연구목적: 본 연구는 치과위생사 및 치위생(학)과 학생의 디지털 역량이 구강스캔 시간과 오차에 영향을 미칠 수 있는지를 확인하고자 시행되었다. 연구방법: 구강스캐너 사용 경험이 없는 치과위생사 및 치위생(학)과 학생을 대상으로 디지털 역량에 대한 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 동일한 대상자들에게 구강스캐너 사용법을 교육한 후, 구강 스캔을 3회 시행시켰고 이때 각 회차별 스캔 시간을 측정하였다. 이후, 3D 분석 프로그램을 이용, 모델스캐너로 채득한 기준데이터와 구강스캐너로 앞서 채득한 개별데이터를 중첩 분석하여 스캔오차를 확인하였다. 연구결과: 연령이 낮을수록 디지털 역량이 높고 스캔 시간이 적게 소요되었고, 디지털 역량 수준이 높은 그룹에서 스캔 시간이 짧았으며, 통계적으로 유의하였다. 세부 역량 중에서는 디지털 기술과 디지털 지식 역량 점수가 1점 증가 시, 스캔 시간이 각각 3.73분, 3.98분 감소하였다(p<0.05). 반면, 스캔 오차는 디지털 역량의 영향을 받지 않았다. 결론: 구강스캐너 연구 및 교육 시행 시, 연령과 디지털 역량을 고려해야 할 것이며, 추후 연구에서 치과 영역 맞춤형 디지털 역량 평가 도구 개발을 제안한다.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the CAMBRA-students application by assessing the changes in dental caries risk factors and management effectiveness in elementary and middle school students. Methods: This study was conducted between July 2023 and May 2024 and included 113 participants (55 experimental and 58 control participants). Participants used the CAMBRA-students application to enter the protective and risk factors. Clinicians recorded the disease indicators and classified the participants into risk groups. Only the experimental group received the tailored dental caries management program, with feedback provided via the applicationat each intervention stage. Results: The pre- and post-intervention assessments revealed an increase in the high-risk group and a decrease in the extremehigh-risk group. Conversely, the control group exhibited a decrease in the high-risk group and an increase in the extreme high-risk group. The DMFT index and rateand salivary flow rate increased in both groups. The Simple Hygiene Score and ΔR decreased and increased in the experimental and control groups, respectively, with no statistically significant differences. Conclusions: The CAMBRA-students application effectively prevented dental caries in children and adolescents. The future development of personalized oral care programs tailored to different life stages is recommended.

연구목적 : 본 연구는 노인의 구강건강증진 프로그램 개발 및 적용에 따른 구강건강상태 개선효과를 확인하고, 노인의 구강건강증진 프로그램에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 부산광역시 부산진구 D노인복지시설 이용 노인과 부산, 울산지역을 포함한 경남지역의 노인복지시설 이용 노인 29명을 대상으로 하였으며, 실험군은 8주동안 매주 1회 시설을 방문하여 전문가 구강관리(스펀지 브러쉬, 변형바스법, 와타나베법, 치간칫솔, 잇몸마사지)를 제공하였고, 매일 구강기능향상운동(코끼리 피리 불기와 껌 저작)을 시행하도록 하였다. 연구결과: 구취는시행 전 2.47점에서 시행 후 0.53점으로 감소하였고, 타액분비량은 시행 전 6.33점에서 시행 후 7.27점으로 증가하였으며, 타액완충능은 시행전 5.13점에서 시행 후 8.07점으로 증가하였다. 구륜근력은 시행 전 0.64점에서 시행 후 1.57점으로 구륜근력이 증가하였으며, 치은출혈지수는시행 전 18.11점에서 시행 후 9.94점, 치면세균막지수는 시행 전 27.69점에서 시행 후 12.63점으로 감소하여 노인을 대상으로 실시한 전문가구강관리와 구강기능향상 운동 프로그램이 노인의 구강건강증진과 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론: 고령화시대 건강한 노인의 구강건강 뿐만 아니라 삶의 질 향상을 위해 노인의 건강증진 방안의 일환으로 전문가 구강관리와 구강기능향상 운동 프로그램을 적극 활용할 수 있는 방안이 모색되어져야 할 것이다.

연구목적: 본 연구는 보건의료계열 전공 대학생들을 대상으로 지식재산 교육에 대한 인식도와 요구도를 측정하여 향후 지식재산 교육 과정 개발 시 반영하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 충청남도 C시에 소재하고 있는 D대학교 보건계열(물리치료학과, 보건행정학과, 임상병리학과, 치위생학과) 재학생을 대상으로 2024년 1월 5일부터 2024년 1월 26일까지 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였고 151명이 설문에 참여하였다. 연구결과: 응답자의 84.8%는 여학생이었으며, 보건행정학과와 치위생학과 전공자가 각 32.5%로 가장 많았다. 응답자의 13.9%만이 지식재산 관련 교과목을 수강한 경험이 있었고, 이와 관련된 활동 경험은 22.5%로 나타났다. 보건계열 대학생의 지식재산 교육 중요도의 평균 점수는3.88(±0.80)점이며, 요구도의 평균 점수는 3.78(±0.80)점이었다. IPA Matrix분석을 실시한 결과, 1사분면(높은 중요도, 높은 요구도)에 13개 주제, 2사분면(낮은 중요도, 높은 요구도)에 1개 주제, 3사분면(낮은 중요도, 낮은 요구도)에 18개 주제, 4사분면(높은 중요도, 낮은 요구도)에 4개 주제가 포함되었다. 1사분면에 위치한 교육 주제는 '특허권 확보', '특허 등록 요건', '특허권의 효력', '특허 침해 및 구제', '저자권의 효력' 등으로 나타났다. 결론: 향후 지식재산 교육과정 운영에서 대학생들의 흥미와 관심을 높일 수 있도록 중요도와 요구도를 고려한 교육 콘텐츠 개발 및 혁신 교육방법이 적용되어야 한다.

연구목적: 본 연구는 임신 및 출산을 경험한 여성의 구강건강 문제와 치과의료 이용 행태가 건강 관련 삶의 질(EQ-5D)에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 제8차 국민건강영앙조사(2019-2021)의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구방법: 임신 및 출산 경험이 있는 대상자 2,389명 중 1,301명이 최종 분석에 포함되었다. EQ-5D에 대한 영향요인을 파악하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: EQ-5D에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 일반적 특성(나이, 가계소득, 기초생활보장, 교육수준), 구강건강 문제(저작 문제, 저작 불편함 호소, 말하기 문제) 등이 있었다(p<0.001). 결론: 임신과 출산을 경험하는 여성의 구강건강 문제와 치과의료 이용 행태는 건강관련 삶의 질에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구결과는 여성의 계속적인 구강관리에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the digital literacy and major satisfaction levels of dental hygiene students and identify the interrelationships between them as well as the factors related to major satisfaction. Methods: An online survey was using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 223 dental hygiene students. Digital literacy and major satisfaction were measured using a 5-point Likert scale, and correlation and multiple regression analyses were performed. Results: The participants' digital literacy averaged 3.87 points, and their major satisfaction averaged 3.82 points. The digital literacy factor related to major satisfaction was critical thinking skills (β=0.747, p<0.001). This indicates that the higher the critical thinking skills, the higher the major satisfaction. The explanatory power of the model was 63.7%. Conclusions: Critical thinking skills as a factor of digital literacy were found to influence dental hygiene students' major satisfaction, suggesting that a curriculum that can increase critical thinking can improve major satisfaction.

Objectives: This study aimed to identify the key components and tools for Comprehensive Dental Hygiene Care (CDHC) among dental hygienists and provide foundational data for widespread implementation in dental institutions. Methods: A third Delphi survey involving experts derived the CDHC components and materials. Dental hygienists' characteristics and the CDHC application status were analyzed for frequency. The perceived need for and willingness to apply the CDHC components based on general characteristics were assessed using t-tests. Results: The results of the Delphi survey identified the following CDHC components: 11 for medical history; three, dental history; five, oral hygiene practices; seven, dental conditions; three, occlusion conditions; six, periodontal conditions; and, three, other examinations. Planning included 3 items for healthy gums and 4 for gingivitis and mild periodontitis. Evaluation included 7 items for mild periodontitis, 5 for patient education, and totally 27 CDHC-related materials. Dental hygienists' needs and willingness varied, with higher levels among those in clinics, university graduates, those in counseling or managerial roles, team leaders or those at higher positions, and those with >6 years of experience (p<0.05). Conclusions: The Delphi survey identified the CDHC clinical application process, confirming the strong desire of dental hygienists to apply it in practice.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess the relationship between electric toothbrush use and the presence of community periodontal index (CPI) code calculus among Korean adults. Methods: Data from the 7th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were analyzed. Multiple logistic regression analysis with a complex sampling design was conducted, adjusting for general characteristic factors. Analyses were performed using SPSS Statistics 29.0. Results: Among the participants, the prevalence of electric toothbrush users was 5.3%. Within this group, 4.7% had periodontal disease, whereas 5.9% did not (p=0.025). Even after adjusting for general characteristics factors in model II of electric toothbrush use, the odds ratio remained statistically significant at 0.791 (95% CI: 0.631-0.992) in all cases. Conclusions: Electric toothbrush use appears to be associated with potential benefits in managing the CPI code calculus distribution; however, evidence supporting this notion remains insufficient. The study findings suggest that these results could be a basis for future studies related to oral hygiene products and the design of oral health promotion programs.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effects of conscious sedation on patient satisfaction with dental treatment. Methods: The survey included questions on the patients' general characteristics, dental treatment fear, anxiety, and satisfaction, and patient evaluation by an observer. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 20.0 ver. and data were analyzed using frequency analysis, independent t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multilinear regression analysis. Results: Patients who received conscious sedation therapy showed significantly lower levels of dental fear and anxiety, whereas their dental treatment satisfaction was significantly higher than that of patients who received regular dental treatment (p<0.05). Dental treatment fear, anxiety, satisfaction, and conscious sedation depth were significantly correlated in patients who received conscious sedation therapy (p<0.05). Factors influencing dental treatment satisfaction included age, weight, use of medication, smoking habits, use of conscious sedation therapy, dental treatment fear and anxiety, and conscious sedation depth (p<0.05). Conclusions: Conscious sedation therapy can be an effective method to reduce dental treatment fear and anxiety and improve patient satisfaction.
