}$ by using Algometer -)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to find out whether there is a correlation between qi-stagnation score and pressure pain threshold (PPT) on acupuncture point $CV_{17}$ in burning mouth syndrome (BMS) patients. Methods : Thirty BMS patients who newly visited Oral Disease Clinic at the Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital were surveyed. The subjects were evaluated on age, illness duration, sex, self-assessed severity of BMS, qi-stagnation score, and PPT on 3 acupuncture points ($CV_{17}$, Rt. $SP_9$, Lt. $SP_9$). Results : There was significant correlation between age and PPT on $CV_{17}$ (p=0.005). Therefore, partial correlation analysis with age as control variable was done, and the result showed significant correlation between qi-stagnation score and PPT on $CV_{17}$ (p=0.001). Qi-stagnation diagnostic point by PPT on $CV_{17}$ was suggested as 3.8056 $kg/cm^2$ based on the fact that diagnostic score is 28.50 in the qi-stagnation questionnaire. Furthermore, considering that PPT is effected by age, we could attain qi-stagnation diagnostic equation of PPT on $CV_{17}$, that is suggested as $0.047{\times}(age)+0.848kg/cm^2$. PPT of 3 acupuncture points ($CV_{17}$, Rt. $SP_9$, Lt. $SP_9$) was compared, and the result showed that PPT was significantly lower on $CV_{17}$ (w/Rt $SP_9$: p=0.022, w/Lt. $SP_9$: p=0.012). Also, significance and correlation coefficient with qi-stagnation were higher on $CV_{17}$ (p<0.001, r=-0.620) than Rt. $SP_9$ (p=0.023, r=-0.413) or Lt. $SP_9$ (p=0.014, r=-0.444). Conclusions : The result of this study suggested that PPT on $CV_{17}$, measured quantitatively by algometer, had a strong correlation with qi-stagnation score in BMS patients. Therefore, the study showed that $CV_{17}$ can be a useful acupuncture point in diagnosing qi-stagnation by measuring PPT in BMS patients.

고분자 전해질막 연료전지의 활성화를 위한 CV 활성화법 (Application of CV Cycling to the Activation of the Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell)

  • 고분자 전해질막 연료전지의 대량 생산을 위하여 막-전극 접합체(MEA) 활성화 방법의 개발이 중요한 현안이다. 현재 개발된 MEA활성화 방법은 시간이 많이 소요됨으로 인해 수소의 사용량 또한 증가하여 연료전지의 상용화에 큰 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 통상적인 활성화 방법은 활성화 원리를 주로 전해질 수화 관점에서 이해하였다. 반면, 본 논문에서 제안된 순환전압전류(cyclic voltammetry, CV) 활성화 방법은 전해질 및 촉매적 관점에서 별도로 분리하여 이해하였다. 따라서 전해질 관점에서는 상대 습도 100%인 가습된 질소를 공급하여 전극 및 막의 전해질을 수화시키는 과정으로 구성되고, 촉매적 관점에서는 CV 사이클을 수행하여 백금 촉매에 흡착되어 있는 불필요한 오염물질, 또는 산화피막을 제거하는 과정으로 수행된다. CV 활성화법은 2.5 h 내에 활성화가 종료되어 활성화 시간을 크게 단축시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 수소 사용량도 기존 활성화 방법에 비하여 1/4 이하로 감소시킬 수 있어서 효과적인 연료전지 활성화 방법으로 제안하고자 한다.

Al-Cu첨가(添加)에 의(依)한 CV흑연주철(黑鉛鑄鐵)에 관한 기초연구 (A Study of the CV graphite cast iron with small additions of a Al-Cu alloy)

  • CV graphite cast iron has been studied and generally known to have properties close to the average values of those between flake and spheroidal graphite cast iron. However, the thermal diffusivity of CV graphite cast iron is much larger than that of the average value of those between flake and spheroidal graphite cast iron. In this study, an easy production method of CV graphite cast iron with small additions of a Al-Cu which is known as the element of the graphitization was investigated. The effects of hold time and of Al-Cu additions after the treatments with spheroidizer (Fe-Si-Mg alloy) were also investigated. Increasing the additions of a Al-Cu alloy, the holding time to form a CV graphite cast iron was decreasing. Tensile strength and thermal diffusivity (flash method) were measured in order to find the changes of the mechanical properties and the physical properties. Spheroidal, CV, and flake graphite cast iron have tensile strengths 46.44, 38.29, and $27.29\;kg/mm^2$ and thermal diffusivities $3.95{\times}10^{-6,}$ $8.41{\times}10^{-6}$, $8.81{\times}10^{-6}m^2/sec$, respectively at room temperature.

침구대성에 수록된 금침혈 연구 (A Study of Acupuncture Contraindications in Zhenjiudacheng)

  • Objectives : This research aimed to verify the validities of contraindicated acupoints in acupuncture treatment in Zhenjiudacheng. Methods : We investigated contraindicated acupoints when performing needling in Zhenjiudacheng, then verified them in today's medical knowledge and clinical studies. Results : In Zhenjiudacheng, 39 acupoints - LU2, LI4, LI13, LI14, LI16, ST1, ST9, ST12, ST17, ST25, ST30, ST42, SP6, SP11, SI18, BL8, BL9, BL56, KI11, TE7, TE8, TE19, TE20, GB3, GB18, GB21, GV10, GV11, GV17, GV22, GV24, CV1, CV4, CV5, CV8, CV9, CV15, CV17 and EX-HN11 - were described to need a careful approach in acupuncture treatment and 21 acupoints among them had contraindications. Most of the contraindications can be explained based on anatomical knowledge and results of clinical studies, and acupuncture treatment at the 39 contraindicated acupoints can induce injury of tissues or organs near the acupoints. Conclusions : The contraindicated acupoints in acupuncture treatment in Zhenjiudacheng seem to have been classified based on the adverse events experienced by doctors at that time. Therefore careful acupuncture treatment at these acupoints is needed to avoid injury to tissue or organs.

Activation of Adenosine A2A Receptor Impairs Memory Acquisition but not Consolidation or Retrieval Phases

  • Several lines of evidence indicate that adenosine $A_{2A}$ agonist disrupts spatial working memory. However, it is unclear which stages of learning and memory are affected by the stimulation of adenosine $A_{2A}$ receptor. To clarify these points, we employed CV-1808 as adenosine $A_{2A}$ agonist and investigated its effects on acquisition, consolidation, and retrieval phases of learning and memory using passive avoidance and the Morris water maze tasks. During the acquisition phase, CV-1808 (2-phenylaminoadenosine, 1 and 2 mg/kg, i.p.) decreased the latency time in passive avoidance task and the mean savings in the Morris water maze task, respectively. During the consolidation and retrieval phase tests, CV-1808 did not exhibited any effects on latency time in passive avoidance task and the mean savings in the Morris water maze task. These results suggest that CV-1808 as an adenosine $A_{2A}$ agonist impairs memory acquisition but not consolidation or retrieval.

열무에서 분리한 오이모자이크바이러스 분리주의 특성 (Characterization of an Isolate of Cucumber mosaic virus from Raphanus sativus L.)

  • 모자이크증상을 나타내는 열무로부터 Cucumber mosaic virus의 한 계통을 분리하고 특성을 조사하였다. Vigna unguiculata, Chenopodium amaranticolor and Gomphrena globosa에서 분리 바이러스의 기주반응과 dsRNA 분석, RT-PCR 검정, PCR-RFLP, 혈청학적 분석을 통하여 CMV의 한 계통임을 확인하였다. 이 CMV 계통을 다양한 지표식물에 접종하였을 때, Nicotiana benthamiana와 N. glutinosa, N. tabacum, 고추, 오이 그리고 멜론에서는 전형적인 강한 모자이크 병징이 나타났으나, 열무, 배추, 적갓은 매우 약한 병징을 나타내는 특징을 보였다. 새롭게 분리된 CMV 계통은 가지과, 박과 및 배추과 등 광범위한 작물에 감염성을 나타내었으며, 배추과에서의 감염성 차이를 근거로 Gn-CMV로 명명하였다. Double-stranded (ds) RNA를 분리한 분석에서 Gn-CMV는 기 보고된 CMV 계통과 마찬가지로 3.3, 3.0, 그리고 2.2 kb의 독립된 게놈으로 구성되어 있었으며, SDS-PAGE와 Western blotting 분석으로 통하여 28 kDa의 외피단백질을 확인할 수 있었다. RT-PCR로 얻어진 증폭산물을 Cac8I, ClaI and MspI을 이용한 PCR-RFLP를 통하여 CMV subgroup I 임을 확인할 수 있었다.

한국산 및 중국산 참깨의 화학성분 비교 (The Comparison of Chemical Compounds in Korean and Chinese Sesame Seeds")

  • 한국품종 및 중국품종 참깨를 한국 조치원 및 중국 길림성에서 각각 재배, 수확한 참깨 및 이를 볶아 제조한 참기름을 시료로 하여 화학성분을 분석 비교하였다. 참기름의 수율은 한국품종 한국산이 47.8%, 중국품종 중국산이 48.1%, 재배지 교환시는 한국품종 중국산이 48.6%, 중국품종 한국산이 49.3%로 나타났다. 참기름의 색도는 한국품종 한국산이 L값이 다소 낮아 참기름 고유의 암갈색을 띠었다. 참기름의 지방질 조성은 한국품종 한국산은 중성, 당, 인지질의 조성비가 93.1%, 6.6%, 0.2%였고, 중국품종 중국산은 94.7%, 4.6%, 0.8%로 조성면에서 큰 차이는 없었으며, 재배지를 교환시도 비슷한 경향을 보였다. 참기름의 지방산 조성은 모두 7개의 지방산을 확인하였으며, 불포화 지방산인 oleic acid 및 linoleic acid가 한국품종 한국산이 84.6%, 중국품종 중국산이 84.8%로 대부분을 차지하였고, 그 조성면에서는 oleic acid 및 linoleic acid가 한국품종 한국산은 47.1%, 37.5%인데 비해 중국품종 중국산은 40.5%, 44.3%로 다소 차이를 보였다. 참깨의 아미노산 함량은 생시료의 경우 한국품종 한국산이 713mg%로서 중국품종 중국산 238mg%보다 월등히 높았으며, 필수 아미노산 함량 또한 한국품종 한국산이 309mg%로서 중국품종 중국산 99mg%에 비해 월등히 높게 나타났다. 한편 재배지를 교환시 아미노산 함량은 한국품종 중국산은 한국 재배시보다 44% 정도 감소하였고 중국품종 한국산은 중국재배시 보다 63% 정도 증가하였으며, 시료를 볶음처리했을 경우 아미노산 함량은 한국산 및 중국산 모두 현저한 감소를 보였다.
