순환전압전류법에 의한 알킬기를 함유한 에탄올아민용액에서 스테인리스의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Characterization of Stainless Steel in Ethanolamine Solution Containing an Alkyl Group using Cyclic Voltammetry)

  • 전형적인 3-전극 시스템의 순환전압전류법을 사용하여 알킬기를 가진 에탄올아민 용액 중에서 스테인리스에 대한 전류-전압 곡선을 측정하였다. 스테인리스는 작업 전극으로, Ag/AgCl 전극은 기준 전극으로, 그리고 백금선은 상대 전극으로 각각 사용하였다. N-에틸에탄올아민과 N,N-디메틸에탄올아민 용액에서의 스테인리스의 C-V특성은 순환전압전류법으로부터 산화전류에 기인한 비가역 공정으로 나타났다. 부식억제제의 확산계수의 효과는 각각 농도 증가에 따라 감소하였다. 금속의 SEM 이미지로부터 0.5 N의 전해질에서 부식억제제인 N,N-디에틸에탄올아민 ($1.0{\times}10^{-3}M$)을 첨가한 경우, 구리와 니켈에서 부식억제 효과가 향상되었다.

  • In present work, $La_{0.8}Ca_{0.2}CrO_3$ (LCC) ceramic interconnect layer for SOFC was prepared by using thermal plasma spray coating process. The LCC powders were synthesized by Pechini method and calcined at the temperature of $1000^{\circ}C$. The prepared LCC powder was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), particle counter, BET analysis, respectively. In addition, basic and essential properties of LCC layer coated by thermal plasma spray coating process such as the morphology of surface and cross section for coated layer, gas leak rate, and electrical conductivity were analyzed and discussed. Based on these experimental results, it can be concluded that the LCC layer coated by thermal plasma spray coating process can be suitable as a ceramic interconnect of SOFC operated at $800^{\circ}C$.

Numerical and experimental study of unsteady wind loads on panels of a radar aerial

  • This work experimentally and numerically analyzes the flow configurations and the dynamic wind loads on panels of rectangular L/h 5:1 cross section mounted on a structural frame of rectangular bars of L/h 0.5:1, corresponding to a radar structure. The fluid dynamic interaction between panels and frame wakes imposes dynamic loads on the panels, with particular frequencies and Strouhal numbers, different from those of isolated elements. The numerical scheme is validated by comparison with mean forces and velocity spectra of a panel wake obtained by wind tunnel tests. The flow configuration is analyzed through images of the numerical simulations. For a large number of panels, as in the radar array, their wakes couple in either phase or counter-phase configurations, changing the resultant forces on each panel. Instantaneous normal and tangential force coefficients are reported; their spectra show two distinct peaks, caused by the interaction of the wakes. Finally, a scaled model of a rectangular structure comprised of panels and frame elements is tested in the boundary layer wind tunnel in order to determine the influence of the velocity variation with height and the three-dimensionality of the bulk flow around the structure. Results show that the unsteady aerodynamic loads, being strongly influenced by the vortex shedding of the supporting elements and by the global 3-D geometry of the array, differ considerably on a panel in this array from loads acting on an isolated panel, not only in magnitude, but also in frequency.

제주도 지하수관정의 오염저감방안 (Improvement Method for Preventing Groundwater Pollution in Jeju Island)

  • A grouting method is the way to effectively prevent pollutants from spreading into the ground during the digging process of groundwater. This study, based on the comparative study of grouting methods being generally accepted, suggests various construction methods which are suitable for geological structure as follows: In Jeju Island, it is very likely that rocks may fall in shuttered zones such as cracks, joints, scoria layers, and clinker layers. For this reason, it is recommended that materials be injected from the bottom toward the top, not from the top to the bottom. In the case where the amount of injected materials become too large in the areas of cracks or joints because of high level of permeability coefficient, grouting materials which smeared into surrounding areas may cause unwanted cut in the aquifer of the bottom level. To avoid this, the amount of water should be reduced from the typical water-cement ratio of 1:2, and grouting materials with larger grading should be used. If the deep excavation of ground is made in Jeju Island, it is likely to have lots of voids because of geological characteristics. Based on the results of this research, it is found that to construct interior casing, the centralizer should be attached to the casing to prevent the casing from being in contact with the counter fort. The grouting in Jeju Island should be thicker than usual. To avoid over-use of grouting materials, to prevent grouting in more than necessary zone, and to facilitate grouting of void areas, the flexible selection of materials is required. And, to exactly figure out the interior of dug well, an examination through CCTV should necessarily be performed when grouting work is in progress.

  • South Korea opened Incheon international airport(IIA) in march 29, 2001, with high expectations of becoming the distribution hub of Northeast Asia and aiming at a world best air hub. IIA compares quite well with any other leading airports in the world in it's facilities for the movement of people and vehicles. However, with the sequence of events following the September, 2001. terrorist attack and the war in Iraq, South Korea, an ally of the US, cannot be considered a safe haven from terrorism. At a point in time when national security is given utmost importance, it is necessary to reevaluate the security of airports, because international terrorism can only occur via air and seaports. Nowadays all the countries of the world have entered into competition for their national interests and innovation of their images. with the increasing role of international airports also comes an increased likelihood as a terrorist target, because it can affect so many people and countries. From the condition of current international terrorism, we can realize that our IIA is not completely safe from a terrorist attack. The major part of counterterrorism is event control process. It's very important for quickly saves an accident and rescues a life of person, In addition for the normalization which the airport operation is prompt. In conclusion, we should secure the legal responsibility and establish and establish a system under which we can work actively in order to implement counter terror activities from being taken an airport.

  • Man has an unconscious desire to free oneself from everyday selves and a strong intellectual desire to see and analyze things in a different perspective. This provided a momentum for architectural design that has long been confined to its limits of modernism of being rational and objective. The ever-changing society that we live in filled with various attempts and pluralistic characteristics shows a complex set of attributes that can hardly be defined by a single term. As society moves towards an uncertain and volatile state, the boundary between literature, philosophy and art has dimmed out and converged. Such tendencies have been observable in recent establishments in architecture in the form of introducing external elements and create an alien and farfetched architectural space. Using the 'depaysement' defamiliarization method expressing irrationality and randomness, it is applied in various aspects, sharing the counter-rational structure and features of such architectural space. Hence, it is the purpose of this study to delve into the unique characteristics of depaysement through Magritte's work which reflects the unique pictorial world built under the influence of surrealism, and discover the $D\acute{e}paysement$ tendencies in modern architectural space. It is apparent in Modern architecture that, owing to the development in digital technology, it is showing process changes in design and an interfacial $D\acute{e}paysement$ effect in cyberspace, an interlace of reality and the virtual world. In this study, the focus of analysis was architectural properties such as the program, figure/spatial, material and the objective side, but due to mutual text properties, it is bound to be an overlapping analysis.

신설 석유화학 공장의 소음도 예측 (Prediction of the Noise Levels for a Newly-founded Petrochemical Plant)

  • Prolonged in-plant personnel exposure to high noise levels results in permant hearing damage. There are no way to correct this hearing damage by treatment or use of hearing aids. Therefore, every employer is responsible for providing a workplace free of such hazards as excessive noise. This study was carried out to evalute and predict a given noise environment based on specific limit as the noise guarantee for a newly-founded petrochemical plant. The maximum total sound level should not exceed 85dBA in the work area, except where the area is defined as a restricted area and 70dBA at the plant boundary. Prediction of the noise levels within the plant area for a newly-founded petrochemical plant was achieved by dividing all plant area into 20m$\times$20m regular grid spaces and noise level inside the area or unit that in-plant personel exposure to high noise levels was estimated computed into 5m$\times$5m regular grid spaces. The noise level at the grid point that was propagated from each of the noise sources(equipments) computed using the methematical formula was defined as follows : $SPL_2$=$SPL_1-20log{\frac{r_2}{r_1}}$(dB) where $SPL_1$ =sound pressure level at distance $r_1$ from the source $SPL_2$=sound pressure level at distance $r_2$ from the source As a result, the equipments exceeded noise limit or irritaring noise levels were identified on the specific grid coordinates. As for equipments in the area that show high noise levels, appropriate counter-measures for noise control (by barriers, enclosure, silencers, or the change of equipments, for example) should be reviewed. Methods for identifying sources of noise applied in this study should be the model for prediction of the noise levels for any newly-founded plant.

Studies on the Printability of Hanji by Sizing and Calendering

  • The development of printable Hanji is regarded as an important work to create a new demand of Hanji in information-oriented era. Hanji has rougher surface, huger absorption of ink and lower optical properties and printabilities than common printing papers. Improving those shortcomings of Hanji is required to be printable Hanji. Sizing and calendering have known as a way to make properties of paper good. Accordingly, this research was performed to find out useful sizing agents for reforming its drawbacks. Four sizing agents (CMC, com starch, PVA, AKD) were used in this research. The optical properties and the printabilities of sized Hanji were tested. The obtained results were as follows. Based on concentration, each sizing agent was prepared. These were CMC(0.5, 1, $1.5\%$), corn starch(1, 2, $3\%$), PVA(1, 5, $10\%$), AKD(0.5, 0.1, $0.15\%$) respectively. After sizing, we performed calendering treatment with pressure of 0.5, $1\;kgf/cm^2$. All the sizing agents and calendering treatment improved the properties of Hanji to some extent. Particularly, com starch was good for gloss. In case of printability, $1\%$ AKD with $1\;kgf/cm^2$ was recommendable for typography ink density, $3\%$ com starch with $0.5\;kgf/cm^2$, inkjet ink density, $2\%$ com starch with $0.5\;kgf/cm^2$, inkjet ink girth. PVA and AKD without calendering were counter-effective agents for inkjet ink density. Printable Hanji is required to have not only better surface strength enough to appear non-picking, higher ink density and lower show-through than base paper but also the lowest ink girth in comparison with base paper. When referring to them, efficient sizing agents were regarded as $0.1\%$ AKD with $1\;kgf/cm^2$, calender pressure, for typography printing and $2\%$ com starch with $0.5\;kgf/cm^2$, calender pressure, for inkjet printing.

  • This dissertation provides a theoretic study on the network security in general , the firewall in particular. In fact the firewall has been recognized as a very promising option to obtain the security inthe real work network environment . The dissertation provides a throuth theoretic investigation on the various problems raised in the computer network, and also explores a methodology of the security against IP spoofing. Moreover, it investigates a systematic procddure to make analysis and plans of the firewall configuration . Based on the above investigation and analysis, this dissertation provides two approaches to network security , which address anumber of issuesboth at the network and at applicatino level. At the network level, a new method is proposed which uses packet filtering based on the analysis of the counter plot about the screen router.On the other hand, at the application level, a novel method is explored which employs secureity software. Firewall-1 , on Bastion host. To demonstrate the feasibililty and the effectiveness of the proposed methodologties , a prototype implementation is made The experiment result shows that the screen router employing the proposed anti-IP spoofing method at the network level is effective enough for the system to remain secure without being invaded by any illegal packets entering form external hackers. Meanwhile , at the application level, the proposed software approach employing Firewall-1 is proved to be robust enugh to prevent hackings from the outer point the point protocal connnection . Theoretically, it is not possible to provide complete security to the network system, because the network security involve a number of issues raised form low level network equipments form high level network protocol. The result inthis dissertation provides a very promising solution to network security due to its high efficiency of the implementation and superb protectiveness from a variety of hacking.

합리적 생각의 물리적 모델링과 주가 흐름 패턴 분석 (Physical Modelling for Consistent Reasonable Thought and Stock-Price Flow Patterns)

  • 사람의 생각을 사람들이 인지할 수 있게 표현한 인문학적 기호를 물리학적 기호로 체계적으로 변환한다. 기호를 체계적으로 사용하는 언어의 개념 구조를 수학적 형식으로 정리하고, 합리적인 개인의 선택을 함수로 표현하는 효용을 도입하였다. 일관성을 도입하여 효용을 보편화하고, 언어의 개념구조와 호환되게 함수를 구성하였고, 확률 형태로 변형하였다. 확률에 대한 랜덤변수를 도입하고, 물리적 위치 변수와 랜덤변수를 연결하여 물리학적 기호를 도입하였다. 기호변화의 패턴을 유도하고 물리적 기호의 변화모델을 구성하였다. 모델은 점프형, 표류형과 확산형 변화 패턴을 예측하고, 주가흐름의 패턴에서 약 2분, 약 3.5분과 약 6분 정도에 나타나는 것을 보였다. 또한 인문학적인 도상기호, 상징기호와 지표기호가 모델에서 예측되는 것을 보였다.
