The Structural properties of $BaTiO_3+Nb_2O_5$ ceramics with sintering temperature (소결온도에 따른 $BaTiO_3+Nb_2O_5$ 세라믹스 구조적 특성)

  • The $BaTiO_3+xNb_2O_5$(x=6, 8, 10wt%) ceramics were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method. The structural properties of the $BaTiO_3+Nb_2O_5$ ceramics with the sintering temperature and addition of $Nb_2O_5$ were investigated by XRD and SEM. Increasing the sintering temperature, the $2{\theta}$ value of BT(110) peak was shifted to the lower degree and intensity of the $Ba_6Ti_2Nb_8O_{30}$ (133) peak was increased. Increasing the addition of $Nb_2O_5$, the intensity of $BaTiNb_4O_{13}$ (201) peak was decreased and $Ba_6Ti_2Nb_8O_{30}$ (133) peak was increased. The grain size of the $BaTiO_3+Nb_2O_5$ ceramics sintered at $1500^{\circ}C$ were almost uniform.

  • The BaTiO$_3$+10wt%Nb$_2$O$_{5}$ ceramics were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method. The structural and dielectric properties of the BaTiO$_3$+10wt%Nb$_2$O$_{5}$ ceramics with the sintering temperature were investigated. Increasing the sintering temperature, the 2$\theta$ value of BaTiO$_3$peaks were shifted to the higher degree and intensity of the BaTiO$_3$and BaNbO$_3$peaks were increased. In the BaTiO$_3$+10wt%Nb$_2$O$_{5}$ ceramics sintered at 135$0^{\circ}C$ and 1375$^{\circ}C$, the grain was fine and uniform. Increasing the sintering temperature, the pore was decreased and the dielectric constant was increased. In the BaTiO$_3$+10wt%Nb$_2$O$_{5}$ ceramics sintered at 1375$^{\circ}C$, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss were 5424, 0.02 respectively.ctively.

  • In this study, the electrical properties were investigated for the deposited Ba,Sr)(Nb,Ti)$O_3$[BSNT] thin films grown on $Pt/TiO_2/SiO_2/Si$ substrate by RF sputtering method. The structural properties of the BSNT thin films affected by the $Ar/O_2$ rates were investigated. In the case of the BSNT thin films deposited with condition of 60/40$(Ar/O_2)$ ratio, the $BaTiO_3$, $SrTiO_3$ and $BaNbO_3$ phases were showed. The composition ratio of Nb and Ti in the BSNT thin films were nearly equivalent. Also, in the BSNT thin films deposited with condition of 60/40 and 80/20$(Ar/O_2)$ ratios, the composition of Ba, Sr, Nb and Ti were relatively uniform. The Ba, Sr, Nb and Ti in the BSTN thin films were not diffused into the Pt layer.

  • In this study, the structural properties were Investigated for the deposited (Ba,Sr)(Nb,Ti)O$_3$[BSNT] thin films grown on Pt/TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$/Si substrate by RF sputtering method. The structural properties of the BSNT thin films affected by the Ar/02 ratios were Investigated. In the case of the BSNT thin films deposited with condition of 60/40(Ar/O$_2$) ratio, the BaTiO$_3$, SrTiO$_3$ and BaNbO$_3$ phases were showed. Effects of Nb5+ Addition on Microstructure and Dielectric Properties of BaTiO3

  • Structural studies on the addition characteristics of Nb ions to $BaTiO_3$ solid solutions were performed by XRD and SEM/EDS technique. The X-ray diffraction peaks of the (111), (200) and (002) planes of Nb-doped $BaTiO_3$ solid solutions with different mole% of Nb were analyzed. We also investigated the relationship between the dielectric and structural properties of Nb-doped $BaTiO_3$. The transition temperatures of $BaTiO_3$ solid solution doped with 0.5mole%Nb and 1.0 mole%Nb were ${\sim}116^{\circ}C$ and ${\sim}87^{\circ}C$, respectively, which were found to be shifted to very low temperature from the transition temperature of pure $BaTiO_3$ (about $125^{\circ}C$). As a result of analysis of 1/K versus T and ln[$(1/K)-(1/K_m)$ versus ($T-T_m$)] of the two compositions used in this experiment, the diffusivity slightly differs from that of pure $BaTiO_3$ at temperatures above Curie temperature. And this characteristic was analyzed by applying the modified Curie-Weiss law.

  • Dielectric properties and the stability of the perovskite phase in the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 system have been investigated as a function of amount of BaTiO3 and firing temperature. In the specimens fired at 120$0^{\circ}C$, the pyrochlore phase was eliminated by the addition of 10-15m/o BaTiO3 and also the dielectric constant increased. However, the dielectric constant decreased with further addition of BaTiO3 even though no pyrochlore phase was found to be present. The reducing tendency of the pyrochlore phase decreased with lowering the firing temperature in the system of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 with BaTiO3. Dielectric properties in PMN ceramics were affected by the character of the BaTiO3 rather than the pyrochlore phase.

  • Effect of (Zn$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/) $O_{2}$ addition on the phase changes and microwave dielectric properties of BaTi $O_{3}$-3Ti $O_{2}$ ceramics were investigated. Addition of (Zn$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/) $O_{2}$ to BaTi $O_{3}$-3Ti $O_{2}$ resulted in the formation of Ba $Ti_{4}$$O_{9}$, $Ba_{2}$ $Ti_{9}$ $O_{20}$, Ba(Zn$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/) $O_{3}$, and Ti $O_{2}$ phases. Ba $Ti_{4}$$O_{9}$ phase was gradually transformed to $Ba_{2}$ $Ti_{9}$ $O_{20}$. This was identified by XRD and microstructure. As the Ba $Ti_{4}$$O_{9}$ phase transformed to $Ba_{2}$ $Ti_{9}$ $O_{20}$ phase, the dielectric constant increased to 37.5. Q*f$_{o}$ value was 40000 at x=0.04, and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency was +10ppm/.deg. C.C.. C.C.

  • We investigated dielectric relaxation properties of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics by addition (0~0.3 wt%) of $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit. All composition of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ added $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit showed the same crystallographic properties, coexistence of orthorhombic and tetragonal phase. By increasing addition of $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit, the Curie temperatures of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics were decreased, whereas maximum dielectric constants of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics were dramatically increased. Especially the deviations of Curie temperature $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics were increased by increasing amount of $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit, and it indicated that $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics added $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit have relaxor characteristics.
