The works of Alessandro Mendini doing a big role in Italian design give us fresh impetus and the message on future design. His work activity has created new space and given the second life with arranging radical and fresh visual ornaments by using various materials. His design works have been challenged on fixed and ordinary thought. He applies gorgeous and plain natural colors. When he develops idea into the form, his works hold meditation and clear subjectivity. Alessandro Mendini makes us aware that his work of arts connects human spirit with thing.

This work intends to study the machine dynamics in the state-space approah and to formulate the operating characteristics of a namplidyne generator, with balanced control field winding and an auxiliary feedback winding for compensating purpose. In the derivation of the dynamic equation, investigations on the demagnetization effects are accentuated, based on the magnetic interlinks between windings of the machine. From the machine dynamic relation obtained, a state-variable representation of the machine dynamics is approached in the first part of this work.

The trends in building construction these days are moving towards having better work space and greater suitability for the use of information technology, Therefore people can work in a more relaxed, delightful and pleasant environment. So accidents like fire could cause the mass destruction of human beings. In this paper, we estimated the escape time from a building and simulated the study results on computer to see how safe it would be in a real situation.

Enough school facility maintenance data should be accumulated in a database or data warehouse in order to supply information about school facility correct maintenance budget plan, budget assignment, and cycle and rate of maintenance or replacement. For those, this research analyze the present school facility maintenance practice and budget and construction cost structure. In order to solve the problems, this study analyze the present practice of maintenance and replacement and obtain LCC(Life cycle cost) data, perform expert interview and then establish construction work breakdown structure of maintenance of educational facility by combining work breakdown structure(WBS) and cost breakdown structure(CBS).

This paper suggested a whiteboard for multimedia collaboration work. We implemented the whiteboard so that the users participated in collaborative work may refer shared media objects as the same view to others. In this paper, we discuss a method for increasing reliability of media data through whiteboard. This paper explains a performance analysis of a media data system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques.

In our previous paper (Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 37(2000), 493-505), we claimed a theorem on a certain subset of a projective space over a finite field (Theorem 3.1). Recently, however, Professor Kato pointed out that our proof does not work if the field consists of two elements. Here we give an alternative proof of the theorem for the exceptional case.

In this paper an algorithm is presented which serves for collision avoidance between robots with working space. The method is based on the concept of a hierarchical coordinator and permits an on-line application. Computing possible collision points a collision_free trajectory for the robot with no right_of_way precedence is generated. The computations are based on the states of the robots concerned including their practicable accelerations and velocities.

Some random fixed point theorems for nonexpansive and *-nonexpansive random operators defined on convex and star-shaped sets in a Frechet space are proved. Our work extends recent results of Beg and Shahzad and Tan and Yaun to noncontinuous multivalued random operators, sets analogue to an earlier result of Itoh and provides a random version of a deterministic fixed point theorem due to Singh and Chen.
