IV와 HIV 절연 전선용 PVC 절연재료의 수명 예측 (Lifetime Prediction on PVC Insulation Material for IV and HIV Insulated Wire)

  • Weight and elongation changes of IV and HIV insulations were measured simultaneously at several given temperature of $80^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$ and $100^{\circ}C$. And the lifetime was predicted using the Arrhenius model. Based on the initial weight values, a 50% elongation reduction was seen at 6.96% for the IV insulation and 10.29% for the HIV insulation. The activation energy from the slope of the lifetime regression equation was calculated as 92.895 kJ/mol(0.9632 eV) for the IV insulation and 95.213 kJ/mol(0.9873 eV) for the HIV insulation. Also, the expected lifetime at the operating temperature of $30^{\circ}C$ to $90^{\circ}C$ is 2.02 to 94.32 years, and longer lifetime was predicted on HIV insulated wires than on IV insulated wires. As a result, it was found that the thermal characteristics of the HIV insulated wires were about 12.44% better than those of IV insulated wires under the same conditions of use.

스프링 백본과 와이어를 이용한 3자유도 내시경 (3DOF Endoscope with Spring Backbone and Wires)

  • This work proposes structure of spring backbone micro endoscope. For effective surgery in narrow and limited space, many manipulators are developing that different to existed structure. This device can move like elephant nose or snake unlike the existing robots. For this motion, a mechanism that uses spring backbone and wires has been developed. The new type endoscope that has Z axis motion for spring structure, therefore it has 3 degree of freedom, two rotations and one linear motion. And new kinematics for backbone structure is proposed using simple geographic analysis. The Jacobian and stiffness modeling are also derived. Exact actuator sizing is determined using stiffness model. Finally, the proposed kinematics are verified by simulation and experiments.

4자유도 새로운 소프트 핑거 설계 (Design of a new 4-DOF soft finger mechanism)

  • A new soft finger mechanism using a spring as a backbone is proposed in this work. It is a 4 DOF mechanism that consists of a spring and 3 cylinders, which behave like joints with 3 up-and-down rotations and 1 left-and-right rotation. To control each joint, cylinders have small holes in their cross-sectional areas, and wires of different length are penetrated into these holes. We can control each joint by pulling the corresponding wire. The forward kinematics is solved by using the geometry of mechanism. And the relationship (Jacobian) between the linear velocity of the wires and the joint angular rate is obtained. A virtual simulator is developed to test the validity of the kinematic model. In the experiment, first, the position control is conducted by tracking a given trajectory. Second, to verify the flexibility and safety, we show that the soft finger deflects in a safe manner, in spite of the collision with environment.

  • The optimization of the overhead contact lines according to the increased train speed is to design the low-sag-wire so that the pantograph can follow the vertical fluctuation of the catenary. Main factors for the overhead contact lines design include the span, dropper interval, movable bracket, vertical fluctuation of the catenary, tension, and wave propagation speed. In this paper, a model is proposed to improve the electric railway speed, and the speed improvement analysis technology is examined to ensure the stable and reliable electric railway. In addition, the effect between pantograph and catenary according to the speed improvement is quantitatively analyzed by using simulation.

  • In this paper, an intelligent notification system has been presented. The system operates on both wired and wireless internet. When a new message has been uploaded in a bulletin board systems(BBS) on HTTP web server, it sends the same message to their cellular phones of all members of a given group at the same time via SMS(Short Message Service). In addition, on reading SMS message, those who read them respond to a WAP server using pulling technique via wireless internet. Therefore, the HTTP server does know the members who did not read the message yet. Two different web servers, the HTTP server and the WAP server, running on a single system has been implemented. They share the single database which covers al1 related information about the BBS. The set of experiments shows that the notification system works well as we have expected Thus, we conclude that the proposed system that operates on both wired and wireless internet is the one of successful model for such environments.

  • The study presents the development of a cost-effective CAD/CAM system for metal moulds by use of personal computer. In the personal CAD/CAM system named DKSYS, metal moulds are defined by the operations of basic elements such as prism, pyramid and sphere, plane, rotational body, and surface elements including curved surface. The internal expression of shape elements in the computer is based on the wire model, which is a set of cross-sectional curves of the shape elements. With the addition of OMS system to CAD/CAM system the optimum cutting condition can be selected automatically. After programming NC information with the form definition and the optimum cutting condition, the metallic mould can be formed by transferring cutting information to CNC machine through DNC system. Using a computer for the above process, it is possible to increase the productivity and reduce the cost.

  • An efficient algorithm for clock skew optimization is proposed in this paper. It construct a new clock routing topology which is the generalized graph model while previous methods uses tree-structured routing topology. Edge-insertion technique is used in order to reduce the clock skew. A link-edge is inserted repeatedly between two sinks whose delay difference is large and the distance is small. As a result, the delay of a sink which has the longer delay is decreased and the clock skew is reduced. The proposed algorithm is implemented in C programming language. From the experimental results, we can get the total wire length minimization under the given skew bound.

  • The fully developed tubulent momentum and heat transfer induced by the square- ribbed roughness elements on both the inner and outer wall surfaces in the concentric annuli are studied analytically based on a modified turbulence model. Heat transfer coefficients for two conditions, i.e, a) inner wall heated as constant heat flux and outer wall insulated b) inner wall insulated and outer wall heated as constant heat flux, are investigated. The analytical results of the fluid flow are verified by experiment. The experiment is done with a pitot tube and a X-type hot wire anemometer to measure the time mean velocity profiles, zero shear stress positions, maximum velocity profiles and friction factors, and etc. The resulting momentum and heat transfer are discussed in terms of various parameters, such as the radius ratio, the relative roughness, the roughness density, Nusselt number and Prandtl number.

원심 압축기 임펠러 출구 유동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on impeller discharge flow of a centrifugal compressor)

  • This study describes the characteristics on impeller discharge flow of a centrifugal compressor with vaneless diffuser. Distorted flow at impeller exit was investigated by measuring of unsteady velocity fluctuation using hot-wire anemometer. As a result, a wake region appears near shroud side and moves to suction side and also to hub side as flow rate decreases. Jet, wake, and their boundary region which can be defined in jet-wake flow model are clearly observed at a high flow rate for the flow coefficient of 0.64, however, as flow rate decreases to the flow coefficient of 0.19, the classification of their regions disappears. Turbulence intensity also increases as flow rate decreases. Measurement error from uncertainty analysis is estimated about 4% at the flow coefficient of 0.19

  • In case, sensor system performs where it is difficult to access physically and it is in the poor environment, it is limited to communicate by using wire and installing power module in sensor system. In this paper, it suggests how information is obtained from telemetry sensor by means of inductive coupling without battery. Comparing with the telemetry sensor system of inductive coupling by the power supply, this system estimates the capacitance of sensor with high precision in using RLSE, not the process of modulation and demodulation. In order to activate this system, inductive model is used and in case of time variant parameter, telemetry sensor system which has got high rate in accuracy is implemented by using the forgetting factor.
