추력기 제어를 위한 PWPF 설계변수 설계 (PWPF Parameters Design for Thruster Control)

  • 일반적으로 추력기는 on/off 제어 방식을 이용한다. Bang-Bang Control, PWM(Pulse Width Modulator), PWPF(Pulse Width Pulse Frequency) 등이 그 방법으로 많이 이용되고 있다. PWPF를 설계할 때 파라미터($K_m$, ${\tau}$, $U_{on}$, $U_{off}$, $U_m$)를 잘못 선정하면 위상 지연, 연료 낭비, 수명 감소 등이 발생한다. 그러므로 파라미터가 시스템 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 적절한 파라미터를 선정하여야 한다. 본 논문은 정적 해석을 수행하여 PWPF 파라미터 설계방안을 제시하였으며, 동적 분석 및 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 설계변수에 미치는 상호 영향을 분석하였다.

Mobile RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) 용 안테나 계 (Design of mobile Radio Frequency Identification (m-RFID) antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 휴대용 단말기 적용이 가능한 mobile Radio Frequency Identification (m-RFID) system 을 위한 안테나의 설계 방법을 제안했다. 전기계 안테나와 자기계 안테나의 결합을 통하여 안테나의 휴대 단말 장착시 m-RFID 적용 방향으로 안테나의 패턴이 지향성의 특징을 나타낸다. 전기계 안테나는 PIFA 구조의 안테나를 사용하였으며, 자기계 안테나는 loop 형 안테나를 구현하였다. 목표 주파수 대역은 900 MHz 대역이며, 목표 이득은 4dBi 이상으로 설계 되었다. Ansoft 사의 HFSS 를 사용하여 시뮬레이션하였으며, 목표치 이상의 결과를 보였다. 제작된 안테나는 FR4 epoxy 기판 (h=1 mm, $\varepsilon_{\tau}=4.4$) 을 사용하여 제작되었으며, 시뮬레이션과 유사한 결과를 보였다.

비선형수열의 상호상관함수 분석 (Analysis of cross-correlation functions of non-linear sequences)

  • 최대주기를 갖는 수열들의 상호상관함수에 대한 연구는 수십년간 이루어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 n=2m을 만족하고 최대주기 $2^n-1$을 가지면서 Niho type의 데시메이션 $d=2^{m-2}(2^m+3)$에 대하여 비선형수열$S_a^r(t)=Tr_1^m\{[Tr_m^n(a{\alpha}^t+{\alpha}^{dt})]^r\}$의 상호상관함수 값을 구한다. 특히, $d{\equiv}1(mod\;2^m-1)$을 만족하는 d를 Niho type의 데시메이션 이라고 한다. 그리고 위상이동차 ${\tau}=(2^m+1)k(0{\leq}k{\leq}2^m-2)$인 경우에 대하여 $S_a^r(t)$의 상호상관함수 값의 분포를 분석하고 실험 결과를 제시한다.

Magnetization and Intrinsic Coercivity for τ-phase Mn54Al46/α-phase Fe65Co35 Composite

  • We have synthesized ferromagnetic ${\tau}$-phase $Mn_{54}Al_{46}/{\alpha}$-phase $Fe_{65}Co_{35}$ composite by annealing a mixture of paramagnetic ${\varepsilon}$-phase $Mn_{54}Al_{46}$ and ferromagnetic ${\alpha}$-phase $Fe_{65}Co_{35}$ particles at $650^{\circ}C$. The volume fraction ($f_h$) of hard ${\tau}$-phase $Mn_{54}Al_{46}$ of the composite was varied from 0 to 1. During the annealing, magnetic phase transformation occurred from paramagnetic ${\varepsilon}$-phase to ferromagnetic ${\tau}$-phase $Mn_{54}Al_{46}$. The magnetization and coercivity of the composite monotonically decreased and increased, respectively, as the $f_h$ increased. These results are in good agreement with our proposed composition dependent coercivity and modified magnetization equations.

  • Interferon-tau (IFN-τ) is the primary agent responsible for maternal recognition of pregnancy in cattle. Bovine embryos begine to express IFN-τ as the blastocyst forms. Pregnancy recognition in ruminants occurs when IFN-τ from the trophoblast prevents the increase of oxytocin receptors, disrupting luteolytic pulses of prostaglandin (PG) F2a by oxytocin. The expression of IFN-τ is strongly associated with the degree of methylation of the CpG islands in promoter region. (omitted)

Protective Effect of Rice Bran Oil against β-Amyloid Protein-Induced Memory Impairment and Neuronal Death in Mice

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the protective effect of rice bran oil (RBO) on amyloid β protein (Aβ) (25-35)-induced memory impairment and brain damage in an ICR mouse model. Memory impairment was produced by intracerebroventricular microinjection of 15 nmol Aβ (25-35) and assessed using the passive avoidance test. Treatment with RBO at 0.1, 0.5, or 1 mL/kg (p.o. daily for 8 days) protected against Aβ (25-35)-induced memory impairment. Furthermore, Aβ (25-35)-induced decreases in glutathione and increases in lipid peroxidation and cholinesterase activity in brain tissue were inhibited by RBO, and Aβ (25-35)-induced increases of phosphorylated mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) and inflammatory factors, and changes in the levels of apoptosis-related proteins were significantly inhibited by RBO. Furthermore, Aβ (25-35) suppressed the PI3K/Akt pathway and the phosphorylation of CREB, but increased phosphorylation of tau (p-tau) in mice brain; these effects were significantly inhibited by administration of RBO. These results suggest that RBO inhibits Aβ (25-35)-induced memory impairment by inducing anti-apoptotic and anti-inflammatory effects, promoting PI3K/Akt/CREB signaling, and thus, inhibiting p-tau formation.

대기 중에서 가스상 유기염소계 살충제의 반감기 (Half lives of Gaseous Organochlorine Pesticides in Atmosphere)

  • Gaseous organochlorine pesticides (OCPs : heptachlor epoxide, p, p'-DDE, ${\gamma}-HCH,\;{\alpha}-chlordane,\;{\gamma}-chlordane$ and trans-nonachlor) concentration was measured using PUF high volume sampler from June, 2000 to June, 2002 in the semi-rural atmosphere. The OCPs concentration in atmosphere, which is estimated by the slope (m) of Clausius-Clapeyron equation and phase-transition energy $({\Delta}H)$, was influenced by revolatilization from environmental matrix (soil, water and tree leaves) and a long range transportation of air mass. But the former affected OCPs concentration more than the latter. The degradation rate constants (k) of OCPs calculated using multiple regression analysis and revised standard temperature method were in good agreement each other. The value of k of ${\gamma}-HCH$ was very low as -0.0007, but the range of k of other components were $-0.00l8{\sim}-0.0038$. The half-life $({\tau})$ which was calculated by k of ${\gamma}-HCH$ was 2.6 years-the longest one, but that of heptachlor epoxide was in 0.5 year-the shortest one. $({\tau})\;of\;{\alpha}-chlordane,\;{\gamma}-chlordane$ and trans-nonachlor in technical chlordane was 1.0, 1.1 and 0.7 year respectively.

  • The peri-implantation period in mammals is critical with respect to survival of the conceptus (embryo/fetus and associated extraembryonic membranes) and establishment of pregnancy. During this period of pregnancy, reciprocal communication between ovary, conceptus, and endometrium is required for successful implantation and placentation. At this time, interferon tau (IFNT) is synthesized and secreted by the mononuclear trophectodermal cells of the conceptus between days 10 and 21~25. The actions of IFNT to signal pregnancy recognition and induce or increase expression of IFNT-stimulated genes (ISGs), such as ISG15 and OAS, are mediated by the Type I IFN signal transduction pathway. This article reviews the history, signaling pathways of IFNT and the uterine expression of several IFNT-stimulated genes during the peri-implantation period. Collectively, these newly identified genes are believed to be critical to unraveling the mechanism(s) of reciprocal fetal-maternal interactions required for successful implantation and pregnancy.

Determination of Correlation Times of New Paramagnetic Gadolinium MR Contrast Agents by EPR and 17O NMR

  • The work describes EPR and 17O NMR measurements followed by theoretical calculation of the rotational correlation time $({\tau}_R)$, the water residence time $({\tau}_m)$, and the longitudinal electronic spin relaxation time $(T_{le})$(T_1e) for two new gadolinium complexes 1 and 2 of the type [$Gd(L)(H_2O)$] (L = tranexamic esters) in order to investigate their efficiency as a paramagnetic contrast agent (PCA). Of three correlation times, τR plays a major and predominant role to the unusually high relaxivity of 1 and 2 as compared with that of clinically approved MR CAs such as [$Gd(DTPA)(H_2O)]2‐ (Magnevist${\circledR}$), [Gd(DTPA-BMA)(H2O)] (Omniscan${\circledR}$), and $[Gd(DOTA)(H_2O)]^-$ (Dotarem${\circledR}$). The presence of bulky tranexamic ester in the ligand seems to be responsible for the conformational rigidity, which in turn causes such great an increase in ${\tau}_R$.

인산 에스테르 반응 셀룰로오스 미립자의 활성화가 비수계 ER 유체의 전기유변학적 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Activation of Phosphoric Ester Cellulose Particles on the Electrotheological Properties of Anhydrous ER Fluids)

  • The electrorheological (ER) behavior of suspensions in silicone oil of phosphoric ester cellulose powder (average particle size: 17.77 $\mu$m) was investigated at room temperature with electric fields up to 2.5 KV/mm. For development of anhydrous ER suspensions using at wide temperature range, we aimed to know the effect of activation of phosphoric ester cellulose particles on the ER activities. As a first step, the anhydrous ER suspensions mixing with the phosphoric ester cellulose particles which were treated with 2M phosporic acid and 4M urea were measured. After activating the anhydrous ER suspensions at 12$0^{\circ}C$, not only the analysis of dispersing cellulose particles which were reacted by phosphoric ester but also the electrorheological characteristics of ER suspensions such as dielectric constant, current density, electrical conductivity and rheological properties were studied. From the experimental results, the activation of phosphoric ester cellulose particles had an influence on the ER properties of anhydrous ER suspensions. As the activation time went by, the size and number of dispersing particles, the electrical properties and the initial apparent viscosity $(η_0)$ of ER suspensions were increased till the activation time passed 5 hours. Also, it was possible, the electrorheological effect $($\tau$/$\tau$_0)$ of ER fluids was grown by the activation of phosphoric ester cellulose particles.
