The Effect of the Future IT Convergence Curriculum on Teaching Efficacy of Prospective Teachers

Abstract

Changes in traditional education are required to enhance key capabilities to respond to future society. In the knowledge society, convergence thinking skills that can solve the problem at hand by converging knowledge from various fields are more important than acquiring fragmentary knowledge. Furthermore, the improvement of teaching Efficacy will be the basis for the efficient operation of unfamiliar concept convergence education. Accordingly, in this paper, the 15 classes of convergence curriculum were conducted for prospective teachers of the Teachers College. Besides, the effectiveness of the training process was analyzed by observing the changing aspects of teaching efficacy. The analysis showed that both self efficacy and result expectancy factors of prospective teachers before and after the class have significantly improved. We hope that prospective teachers' convergence education abilities will be improved and that future research on convergence education will be more active.

미래 사회에 대응하기 위한 핵심 역량을 제고하기 위하여 전통적 교육의 변화가 요구되고 있다. 지식정보사회에서 단편적 지식의 습득보다는 여러 분야의 지식을 융합하여 당면한 문제를 해결할 수 있는 융합적 사고력이 중요하다. 또한, 교수 효능감의 향상은 낯선 개념의 융복합교육을 효율적으로 운영할 수 있는 단초가 될 것이다. 이에 따라, 본 논문에서는 교육대학의 예비교원을 대상으로 15차시에 걸쳐 융복합 교육과정을 실시하였으며, 교수 효능감의 변화 양상을 관찰하여 교육과정의 효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 교육과정 수강 전후 예비교원의 교수 효능감은 개인적 효능감과 결과 기대심 요인 모두 유의미하게 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문을 토대로 예비교원의 융복합교육 역량이 향상되고, 향후 융복합교육에 관한 연구가 더욱 활발히 이루어지기를 기대한다.
