Preparation of Zinc Oxide Thin Film by CFR Method and its Electrical Property for Detection of Sulfur Compounds (CFR 법에 의한 산화아연 박막의 제조 및 황 화합물 검출을 위한 전기적 특성)

  • The zinc oxide thin film, which can be applied as the gas sensor of a semiconductor type, was grown on the silicon substrate by CFR(continuous flow reaction) method in this study. The growth property and the electrical property of the zinc oxide thin films synthesized by CFR method were also investigated. Zinc acetate solutions of 0.005~0.02 M were used as the precursor for the preparation of zinc oxide thin films. The size of ZnO particles consisted on the zinc oxide thin film increased not only with increasing concentration of precursor, but also the thickness of thin film increased. The growth rate of zinc oxide thin film by CFR method was proportionably depend on the concentration of precursor and the uniform ZnO thin film was prepared when zinc acetate of 0.01 M is used as the precursor. The charged currents on the zinc oxide thin films were obtained as its electrical property by I-V meter, and increased agree with increasing the thickness of zinc oxide thin film. Thus, it was concluded that the charged current on the zinc oxide thin film can be controlled with changing concentration of precursor solution in CFR method. The charged currents on the zinc oxide thin films also decreased when ZnO thin film is exposed under hydrogen sulfide of 500 ppmv at $300^{\circ}C$ for 5 min. From these results, it could be confirmed that the zinc oxide thin film prepared by CFR method can be used for the detection of sulfur compounds.

  • A new synthetic method for bufexamac, which is a potent anti-inflammatory agent, was described. Friedel-Crafts reaction of butoxybenzene (2) with ethyl ${\alpha}-chloro-{\alpha}-(methylthio)acetate$ (1) gave ethyl 2-methylthio-2-(p-butoxyphenyl) acetate (3). Ethyl 2-(p-butoxyphenyl)acetate (4) was prepared by desulfurization of compound (3) with zinc dust-acetic acid. Bufexamac (5) could be easily synthesized by treatment of compound (4) with hydroxylamine HCl.

Fabrication of High-resistive ZnO Films Using Zinc acetate as Precursor and Their Humidity-sensing Properties (Zinc acetate를 precursor로 한 고저항 ZnO막의 제조 및 습도감지 특성)

  • ZnO films have been deposited on oxide grown Si wafers by the conventional thermal evaporation method. Anhydrous zinc acetate was directly heated and sublimed in the laboratory-made brass boat. The substrates temperature varied from $200^{\circ}C$ to $600^{\circ}C$. Oxygen has been flowed into the deposition chamber to change the partial pressure of oxygen. The films deposited at high oxygen pressure exhibited higher resistivity than films at low pressure. X-Ray Diffraction(XRD), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy(EDS) and Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry (RBS) were conducted on the films to reveal the crystallinity and composition of the ZnO films. The ZnO films deposited at high oxygen pressure were extremly sensitive to the humidity of higher than 70 % RH.

Effect of annealing temperature on amorphous indium zinc oxide thin films prepared by a sol-gel spin-coating method

  • Transparent conductive indium zinc oxide thin films were prepared by spin-coating a sol-gel solution. Zinc acetate dihydrate [$Zn(CH_3COO)_2{\cdot}2H_2O$] and indium acetate [In$(CH_3COO)_3$] were used as starting precursors, and 2-methoxyethanol with 1-propanol as solvents. Upon annealing in a temperature range from 500 to $1000^{\circ}C$, the thin film crystallizes into polycrystalline $In_2O_3$(ZnO). The lowest electrical resistivity was obtained at an annealing temperature of $700^{\circ}C$ as $2{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$. Average optical transmittances were higher than 80% at all annealing temperatures. These experimental results confirm that the sol-gel spin-coating can be a good simplified practical method for forming transparent electrodes.

  • A new method for the synthesis of butibufen, which is a non steroidal anti-iriflammatory agent, is described. Friedel-Crafts reaction of isobutylbenzene with ethyl $\alpha$-chloro-.alpha.-(methylthio) acetate (1) gives ethyl $\alpha$-methylthio-(p-isobutylphenyl)acetate (2). Ethyl 2-methylthio-2-(4-isobutylphenyl)butyrate (3) is obtained from treatment of the compound (2) with NaH and Etl. Butibufen (5) is synthesized by reductive desulfurization of the compound (3) with zinc dust-acetic acid or Raney nickel, followed by hydrolysis of the resultant ethyl 2-(4-isobutylphenyl)butyrate (4).

  • Lidocaine(2-Diethylaminoaceto-2', 6'-xylidide) was transdennally delivered by iontophoresis and the effect of enhancer on the delivery of lidocaine was studied. We delivered lidocaine through the skin of hairless mouse using diffusion cell and investigated the effect of the amount of cation salts such as sodium chloride, calcium acetate, zinc acetate and aluminum acetate on the drug delivery. The amounts of transported drugs and adsorbed metal ions were measured by HPLC(High Perfonnance Liquid Chromatography) and AAS(Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry), respectively. The addition of zinc acetate and aluminum acetate greatly enhanced the delivery of lidocaine. The detection of two metal ions by AAS seemed to support the idea that the astringency effect of these ions were the main reason for the enhancement of transdermal delivery.

  • We report the effect of the chain length of carboxylic acid on the photoluminescence(PL) of $CuInS_2$/ZnS nanocrystals. $CuInS_2$/ZnS nanocrystals with emission wavelength ranging from 566 nm through 583 nm were synthesized with zinc acetate and carboxylic acids with various chain length. In this study, $CuInS_2$/ZnS nanocrystals prepared using long chain carboxylic acid showed more improved PL intensity. The origin of strong photoluminescence of the nanocrystals prepared with zinc acetate and long chain carboxylic acid was ascribed to improved size distribution due to strong reactivity between long chain carboxylic acid and zinc acetate.

  • 본 연구에서는 ripple 구조의 ZnO 박막을 역 구조 태양전지 내에서의 전자 수집층 으로 사용하였으며, $P3HT/IC_{60}BA$와 PEDOT을 각각 active layer와 정공 수집층 으로 사용하였다. zinc acetate의 농도 조절을 통해 다양한 두께와 roughness를 갖는 ripple 구조의 ZnO를 합성할 수 있었으며, hot plate위에서의 온도 조절을 통해 저온에서의 ZnO ripple를 합성할 수 있었다. 다른 농도를 사용해 합성한 ZnO ripple들 보다 0.6M의 zinc acetate를 사용하였을 때 가장 높은 power conversion efficiency (PCE) 와 external quantum efficiency (EQE)를 보여주었다. AFM과 SEM 분석을 통해 0.6M의 zinc acetate조건에서는 표면적이 가장 넓으면서도 다른 농도를 사용 하였을 때에 비해 상대적으로 ripple의 깊이가 더 깊은 표면을 갖는 ZnO가 생성됨을 알 수 있었다. 이는 상대적으로 넓은 surface area를 갖는 ZnO ripple과 active layer 계면사이에서 보다 용이한 charge transfer가 이루어 질수 있기 때문이다.

  • Electrospinning is one of the simple, cost- efficient methods to produce long continuous semiconducting oxide nanofibers. Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and zinc acetate were used. PVA/Zinc acetate aqueous solutions were electrospun into nonwoven webs. CCD camera, with a lens of long working distance and digital video board were used in capturing the drop and web deposition. The diameter and morphology of nanofibers were analyzed with a Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). In this study, the average diameter and morphology of nanofibers have been explorered.

  • 5-Alkyl-2(3H)-benzofuranones(3a-e) were prepared from Friedel-Crafts reaction of 4-alkylphenols with methyl 2-chloro-2-(methylthio)acetae(1) followed by the treatment of zinc du st-acetic acid. The reaction of disubstituted phenols with 1 in the presence of stannic chloride afforded 3-methyltWa-2(3H)-benzofuranone derivatives(11a-c), which were readily converted into 2(3H)-benzofuranone derivatives(12a-c) by desulfurization with zinc dust-acetic acid.
