많은 무선기술이 개발되었지만, 그 기술들은 적용사례와 대역폭에서 한계를 가지고 있다. WLAN과 3G 네트워크는 무선통신을 도와주기 위한 플랫폼으로 나왔다. 그러나 서로 다른 네트워크 터미널의 이동성은 여러 리스크를 발생시킨다. 통신 보안과 효과적인 증명이 실행되어야 한다. 이 논문의 주제는 통합된 WLAN/3G 네트워크에 관한 증명방법의 분석에 있다.

The paper analyzes the sum spectral efficiency (SE) for a heterogeneous cellular network (HetNet) which has the backhaul, provided with wireless full-duplex massive multiple-input multiple-out (MIMO) with hardware distortions. We derive approximate expressions to obtain the uplink/downlink sum SE of the backhaul. The analytic results have been shown to be exact when compared to Monte Carlo simulations. From the analysis, it is shown that the desired signal and the hardware distortion noise have the same order. The sum SE generally improves when the number of receive antennas increases but degrades when the hardware quality reduces. A sum SE performance ceiling is introduced by the hardware quality level.

Information-centric networks operate under the assumption that all network components have built-in caching capabilities. Integrating the caching strategies of information centric networking (ICN) with wireless virtualization improves the gain of virtual infrastructure content caching. In this paper, we propose a framework for software-defined information centric virtualized wireless device-to-device (D2D) networks. Enabling D2D communications in virtualized ICN increases the spectral efficiency due to reuse and proximity gains while the software-defined network (SDN) as a platform also simplifies the computational overhead. In this framework, we propose a joint virtual resource and cache allocation solution for latency-sensitive applications in the next-generation cellular networks. As the formulated problem is NP-hard, we design low-complexity heuristic algorithms which are intuitive and efficient. In our proposed framework, different services can share a pool of infrastructure items. We evaluate our proposed framework and algorithm through extensive simulations. The results demonstrate significant improvements in terms of visiting latency, end user QoE, InP resource utilization and MVNO utility gain.

Since the radio spectrum is limited, future wireless system will have micro cellular architecture in order to provide multimedia traffic services on personal communicatons network. The small coverage area of micro cellular systems results in frequent hadnoffs and location updates. We focuse on network load and terminal power due to frequent location updates and propose a location tracking scheme using embedded-pager PCS terminals. The proposed scheme is expected to minimize theconsumption of PCS terminal powr and improve the receiving rate of callee because of the power saving mechanism and the embedded-pager PCS terminal. This paper proposes signaling flows among the network elements for the proposed location tracking scheme. The signaling flows are accomodated to not only the existed network architectures but alsothe ATM backbone network arcitecture. To verify the signaling flows, we used petri-Net model. The resutls show that the signaling flows are suitable to our proposed location tracking scheme.

최근 초고속 네트워크 인프라가 빠른 속도로 발전하고 PDA, 핸드폰 등 무선 단말의 사용이 증대됨에 따라 이들 유 무선 망을 통합하고 연동하는 다양한 응용 서비스가 대두되고 있다. 또한 기존의 가전기기들이 디지털화 되고 네트워크로 연동됨으로써 인터넷 정보가전기기로 진화되고 있다. 따라서 이들 기기들을 댁내에서 이더넷, 전력선, 전화선 및 IEEE1394로 연결함으로써 기기들 상호 간에 데이터 전송과 공유를 가능케 하여 다양한 서비스를 제공하고자 하는 홈 네트워크의 구축이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그리고 홈 네트워크와 초고속 네트워크 인프라를 연동하여 인터넷상에서 정보가전기기들을 제어하고 모니터링 하는 인터넷 정보가전에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 효과적으로 유 무선 통신망을 결합하여 댁내 외에서 홈 네트워크로 연결된 각 정보가전기기들에 접근하고 제어하는 무선 통합 홈 서버를 설계 구축한다. 또한 정보가전기기 시뮬레이터를 만들어 실제 동작을 테스트해 본다.

데이타 및 음성 등의 통신에서 무선 통신의 비중은 날로 증가하고 있다. 그러나 무선 통신에서는 유선통신에 비해 여러 가지 자원의 제약을 받는다. 컴퓨터, PDA, 이동통신기기 등 급격히 증가하는 무선 단말기의 증가에 따른 통신량 수요를 충족하기위해 제한된 자원을 보다 효율적으로 사용해야 한다. 무선 통신에 있어 효율성이 필요한 자원중의 하나가 주파수 이다. 효율적 주파수 사용을 위한 주파수 할당 문제에 관한 연구는 현재 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 주파수 할당 문제가 NP-Complete의 어려운 문제로 실험적 연구를 통한 접근과 함께 이에 대한 이론적 이해 또한 필요하다. 주파수 할당 문제의 이론적 연구 중 셀룰러 위상구조에서의 크로마틱 대역폭 문제의 하한 값이 $O(k^2)$로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 셀룰러 위상구조에서의 크로마틱 대역폭 주파수 할당 문제의 하한 값으로 기존에 알려진 $O(k^2)$보다 향상된 하한 값 $O(k^3)$을 제시하여, 주파수 할당 문제의 보다 정확한 이론적 이해를 제시하였다.

무선 환경에서의 이동 중 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스 제공에 대한 수요가 증가하면서 (Wireless Broadband internet) 시스템과 같은 MBWA (Mobile Broadband Wireless Access) 기술에 대한 관심이 점차 증가하고 있다. 이러한 WiBro 시스템은 기존의 셀룰라(Cellular) 시스템 기반의 이동 통신망과는 달리 기본적으로 IP 기반의 백본 네트워크로 구성될 것이며 ALL-lP로의 망 진화의 흐름에 따라서 궁극적으로는 IPv6 (IP version six) 기반의 백본 네트워크로 도입될 것이다. 이와 같은 무선 이동 환경에서는 WiBro 시스템의 물리 계층이나 매체 접근 제어 계층에서의 이동성 지원 방안뿐만 아니라 네트워크 계층에서의 이동성 지원 프로토콜 지원이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IPv6 기반의 WiBro 시스템에서 단말의 서브넷 (Subnet) 간 핸드오버 성능을 향상시키기 위한 고속 핸드오버 방안을 제안하고 모의실험을 통해서 제안한 메카니즘 (Mechanism)이 서브넷 간 핸드오버 시 발생할 수 있는 데이터 유실 문제와 핸드오버 지연 발생 문제 등을 개선할 수 있다는 것을 보인다.

The proliferation of wireless local area networks (WLANs) offering high data rate in hot spot area have spurred the demand for possible WLANs and third-generation (3G) cellular network integration solutions as the initiative step towards 4G systems. This paper provides a novel architecture for seamless location-aware integration of WLANs into 3G cellular networks and also an analysis for the efficient handover techniques. We introduce location as a key context in secure roaming mechanism for context-aware interworking in 4G systems. The fast secure roaming with location-aware authentication is implemented at an entity called location-aware service (LAS) broker that utilizes the concepts of direction of user and pre-warming zone. The location-ware interworking architecture supports seamless roaming services among heterogeneous wireless networks including WLANs, wireless metropolitan area networks (WMANs), and 3G cellular networks. This paper also includes a description of procedures needed to implement efficient mobility and location management. We show how the LAS broker with pre-warming and context transfer can obtain significant lower latency in the vertical handover.

본 논문에서는 2G/3G/4G의 이동통신 기술을 기업에 적용하는 Femtocell을 이용해서 기업 무선망을 구축하는 환경을 목표로 한다. 이때 인터넷서비스사업자 혹은 기업이 이동통신망 기반의 응용 서비스를 쉽게 만들 수 있는 '개방형 무선망 Application Programming Interface(API)'를 기업향 Peer-to-Peer 서비스에 적용하는 방안에 대하여 제안한다. 이를 통해서 언제 어디서든 어떠한 기기를 통해서도 일관된 기업 서비스를 보다 단순화된 네트워 환경에서 향상된 서비스 품질과 함께 제공할 수 있다. 제안한 방안은 성능 개선을 평가하기 위하여, 대표적인 분산형 P2P 서비스인 Skype와 정성적인 성능 비교를 수행하였으며, 이를 통해서 보다 적은 개수의 서버와 절차를 지원하면서도 보다 향상된 서비스 품질을 제공하는 것을 확인 하였다.

In this paper, we describe a development of a Bluetooth Access Point for the WAN connection of home network devices. Especially, users can access the PSTN at home instead of expensive digital cellular network through the AP, using the 'one-phone', which is the Bluetooth enabled cellular phone. The simultaneous benchmark test about telephone service and LAN access service shows the perfect compatibility and reasonable performance of the access point. The one-phone service can become a convergence of wired and wireless communication through the AP.
