in this paper, each methodology, e.g. normal single PID controller, direct synthesis method and inverse response compensator, will be compared to determine the best inverse response plant control method, by based on the appearance of the control performance and robustness from the simulation results. The flexibility of being able to maintain the system stability during the presence of plant model mismatch is one of the criteria to measure the robustness of overall control system. Once, plant has changed the condition, the model will need to be updated. Hence, the designed controller will not work properly. The caused of plant model mismatch is stayed by definition unknown but the most possib...
This paper has been studied about promotion system for fire assessment. Mainly system carried out for BCJ (Building Center of Japan) and JFSC (Japan Fire Safety Center) fire risk assessment system. Much of the work of fire science and fire protection engineering is now explicitly designed to fill gaps or improve accuracy or flexibility In some comprehensive fire hazard or fire risk models.
The determination of appropriate buffer capacity is an important issue in the design of the advanced manufacturing systems and closely related to the system efficiency and flexibility. Work-in-process is usually not desirable. However, in reality, maintaining some capacity of buffer storage is inevitable in compensation for the machine blocking and break down. The objective of this paper is to present analytical methods and tools for the buffer capacity planning in the Flexible Manufacturing System Environments. The effects when machine blocking is critical factor are also discussed.
Web 2.0 is changing the paradigm of using the Internet which is affecting the e-learning paradigm. E-learning 2.0 based on the Web 2.0 has a bottom-up approach which learners work on content with social networking and collaboration in their own cyberspace. Second Life is presented as a new e-learning environment. - Flexibility, - Strong social networking, - Residents’ creative activities of Second Life ⇨ Unlimited potential to educators Second Life is a classroom built in 3D cyber space.
This study explored the characteristics of elementary gifted students' creative problem-solving skills combining creativity and problem-solving ability based on their work on Fermi estimation problems. The analysis revealed that gifted students exhibited strong logical validity and breadth but showed some weaknesses in divergent thinking abilities (fluency, flexibility, originality).
본 연구는 협동작업환경에서의 CAD(Computer Aided Design)/CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering)와 같은 공학 디자인 프로세스를 인지학적으로 지원하기 위한 CSCW 시스템을 개발하는 데 그 목적이 있다.
Many different polymeric materials are introduced fur the alternative solutions of electro-mechanical actuators. Although light weight and grate flexibility of the material deserves notable attention from enormous publications, few of the publication has discussed feasibility study for actual industrial applications. Most of the previous work demonstrated plain movement of the material without delineating any design concept that guarantees 'controllable action'. The present work introduces a noble design concept that provides controllable action and the concept is verified through a modeling and a simulation of the actuation method.
Recently, much attention is paid on the office design be-cause the real world of work has undergone substantial changes, in both spatial and temporal aspects, due to the in-troduction of data processing technologies and new types of production. Today's renewed objectives of office are to define new physical space for work, to deal with economic and organizational changes. In the period of information, the purpose of an office is to improve the productivity for employers employees the comfort and vitality. Today's intellecture resources are necessary for the development in the modern business. The Hypid office, as an alternative in order to correspond the rapid changes, is proposed to give the space for satisfy-ing the basic desires of a human being-eating, resting and working. Accompanying with flexibility and comfortability, this office should include the space for personal purpose and the space for social purpose. Applying the concept of comfort like at home leads to re-lease a worker's stress from the society of information. The future office which is to enhance the quality of culture by in-tegrating indivisual, domestic and social life should commu-nicate efficiency, movement, energy, transformation.
This paper deals with the problem of mixed model assembly line balancing. In mixed model assembly lines, tsks should be assigned to stations in such a manner that all stations have approximately the same amount of work on a production cycle basis. Further in balancing assembly lines, the related tasks, the performing task side and the team tasks should be considered to improve work methods, to give more job satisfaction to workers, and to allow greater flexibility in the design of assembly lines. In this paper, the heuristic dispatch assignment rule is developed to assign evenly tasks of each model to all stations. The heuristic method based on the assignment rule developed is presented for mixed model assembly line balancing with the considerations of the related tasks, the performing task side, and the team tasks. The proposed method is analyzed, and compared with other methods for line balancing.
