  • A web-based program life-cycle management(PLM) system is introduced to implement the system engineering processes and to provide the development traceability online. This information system aims for the realization of essential system engineering management techniques currently applied to the space launch system development program including management of configuration and data based on the work breakdown structure(WBS), WBS, bill of materials and mass properties. The system enhances communication and gives access to the development data with relevant information such as data-to-data relation and approval status/history through the web, and preserve all of the development data throughout the program life-cycle. Further improvement of the system is planned to implement the program management processes and co provide integrated information useful for the programmatic decision making.

  • This study is proposed to develop a numerical interaction model of the magnetically levitated(maglev) train and guideway. For this purpose, equation of motion for 6-DOF vehicle model, EMS, guideway and guideway irregularity are derived as the state-space equation. In order to solve the state space equations, the present work was performed via matlab simulation using Runge-Kutta method. Through the simulation, the effect of dynamic response of maglev system to different vehicle speeds, guideway rigidity(EI) and masses is investigated.

  • In this paper, to find probable collision positions between moving object and terrain in 3D space efficiently, we use a model, similar to Ray Tracing, which finds the triangles intersected by a directed line segment from a large amount of triangles. We try to reduce dead space as much as possible to find candidate triangles intersected by a directed line segment than previous work's. A new modified octree, LBV-Octree(Least Bounding Voxel Octree), is proposed, and we have a ray tracing with it. In the experiment, ray tracing with LBV-Octree provides $5%{\sim}11%$ better performance than with classical octree.

  • Recently a construction industry introduces information technology that brings about many advantages in the early planning phase, design phase and construction phase. Nevertheless a BIM has a many benefits, it has limits which are not only usually using 3D modeling but also limit of making full use of practical affairs because of a lack of connecting varietals of progress of work. To solve these uppermost limits, this research is presenting unified systems to use in risk management which are efficient management of space and non-space information, space analysis.

  • Turbulence is ubiquitous in astrophysical fluids such as the interstellar medium(ISM) and the intracluster medium(ICM). There are many driving mechanisms which can inject energy into the fluid in variety driving scales, But the plausible driving scale of ISM/ICM turbulence are yet unknown. Therefore, understanding different statistical properties between turbulence with single driving scale and turbulence with double driving scale is required. In this work, we performed 3-dimensional isothermal compressible, magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) turbulence simulations. We drive turbulence in the Fourier space in two ranges, 2

  • System engineering(SE) management techniques applied for space launch system development are introduced to assess the current status and address the effectiveness of these techniques. Management plans and guides are prepared for the work breakdown structure, data, configuration, interface control, quality assurance, procurement, reliability, risk and verification/validat ion. Further improvement is required for the system engineering management plan(SEMP) to merge the international cooperation into current engineering management system.

  • Stars lose their masses constantly after their birth, but the stellar mass loss is especially prominent in the last stages of their lives. It has been believed that red superginats are losing their masses at rates of 10-8∼10-4M/yr. They are known to be asymptotic giant branch stars that are at the end stages of the evolution for the stars with zero age main sequence masses of 1∼10M. Red supergiants are often characterized by the thick dust envelopes and large amplitude pulsations. According to their energy spectra, chemical composition, they are divided into three main group; M-type Miras, C-type carbon stars, and OH/IR stars. The purpose of this work is to clarify the evolutionary aspects in the physical parameters of the red supergiants mainly from the direct interpretation of their infrared spectra.

  • xIn the present work, we explored the effect of the radiation on the effective impact parameter for capture in a fully general relativistic manner. To summarize our results, evidently due to the radiation drag (the Poynting-Robertson effect), critical impact parameter of point particle gets larger by the factor of two, thus, the effective cross section of the luminous relativistic star becomes 4 times larger than that of the star without radiation emission. In addition, the finite size effect of the star adds up to this growth of the effective cross section.

  • Recently a construction industry introduces information that brings about many advantages in the early planning phase, design phase and construction phase. Especially it replaces 2D, 3D systems(usually using explanation of drawing information) ai 4D CAD(offering a sort of 4D-having relation of construction schedule and 3D drawing information). Nevertheless a 4D has these benefits, it has limits which are not only usually using 3D modeling but also limit of making full use of practical affairs because of a lack of connecting varietals of progress of work. To solve these uppermost limits, this research is presenting unified systems to use in risk management which are efficient management of space and non-space information, space analysis, making full use of data base, introducing GIS system of easy interaction.

  • As the physical functions of school buildings and the changes in the functions of educational facilities due to social change are increasing, the demand for fundamental and long-term measures for the maintenance of educational facilities is expanding. However, depending on the function of the facility, the maintenance work has been carried out only when it is directly related to the safety problem, or when the request of the school facility manager is requested, rather than supporting preventive maintenance. In this study, we investigate the maintenance process of educational facilities and propose a method to manage the maintenance process of the educational facilities in the unit of space for establishing an efficient maintenance management system.
