Ductile Failure Analysis of Defective API X65 Pipes Based on Stress-Modified Fracture Strain Criterion (파괴변형률모델에 기초한 결함이 존재하는 API X65 배관의 연성파괴 해석)

  • A local failure criterion for the API X65 steel is applied to predict ductile failure of full-scale API X65 pipes with simulated corrosion and gouge defects under internal pressure. The local failure criterion is the stress-modified fracture strain for the API X65 steel as a function of the stress triaxiality (defined by the ratio of the hydrostatic stress to the effective stress). Based on detailed FE analyses with the proposed local failure criteria, burst pressures of defective pipes are estimated and compared with experimental data. The predicted burst pressures are in good agreement with experimental data. Noting that an assessment equation against the gouge defect is not yet available, parametric study is performed, from which a simple equation is proposed to predict burst pressure fur API X65 pipes with gouge defects.

  • The behavior of the load bearing capacity of a pipeline with unequal wall thickness was evaluated using finite element analyses. Pipelines with a wall thickness ratio of 1.22-1.89 were adopted to investigate plastic collapse under tensile, internal pressure, or bending stress. A parametric study showed that the tensile strength and moment of a pipeline with a wall thickness ratio less than 1.5 were not influenced by the wall thickness ratio and taper angle; however, those of a pipeline with a wall thickness ratio more than 1.5 decreased considerably at a low taper angle. The failure pressure of a pipeline with unequal wall thickness was not influenced by the wall thickness ratio and taper angle.

Development of Stress-Modified Fracture Strain Criterion for Ductile Fracture of API X65 Steel (API X65 강의 연성파괴 해석을 위한 삼축응력 영향을 고려한 파괴변형률 기준 개발)

  • This paper presents a stress-modified fracture strain for API X65 steel used for gas pipeline, as a function of stress triaxiality. To determine the stress-modified fracture strain, tension test of bars with four different notch radii, made of API X65 steel, is firstly performed, from which true fracture strains are determined as a function of notch radius. Then detailed elastic-plastic, large strain finite element (FE) analyses are performed to estimate variations of stress triaxiality in the notched bars with load. Combining experimental with FE results provides the true fracture strain as a function of stress triaxiality, which is regarded as a criterion of ductile fracture. Application of the developed stress-modified fracture strain to failure prediction of gas pipes made of API X65 steel with various types of defects is discussed.

  • SCTP is a next generation transmission protocol that is more efficient for large scale data transmission like as multimedia data. SCTP protocol is supported in recent linux kernel 2.6.0-testX. SCTP which is supported in linux kernel 2.6 implemented in lksctp package styles. It is necessary that SCTP API is analyzed and is compared with TCP, UDP protocol. So, in this paper describes the analyzing and testing SCTP API that is supported in linux kernel 2.6.0-testX.

  • This paper reviews the Parlay X and proposes SIP multimedia session control mechanism which is able to be implemented over IMS using Extended Call Control APIs of Parlay X. Parlay X is one of the industrial standards of Open API in the telecommunication to open network resources and capabilities to third party service providers. In this paper, SIP session control mechanism is described by depicting call flows of basic and essential session handling methods including session initiation, transfer, restoration, and termination. We also show how easy Parlay X Extended Call Control APIs can be used for the purpose of complicated calls handling in the IT applications. To verify feasibility of the blended services based on convergence of telecommunication and internet with regard to performance, we accomplish experimental performance of Extended Call Control APIs from IT application through open service gateway. We show Open API could be applied to next generation network based on IMS without serious degradation of the network performance.

  • 본 논문에서는 API X80 강의 대변형 비선형 거동을 모사하기 위해 비선형 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 고강도 강재의 거동을 모사하기 위해 GTN(Gurson-Tvergaad-Needleman) 모델을 사용하였으며, 비선형 해석을 위해 범용 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS와 User Subroutine의 사용자 재료모델(UMAT)을 연계하여 사용하였다. 해석결과와 인장실험의 결과와의 비교를 통해 GTN 모델에서 사용되는 재료모델 상수를 도출하였고, 도출된 값들은 개발된 사용자 재료모델과 함께 API X80 강의 각종 실험을 모사하고 대변형 상황의 강재 파이프의 거동을 분석하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a micro-mechanical model of ductile fracture for the API X65 steel using the Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman (GTN) model. Experimental tests and FE damage simulations using the GTN model are performed for smooth and notched tensile bars, from which the parameters in the GTN model are calibrated. As application, the developed GTN model is applied to simulate small-sized, single-edge-cracked tensile and bend bars, via three-dimensional FE damage analyses. Comparison of FE damage analysis results with experimental test data shows overall good agreements.

Evaluation of HIC/SSCC Resistance for API-X70 Pipe Manufactured by JCO Bending Process and SA Welding (JCO 밴딩과 SA용접으로 제조된 API-X70급 강관의 HIC/SSCC 저항성 평가)

  • This study aims at manufacturing SA welded API-X70 line-pipe with sour gas resistance. A pipe was manufactured by JCO bending process and SA welding using the API-X70 plate guaranteed HIC resistance. SA welded pipe was expanded in order to reduce the residual stress. The evaluation of a pipe for resistance to HIC and SSCC were performed by the RS D 0004 and RS D 0005 standards. For verification that a pipe has acceptable resistance to HIC, fullscale test was carried out. Results showed no cracking for the HIC and SSCC.

  • 통신환경이 개방형 네트워크로 새로운 통신네트워크의 변화를 가져오게 되면서 third-party업체들이 애플리케이션을 제공할 수 있게 되었다. 이런 광대역통합망의 서비스 제공을 위하여 third-party에게 Open API를 통하여 하부 전달망 특성을 개방한다. Parlay API는 대표적인 Open API이며 Parlay API와 웹 서비스를 접목시키고 한 단계 더 추상화한 Parlay X API가 있다. Parlay X API는 웹 서비스의 장점을 가지고 있지만 QoS제공을 위한 방법이 제시되어 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 Messaging Sever를 추가하여 QoS를 제공하기위한 방법에 대하여 제시한다.
