Purpose - The purpose of this study is to take fitness APP users as the research object from the perspective of user experience to explore the influence of fitness APP user experience factors on product trust and purchase intention. Design/methodology/approach - The study collected data on 275 customers who had experience buying and using fitness apps. To test the hypothesis, SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 26.0 statistical packages were used based on the collected data. Findings - The results showed that the user experience factors (usefulness, ease to use, enjoyment, interaction) of fitness APP and the relationship between product trust had a positive effect, and product trust had a positive effect on purchase intention. In addition, exercise experience, showed a moderating effect in the relationship between the usefulness, easy to use of user experience and product trust. Research implications or Originality - This study provided research model among user experience factors of fitness APP, product trust and purchase intention. This study can help sports and fitness companies with product optimization and marketing decisions.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine whether a psychological concept enhances healthcare users' service experience. Specifically, the study proposes and empirically examines a model of perceived control in which the user's sense of control is postulated as exerting positive influences upon his/her motivation, self-efficacy associated with his/her role as a patient, and satisfaction with his/her medical service experience. Methodology - Data were collected by a professional research company, using an online survey method. Participants of the study included adults nineteen years or older who had visited a medical service institute at least once during the previous one-year period. For the test of the research hypotheses, structural equation modeling using AMOS was used. Findings - Findings of this study denote a unique insight into the users' comprehension of medical service experiences and their behaviors. First, the concept of perceived control is identified as a factor that enhances the quality of individuals' medical service experiences. A sense of control directly influences medical users' self-efficacy to comply with doctor's recommendations, their motivation to comply with doctor's recommendations, and their satisfaction with the medical service experience. Second, one's perceived self-efficacy is found to exert positive influences upon both motivation and satisfaction. Third, one's motivation to comply with the doctor's recommendation is found to exert a positive influence upon one's satisfaction. Additionally, perceived control is found to exert an indirect influence upon medical service users' satisfaction through the mediation of both self-efficacy and motivation. Research Implications - The findings of the study support the notion that perception of control among medial service users enhances their service experience as patients. The main thrust of this study suggests that it is necessary for healthcare practitioners to consider implementing service encounter strategies that purposefully enhance the sense of control among their patients. The identification of significant inter-relationships among perceived control, motivation, self-efficacy, and satisfaction among medical service customers should also serve as a meaningful seed for further research pursuits.

Purpose - This study aims to conceptualize the construct of social media (SM) fatigue. Design/methodology/approach - A qualitative approach is employed to understand how SM users currently perceive (or interpret) the goals of SM usage and to conceptualize SM fatigue and its dimensions. We collected data through in-depth interviews of three SM users and group discussions among eighty SM users. Findings - we draw a definition of SM fatigue from a resource view that excessive SM use might lead to SM fatigue by depleting the internal resources of SM users. Further, through the analysis of the qualitative data from interviews and group discussions, we find the multi-dimensional nature of SM fatigue and identify five dimensions of SM fatigue-fatigue from the social obligation to interact with people, the importance of self-appearance, the quality of information, the quantity of information, and undesirable events-and common sources of fatigue in each dimension. Research implications or Originality - The conceptualization of SM fatigue elaborated in this study could enable scientific exploration of the role of SM fatigue in users' attitudes or behavior formation and change. On a practical front, this study would be valuable to companies by facilitating systematic investigations of their customers' fatigue through the lens of the SM fatigue dimensions.

Purpose - We investigate how firms transfer financial risks to employees in a form of flexible employment contracts and layoffs. Design/methodology/approach - Based on the literature on the prevalence of shareholder value ideology and the associated 'risk shift', we examined how stock price volatility is associated with a firm's use and hiring of nonstandard employees, and the number of employees lay-offed. We test our hypotheses using a longitudinal, multi-source, dataset of Korean firms from 2003 to 2011. Findings - We found support for the relationship between stock price volatility and flexible employment contracts and layoffs after controlling for actual risks such as increased debt or decreased sales. However, we found that the relationship is moderated by the power of professional CEOs relative to that of shareholders, in that powerful CEOs are more likely to transfer the external risks, i.e. stock price volatility, to employees. Research implications or Originality - This study contributes the emerging stream of literature that explore the effect of stock market pressures and governance structures on human resource management. -
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate present and future value. Design/methodology/approach - This paper intends to prove the relationship between CSR and corporate value once again by selecting A-share companies listed on the China Shenzhen Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange from 2010 2017. This paper also examines the effect of five dimensions of CSR on corporate value in China. Findings - Empirical evidence shows that CSR is conducive to corporate value. The fulfillment of social responsibilities improves firm value in the future. Further, the regression results show that the social responsibility of the non-state-owned enterprise (Non-SOEs) group has a more significant effect on corporate financial performance than on the state-owned enterprise (SOEs) group. Research implications or Originality - This study has limitations. First, the grouping is only divided into two groups of SOEs and non-SOEs, and we did not consider foreign investments, that is, foreign-funded enterprises, for the comparative analysis. Second, only the linear relationship between CSR and corporate value was tested. In the future, we must determine whether there exists a nonlinear relationship between the two key concepts. Finally, there exists no research on CSR and corporate value by specific industries. Thus, the relationship between the five dimensions of CSR and corporate value should be investigated by specific industries.

Purpose - Export marketers may have incentives to attempt real earnings management to avoid low reported earnings. Therefore, we attempted to verify the relationship between cost stickiness and real earnings management in the context of export marketing. Design/methodology/approach - Data were collected from exporters that settle-accounts in December excluding financial businesses listed on the stock market from 2015 to 2019. Multiple regression analysis were employed to analyze the data. Findings - The results showed that there is a negative relationship between cost stickiness and real earnings management. In addition, the results showed that export marketers little attempt to offset the cost inefficiency caused by the increase in expense because of cost stickiness with opportunistic management activities through real earnings management. Rather, as the level of real earnings management appears lower, exporters showing cost stickiness are expected to report management performance based on actual marketing. Furthermore, exporters with a high level of managerial centrality or high managerial overconfidence little attempt to offset cost inefficiency caused by cost stickiness with real earnings management activities. Research implications or Originality - Our study is the first to investigate the quality of earnings information of exporters with cost stickiness. Based on the results, we suggested efficient marketing strategies for exporters.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to expound the packaging framework system(PFS) under international trade rules. Design/methodology/approach - This study analyzed packaging framework system and packaging regulations and technical standards in international regulations and major countries and classified these in some standards Findings - First, the study provides packaging provisions associated with packaging regulations and technical standards (PRTS). Then, the basis of PFS in international trade rules was proposed; it is believed that the PFS was composed of packaging legal system in WTO institutional framework (WTO-PLS), international organization packaging standard system (IO-PSS) and major countries or regions packaging regulatory system (MCR-PRS). Secondly, this paper expounded relations and legal characteristics of the three packaging systems. Finally, This study investigated PRTS coverage under technical barriers to trade (TBT) and Sanitary and Phytosanitary measures (SPS). Research implications or Originality - The regulations associated with PRTS have played a key role in challenges to merchandise trade in international trade. This study has significance in classifying packaging related reticulations into several criteria unlike previous studies. Therefore it is hope that this study can provide a supplementary document for the existing research of PRTS.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine how a broad palette of government support measures and firms' membership in government-developed clusters are related to firms' openness in innovation processes. Design/methodology/approach - Empirically, this study analyzes the Korea Innovation Survey 2018 data on the innovation activities of 1,450 Korean R&D-active manufacturing firms in a three-year period from 2015 through 2017. Findings - The results suggest that firms engage in open innovation to a greater extent--as measured by the breadth of external collaborating partners and of the utilized external sources of knowledge--when they are provided with a broader palette of government support measures and are located in government-developed clusters. However, the effect of diverse government support measures is attenuated for firms located in these clusters. Research implications or Originality - This study contributes to the innovation literature by illuminating how firms' open innovation can be understood in a national innovation system. Moreover, it provides valuable implications for firms seeking to obtain government support and collaborate with others.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to understand the motivating factors of Chinese audience who watch the interactive drama, and suggest the effects of audience' motivation on viewing flow, satisfaction, and loyalty. Design/methodology/approach - To achieve the purpose of the study, a questionnaire survey on the Internet was conducted from September 26, 2021 to October 14, 2021, and data from 332 Chinese respondents were collected. Findings - Findings of this study are 1) audience motivation of watching the interactive drama is composed of 6 factors including the pursuit of entertainment and information, curiosity, interaction, sense of control and indirect experience; 2) the pursuit of entertainment and information, interaction and indirect experience have positive effects on viewing flow; 3) all six factors of audience motivation have positive effects on audience satisfaction; 4) four motivating factors including the pursuit of entertainment, curiosity, interaction and indirect experience have positive effects on audience loyalty. 5) viewing flow and audience satisfaction respectively has some partial mediating effects on the relationship between audience motivation and audience loyalty. Research implications or Originality - Results of this study suggest that in order to increase audience loyalty to interactive dramas, in addition to fulfilling the pursuit of entertainment, which is the basic motive for watching any drama, it is important to fulfill motivating factors related to the unique characteristics of interactive dramas such as curiosity, interaction, and indirect experience. In order for these motivating factors to lead to audience loyalty, it is more effective when viewing flow and audience satisfaction are accompanied.

Purpose - The main purpose of this study is to test two competing hypotheses on the relationship between foreignness and corporate philanthropy drawing on the resource dependence theory. Design/methodology/approach - This study used Korean Enterprsie Survey data constructed by Korean Statistical Information Service. This study employed both OLS and Tobit models to test the hypotheses. Findings - A conventional wisdom can argue that MNC subsidiaries are more willing to give charitable donations than local firms do because they may perceive philanthropy in the host country is a good opportunity to reduce liabilities of foreignness (H1-1). On the other hand, one can argue that MNC subsidiaries are less willing to give charitable donations than local firms do because they have operational flexibility when they are coerced to engage in corporate philanthropy by host country government stakeholders (H1-2). Empirical results support the prediction that MNC subsidiaries are less likely to give charitable donations than local firms do in Korea. Research implications or Originality - Our findings can provide useful insights to researchers and managers in the sense that MNC managers can increase or decrease their charitable donations depending on the institutional contingencies in different host countries. These institutional contingencies are particularly important within a transforming context such as Korea.

Purpose - The main purpose of this study is to widely investigate the impact of recent pandemic crises on the synchronization of the world capital markets through 25 stock indices from major developed countries. Design/methodology/approach - This study collects 25 stock indices from major developed countries and the time period is between January 5, 2001 and February 24, 2022. The data sets used in the study include finance.yahoo.com and Investing.com.. The Granger causality analysis, unit-root test, VAR analysis, and forecasting error variance decomposition were hired in order to analyze the data. Findings - First, there are significant inter-relations among 25 countries around recent major pandemic crises(such as SARS, A(H1N1), MERS, and COVID19), which is consistent result with previous literature. Second, COVID19 shows much stronger impact on the world-wide synchronization than other pandemics. Third, the return volatility of each stock market varies, unit root tests show that daily stock index data are unstable while daily stock index returns are stable, and VAR(Vector Auto Regression) analyses presents significant inter-relations among 25 capital markets. Fourth, from the impulse response function analyses, we find that each market affects the other markets for short term periods, about 2~4 days, and no long term effect was not found. Fifth, Granger causality tests show one-side or two-sides synchronization between capital markets and we estimate, through forecasting error variance decomposition method, that the explanatory portions of each capital market on other markets vary from 10 to 80%. Research implications or Originality - The above results all together show that pandemic crises have strong effects on the synchronization of world capital markets and imply that these synchronizations should be carefully considered both in the investment decisions by individual investors and in the financial and economic policies by governments.

Purpose - The domestic technology trading market is composed of a technology trading platform with the participation of technology trading institutions. The institution that operates the technology trading platform provides various support for technology transaction. The purpose of this study is to suggest improvement plans through analysis of the services provided by the technology trading platform. Design/methodology/approach - TA model was built based on existing research and the importance and satisfaction of each evaluation item of the model were identified through the hierarchical analysis process and expert opinion gathering. Then importance-satisfaction correlation analysis was applied. Findings - As a result of analyzing the importance of the technology trading platform, supply technology information, technology value evaluation, and demand technology information are in order. Technology marketing and demand technology information are areas that require focus management and there are differences according to experience and low-skilled people suggest the need to improve technology value evaluation service. Research implications or Originality - This study is significant in that it evaluated the operational performance of a technology trading platform that had not been addressed for 15 years and suggested improvement measures. Initially a series of technology transaction processes such as technology value evaluation technology matching and technology commercialization support were expanded from simple information on previous technology and this study includes these changes.

Purpose - This study surveyed real estate financial consumers and financial company staff regarding the components of the financial consumer protection system to seek detailed improvement plans for the Financial Consumer Protection Act. Design/methodology/approach - The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique is applied. Findings - Both consumers and staff highly evaluated the importance of the preventive measures in the main classification factors. Regarding the sub-classification factors of preventive measures, consumers emphasized the responsible management of investment staff and financial institutions; however, the staff stressed the principle of effectiveness and efficiency. Regarding the elements of ex-post remedies, consumers answered that fast remedy would have a significant effect. At the same time, staff believed that punitive measures hinder free trading and investment activities. Regarding the sub-sub classification factors of prevention measures, the consumers value responsible management of staff and financial companies, while the staff tend to prefer the importance of the self-regulatory governance. Research implications or Originality - Based on the above results, financial regulatory authorities should find a balance between preventive and ex-post components once focusing on preventative measures. Our paper is one of the first research findings in this field of financial consumer protection system in Korea.

Purpose - Studies have been continuously carried out by researchers so far to clarify the factors influencing employee's incivility at work. However, the behavior of employees who are the target of incivility not much has been revealed which behavior affects the experience of incivility. Among them, it is interesting that the effect of OCB, a representative of employees' positive behavior in the workplace, on their experienced incivility has not been investigated. Therefore, this study attempted to clarify the relationship between OCB and experienced incivility that previous studies have not yet discovered. Design/methodology/approach - In the process, the concept of profile similarity was introduced and based on this, it was assumed that the OCB profile similarity between individual and colleagues, not the absolute level of OCB, would affect the experienced incivility and demonstrated this. The analysis was conducted by applying the survey data obtained from 205 employees to hierarchical regression analysis. Findings - As a result of the analysis, it was examined that the absolute OCB value used in previous studies did not significantly affect the experienced incivility, but the higher the similarity level, the less experienced incivility. The implications obtained based on this and future research directions are discussed together in the conclusion. Research implications or Originality - This study is the first one that considers OCB's profile similarity as a antecedent of experienced incivility. OCB profile similarity concept was only treated as a theoretical issue even in very early stage of OCB research stream, but this study examines the significant effect of OCB profile similarity. Moreover, behavioral antecedents of experienced incivility has not been identified well, but this study finds out that OCB can be a behavioral antecedent of experienced incivility.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of regulatory focus on proactive behavior and to examine the mediating effect of work hope between superior's regulatory focus and subordinate's proactive behavior. In addition, the purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effect of interpersonal justice between regulatory focus and work hope, and the moderated mediating effect of work hope and interpersonal justice in the relationship between regulatory focus and proactive behavior. Design/methodology/approach - This study used data 255pairs(510people) collected from Public organizations such as gu office and private organizations that perform various tasks such as human resources, finance, accounting, marketing, and R&D. The Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and the multiple regression analysis were used in order to analyze the data. Findings - The result showed that promotion focus was positively related to proactive behavior. In addition, this study found that the relationship between promotion focus and proactive behavior was mediated by work hope. Regarding the moderating roles of perceived interpersonal justice, the results showed that perceived interpersonal justice significantly interacted with promotion focus in influencing work hope. Finally, the moderated mediation analysis showed that the indirect effect of promotion focus on proactive behavior through work hope was valid only for subordinates with high perceived interpersonal justice. Research implications or Originality - In order to increase proactive behavior, it is necessary to focus on promotion focus and to increase the positive psychology such as hope. In addition, it is necessary to increase perception of interpersonal justice.

Purpose - We study whether the bullwhip effect is prevalent among Korean firms and how the characteristics of it differ from the ones in other countries. Design/methodology/approach - We obtained quarterly financial and operational information on KOSPI-listed firms in manufacturing, wholesale, and retail industries from 2013 to 2019. We explore the variation of the bullwhip effect across firms and validate hypotheses. Findings - First, we find that for the KOSPI-listed firms, the bullwhip effect is more prevalent compared with the production smoothing. We provide additional findings by using sub-samples of manufacturing firms, wholesaling and retailing firms, big-sized firms, small- and medium-sized firms, domestic-sales intensive firms, and export intensive firms. Second, we show that in general, the bullwhip effect of Korean firms increases with the days in inventory or the demand seasonality ratio. However, the persistence of demand shock does not affect the bullwhip effect of Korean firms. Research implications or Originality - We compare our results with those in other studies that use information on the U.S. and Chinese firms. Our findings show that factors explaining the bullwhip effect across Korean firms have similarities and differences compared with firms in the U.S. and Chinese firms.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of predicting the degree of smartphone overdependence based on mobile phone usage patterns. Design/methodology/approach - In this study, a survey conducted by Korea Internet and Security Agency(KISA) called "problematic smartphone use survey" was analyzed. The survey consists of 180 questions, and data were collected from 29,712 participants. Based on the data on the smartphone usage pattern obtained through the questionnaire, the smartphone addiction level was predicted using machine learning techniques. k-NN, gradient boosting, XGBoost, CatBoost, AdaBoost and random forest algorithms were employed. Findings - First, while various factors together influence the smartphone overdependence level, the results show that all machine learning techniques perform well to predict the smartphone overdependence level. Especially, we focus on the features which can be obtained from the smartphone log data (without psychological factors). It means that our results can be a basis for diagnostic programs to detect problematic smartphone use. Second, the results show that information on users' age, marriage and smartphone usage patterns can be used as predictors to determine whether users are addicted to smartphones. Other demographic characteristics such as sex or region did not appear to significantly affect smartphone overdependence levels. Research implications or Originality - While there are some studies that predict smartphone overdependence level using machine learning techniques, but the studies only present algorithm performance based on survey data. In this study, based on the information gain measure, questions that have more influence on the smartphone overdependence level are presented, and the performance of algorithms according to the questions is compared. Through the results of this study, it is shown that smartphone overdependence level can be predicted with less information if questions about smartphone use are given appropriately.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between firm's non financial performance and its shareholder return by analyzing PCA while focusing on the classifying all the variables into three categories such as financial, characteristics, and non financial factors of the firms. Design/methodology/approach - By exploring the pattern of self tender from the 801 firms in KOSPI while focusing on the objective of stock disposal, this paper analyzes the change of shareholder return of the firm. Findings - First, the higher major ownership, the lower self tender gets, whereby the higher ownership by foreigners, the ratio of self tender is higher. Secondly, cash dividend has not significant impact on the disposal of self stock, and the high ratio of ownership by foreigners leads to the high probability of retirement rather than the general disposal. In contrast, the major ownership has a negative impact on the general disposal as well as retirement. Thirdly, the score of non financial factors such as Environment(E), Social responsibility(S), and Governance(G) shows the high value in case of the firms with self tender. More specifically, the firms with retirement has the highest value of ESG while it has the lowest value in case of the firms with general disposal. Research implications or Originality - The retirement which means the active shareholder return is strongly affected by the non financial factors. Specifically, the probability of retirement increases in case of the firms with retirement, and even such a tendency is found to the case of the firms with general disposal.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to investigate consistency in estimating the number of vacant jobs using the two business labor force survey with two different time points of survey. Design/methodology/approach - We studied the cause of the differences in estimating the number of vacant jobs between the monthly sample and the new sample in business labor force survey. Findings - To summarize our findings, As the size of the company increases, the number of vacant jobs in the company also increases, and the probability that the number of vacant jobs in the company is zero decreases. The monthly sample was assessed to have a higher likelihood that the number of vacant jobs in the company was zero and the number of vacant jobs was considerable compared to the local sample. Research implications or Originality - Because local survey sample companies tend to minimize the number of vacant jobs even when they reply under the same conditions, the estimation result of the number of vacant jobs in the current monthly survey differs significantly from the estimation result of the local survey. Divergent "degrees of knowledge of question items," survey methodologies, or investigators could be the causes of the various response trends.

We analyze the regional ripple effects of both the sale prices and cheonsei prices using the global VAR(GVAR) model. The interest rate shock causes the regional sale prices to fall. Moreover, the greatest responses to the shock are those of Gangnam-gu, etc. because of there were many transactions for investment purpose. When interest rate rose, the cheonsei price in Gangnam-gu reacted greatly. Conversely, if interest rates fall, the cheonsei demand to live in Gangnam-gu increases. Furthermore, the response of sale price to the interest rate shock are greater than those of the cheonsei prices. Whereas, a positive shock on the sale price in Gangnam-gu increases the sale price there. It also raises the sale prices of the surrounding area in a similar pattern. The shock on the sale price in Gangnam-gu also increases the cheonsei price in Gangnam-gu. In addition, an increase in the sale price in Gangnam-gu leads to increases of cheonsei prices in other regions. Therefore, the recent rise of the base rate can negatively affect the sale prices, and thus a decrease in the sale price spreads to the surrounding areas. Accordingly, it is time for policy alternatives to make a soft landing in sale prices.

Purpose - This paper analyzes the student determinants of college non-completion and estimates the effects of each determinant on college non-completion. Design/methodology/approach - We use student panel data from a large Korean university from 2011 to 2021. Our results are from estimation of fixed-effects logit model. Findings - The results show that grade point average, participation in extracurricular activities, the number of counseling sessions with teachers, and financial aid are the main determinants of college non-completion. Academic probation, which is defined as any person who has a cumulative grade point average below a one point seven five, increases the non-completion rate by 2.6 percentage points and an one-point rise in extracurricular activities index reduces the rate by 0.1 percentage points. The effects of each determinant are heterogeneous across student sub-groups which are separated by gender, nationality, and academic discipline. Research implications or Originality - Tailored support programs for academically discouraged students that incorporate student characteristics and backgrounds are necessary to increase college completion rates and degree attainment.

Purpose - The food delivery mobile application market is growing rapidly in the catering service industry. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of E-service quality on consumer attitudes and satisfaction in the food delivery service field in China. Design/methodology/approach - A total of 390 copies of this questionnaire were distributed between February 17 and March 25, 2021 on the Chinese survey site (https://www.wjx.cn). Three hundred forty-nine parts were used for the final analysis. Validity and reliability were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 statistical program, and correlation and regression analysis were performed. Findings - The study results showed among the e-service quality components of food delivery application software, trust, convenience, proximity and reactivity have an impact on consumer attitudes. Research implications or Originality - The service quality of food application software is an important factor determining consumer attitude. The limitations of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

Purpose - This study empirically analyzes the effects of food delivery service use frequency and the proportion of single-person households on the generation of MSW (Municipal Solid Waste). Additionally, the study analyzes MSW increase during the COVID-19 period. Design/methodology/approach - The study uses annual information on MSW and related characteristics of 228 Si, Gun, and Gu, which are administrative districts of Korea, from 2015 to 2020. Panel fixed effect model is employed for estimations. Findings - The study finds that food delivery and single-person household have significant effects only on recyclable and standard garbage bag MSW, respectively, not on all produce types of MSW. Additionally, it is estimated that, during the COVID-19 period, the increasing effect of food delivery is intensified while single-person households diminish its increasing effect. Lastly, the study confirms that the marginal effect on the increasing effect of MSW generation by the number of household members. Research implications or Originality - The estimated results are expected to provide useful information for the related policies. In particular, it is necessary to focus more on recyclable MSW concerning the developing delivery culture, and regarding changes in the family structure, focus more on the number of household members than single-person households.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship between residents' positive and negative perceptions on tourism impact, attitudes and support for tourism development. It was also investigate the moderating effects of gender and residence status of local residents among the relationships. Design/methodology/approach - The survey conducted for residents of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. A total of 520 samples were employed for the final analysis, and the collected data were performed using SPSS and AMOS. Findings - It was found that the residents' positive and negative perceptions on tourism impact had significant effects on the attitudes and support for tourism development. In addition, the gender and residence status of local residents showed a partial moderating effect among the relationships. Research implications - The theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

Purpose - The purpose of current study is to investigate the determinants of quality of life in Chungbuk province using Korean longitudinal study aging data. Design/methodology/approach - This study used quality of life and perceived healthiness as the dependent variables. This study selected perceived healthiness, economic participation, annual travel frequency, religion, and fellowship as the independent variables to account for quality of life. For the data analysis, this study implemented econometric analysis, which includes ordinary least square, one-way fixed effect, and feasible generalized least square. Findings - Perceived healthiness positively affected quality of life. Also, quality of life is positively influenced by economic participation and annual travel frequency. However, religion and fellowship appeared as non-significant attribute to account for quality of life. The results also present that perceived healthiness is positively influenced by economic participation, annual travel frequency, and fellowship. Research implications or Originality - Given the results, this offers the implication for the senior citizen welfare policy. This study also produced policy implication for local community.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze users' continuous use intentions using the characteristics of live commerce in China. Design/methodology/approach - Social presence, influence of information source (Wang Hong), convenience, marketability, reliability, personal innovativeness, and social influence were selected as elements that affect the perceived value of users, and an assumption that perceived value would affect continuous use intention was set. 515 samples were obtained from Chinese consumers through a Chinese online questionaire survey. IBM SPSS 26 and AMOS was used for statistical testing. Findings - First, social presence, Wang Hong, convenience, marketability, and reliability, which are the quality characteristics of live commerce services, affect the perceived value of users and user's continuous use intention. Second, the perceived value of users plays a mediating role between the quality characteristics of live commerce service and the continuous use intention. Third, personal innovativeness plays a moderating role in the effect of live commerce service quality on the perceived value of e-commerce users. Fourth, among the relative effects of the service quality characteristic variables, the relative effect of reliability is the greatest followed by that of convenience, marketability, and Wang Hong, in order of precedence, and the effect of social presence is the smallest. Research implications or Originality - South Korean government's plan to support for advancing into live commerce in China were presented as strategic implications for exporting South Korean products to China through online services including live commerce.

Purpose - The purpose of this study to explore factors consumers prioritize when purchasing seafood online. The originality of the study lies on adopting AHP-based approach in analyzing prioritized purchasing factors of seafood online. Design/methodology/approach - A survey was conducted targeting Korean consumers who have purchased seafood online. AHP method was applied to rank factors consumers prioritize before making decision. Findings - First, product's factor ranked first among other high level factors including delivery service, seller, online platform. Second, sanitation, taste, country of origin ranked first, second, third respectively, within product's factors. Third, safe delivery, timeliness, information accuracy ranked first, second, third respectively, within delivery factors. Fourth, consumer reviews, consumer response ability, promotion ranked first, second, third within seller factors. Fifth, Personal information management system, credibility, user-friendliness ranked first, second, third, within online platform factors. Research implications or Originality - To activate seafood online market, it is crucial to assure consumers that the seafood is well managed in a sanitary way from the production site to table. Existing government programs such as seafood traceability system, HACCP, and cold-chain infrastructure needs improvement. Due to highly perishable characteristic of seafood, delivery factors matter when purchasing online. Online platforms needs to continue to improve delivery service. Seafood products are mostly not branded and without objective information about their properties. Creating quality classification and seafood brands are likely to help consumers chose seafood online.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the North Korea's net export to China and Liaoning on the North Korean economic growth. Design/methodology/approach - This study collects the data on the net export of North Korea to China and Liaoing from General Administration of Customs, People's Republic of China. Vector Autoregression(VAR) is also employed for the analysis. Findings - First, North Korea's net export to all of China and Liaoning gives the positive effect on North Korean economic growth. Second, the nuclear test of North Korea gives the negative effect on the North Korean economic growth. Third, the net export to China and Liaoning granger causes the North Korean economic growth. Lastly, the nuclear test of North Korea also granger causes the North Korean economic growth. Research implications or Originality - The estimation results show the net export of North Korea to China as well as Liaoning is important to the economic growth. Therefore, we need to examine North Korea's trades with specific region as well as all of China in order to enhance the North Korean economic growth.

Purpose - This study analyzed the correlation and effect of FTA environmental factors (company internal environmental factors, corporate external environmental factors) between FTA utilization and performance of Shandong companies in China. Design/methodology/approach - To test the hypothesis, SPSS 24.0 statistical packages were used based on the collected data. Findings - First, it was confirmed that internal environmental factors (international marketing orientation, corporate competitiveness, and corporate awareness of FTA) of companies had a positive(+) effect on FTA utilization. Second, The government's support for FTA utilization will have a significant positive (+) effect on companies' FTA utilization.Non-tariff barriers will have a negative (-) effect on companies' use of FTA. Third, A company's FTA utilization will have a significant positive effect on FTA performance. Research implications or Originality - If Shandong companies want to increase the utilization of FTAs, they should strengthen international marketing, such as collecting information on competitors and improving product quality and price competitiveness, and increase corporate competitiveness through active export activities to the global market.In order to increase the awareness of FTA among enterprises in Shandong Province, the government should strengthen the relevant education of enterprises about FTA.

Purpose - This study investigate the effect of innovative capacity on corporate export performance and moderating flexibility. Design/methodology/approach - For this, hypotheses were established by reviewing previous studies and an empirical analysis was conducted for testing. Using SPSS 22.0, a frequency analysis of related variables was conducted. Through an exploratory factor analysis, validity and reliability tests of measuring tools were conducted and a descriptive statistics was analyzed for collected data result and hypotheses testing. Findings - Finally, with a verified model, the hypotheses and the moderating effects were tested. The results are as follows; The innovationa capacities have a positive effect on export performance and flexibility However, the flexbilitiy was not moderator in the relationship between innovative capacity and export performance. Research implications or Originality - According to the results above, this study presents directions to improve export performance of technological innovative type SMEs. The innovative capabilities, marketing capacity, organization innovative capacity and process innovative capactity, has an positive effect on
