20-30대 남녀의 결혼제도 인식과 결혼의향 (Perceptions of and willingness for marriage among people in their 20's and 30's)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the perceptions of and willingness for marriage among people in their 20s and 30s. The data came from the Korean General Social Survey of the Survey Research Center at Sungkyunkwan University. The sample data set included 292 men and women aged 20 to 39. The major findings are as follows. First, gender, satisfaction with one's household economic conditions, and significantly affect the individuals' perceptions of marriage. The results show that the men's education level, value of family succession, value of gender roles, and value of parents' role are the significant factors that affect their perceptions of marriage. In the case of the women's perceptions of marriage, the significant factors are their household economic conditions, value of family succession, value of gender roles, and value of childbirth. Second, the willingness for marriage among unmarried people is decided by age, education level, whether one has an income or not, satisfaction with one's household economic conditions, and value of one's childbirth. Overall, gender is the most significant factor that affects the perceptions of marriage among all the other variables. However, men's and women's values of gender roles and family succession, respectively, both significantly affect their perceptions of marriage but show opposite coefficient directions. Another finding shows that unmarried people who are willing to marry tend not to have children. This implies that they do not perceive the decision on having a child as a necessary factor behind marriage decisions.

2·30대 저체중 여성의 상의 치수체계 제안 (A Suggestion of the Size-designation for the Underweight Women's Tops in their 20s-30s)

  • This study helps out-size consumers purchase tops and improve the fitness of unde-weight women in their 20s-30s and by the establishment of a size system. The criteria for subjects in this study were those under 18.5($kg/m^2$) of the BMI; subsequently, a total of 233 females were enrolled. The results were: First, the nominal size for female adult formal dress suggested by the KS standard is suggested in 20 sections. The sections for underweight women are 7, (34 women who accounted for 14.59% out of 233 in total). The cover efficiency was 2.08% (which was very low). Second, tests showed that the average difference between the reference part body size of 7 sections for underweight women in the normal size section of bust cir.- hip cir.- height, and KS standard, waist cir. among reference sizes was rather small in the case of a nominal size for long height. Therefore, there is a significant difference with size in the KS standard and a sizing system proven improper for underweight woman. Third, the basic body sizes and reference body sizes were different due to the size system establishment according to measurements of underweight subjects. The research findings suggest that it is necessary to understand underweight types according to bust girth and hip girth sizes that represent basic sizes as well as to design patterns that consider the underweight body shape characteristics when women's tops are designed.

기혼 여성들의 첫 출산시기와 간격 조절: 사회경제적 특성에 따른 차이 (Analysis of How Married Women Adjust Timing of First Birth and Birth Interval : Focusing on Socio-Economic Characteristics)

  • This study examined the birth timing and the birth interval for married women, focusing on their employment status. Relying on 2005 National Survey of Marriage and Fertility, three different groups were selected: those who have no child until five years after marriage; those who gave birth for the first child within three years; those who gave birth for the second child within three years. Results show that married women who have temporary jobs tend to have longer period of having no child than housewives. In contrast, among those who have the second child within three years, married women who have temporary jobs tend to have shorter birth interval for their second child than housewives. Women in their 20s are more likely to have shorter period of time to have the first child and shorter interval for the second child than those in their 30s. Job security for married women, maternity leave for childbirth and childcare, and family-friendly environment should be strengthened to increase the fertility level by shortening the timing of having the first child and the birth interval.

  • Through the recognition and the satisfaction of the lower part of the women body from age 30 to age 49 we studied 211 respondents of the women to analyze what lower part shape they want. The results are as follows. 1. The recognition of the lower Part showed certain degrees of differences in waist girth, abdomen girth, and weight according to the age. 2. The female of the 40s showed higher satisfaction of their lower part considering that of the 30s 3. The cluster analysis of the lower part shape of the 30s and 40s was classified into 5 types.

A Study on Kazakh Women's Consumer Behavior

  • Purpose - This paper examines Kazakh women's spending patterns and buying behavior. Research design, data, and methodology - After thoroughly reviewing the related literature on consumer behavior in general, and female consumer behavior in particular, both questionnaires and in-depth personal interviews were used to collect data from 400 Kazakh women consumers equally chosen from the age groups 20-30, 30-40, 40-50, and above 50. Results - A stratified and convenient sample was employed, and the selected five hypotheses were proved using the Karl Pearson Coefficient of Correlation. Related to spending patterns, 40 and 35 percent of the 20-30 and 30-40 age groups, respectively, of Kazakh women spend their incomes on personal items, as against 30 percent from both the 40-50 and 50 and above age groups. Twenty-five and 35 percent of the 40-50 and 50 and above age group, respectively, take decisions based on product quality, whereas this percentage is at its mite in the below 40 age group. Conclusions - The buying behavior of Kazakh women consumers is revealed; the results proffer useful background information to formulate marketing strategies.

3차원 가상착의와 실제착의를 통한 비만여성의 바지 맞음새 비교 (Comparison on the Pants Fitting for Obese Women between 3D Virtual Garment and Real Garment)

  • A study using 3D virtual garment simulation is carried out for the evaluation and application on the pants fit for obese women in their age of 20s and 30s. The results are as follows; 5 obese women in their 20s and 30s were selected for the testing 3D body. They showed no significant differences in all items, comparing with the data of 5th Size Korea body dimensions. The average waist circumstance of the subjects' 3D body dimensions was 87.0cm, hip circumstance was 102.4cm, BMI was $27.1kg/m^2$, and their obese body types had similar mean values. Based on the detailed design of ready made pants and the study results of 20~30s obese women preference for pants design, pants of straight silhouette and semi-tight fit which have waist line lowered, no front dart and one back dart, were manufactured with 100% black cotton and cotton spandex mixed fabrics. When comparing the appearances between real garment and virtual garment, the average of the real garment with 100% cotton was 3.70 and the virtual garment was 4.05. The average of real garment with cotton spandex mixed fabrics was 3.75 and the virtual garment was 4.06. Therefore, the average of virtual garment was highly evaluated. When comparing the results of evaluating the appearance, there was no significant difference caused by materials between real garment and virtual garment. The expression for the ease of virtual garment and real garment was also similar for good evaluation. Thus, 3D virtual garment simulation did positively prove its reliability and effect.

분만경험과 산후 우울이 출산 후 여성의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Childbirth Experience and Postpartum Depression on Quality of Life in Women after Birth)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify influence of childbirth experience and postpartum depression on quality of life in women after birth. Methods: Two hundred and eleven postpartum women were asked to complete the questionnaires on their childbirth experience during their admission and on their postpartum depression and quality of life between one to three weeks after birth. Initial data were collected from February 1 to May 30, 2011 at two obstetric hospitals in Busan, Korea. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The women's childbirth experience and postpartum depression were identified as factors influencing quality of life after birth. The model explained 50% of the variables. Conclusion: Results suggest that childbirth educators should include strategies to increase a positive childbirth experience and to decrease postpartum depression in their education programs in order to improve women's quality of life.

부부역할과 여성의 결혼만족도 : 연령범주별 분석 (Conjugal Role Sharing on Women's Marital Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 한국여성정책연구원에 의해 수집된 2008년도 여성가족패널 자료를 활용하여, 여성의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 분석하였다. 유배우 기혼여성을 대상으로, 임금노동분담과 가사노동분담 및 여가공유활동 등의 다차원적 부부역할에 주목하고, 여성의 성역할 태도 및 성장기 부모 간 친밀도와 여타 인구학적 변인을 고려하였다. 연령에 따른 생애발달단계의 특성과 출생집단별 경험의 차이를 고려하고자 각 연령대별로 표본을 나누어 분석하였는데, 이는 변수간의 연관성이 연령대에 따라 상이하게 혹은 유사하게 나타나는지를 관찰하고자 함이다. 관계만족도와 결혼행복도로 측정된 두 변수로써 결혼만족도를 개념화하고 관련변수들을 분석한 결과, 성장기 부모의 친밀도가 자녀의 결혼만족도와 정적인 연관성을 보이면서 세대 간 전이 가능성을 예시하였다. 임금노동차원에서 결혼행복도와의 관련성에서는 30-50대에서 남편홑벌이 가정의 아내가 가장 행복한 것으로 나타났고 다음이 맞벌이 여성이지만, 관계만족도와의 연관성에서는 40대에서 맞벌이 여성이 남편과의 관계에 가장 만족하고 다음이 남편홑벌이 가정의 아내로 나타나면서 50대 여성과 차별화된다. 가사분담 차원에서는 30-50대 여성들에서 자신의 부담이 줄어들수록, 결혼행복도 및 관계만족도가 높다. 그런데 가사분담의 평등성 자체의 영향력을 확인할 수 있었던 것은, 30대 연령층의 경우 관계만족도와의 연관성에 관해서뿐이다. 부부가 함께 공유하는 여가활동이 많을수록 결혼행복도 및 관계만족도가 높아서, 여가활동을 함께 해야 할 필요성이 강력히 제시된다. 나이든 연령대일수록 건강 및 가족경제상황을 좋지 않은 것으로 인식하고 여가공유활동의 빈도가 낮으며 결혼만족도가 낮다. 이는 연령이나 결혼기간의 경과에도 불구하고 만족스러운 결혼생활을 유지하기 위해서, 건강과 경제상황 및 여가공유활동 등의 여타 여건들을 유지하고 개선하기 위한 행동적 노력이 필요함을 시사한다. 이와 같은 개인적 노력과 더불어 친가족적 기업문화와 사회정책 등을 통한 지원이 함께 할 때, 가족과 사회 간의 선순환으로 이어질 것이다.

인천에 거주하는 도시 여성의 비만도와 자신의 체형에 대한 인식 (A Study on Obesity Rate and Self-evaluated Body Shape of Women Living in Inchon)

  • To compare actual obesity rate and self-evaluated body shape, 651 women living in Inchon were participated in the measurement of anthropometric indices and in the survey by questionnaire. Mean RBW and BMI were in normal range except the girl in 13-15 years. RBW and BMI of the women in 40s and 50s were significantly higher than those in women in younger ages(p<0.001). Triceps skinfold thickness of the subjects were not significantly different. Significantly low DRBW in teenagers and women in 20s showed that their desire to reduce body weight were very strong. Over the half of the subjects thought they were too heavy and unsatisfied at their body shapes. The parts of the body desired to remove extra fat were the waist & abdomen in women over 30s and the thigh & legs in teenagers. It is thought that women, especially in 10s and 20s need the education about the appropriate evaluation of body shape and also need the nutrition education about the deteriorated influence of underweight on health.

연령대로 본 충동구매, 추구혜택, 정보원 선택에 따른 화장품 구매 행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Purchasing Patterns of Cosmetics According to Impulse Shopping, Benefits Sought and Information Source of Female Consumers)

  • The purposes of this study were to understand the buying patterns of adult women according to impulse shopping, benefits sought, and selecting information sources. This subjects of this study were 509 adult women from the age 20's to the age of 40's. This data were analyzed by using factor analysis multi regression analysis, analysis of variance, Scheffe' test. The results of this study were outlined as follow: 1. Differences among ages (the 20's, the 30's, and the 40's) in impulse shopping were as follow: The 30's bought more cosmetics to change their mood compared to the 20's or the 40's, and the 20's and the 30's bought more cosmetics matching to their images compared to the 40's. 2. From the aspects of benefits sought, the 20's and the 30's were more seriously consider the fame of brands compared to the 40's, showing they were different from the 40's. 3. From the aspects of selecting information sources about cosmetics, the 20's were more actively utilizing both human information sources and non-human information sources compared to the 30's and the 40's.
