Analysis of transformer sheet winding losses and temperature rise (변압기 sheet권선 손실 및 온도 상승 해석)

  • This paper describes analysis of transformer sheet winding losses and temperature rise. Sheet windings are used if transformer rating currents are so high that one meets current density limit on windings. Unlike stranded windings, sheet windings may be locally healed due to R direction flux. Winding losses with eddy current effect are calculated by finite element electromagnetic analysis and temperature rise is also calculated by Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with loss result.

  • In this paper, the equation for the generated force is introduced, on the basis of Maxwell's electromagnetic equation, by dividing the air-gap magnetic field into the region of the constant amplitude and the region of the pulsating field in the both ends of iron core, in the case that the typical 3 phase winding is employed in the double sided 3 phase linear induction motor with sheet rotor in accrodance with the winding method of rotary induction machine. With the effect of the overhang region being taken into account, the result, in which the equation is established, inducates that theoretical values nearly coincides with the measured values in the interval of slip s=0-0.8.

  • In many manufacturing processes such as web formation, manufacturing of paper and nonwoven, fabric weaving, etc., planar sheets are transported and at the same time appropriate tension is imposed. The input material rolled up on beams is fed by unwinding the beam and the processed is then taken up on beams by winding it. While processed, the planar sheets are thrown under the processing load of impulse form, which causes irregular thickness of the processed sheet. To improve the quality of the product, a dynamic model is needed and the dynamic characteristics is to be analyzed by simulation. This study shows that density variation dynamics of the in-process-sheet in the machine direction can be described at each moment of disturbing impacts in forms of difference equations, while the impacts and tension, the time-dependency of the material properties were taken into account. Simulation showed the most serious variation of the density occurred in the process starting phase. The starting velocity curve with step form showed the least variation of the density. As the time order of the function of the starting velocity cure becomes higher, the density variation gets greater.

  • Observing of GMT-Sheet in molding conditions, we have investigated unexpected phenomenons of moldings surface. In microscope investigation, we observe that there exist deficiencies on the surface of GMT-Sheet moldings, such as the spherulite, fiber projection, crack, fiber exposure, micro-weldline, pinhole and winding. They are caused to arise unevenness and phenomenons influence polish on surface. Especially, the major cause of the unevenness, effected to surface roughness, is a shrinking of matrix in the process of holding pressure and cooling temperature. The higher holding pressure load in a molding process and the lower demolding temperature in an annealing experiment, the better GMT-Sheet moldings improved its appearance.

  • The high temperature superconductor transformers gain interests from the industries. This paper described construction and test results of 10㎸A HTS transformer Three phase transformer with double pancake windings were constructed. To reduce the leakage magnetic field, secondary coil were placed between the two primary coils. BSCCO-2223 wire. silicon sheet steel core and FRP cryostats were used to construct the transformer. Three coils were stacked in one cryostat. Two double pancake coils were connected in series for the primary coil and one double pancake coil was used for the secondary coil. Total number of turns of the primary winding and the secondary winding were 112turns and 98urns, respectively, The rated voltages of each winding were 440/220V. The rated currents of each winding were 13.1/26.2A. After the tests of basic properties of the three phase HTS transformer using no-load test, short-circuit test and full-load test, continuous operation of 100 hours with pure resistive load has been carried out. Test results proved over-load capability and reliability of the HTS transformer.

  • Until now to analysis of LIM first winding current distribution is assumed to be finite sinusoidal current. But this method have demerits to learn the difference of LIM's characteristics which is produced by difference of winding method. So in this paper amodel of which period is the length core and air gap mmf of this winding current developed to fourier series, then mmf which contain air gap mmf is obtained this mmf is transformed to current sheet and the analysis result which are obtained by using sinusoidal first current and proposed method are compared.

  • The objective of this study is to develop an embedded antenna structure with NFC and WPC composite functions. By selecting stable materials, the optimal component ratio of the polymer sheet was determined. The low cost embedded winding method compared to the existing FPCB was devised. During the winding process, characterization and process technology were developed. We also fabricated a ferrite mold to process the WPC grooves and developed the process technology for optimizing the WPC antenna. The following conclusions were obtained. (1) Optimum composition ratio was derived as Fe 87.5%, Si 7%, Al 5.5% and selected as the final material. (2) Optimal sheet conditions were derived from the experimental evaluation method and the experimental design method through the combination test of the optimized sheet and the conventional mass production FPCB. (3) According to coil diameter and inner diameter, Q value fluctuation, resistance value and efficiency fluctuation are obtained. Therefore, the most suitable coil condition is selected and Rx matching is performed. (4) The EMV load modulation test and the cognitive distance test of the polymer sheet and the ferrite sheet showed that the recognition distance of the polymer sheet at 1k and 4K was 32-33 mm and the recognition distance of the ferrite sheet at the same condition was 30-31 mm.

A Discussion on Measurement of Springback Ratio Using Winding Bend Rig (감아굽힘 장치를 이용한 스프링백 비의 측정에 대한 역학적 검토)

  • To measure springback ratio of thin sheet or plate, winding bend rig is made. It bends a specimen with keeping its curva-ture constant and measure the bending angles before and after release of bending load. To check the performance of the bend rig, we calculated the bending moment by two ways which are based on simple beam theory. One is that the bending moment is calculated by using the results of bending test, and the other is that the moment is calculated by using the results of tensile tests. The former may entails the effect of the other is that the moment is calculated by using the results of tensile tests. The former may entails the effect of the friction between bending pin of the rig and surface of specimen, but the latter does not contain any effects of the friction since the bending moment is obtained by using tensile tests. Never-theless, the values of the two bending moments shows the same level of bending moment, which implies that the friction does not influence on the presence of friction within the scope of the test performed in this experiment. This phenomenon is explained theoretically by using moment equilibrium.

A Study on the Transformer Design considering the Inrush Current Reduction in the Arc Welding Machine

  • The transformer used in an inverter type arc welding machine is designed to use high frequency in order to reduce its size and cost. Also, selecting core materials that fit frequency is important because core loss increases in a high frequency band. An inrush current can occur in the primary coil of transformer during arc welding and this inrush current can cause IGBT, the switching element, to burn out. The transformer design was carried out in $A_P$ method and amorphous core was used to reduce the size of transformer. In addition, sheet coil was used for primary winding and secondary winding coil considering the skin effect. This paper designed the transformer core with an air gap to prevent IGBT burnout due to the inrush current during welding and proposed the optimum air gap length.
