The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the willingness to marriage initiation(WMI) among the never married in their 30s. In particular, we examine the effect of financial resources on the WMI. A data set from the National Survey of Marriage and Childbirth (2009 Wave) were analyzed. We find that the effect of financial resources on the WMI are different by gender. Home ownership is a statistically significant factor in the logistic regression model for men, but not in the model for women. Women with higher earnings are more likely to be single and unemployed men are more likely to be single than employed men. In the Korean societal contexts, these findings support the bi-standard of financial resources between male and female in the marriage market.
To examine the effects of an educational program with a purpose of reducing symptoms and ailments of women's premenstrual syndrome on the basis of the Self-care theory of Orem, a stimulation was carried out by using pre-and post-design of non-equity control group after choosing both an experimental group of 62 persons and a control group of 62 persons among 497 industrial women. This study was conducted from June 20, 1996 to September 30, 1996. Meantime, an education was provided for the experimental group of 62 persons for 8 weeks but no education for the control group of 62 persons. Study matters are general and obstetric characteristics, knowledge and self-care behavior and premenstrual syndrome from questionnaires with 497 industrial women, pre and post questionnaires with the control group of 62 persons and the questionnaires collected before and after providing an education for the experimental group of 62 persons, these matters were used as research data for this study and analyzed by means of the SAS program. As a result, it was shown that the scores of 497 industrial women's knowledge by age were the highest 26.36 for 20 to 29 year old women, then 25.58 for 30 to 39 year old women and 25.74 for less 19 year old women. The performance scores of their self-care behavior by age were the highest 39.17 for 30 to 39 year old women, 35.72 for 20 to 29 year old women and 32.85 for less 19 year old women, which means that the older the women are, the higher the performance degree is(p<0.01). And the scores of their premenstrual syndrome by age were 2.80 for less 19 year old women, 2.18 for 20 to 29 year old women and 2.00 for 30 to 39 year old women. Women in their teens and twenties showed more serious symptoms and ailments of premenstrual syndrome than women in their thirties(p<0.01). For the experimental group of 62 persons who received the educational program, both the knowledge of premenstrual syndrome and the degree of self-care behavior were remarkably improved(p<0.01), respectively and the symptoms and ailments of premenstrual syndrome were also remarkably reduced(p<0.01), while the control group showed no change in the knowledge, self-care behavior, and symptoms and ailments of premenstrual syndrome. The above results demonstrated that educational program based on the Self-care theory of Orem is an effective intervention to reduce the symptoms and ailments of premenstrual syndrome. The effects of the study can be generalized by extending the application in which various age groups and professional and social environments are considered together with a research to evaluate the long-term effects of this educational program. Accordingly, it is expected that it can possible not only to provide help for the women by actually applying the program to practical areas for improvement of women's health but also to suggest plans to activate it as one of health education areas.
The purpose of this study was to examine how life-changes after divorce, individual resources, and interpersonal resources affect post-divorce adjustment. Especially it focuses on gender differences. Data were collected from 114 divorced men and 112 divorced women in their 20s and 30s with the inclusion criteria of 1) having hen divorced for at least 6 months but less than 5 years, and 2) not having remarried after divorce. AH divorced men and women were interviewed with self-report questionnaires. The analysis included frequencies, means, t-test, crosstabs, and hierarchical multiple regression models. The major findings were as follows. 1) Divorced women were better adjusted than divorced men. 2) Fnancial satisfaction and health problems were important factors for both divorced men and women. 3) There were gender differences in the variables that affected post-divorce adjustment. Social support and significant others' attitude toward divorce influenced post-divorce adjustment for divorced men. For divorced women, negative change in financial circumstances, their own attitude toward divorce and divorce initiation found significant. This study showed that there were gender differences in the factors affecting Post)divorce adjustment. The findings of this study suggest that a program for supporting divorced men and women should consider gender differences.

This study aims to provide basic information on the changes in lower body measurements and shapes of women in their 20s for developing better fitting slacks patterns and a more applicable sizing system that can be widely utilized for women of all ages. Factor and cluster analysis were performed on 1,360 women's direct measurement data within the age group from the 5th (2004) and 7th (2015) Korean Human Body Measurement Investigation. The factor analysis identified four factors and explained 82.54% of the total variance; Factor 1, horizontal measurements of lower body; Factor 2, vertical lengths of lower body; Factor 3, measurements of leg and hip areas; Factor 4, lengths of hip and crotch areas. The cluster analysis categorized the lower body shapes of each age group into four shapes; Shape 1, a petite lower body with short legs; Shape 2, a long lower body with medium built; Shape 3, an obese abdomen and legs; Shape 4, a short and slim lower body. Shape 4 (36.5%), Shape 2 (31.2%), Shape 1 (27.8%), and Shape 3 (4.5%) were placed in the order of frequency from the highest to lowest among all the age groups. The findings of this study showed gradual changes in the lower body measurements and shapes of women in their 20s and relevant physical features of each age group. They can be utilized for developing women's slacks patterns with better fitting and more comfort.
Korean nail-beauty is mainly concentrated on women in their 20s and 40s. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structure and characteristics of nails based on the literature and to measure the nail size of adult women in their 20s to 40s as an empirical study. The purpose of this study is to utilize the measurement results as basic data for the standardization of nail size through comparative study with previous studies. For the study method, 150 (50 for each age group) adult female in 20 ~ 40 years with cuticle removed for 30 days from September 17 to October 16, 2017 were measured. As the result, As a result of measurements, the width of the nail was almost similar to that of the researcher. However, the thumb was 1.01 mm longer than the results of the previous researchers. The index nail was 1.12 mm longer, the middle nail was 0.82 mm longer, and the ring nail was 1.3 mm longer than the previous study.

The purpose of this study is to provide for the basic data useful to the development of a quality brassiere featuring a good wearing feeling and an effect of reinstating and correcting breast shape. For this purpose, 220 adult women aged between 20 and 59 were sampled to survey their perceived and actual breast shapes. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. Most adult women correctly perceive the changes of their breast shapes as they become older. However, the younger women tend to evaluate their breast as larger than their actual sizes, being more dissatisfied with their breast shapes than older women, while wanting their constitution to be more high and slim. In short, there is a little difference between their perceived and actual breast shapes. 2. The breast shape perceived most by the adult women is "droopy type I"(37.7%), followed by "conical type"(21.8%), "flat type"(16.8%), "semi-circular"(10.8%), "droopy type II"(8.6%) and "extruded type"(5.0%) in their order. The younger women tend to perceive their breasts as "flat", "conical" or "semi-circular", while the older women tend to perceive their breasts as "droopy". 3. According to the increase of age, the items of height were decreased and items of width, depth, circumference and length were increased, being obser and breast point were drooped. so volume and bottom area of breast of 40ㆍ50's women's age group were larger than 20?30's women's age group and breast point width of 40ㆍ50's women was being wider by increase of interior dimensions of breast.
The study examines the current state of designer shoe brands, which are gaining a great deal of popularity in the footwear market, and offer bold designs that cannot be found in typical ready-made shoes. Women in their 20's and 30's who are sensitive to fashion are classified into sub-groups based on fashion leadership, and comparative analyses conducted among the sub-groups on selection criteria of designer shoe brands, intention of purchase and satisfaction according to fashion leadership. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted of women residing in Seoul and the Capital Area, and 371 questionnaires were used for final data analyses. As a result of the study, the following conclusions were reached. For satisfaction with the purchase of designer shoe brands according to fashion leadership among sub-groups, it was found that the satisfaction with the purchase of designer shoe brands is higher among fashion laggards than among fashion leaders, dual fashion leaders and fashion followers. Dual fashion leaders and fashion leaders showed the highest purchase satisfaction in terms of color, size, material and durability.
This research was carried out on women in their 20s and 30s who have overweight lower body. The subjects selected for this study were women a Rohrer index of 1.6 or higher, a waist circumference 78.5cm to 83.5cm, and a lower drop of at least 18cm. The aim is to propose a prototype of bi-stretch pants meeting demands for both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Various clothing patterns ease amount of the waist and hip circumferences and crotch depths and were developed. They had different crotch widths, and center back line angles. The results showed that the best pants patterns were ease 1cm to the total hip circumference. The front hip circumference was H/4-0.5cm, and the back hip circumference was H/4+1cm. The front crotch width was H/20+1cm, the back crotch width was H/10+3cm. No additional ease was given to the total waistline. The front waist circumference was W/4+0.5cm. The back waist circumference was W/4-0.5cm. The knee circumference was set at 44cm, the pant hem width was set at 36cm, and the pant length was set at 100cm-5cm. The findings of this research can be used as basic data for stretch pants that fit the abdomen, hips, and thighs for women in their 20s and 30s with overweight lower body.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hairstyle, hair length, and hair color on women's professional image. The quasi-experimental method by a $2{\times}3{\times}3\;(hairstyle\;{\times}\;hair length\;{\times}\;hair color)$ factorial design was used. Subjects were 343 women in Seoul, Korea. The bright brown hair was perceived to be less professional than the black and the dark brown. The straight hair was evaluated to be more professional than the wavy hair in the short and the medium length hair, whereas the wavy conveyed a higher professionalism than the straight style in long hair. The shorter the hair was, the more professional the image was. Among 18 stimuli, the short straight hair in black was evaluated to have the highest in professional image, and the long straight hair in bright brown was the lowest. Perceivers in their 40's and 50's evaluated the bright brown hair to be more professional than those in their 10's to 30's did. The present findings provide that hairstyle, hair length, and hair color are significant cues when perceiving women's professional image.
This study aims to suggest the direction for improving the mental health of married women by analyzing the relationship between married women's life stress, life satisfaction, self-elasticity, and coping stances. For this study, 200 married women in their 30s~60s living in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do were surveyed on January 2~15, 2020, and the results were analyzed using multiple regression and regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was found that the main causes of life stress felt by married women were economic problems, relationships with their children, and conflict between mother in law and daughter in law. By analyzing the relationship with life satisfaction, it turned out that life stress had a relationship with life satisfaction, which affected the decline in their life satisfaction. In addition, it was verified that the self-elasticity and coping stances had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between the life stress and life satisfaction of married women. Accordingly, improving self-elasticity and coping stances will likely reduce the life stress of married women and boost their life satisfaction.
