  • It is well-known that quasi-$Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ domains are characterized as those domains D, such that every extension of D inside its quotient field is a primitive extension and that primitive extensions are characterized in terms of INC-extensions. Let $R={\bigoplus}_{{\alpha}{{\in}}{\Gamma}}$ $R_{\alpha}$ be a graded integral domain graded by an arbitrary torsionless grading monoid ${\Gamma}$ and ${\star}$ be a semistar operation on R. The main purpose of this paper is to give new characterizations of gr-${\star}$-quasi-$Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ domains in terms of graded primitive and INC-extensions. Applications include new characterizations of UMt-domains.

  • We study torsion phenomena in the integral cohomology of finite if-spaces X through the Eilenberg-Moore spectral sequence converging to H*($\Omega$X; Z$_{p}$). We also investigate how the difference between the Z$_{p}$-filtration length f$_{p}$(X) and the Z$_{p}$-cup length c$_{p}$(X) on a simply connected finite H-space X is reflected in the Eilenberg-Moore spectral sequence converging to H*($\Omega$X;Z$_{p}$). Finally we get the following result: Let p be an odd prime and X an n-connected finite H-space with dim QH* (X;Z$_{p}$) $\leq$ m. Then H*(X;Z) is p-torsion free if (equation omitted).tion omitted).

  • The main object of this paper is to set up two (conceivably) valuable double integrals including the multiplication of Bessel function with Jacobi and Laguerre polynomials, which are given in terms of Srivastava and Daoust functions. By virtue of the most broad nature of the function included therein, our primary findings are equipped for yielding an extensive number of (presumably new) fascinating and helpful results involving orthogonal polynomials, Whittaker functions, sine and cosine functions.

  • We prove that there exist foliations whose leaves are the maximal integral null manifolds immersed as submanifolds of indefinite locally conformal cosymplectic manifolds. Necessary and sufficient conditions for such leaves to be screen conformal, as well as possessing integrable distributions are given. Using Newton transformations, we show that any compact ascreen null leaf with a symmetric Ricci tensor admits a totally geodesic screen distribution. Supporting examples are also obtained.

  • This paper describe a control scheme for direct torque control of BLDC Motor. The proposed Luenberger Observer scheme calculate flux errors in order to control the torque and flux more correctly. This proposed control scheme has not the requirement of a separate current regulator and proportional-integral (PI) control of the flux and torque, there by improving transient performance and also has the advantage of less torque ripple in steady state with a fixed switching period. The effect of proposed method has been proven by simulations.

  • The symbol error probability of M-ary PSK (MPSK) and QAM (MQAM) systems using the branch with the largest signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the output of L-branch selection combining (SC) in frequency-nonselective slow Nakagami fading channels with an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) is derived theoretically For integer values of the Nakagami fading parameter m, the general formula for evaluating symbol error rate (SER) of MPSK signals in the independent branch diversity system comprises numerical analyses with the integral-form expressions. An exact closed-form SER performance of MQAM signals under the effect of SC diversity via numerical integration is presented. These performance evaluations allow designers to determine M-ary modulation methods for Nakagami fading channels.

  • This paper presents the design and development of a scaled down physical model for power Distribution Automation (DA) system simulation. The developed DA system simulator is useful in providing hands-on experience to utility engineers / managers to familiarize with the DA system and gain confidence in managing the power distribution system from the computer aided distribution control center. The distribution automation system simulator can be effectively used to carry out further research work in this area. This also helps the undergraduate and graduate students to understands the power distribution automation technology in the laboratory environment. The developed DA simulator has become an integral part of a distribution automation lab in the Electrical Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in India.

  • In this study, BIEM(Boundary Integral Equation Method) using Green's function is applied in order to analyze 3D electric field precisely. The algorithm is developed with equivalent electric surface charge as a variable, which promises less unknown variables and higher accuracy of electric field analysis. The validity of the developed program is varified by applying it to a coaxial cylinder mode and 3-phase GIS model.

  • No matter how one chooses the major arcs in the decomposition of $[x_0,\;x_0+1]$ it is always true with regard to the union, m(n), of the corresponding minor arcs that the integal of $f^2(x,\;n)$ e(-nx) over m(n) is $O(nlog^{-1}n)$. Consequently, to establish a proof of the asymptotic formulation of Goldbach's conjecture one might be tempted to take this fact as a starting point and to then concentrate the attact on trying to obtain the requisite estimate on the integral of $f^2(x,\;n)$ e(-nx) over M(n), the union of a suitably chosen family of major arcs. In this paper I show that this approach is not possible.

  • This paper presents the design of a narrow-band channel filter and its group-delay equalizer for a Ka-band satellite transponder. We used an 8th order channel filter for high selectivity with an elliptic-integral function response and an inline configuration. We designed a 2-pole, reflection-type, group-delay equalizer to compensate for the steep variation of the group-delay at the output of the channel filter, keeping the thermal stability at ${\pm}7$ ns of group-delay variation at the band edges over 15-55$^{\circ}C$. We devised a new tuning technique using short-ended dummy cavities and used it for tuning both the filter and equalizer; this removes the necessity of additional tuning after the cavities are assembled. Through measurement, we demonstrate that the group-delay-equalized filter meets the equipment requirements and is appropriate for satellite input multiplexers.
