지르코니아 표면 처리와 시멘트 종류에 따른 치면과의 전단 결합 강도 비교 연구 (In Vitro Evaluation of Shear Bond Strengths of Zirconia Cerami with Various Types of Cement after Thermocycling on Bovine Dentin Surface)

  • State of problem : The use of zirconium oxide all-ceramic material provides several advantages, including a high flexural strength(>1000MPa) and desirable optical properties, such as shading adaptation to the basic shades and a reduction in the layer thickness. Along with the strength of the materials, the cementation technique is also important to the clinical success of a restoration. Nevertheless, little information is available on the effect of different surface treatments on the bonding of zirconium high-crystalline ceramics and resin luting agents. Purpose : The aim of this study was to test the effects of surface treatments of zirconium on shear bond strengths between bovine teeth and a zirconia ceramic and evaluate differences among cements Material and methods : 54 sound bovine teeth extracted within a 1 months, were used. They were frozen in distilled water. These were rinsed by tap water to confirm that no granulation tissues have left. These were kept refrigerated at $4^{\circ}C$ until tested. Each tooth was placed horizontally at a plastic cylinder (diameter 20mm), and embedded in epoxy resin. Teeth were sectioned with diamond burs to expose dentin and grinded with #600 silicon carbide paper. To make sure there was no enamel left, each was observed under an optical microscope. 54 prefabricated zirconium oxide ceramic copings(Lava, 3M ESPE, USA) were assigned into 3 groups ; control, airborne-abraded with $110{\mu}m$ $Al_2O_3$ and scratched with diamond burs at 4 directions. They were cemented with a seating force of 10 ㎏ per tooth, using resin luting cement(Panavia $F^{(R)}$), resin cement(Superbond $C&B^{(R)}$), and resin modified GI cement(Rely X $Luting^{(R)}$). Those were thermocycled at $5^{\circ}C$ and $55^{\circ}C$ for 5000 cycles with a 30 second dwell time, and then shear bond strength was determined in a universal test machine(Model 4200, Instron Co., Canton, USA). The crosshead speed was 1 mm/min. The result was analyzed with one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) and the Tukey test at a significance level of P<0.05. Results : Superbond $C&B^{(R)}$ at scratching with diamond burs showed the highest shear bond strength than others (p<.05). For Panavia $F^{(R)}$, groups of scratching and sandblasting showed significantly higher shear bond strength than control group(p<.05). For Rely X $Luting^{(R)}$, only between scratching & control group, significantly different shear bond strength was observed(p<.05). Conclusion : Within the limitation of this study, Superbond $C&B^{(R)}$ showed clinically acceptable shear bond between bovine teeth & zirconia ceramics regardless of surface treatments. For the surface treatment, scratching increased shear bond strength. Increase of shear bond strength by sandblasting with $110{\mu}m$ $Al_2O_3$ was not statistically different.

충주광산 지역 계명산층의 텅스텐 스카른화작용 (Skarn Formation in Metamorphic Rocks of the Chungju Mine Area)

  • 충주 광산 지역은 계명산층과 이를 관입한 중생대 화강암질 암석으로 구성되며, 이들 화강암질 암석중 백악기초(134 Ma) 흑운모 화강암과 계명산층을 구성하는 석영-운모 편암의 접촉부에서 회중석을 수반하는 스카른 광상이 산출된다. 스카른은 구성광물의 공생 특성과 주 구성광물의 양적인 비에 의해 석류석 스카른대, 규회석 스카른대, 녹염석 스카른대 및 녹니삭 스카른대로 분류된다. 석류석의 화학조성은 초기 순수한 안드라다이트 (>Ad96)에서 후기 알루미늄 함량비가 증가하는 안드라다이트-그라슈라(Ad~50)로 점이적인 변화를 나타내며, 녹염석은 $Fe^{3+}$ 의 함량비가 높은 고용체 상(Ps=35)에서 암루미늄 함량비가 높은 고용체 상(Ps=25)으로 변화하는 양상을 띤다. 광물 공생 및 화학 조성상의 특징으로 볼 때 스카른화 작용은 Ca와 Fe의 활동도가 흑운모 화강암의 접촉부에서 높고 Al, Mg, K 및 Si 활동도는 석영-운모 편암내에 발달되는 스카른에서 증가하는 경향을 나타낸다. 녹염석 스카른대에서 산출되는 회중석의 유체포유물 균질화 온도는 $300{\sim}380^{\circ}C$ 이며 NaCl 상당 염농도는 3-8wt. %로, 석영 및 녹염석 유세포유물 균질화 온도는 $300{\sim}400^{\circ}C$이다. 후기 녹니석 스카른대내에서 수반되는 황화광물의 황 동위원소비는(${\delta}^{34}S$) 황철석 $9.13{\sim}9.51%_{\circ}$, 방연석 $5.85{\sim}5.96%_{\circ}$이며, 공존하는 황철석-방연석 광물쌍에 의한 동위 원소 지질온도는 $283{\pm}20^{\circ}C$이다. 이산화탄소 몰분율($X_{CO_2}$)은 $L-CO_2$가 관찰되지 않으며 $H_2O$ 풍부한 유체포유물로 구성되고 있는점과, 안드라다이트 및 규회석의 광물공생 특성과 대비하여 볼때 약 0.01로 추정된다. 광물공생 및 화학조성, 상 안정 관계, 유체포유물 연구, 동위원소 지질온도계등의 연구 결과에 의해 충주광산 지역 스카른화 작용은 $400{\sim}260^{\circ}C$ 온도 조건과 산소분압이 감소($fo_2=10^{-30}{\sim}10^{-25}$)하는 환경에서 진행되었으며, 텅스텐 광화작용은 이러한 스카른 형성 과정 중 온도의 감소($350^{\circ}C$)와 산소분압이 감소($fo_2=10^{-27}$) 하는 조건에서 수반되었다.

어육중의 riboflavin 함량의 측정 (Determination of Riboflavin Content in Fishes)

  • 초산연법 어육중의 riboflavin 함량측정에 적용가능한지를 검토하기 위하여 riboflavin 함량과 형광강도 상관성을 검량곡선으로 비교검토하였으며, 그 회귀식을 구하였다. 1. 초산연법은 개량 AOAC법에 비하여 정확도가 높고 실험방법이 간단 신속하므로 실험상의 오차를 줄일 수 있어 어육중의 riboflavin 함량측정에 적용할 수 있는 방법일 것으로 판단된다. 2. 백색어육류의 riboflavin 함량을 초산연안법으로 측정하였은 때 riboflavin 함량과 형광강도와의 상관식은 y=129.70x+0.71 이었다. 3. 9종의 백색육어류의 riboflavin 함량은 생식료 100g 중 $0.29\~0.48mg$ 4. 말쥐치육을 18일간 빙장한 결과, riboflavin의 함량변화는 미미하였다.

저온환경에서 알루미나시멘트를 사용한 모르타르의 단열양생에 따른 기초물성 평가 (Fundamental Properties of Alumina Cement Mortar by Insulation Curing Method under Low Temperature)

  • 동절기에 콘크리트를 시공할 경우 초기동해와 강도발현이 지연되는 문제가 있으며, 이를 방지하기 위해서는 콘크리트가 동결하기 이전에 시멘트의 수화반응이 일정수준 이하 진행되는 것이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구는 저온에서도 수화열이 높게 발생되는 $Al_2O_3$성분이 함량이 높은 CSA, 알루미나시멘트를 OPC에 치환하여 물성평가를 수행하였다. 그 결과 CSA, 알루미나시멘트를 사용하여 $-5^{\circ}C$의 저온환경에서 초기에 수화반응이 빠르게 진행되며, 급결현상 및 유동성저하현상이 발생되었고, 석고를 사용하여 응결시간을 지연하며 유동성을 확보하여 작업성을 개선하였다. 또한 단열양생공법을 적용하여 모르타르의 동결시간을 지연하였으며 수축보상효과를 증진시켰고 3일, 7일 강도가 증진되었다. 따라서 본 연구 결과 저온환경에서 CSA, 알루미나시멘트 및 석고를 사용하여 조기에 강도발현 증진효과가 우수하였으며, 석고 및 단열양생공법을 적용하여 작업성, 동결저항성, 조기강도 발현 성능이 개선되어 초기동해를 방지하는데 효과가 있을 것으로 판단된다.

저속 충격하에서의 금속복합재료의 동적 특성 (Dynamic Behaviors of Metal Matrix Composites in Low Velocity Impact)

  • 본 연구에서는 저속 충격에서 충격 속도에 따른 금속복합재료의 동적 거동을 연구하였다. 시험에 사용된 재료는 모재로 AC8A와 보강재로 알루미나($Al_2O_3$)와 탄소를 사용하였으며 용탕 주조법을 이용하여 금속복합재료를 제조하였다. 금속복합재료에는 15%의 부피분율을 가진 알루미나 예비성형체와 알루미나와 탄소를 각각 12%와 3% 사용한 혼합 에비성형체가 사용되었다. 제조된 금속복합재료는 인장 시험과 진동 시험을 통해 인장 강도와 탄성계수를 구하였으며, 저주파 여파기(low pass filter)와 계장화 충격 시험기를 이용하여 충격 속도에 따른 금속복합재료의 충격 거동을 연구하였다. 저주파 여파기를 이용함으로써 충격 속도에 관계없이 안정적인 실험치를 확보할 수 있었다. 충격 속도의 증가에 따라 모재와 금속복합재료의 충격에너지는 증가하였으나, 동적인성치는 일정한 값을 보였다. 충격 속도가 증가할수록 충격에너지 중 균열전파에너지의 향상이 두드러졌으며, 재료의 변형량이 증가하였다. 충격에너지 중 균열개시에너지와 동적파괴인성치의 관계를 설명하기 위하여 변형율 에너지와 노치에서의 응력 분포를 이용하여 간단한 모델을 제시하였으며, 이로부터 균열개시에너지는 동적 파괴 인성치의 자승에 비례하고 탄성계수에 반비례하는 것을 보였다.

응집공정이 세라믹 정밀여과막 파울링에 미치는 영향 (Effect of coagaulation on ceramic microfiltration membrane fouling)

  • It is well known that coagulation pretreatment can reduce foulants prior to membrane filtration. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of coagulation on fouling of ceramic microfiltration membrane($0.1 {\mu}m$) using pilot plant of $150m^3/day/train$ capacity. Train A membrane system has pretreatment process of ozonation and coagulation while train B has only coagulation. Two types of coagulation operation were investigated: back mixer(rapid mixing with or without slow mixing) which is a conventional mechanically stirred mixer and an inline static mixer. Ozone dose rate for train A was 1 mg/L and ozone contact time was 12 min. The coagulation dose(PACl 10% as $Al_2O_3$) rate was changed 20~40 mg/L according to experimental schedule. In this experimental conditions, the coagulation of back mixer type with rapid mixing(GT=72,000) and slow mixing(GT=45,000) was the best effective in reduction of ceramic membrane fouling regardless preozonation. Especially, the effect of inline static mixer was sensitive to change in water quality. Ozonation mainly affected irreversible fouling rather than reversible fouling in accordance with less adsorption of NOM on the membrane surface. Thus, the increase rate of the nomalized TMP(trans membrane pressure) at $25^{\circ}C$ for train A was relatively lower than that of train B under same coagulation process with same coagulant dosage. The best performance of ceramic membrane appeared in case of combined process with ozonation, therefore this integrated process is able to archive less coagulant dosing and secure a stability of ceramic membrane system.

a-Si:H Photodiode Using Alumina Thin Film Barrier

  • A photodiode capable of obtaining a sufficient photo/ dark current ratio at both forward bias state and reverse bias state is proposed. The photodiode includes a glass substrate, an aluminum film formed as a lower electrode over the glass substrate, an alumina film formed as an insulator barrier over the aluminum film, a hydrogenated amorphous silicon film formed as a photo conduction layer over a portion of the alumina film, and a transparent conduction film formed as an upper electrode over the hydro-generated amorphous silicon film. A good quality alumina $(Al_2O_3)$ film is formed by oxidation of aluminum film using electrolyte solution of succinic acid. Alumina is used as a potential barrier between amorphous silicon and aluminum. It controls dark-current restriction. In case of photodiodes made by changing the formation condition of alumina, we can obtain a stable dark current $(\~10^{-12}A)$ in alumina thickness below $1000{\AA}$. At the reverse bias state of the negative voltage in ITO (Indium Tin Oxide), the photo current has substantially constant value of $5{\times}10^{-9}$ A at light scan of 100 1x. On the other hand, the photo/dark current ratios become higher at smaller thicknesses of the alumina film. Therefore, the alumina film is used as a thin insulator barrier, which is distinct from the conventional concept of forming the insulator barrier layer near the transparent conduction film. Also, the structure with the insulator thin barrier layer formed near the lower electrode, opposed to the ITO film, solves the interface problem of the ITO film because it provides an improved photo current/dark current ratio.

물리·화학적 혼합 식각 공정에 의해 제조된 알루미노실리케이트 유리의 표면 형상과 광학 특성 (Surface Morphology and Optical Properties of Aluminosilicate Glass Manufactured by Physical and Chemical Etching Process)

  • Surface morphology and optical properties such as transmittance and haze effect of glass etched by physical and chemical etching processes were investigated. The physical etching process was carried out by pen type sandblasting process with $15{\sim}20{\mu}m$ dia. of $Al_2O_3$ media; the chemical etching process was conducted using HF-based mixed etchant. Sandblasting was performed in terms of variables such as the distance of 8 cm between the gun nozzle and the glass substrate, the fixed air pressure of 0.5bar, and the constant speed control of the specimen stage. The chemical etching process was conducted with mixed etching solution prepared by combination of BHF (Buffered Hydrofluoric Acid), HCl, and distilled water. The morphology of the glass surface after sandblasting process displayed sharp collision vestiges with nonuniform shapes that could initiate fractures. The haze values of the sandblasted glass were quantitatively acceptable. However, based on visual observation, the desirable Anti-Glare effect was not achieved. On the other hand, irregularly shaped and sharp vestiges transformed into enlarged and smooth micro-spherical craters with the subsequent chemical etching process. The curvature of the spherical crater increased distinctly by 60 minutes and decreased gradually with increasing etching time. Further, the spherical craters with reduced curvature were uniformly distributed over the etched glass surface. The haze value increased sharply up to 55 % and the transmittance decreased by 90 % at 60 minutes of etching time. The ideal haze value range of 3~7 % and transmittance value range of above 90 % were achieved in the period of 240 to 720 minutes of etching time for the selected concentration of the chemical etchant.

Shape-Selective Catalysis over Zeolite. An Attempt in the Alkylation of Biphenyl

  • Liquid phase alkylation of biphenyl (BP) was studied over large pore zeolites. Selective formation of the least bulky products, 4,4'-diisopropylbiphenyl (4,4'-DIPB) occurred only in the isopropylation of BP over some large pore molecular sieves. H-mordenites (MOR) gave the highest selectivity among them. The dealumination of MOR enhanced catalytic activity and the selectivity of 4,4'-DIPB because of the decrease of coke-deposition. Non-selective catalysis occurs on external acid sites over MOR with the low $SiO_2/Al_2O_3$ ratio because severe coke-deposition deactivates the acid sites inside the pores by blocking pore openings. The selectivity of DIPB isomers was changed with reaction temperature. Selective formation of 4,4'-DIPB was observed at moderate temperatures such as $250^{\circ}C$, whereas the decrease of the selectivity of 4,4'-DIPB occurred at higher temperatures as $300^{\circ}C$. However, 4,4'-DIPB was almost exclusive isomer in the encapsulated DIPB isomers inside the pores even at high temperatures. These decreases of the selectivity of 4,4'-DIPB are due to the isomerization of 4,4'-DIPB on the external acid sites. Some 12-membered molecular sieves, such as SSZ-24, MAPO-5 (M:Mg, Zn, Si), SSZ-31, and ZSM-12, which have straight channels, gave 4,4'-DIPB with moderate to high selectivity; however; SSZ-55, SSZ-42, and MAPO-36 (M: Mg, Zn) gave lower selectivity because of cages in 12-membered one dimensional channels. Three dimensional H-Y and Beta zeolites also yield 4,4'-DIPB in low yield because of their wide circumstances for the isopropylation of BP. The increasing the size of alkylating agent enhanced the shape-selective alkylaiton even for the zeolites, such as UTD-1. The ethylation of BP to ethylbiphenyls (EBPs) and diethylbiphenyls (DEBPs) over MOR was non-selective. The ethylation of BP to EBPs was controlled kinetically. However, there was difference in reactivity of EBPs and DEBPs for their further ethylation. 4-EBP was ethylated preferentially among the isomers, although the formation of 4,4'-DEBP was less selective. The least bulky 4-EBP and 4,4'-DEBP have the highest reactivity among EBPs and DEBPs for the ethylation to polyethylbiphenyls (PEBPs). These results show that the environments of MOR pores are too loose for shape selective formation of the least bulky isomers, 4-EBP and 4,4'-DEBP in the ethylation of BP, and that MOR pores have enough space for the further ethylation of 4,4'-DEBP.

고체산 촉매를 이용한 폐윤활유의 촉매 분해 (Catalytic Cracking of Waste Lubricant Oil over Solid Acid Catalysts)

  • $SiO_2/Al_2O_3$ 비가 10.5인 실리카-알루미나(SA), 10인 수소형 모더나이트(HM), 12.5인 탈알루미늄 모더나이트(DM) 등을 이용하여 폐윤활유의 촉매분해를 수행하였다. 촉매의 분해능은 SA > DM > HM 시료 순으로 높았다. SA 시료 상에서 얻어진 분해오일은 휘발유의 탄소수 분포와 가까웠고 반면 DM 시료의 경우에는 경유의 탄소수 분포와 가까웠다. HM시료 상에서 얻어진 분해오일의 탄소수 분포는 휘발유와 경유의 중간 정도였다. 산량은 $SA\;{\approx}\;HM$ > DM 시료 순으로 많았다. 10 A 이하의 균일 세공을 가지는 HM과 DM 시료와는 달리, SA 시료의 세공은 10~50 A 범위의 분포를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과들은 촉매의 산량과 세공 크기가 분해오일의 탄소수 분포와 관계가 있음을 보여준다. 촉매 표면에 탄소 및 불순물의 침적에 의한 표면적 감소는 SA > HM > DM 시료 순으로 컸다.
