스테레오 스코픽에서 밝기 조정 정합 알고리즘 (The Algorithm of Brightness Control Disparity Matching in Stereoscopic)

  • This paper presents an efficient disparity matching, using sum of absolute difference (SAD) and dynamic programming (DP) algorithm. This algorithm makes use of one of area-based algorithm which is the absolute sum of the pixel difference corresponding to the window size. We use the information of the right eye brightness (B) and the left eye brightness to get an best matching results and apply the results to the left eye image using the window go by the brightness of the right eye image. This is that we can control the brightness. The major feature of this algorithm called SAD+DP+B is that although Root Mean Square (RMS) performance is slightly less than SAD+DP, due to comparing original image, its visual performance is increased drastically for matching the disparity map on account of its matching compared to SAD+DP. The simulation results demonstrate that the visual performance can be increased and the RMS is competitive with or slightly higher than SAD+DP.

스마트폰을 이용한 호흡 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Respiration Measurement Using a Smartphone)

  • In this paper, a respiration measurement method using FMCW signal for off-the-shelf smartphone is presented and investigated. The proposed algorithm transmits FMCW signal periodically instead of transmitting continuously so that one can reduce the power consumption from speaker in smartphone and the algorithm complexity. In order to eliminate the clicking noise generated when transmitting FMCW signal, Tukey window with ${\alpha}=0.01$ is applied to prevent the noise from being heard. An application program for Android OS which can transmit FMCW signal through speaker and record the reflected signals through MIC has been developed. Since the total duration of the signal transmission is set to 20msec per 1 second for the experiments, the power consumption can be decreased by 80% compared to the continuous transmission. It was confirmed that the clicking noise is inaudible as long as a smartphone is located at more than 10cm from ears. In the experiments on a sleeping child, the breathing signal of about 0.27Hz was measured.

  • 본 고에서는 쇼윈도 크기, 조명, 그리고 디스플레이간의 관계를 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 대구지역 쇼윈도의 평균공간 크기는 폭 341.3[cm], 높이 233.4[cm]였다. 광원은 할로겐램프, 형광등, 백열등의 순으로 사용되었고, 2가지 이상의 광원이 병용되며 국부조명법이 주로 사용되었다. 상점종사자들의 디스플레이와 조명에 대한 의식에서는 디스플레이의 필요성이나 중요성에 대해 잘 인식하고 있으나 조명효과가 상품의 색, 진열방법 등과 같은 다른 요소와 조화를 이루어야 한다는 점은 과소평가되고 있다.

  • 전기변색(electrochromism)은 전기화학적 산화, 환원 과정을 통해 가역적인 광학특성의 변화를 갖는 현상을 말하며, 이를 이용한 전기변색소자(electrochromic device)는 전력 소모가 적고 변색효율이 크다는 장점으로 인해 smart window, display, mirror 등에 응용될 수 있다. 전기변색소자는 구조상 투명 기판, 투명 전도체, 환원 착색 물질 (cathodic coloration material), 산화 착색 물질(anodic coloration material), 그리고 투명 이온 전도체로 구성된다. 일반적으로 투명 기판으로는 열적 안정성이 좋은 유리기판을 사용하여 window에 응용할 수 있는 장점이 있는 반면 다양한 형태를 갖는 소자를 제작하기에는 그 한계가 있다.

  • The visual perception tests were conducted to determine limits of luminance of a LCD TV from a viewpoint of glare. The results showed that people, who watch TV in their living room, perceive glare above $410\;cd/m^2$ at full window and $590\;cd/m^2$ at 1/25 window.

  • In this paper, we present a result of our study on how to construct a pilot MPACS (medical hic lure archiving and communication System) based on X -Window system. The proposed MPACS Is composed of image acquisition units, image archiving and processing units, display units, and all units are Interfaced with a LAN The image management is done according to the TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) , and the dis- play system is built upon generally accepted software packages, namely the X -Window system. Also, lossless and lossy digital image compression methods were implemented and tested with X -ray and CT images.

  • This paper is an experimental study on the influence of the demonstration effect by color and light source in show window. This experiment used semantic differentical method in model show window of actual size. The important outcomes of this study are summarized below. 1. In the result by factor analysis, three factors are classified. They are diversity, emotion, lightness. 2. In the study on the influence by light source, incandescence lamp is the most effective light source in every items. 3. In the result of the study on the influence by color source, according to each factor bring out following result ; Green is the most effective in diversity factor and ligthness factor. Yellow is the most effective in emotion factor.

Effects of Design Factors and Shopping Types on Consumer Mood and Store Image

  • In retailing, it is very important to examine how consumers perceive and react to in-store design factors such as in-store space for walking, product arrangement styles, display types, and window sizes. Furthermore, consumers' perceptions to the various designs would be differentiated by consumers' shopping patterns such as actual shopping versus window shopping. This article investigates how various designs create different consumer reactions measured by consumer mood and store image depending on the types of consumer shopping (i.e. actual shopping vs. window shopping). It was found that design factors such as open, focused, and big created better consumer mood and consumer perception of store image than closed, unfocused, and small. Another finding is that consumer perceptions interact with consumer shopping patterns. Based on the research findings, managerial implications are also discussed

Reducing speckle artifacts in digital holography through programmable filtration

  • We propose a speckle reduction technique in electronic holographic display systems, where digital micro-mirror array devices are used as spatial light modulators. By adopting a programmable filtration in a general 4-f optic configuration, it is shown that the signal spectrum components in the frequency domain of a viewing-window-based holographic display system can be selectively filtered. Compared to the widely utilized single-sideband filtration techniques in electronic holographic display systems, our proposed programmable filtration can be utilized to effectively reduce the speckles in the reconstruction of point-cloud-based computer-generated holograms. Experimental results are presented to verify our proposed concept.
