희석액의 종류가 재래 흑염소 액상 정액의 생존율에 미치는 영향 (Comparison of Diluents on Liquid Storage of Korean Native Goat Spermatozoa)

  • 본 연구는 염소 액상 정액의 활용에 적합한 희석액을 검토하여, 국내 염소 인공수정 실용화를 위한 기초 자료를 확보하기 위하여 실시되었다. 두 마리의 흑염소 수컷으로부터 전기 자극법으로 정액을 채취하였다. 채취된 정액은 BTS로 희석하여 500g에서 5분간 원심분리하여 정장을 제거하고, BTS, Modena, Triladyl$^{(R)}$로 희석하여 $4^{\circ}C$ 냉장고나 $17^{\circ}C$ 온장고에서 8일간 보관되었다. BTS와 Modena로 희석된 정자의 운동성은 하루 만에 소멸되었으며, BTS로 희석된 정액을 $17^{\circ}C$에 보관하였을 때 2일째에 30$\sim$45%로 떨어졌으며, Modena에서는 3일째까지 인공수정에 가능한 활력을 유지하였다. 한편 Triladyl$^{(R)}$로 희석하여 $4^{\circ}C$$17^{\circ}C$에서 보관한 경우에는 좀더 좋은 생존성을 나타내었으며, 4일까지도 인공수정이 가능한 운동성을 보여주었다.

Dpp Represses eagle Expression at Short-Range, but Can Repress Its Expression at a Long-Range via EGFR Signal Repression

  • Nervous system development takes place after positional information has been established along the dorsal-ventral (D/V) axis. The initial subdivision provided by a gradient of nuclear dorsal protein is maintained by the zygotic genes expressed along the D/V axis. In this study, an investigation was conducted to determine the range of Dpp function in repressing the expression of eagle (eg) that is present in intermediate neuroblasts defective (ind) and muscle specific homeobox (msh) gene domain. eg is expressed in neuroblast (NB) 2-4, 3-3 and 6-4 of the msh domain, and NB7-3 of the ind domain at the embryonic stage 11. In decapentaplegic (dpp) loss-of-function mutant embryos, eg was ectopically expressed in the dorsal region, while in dpp gain-of-function mutants produced by sog or sca-GAL4/UAS-dpp, eg was repressed by Dpp. It is worthy of note that Dpp produced from sim;;dpp embryos showed that Dpp could function at long range. However, Dpp produced from en-GAL4/UAS-dpp or wg-GAL4/UAS-dpp primarily acted at short-range. This result demonstrated that this discrepancy seems to be due to the repression of Dpp to EGFR signaling in sim;;dpp embryos. Taken together, these results suggest that Dpp signaling works at short-range, but can function indirectly at long-range by way of repression of EGFR signaling during embryonic neurogenesis.

반복적인 충격하중을 받은 PC 플라스틱 재료의 변형 및 수명 평가 (Deformation and Life Evaluation of PC Plastic Materials Subjected to Repeated Impact Loads)

  • Polycarbonate (PC) materials having electrical insulation properties, are thermoplastic material and are easily processed, have excellent strength and heat resistance characteristics, and also have transparent and hard characteristics. In this study, we tried to derive the ε-N curve of strain-life, which shows the relationship between the strain characteristics and the life of the material when repeated impact loads are applied to the PC plastic material. As the impact load increased to 3.0kg, 4.0kg, 5.0kg, and 6.0kg, the strain also increased linearly to 0.033, 0.041, 0.046, and 0.055. At 3.0kg of mass impact, the test piece broke with 12000 impact cycles, 8400 times at 3.5kg, 7400 times at 4.0kg, 6600 times at 4.5kg, 4700 times at 5.0kg, 3000 times at 5.5kg, and 1000 times at 6.0kg. The number of fractures exponentially decreased as the load gradually increased. Using these results, an ε-N curve for PC plastic was derived.

17-4 PH Stainless 강의 질소침투 열처리 (A Study on the Nitrogen Permeation Treatment of 17-4 PH Stainless Steel)

  • The surface phase changes, the hardness variations, the nitrogen contents and the corrosion resistances of 17-4 PH stainless steel have been investigated after nitrogen permeation(solution nitriding) at a temperature ranges from $1050^{\circ}C$ to $1150^{\circ}C$ The phases appeared at the nitrogen-permeated surface layer were shown to martensite plus austenite and austenite, depending on the variation of nitrogen and chromium contents. And the surface hardness was also depended on the phases appeared at the surface layer from 370 Hv to 220 Hv. The precipitates exhibited at the nitrogen-permeated surface layer were niobium nitride, niobium chromium nitride and carbo-nitride in the austenite and martensite matrices. The surface nitrogen contents were followed by the Cr contents of the surface layers, representing 0.55% at the temperatures of $1050^{\circ}C$ and $1150^{\circ}C$ respectively, and 0.96% at $1100^{\circ}C$ at the distances of $60{\mu}m$ from the outmost surface. From the comparison of the corrosion resistances between nitrogen-permeated and solution-annealed steels, nitrogen permeation remarkably improved the corrosion resistance in the solution of 1 N $H_2SO_4$ due to the increase of nitrogen content in the surface austenite phase.

홍삼분말이 첨가된 약과의 품질과 저장성에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Addition of Level of Red Ginseng Powder on Yackwa Quality and During Storage)

  • The red ginseng powder was added to Yackwa dough as ratio to 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%, respectively to know effect of red ginseng powder on Yackwa quality and preservation. The expansion, color, texture and preference characters were investigated at 0,2 and 4 weeks, respectively. The peroxide and acid value were also measured. The 4% addition increased greatly expansion rate. In color test, L value lowed at addition of red ginseng powder and at long storage period. the b value lowed as the addition was increased, but a value was not affected by the addition of red ginseng powder. In mechanical texture test, addition of red ginseng powder had a tendency to show low cohessivness, springness, gumminess while hardness increased. The springness, brittleness and cohessivness decreased while hardness increased at long storage period. In sensory test, surface color, bitterness and red ginseng flavor were recognized strong by addition of red ginseng powder but oily taste, crispness, softness and overall preference were weak. The surface color and red ginseng flavor were strong at long storage period but sweetness, softness and overall preference decreased, respectively. The peroxide value increased at long storage period and decreased after 6 week. The 2% and 4% addition showed lower peroxide value compared to other treatment. The acid value increased at early storage period, but did not change after 4 weeks.

전기영동 패턴에 의한 2조보리 계통의 Esterase 동위효소 유전자형 변이분석 (Genotypic Variation of Esterase Isozyme in Breeding Lines of Two-rowed Barley by Electrophoretic Banding Pattern)

  • 맥주보리 교배모본(Crossing block) 380품종 및 계통을 공시재료로 esterase 동위효소 가운데 4개의 loci에 대한 allele의 종류, 발견빈도, 유전자형 등을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 조사한 380 계통중 Est1 locus에서는Pr, Al, Ca, Af등 4개의 alleles이 있는 것으로 관찰되었으며 그 중 Pr allele이 약 70%, Ca allele이 28.4%로 대부분을 차지하였고, Ca 및 기타 Al allele은 2% 미만이었다. 2. Est2 locus에서는 Dr, Fr, Sp, Un, null 등 5개의 allele이 있는 것으로 나타났고 allele이 84.5%로 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였고, null allele가 10%이었다. 3. Est4 locus에서는 Nz, Su, At, null 등 4개의 allele이 발견되었는데 Su allele가 약 84%로 대부분을 차지하였으며, Nz, allele가 10.5%, At allele가 4.2%의 빈도를 보였다. 4. Est5 locus에서는 Mi, Pi, Te, od(null) 등 4개의 allele이 발견되었으며 Pi allele이 61.0% Mi allele이 34.2%이었다. 5. 4개의 Esterase loci에서 나타나는 pattern을 기준으로 한 유전자형은 25가지의 유형으로 분류할 수 있었으며, G1형(Pr-Fr-Su-Mi)이 28.1%, G2형(Pr-Fr-Su-Pi)이 39.5%로 대부분을 차지하였고 다음으로 12형(Ca-Fr-Su-Pi)이 약 8.1%의 비율로 나타났다. 기타의 유전자형들은 그 발견 빈도가 극히 낮은 편이었다.

육성기 꿩의 주령별 체중과 정강이 길이의 측정치에 나타나는 부화차순과 성별의 효과 (Effects of Hatch and Sex on Body Weight and Shank Length of Growing Pheasant)

  • 육성기 꿩의 체중과 정강이 길이의 측정치에 나타나는 부화차순과 성별의 효과를 조사하고자 개체별 20주령까지 측정된 육성기 꿩에 대한 분석을 한 결과 다음과 같았다. 육성기 암꿩의 체중은 부화시, 4, 8, 12, 16 및 20주령에서 각각 17.9, 96.0, 296.4, 563.4, 709.0 및 757.4g 이었으며, 수꿩은 주령별 각각 18.3, 104.4, 349.1, 728.5, 1001.4 및 1101.6g 으로 나타났다. 부화차순의 환경효과은 일반적으로 정강이 길이보다 체중에 더 많이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 체중과 정강이 길이에 대한 성별효과는 부화시에는 없었으나(P>0.05), 그 후 사육주령이 경과할수록 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 암수에 따른 성별의 차이는 부화시를 제외하고 4, 8, 12, 16 및 20주령에서 체중과 정강이 길이 모두 유의차(P<0.05)를 보여주었고, 부화시에 차이가 없었던 체중이 20주령에서는 수꿩의 암꿩에 비해 약 344g 이나 더 무거웠다. 정강이 길이의 성장은 암수 모두 16주령까지 거의 완성되는 것으로 나타났다.

폴리프로필렌 섬유를 혼입한 레미콘의 강도 및 비파괴 시험 (Strength and Non-fracture Test of Ready Mixed Concrete Using Polypropylene Fiber)

  • This study is performed to evaluate the strength and nan-fracture test of the ready mixed concrete(RMC) using polypropylene. The slump is reached in $8{\pm}2cm$ of each RMC using polypropylene or without polypropylene, air content is reached in $4.5{\pm}1.5%$, the chloride content is below $0.3kg/m^3$. The compressive strength of RMC not using polypropylene is appeared over $210kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 7 days and $239kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 28 days. The compressive strength of RMC using polypropylene is appeared over $188kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 7 days and $238kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 28 days. The dynamic modulus of elasticity of RMC not using polypropylene is appeared over $298{\times}10^3kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 7 days and $342{\times}10^3kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 28 days. The RMC using polypropylene is appeared over $284{\times}10^3kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 7 days and $238{\times}10^3kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 28 days. The pulse velocity of RMC not using polypropylene is appeared over 4,198m/s at the curing age 7 days and 4,382m/s at the curing age 28 days. The RMC using polypropylene is appeared over 4,182m/s at the curing age 7 days and 4,342m/s at the curing age 28 days.

창원시 초등학교 아동의 영구치우식증실태 (Dental Caries Status on Permanent Teeth among Primary School Children in Changwon, Korea)

  • In order to develop the programme for the improvement of dental health among primary school children, epidemiological survey to examine dental caries status was conducted among primary school children in Changwon, Korea. We sampled 2 primary schools and surveyed children from first to sixth grade aged 6-11 years. All samples were 3,206 consisted of 1,715 males and 1,491 females. We assessed caries prevalence on permanent teeth. 1. Children with caries experience on permanent teeth were 15.1% at 1st grade, 48.2% at 2nd grade, 73.8% at 3rd grade, 75.6% at 4th grade, 76.8% at 5th grade, 77.4% at 6th grade. 2. Decayed, Missing and Filled teeth were 0.31 at 1st grade, 1.16 at 2nd grade, 2.12 at 3rd grade, 2.38 at 4th grade, 2.50 at 5th grade, 2.69 at 6th grade. 3. Decayed teeth among Decayed, Missing and Filled teeth were totally 63.4%. Filled teeth among Decayed, Missing and Filled teeth were totally 36.6%. 4. Community dental health programmmes including water fluoridation, fluoride mouth rinsing, use of fluoride-containing toothpastes and fissure sealants should be developed to prevent dental caries among school children. 5. School incremental dental care programme should be also developed to prevent and treat children's dental caries by use of dentists and oral hygienists.

몰리브덴(V) 착물의 합성 및 특성에 관한 연구 (Synthesis and Characterization of Molybdeum(V) Complexes)

  • The Mo(V) $di-{\mu}-oxo$ type [$Mo_{2}O_{4}(H_{2}O)_{2}L_{2}$] $SO_{4}$ complexes(L: 2,2'-dipyridyl,4,4'-ethylenedianlline) have been prepared by the reaction of $[Mo_{2}O_{4}(H_{2}O)_{6}]SO_{4}$ with a series of chelate ligands. These complexes are completed by two terminal oxygens arranged trans to one another and each ligand forms a chelate types. In $Mo_{2}O_{4}(H_{2}O)_{2}L_{2}$, two $H_{2}O$ coordinated at trans site of terminal oxygens. The prepared complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra, $^{1}H$ nuclear magnetic resonance spectra, and thermal analysis(TG-DTA). In the potential range -0.00V to -1.00V at a scan rate of $50mVs^{-1}$, a cathodic peak at -0.81V ${\sim}$ -0.87V (vs SCE) and an anodic peak at -0.61V ${\sim}$ -0.63V (vs SCE) have been observed in aquous solution. We infer these redox are irreversible reaction.
