A Semi-Automatic Semantic Mark Tagging System for Building Dialogue Corpus (대화 말뭉치 구축을 위한 반자동 의미표지 태깅 시스템)

  • Determining the meaning of a keyword in a speech dialogue system is an important technology for the future implementation of an intelligent speech dialogue interface. After extracting keywords to grasp intention from user's utterance, the intention of utterance is determined by using the semantic mark of keyword. One keyword can have several semantic marks, and we regard the task of attaching the correct semantic mark to the user's intentions on these keyword as a problem of word sense disambiguation. In this study, about 23% of all keywords in the corpus is manually tagged to build a semantic mark dictionary, a synonym dictionary, and a context vector dictionary, and then the remaining 77% of all keywords is automatically tagged. The semantic mark of a keyword is determined by calculating the context vector similarity from the context vector dictionary. For an unregistered keyword, the semantic mark of the most similar keyword is attached using a synonym dictionary. We compare the performance of the system with manually constructed training set and semi-automatically expanded training set by selecting 3 high-frequency keywords and 3 low-frequency keywords in the corpus. In experiments, we obtained accuracy of 54.4% with manually constructed training set and 50.0% with semi-automatically expanded training set.

  • isolated word recognition using the Dynamic Time warping algorithm has shown good recognition rate on speaker dependent environment. But, practically, since the searching time of the dynamic Time Warping algorithm is rapidly increased as searching data is increased. it is hard to implement. In the context-dependent-short-query system such as educational children's workbook on the Web, the number of responses to the specific questions is limited. Therefore, the searching space for the answers can be reduced depending on the questions. In this paper, low cost implementation method using DTW for the Web has been proposed. To cover the weakness of DTW, the searching space is reduced by the context. the searching space, depends on the specific questions, is chosen from interest searchable candidates. In the real implementation, the proposed method show better performance of both time and recognition rate.

The Relationship between Neurocognitive Functioning and Emotional Recognition in Chronic Schizophrenic Patients (만성 정신분열병 환자들의 인지 기능과 정서 인식 능력의 관련성)

  • Objective:The present study examined the association between basic neurocognitive functions and emotional recognition in chronic schizophrenia. Furthermore, to Investigate cognitive variable related to emotion recognition in Schizophrenia. Methods:Forty eight patients from the Yongin Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center were evaluated for neurocognitive function, and Emotional Recognition Test which has four subscales finding emotional clue, discriminating emotions, understanding emotional context and emotional capacity. Measures of neurocognitive functioning were selected based on hypothesized relationships to perception of emotion. These measures included:1) Letter Number Sequencing Test, a measure of working memory;2) Word Fluency and Block Design, a measure of executive function;3) Hopkins Verbal Learning Test-Korean version, a measure of verbal memory;4) Digit Span, a measure of immediate memory;5) Span of Apprehension Task, a measure of early visual processing, visual scanning;6) Continuous Performance Test, a measure of sustained attention functioning. Correlation analyses between specific neurocognitive measures and emotional recognition test were made. To examine the degree to which neurocognitive performance predicting emotional recognition, hierarchical regression analyses were also made. Results:Working memory, and verbal memory were closely related with emotional discrimination. Working memory, Span of Apprehension and Digit Span were closely related with contextual recognition. Among cognitive measures, Span of Apprehension, Working memory, Digit Span were most important variables in predicting emotional capacity. Conclusion:These results are relevant considering that emotional information processing depends, in part, on the abilities to scan the context and to use immediate working memory. These results indicated that mul- tifaceted cognitive training program added with Emotional Recognition Task(Cognitive Behavioral Rehabilitation Therapy added with Emotional Management Program) are promising.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the extendibility of division algorithm and Euclid algorithm for integers to algorithms for rational numbers based on word problems of fraction division. This study serviced to upgrade professional development of elementary and secondary mathematics teachers. In this paper, fractions were used as expressions of rational numbers, and they also represent rational numbers. According to discrete context and continuous context, and measurement division and partition division etc, divisibility was classified into two types; one is an abstract algebraic point of view and the other is a generalizing view which preserves division algorithms for integers. In the second view, we raised some contextual problems that can be used in school mathematics and then we discussed division algorithm, the greatest common divisor and the least common multiple, and Euclid algorithm for fractions.

  • This paper proposes a unified multi-modal input framework to interface the recognition engines such as IBM ViaVoice and Microsoft handwriting-recognition system with general window applications, particularly, for pen-input displays. As soon as user pushes a hardware button attached to the pin-input display with one hand, the current window of focus such as a internet search window and a word processor is overlaid with a transparent window covering the whole desktop; upon which user inputs handwriting with the other hand, without losing the focus of attention on working context. As well as freeform handwriting on this transparent input overlay as a sketch pad, the user can dictate some words and draw diagrams to communicate with the system.

  • In this paper, I suggest a discourse on some delicate relations between the philosophy and the cinema, or between the visualizing philosophical reflection and the contemplating cinematic imagination. In this context, G. Deleuze is not a simple philosopher and Director Hong, not a director. Each is a kind of metonymy. Deleuzean style of philosophizing asks for Hong's nomadic style of producing cinema. and of course in the same manner, the latter asks for the former. The latter visualizes the speculative empiricism of the former, the former crystalizes the visual esthetics of the latter. To speak with Deleuzean vocabularies, it is not possible for the State Apparatus to capture the diverse works of director Hong. Because each of them is a kind of War Machine which always slips from every tackle of State Apparatus. Deleuzean key word 'genetic becomming' is a main concept of Hong's works. The point is not to dispose the theses 'becomming' of his works in the line of series but to release them in the line of rupture. My paper would show the sharp ridicules director Hong had poured on the conservative circle of the cinema in the context of Deleuzean nomadology.

Syntactic and Semantic Disambiguation for Interpretation of Numerals in the Information Retrieval (정보 검색을 위한 숫자의 해석에 관한 구문적.의미적 판별 기법)

  • Natural language processing is necessary in order to efficiently perform filtering tremendous information produced in information retrieval of world wide web. This paper suggested an algorithm for meaning of numerals in the text. The algorithm for meaning of numerals utilized context-free grammars with the chart parsing technique, interpreted affixes connected with the numerals and was designed to disambiguate their meanings systematically supported by the n-gram based words. And the algorithm was designed to use POS (part-of-speech) taggers, to automatically recognize restriction conditions of trigram words, and to gradually disambiguate the meaning of the numerals. This research performed experiment for the suggested system of the numeral interpretation. The result showed that the frequency-proportional method recognized the numerals with 86.3% accuracy and the condition-proportional method with 82.8% accuracy.

Impact of Product and Service Quality on Customer Surprise and Delight, Revisit, and SNS WOM Intention in Korea Franchise Foodservice Context: Focusing on Chinese Perspective (프랜차이즈 외식업의 제품 품질과 서비스 품질이 고객 서프라이즈, 감동, 재방문 의도 및 SNS 구전에 미치는 영향: 한국 방문 경험 중국인을 대상으로)

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate the impact of product and service quality on customer surprise and delight, revisit intention, and SNS word-of-mouth (WOM) intention in the context of franchise restaurants in Korea, focusing on Chinese tourists' experiences. This analysis provides strategic insights into improving customer experiences and driving positive behavioral outcomes within the franchise foodservice sector. Research Design and Methodology: Data were collected from 395 Chinese tourists who visited Korean franchise restaurants using a self-administered questionnaire approach and analyzed with SmartPLS 4.0. Reliability, convergent and discriminant validity were assessed using measurement model. Hypotheses were tested using structural equation model. Results: This study verified that customer's service experience affects customer surprise and delight, which in turn is an important factor in increasing revisit intention and SNS WOM and supports the SOR framework that explains these relationships. In other words, this study presented a model that expands the traditional service quality → customer satisfaction → behavioral intention framework by including surprise and delight. The study also revealed that both product quality and service quality positively influence customer delight. Furthermore, customer surprise and delight significantly influence revisit intention and SNS WOM. The findings suggest that enhancing product and service quality can lead to higher levels of customer surprise and delight and greater likelihood of revisits and positive online feedback.

A Study on Performance Evaluation of Hidden Markov Network Speech Recognition System (Hidden Markov Network 음성인식 시스템의 성능평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we carried out the performance evaluation of HM-Net(Hidden Markov Network) speech recognition system for Korean speech databases. We adopted to construct acoustic models using the HM-Nets modified by HMMs(Hidden Markov Models), which are widely used as the statistical modeling methods. HM-Nets are carried out the state splitting for contextual and temporal domain by PDT-SSS(Phonetic Decision Tree-based Successive State Splitting) algorithm, which is modified the original SSS algorithm. Especially it adopted the phonetic decision tree to effectively express the context information not appear in training speech data on contextual domain state splitting. In case of temporal domain state splitting, to effectively represent information of each phoneme maintenance in the state splitting is carried out, and then the optimal model network of triphone types are constructed by in the parameter. Speech recognition was performed using the one-pass Viterbi beam search algorithm with phone-pair/word-pair grammar for phoneme/word recognition, respectively and using the multi-pass search algorithm with n-gram language models for sentence recognition. The tree-structured lexicon was used in order to decrease the number of nodes by sharing the same prefixes among words. In this paper, the performance evaluation of HM-Net speech recognition system is carried out for various recognition conditions. Through the experiments, we verified that it has very superior recognition performance compared with the previous introduced recognition system.

  • With the popularization of a World Wide Web (WWW), the quantity of web information has been increased. Therefore, an efficient searching system is needed to offer the exact result of diverse Information to user. Due to this reason, it is important to extract and analysis of user requirements in the distributed information environment. The conventional searching method used the only keyword for the web searching. However, the searching method proposed in this paper adds the context information of keyword for the effective searching. In addition, this searching method extracts keywords by the new keyword extraction method proposed in this paper and it executes the web searching based on a keyword mining profile generated by the extracted keywords. Unlike the conventional searching method which searched for information by a representative word, this searching method proposed in this paper is much more efficient and exact. This is because this searching method proposed in this paper is searched by the example based query included content information as well as a representative word. Moreover, this searching method makes a domain keyword list in order to perform search quietly. The domain keyword is a representative word of a special domain. The performance of the proposed algorithm is analyzed by a series of experiments to identify its various characteristic.
