풍향과 풍속의 특징을 이용한 SVR기반 단기풍력발전량 예측 (Forecasting of Short-term Wind Power Generation Based on SVR Using Characteristics of Wind Direction and Wind Speed)

  • 본 논문은 풍력발전예측의 정확도 개선을 위하여 바람의 특성을 반영한 풍력발전량예측 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 크게 바람의 특성을 추출하는 부분과 발전량을 예측하는 부분으로 구성된다. 바람의 특성을 추출하는 부분은 발전량, 풍향과 풍속의 상관분석을 이용한다. 풍향과 풍속의 상관관계를 근거로 K-means 방법으로 클러스터링하여 특징 벡터를 추출한다. 예측하는 부분은 임의의 실수값을 예측 할 수 있도록 SVM을 일반화 한 SVR을 이용하여 기계학습을 한다. 기계학습은 바람의 특성을 반영한 제안한 방법과 바람의 특성을 반영하지 않은 기존방법을 비교 실험하였다. 또한, 제안한 방법의 정확도와 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 장소가 상이한 제주도 풍력발전단지 3지역에서 수집된 데이터를 사용하였다. 실험결과, 제안한 방법의 오차가 일반적인 풍력발전예측 오차보다 개선되었다.

  • A technique for alignment to true north is presented, based on synchronized measurements of vision image by a camera and output voltage of wind direction sensor. The true wind direction is evaluated by means of image processing techniques with least square sense, and then evaluated true value is compared with measured output voltage of the sensor. The proposed technique is applied to real meteorological tower m Daekwanryung test site. In addition, some uncertainty analysis of this method is presented.

  • The salt contamination on the distribution facilities was investigated with the wind direction and velocity. Most previous researches were concentrated on the measurement of The Equivalent Salt Deposit Density(ESDD) without environmental consideration. The wind direction and velocity of the many environmental conditions are the most important factors to analyze salt contamination. Pohang area which is located on the south and east of the Korean Peninsula was chosen to do this research. This research will present the result of ESDD depending on the wind direction and velocity.

Systematic influence of wind incident directions on wind circulation in the re-entrant corners of high-rise buildings

  • The mechanical and aerodynamic effect of building shape plays a dominate role in the pedestrian level wind environment. These effects have been presented in numerous studies and are available in many wind codes. However, most studies have focused on wind flow around conventional buildings and are limited to few wind directions. The present study investigated wind circulation in the re-entrant corners of cross-shaped high-rise buildings from various wind directions. The investigation focused on the pedestrian level wind environment in the re-entrant corners with different aspect ratios of building arrangements. Ninety cases of case study arrangements were evaluated using wind tunnel experimentation. The results show that for adequate wind circulation in the re-entrant corners, building orientations and separations play a critical role. Furthermore, in normal wind incident directions and at a high aspect ratio, poor wind flow was observed in the re-entrant corners. Moreover, it was noted that an optimized building orientation and aspect ratio significantly improved the wind flow in re-entrant corners and through passages. In addition, it was observed that oblique wind incident direction increased wind circulation in the re-entrant corners and through passages.

Effects of wind direction on the flight trajectories of roof sheathing panels under high winds

  • By using the 'failure' model approach, the effects of wind direction on the flight of sheathing panels from the roof of a model house in extreme winds was investigated. A complex relationship between the initial conditions, failure velocities, flight trajectories and speeds was observed. It was found that the local flow field above the roof and in the wake of the house have important effects on the flight of the panels. For example, when the initial panel location is oblique to the wind direction and in the region of separated flow near the roof edge, the panels do not fly from the roof since the resultant aerodynamic forces are small, even though the pressure coefficients at failure are high. For panels that do fly, wake effects from the building are a source of significant variation of flight trajectories and speeds. It was observed that the horizontal velocities of the panels span a range of about 20% - 95% of the roof height gust speed at failure. Numerical calculations assuming uniform, smooth flow appear to be useful for determining panel speeds; in particular, using the mean roof height, 3 sec gust speed provides a useful upper bound for determining panel speeds for the configuration examined. However, there are significant challenges for estimating trajectories using this method.

CFD 모델을 이용한 도시지역 지상바람 관측환경 평가 (Assessment of Observation Environment for Surface Wind in Urban Areas Using a CFD model)

  • Effects of buildings and topography on observation environment of surface wind in central regions of urban areas are investigated using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. In order to reflect the characteristics of buildings and topography in urban areas, geographic information system (GIS) data are used to construct surface boundary input data. For each observation station, 16 cases with different inflow directions are considered to evaluate effects of buildings and topography on wind speed and direction around the observation station. The results show that flow patterns are very complicated due to the buildings and topography. The simulated wind speed and direction at the location of each observation station are compared with those of inflow. As a whole, wind speed at observation stations decreases due to the drag effect of buildings. The decrease rate of wind speed is strongly related with total volume of buildings which are located in the upwind direction. It is concluded that the CFD model is a very useful tool to evaluate location of observation station suitability. And it is expected to help produce wind observation data that represent local scale excluding the effects of buildings and topography in urban areas.

The uncertainty analysis about the component error for the proposed method in practical situation is performed. The proposed technique is applied to real meteorological tower (wind measuring tower) at the Daekwanryung test site. In addition, some uncertainty analysis of this method is presented.

  • In this study, we review the status of Southwest sea 2.5GW offshore wind project and expected various problems. And we suggest government policies for offshore wind industrialization. Especially, we would like to mention the necessity of offshore wind development in order to diversify power sources and guarantee energy security in Korea. And we would like to mention necessity and direction to make offshore wind into growth engine industry thorough fusion between industries and energization for the existing industry such as civil, shipbuilding, steel, etc. that was headed into downturn.

  • 본 논문은 정상풍속과 돌발풍속을 수학적으로 모델링하고 풍향에 따라 전달되는 메인축에서의 전달모멘트를 조사하여 기어박스에 전달되는 풍하중의 특성을 파악하였다. 정상풍속은 지상에서 고도가 높아짐에 따라 속도가 증가하게 설정을 하였다. 풍하중에 의해서 메인축으로 전달되는 모멘트의 평균값과 하모닉값을 풍향 입사각을 $-45^{\circ}{\sim}45^{\circ}$로 변화를 주며 특성을 파악하였다. 또한 기어 트레인의 미스 얼라인먼트를 유발시키는 굽힘 모멘트의 특성을 파악하였다. 정상풍속모델에서는 블레이드의 3배수 주파수(3X)로 하는 토크의 가진이 생기며, 바람의 방향이 $+22.5^{\circ}$일 때 수평방향의 굽힘 모멘트가 주축으로 들어가는 토크의 50%수준으로 발생하는데 이는 수평방향으로의 탄성 축 휘임을 유발하여 치가 모서리에서 물림이 발생하게 하는 원인을 제공함을 알 수 있었다. 돌발풍속의 경우, 3X, 6X, 9X를 가진 주파수로 하는 토크의 가진이 바람의 방향이 +방향으로 커질수록 하모닉항의 상대 비율이 증가하였다.

  • 도심지역 교통문제의 해결책으로 제시되고 있는 UAM의 초기 운영 형태는 다양한 연구에서 현재 항공기 중 VTOL 기체와 유사 할 것으로 제시되고 있다. 고정익 항공기가 이·착륙하는 활주로의 방향 결정과 유사한 형태로 VTOL 기체의 이착륙이 이루어지는 버티포트는 기체의 이·착륙 과정의 출발 및 도착의 비행 방향을 바람의 방향을 고려하여 정하도록 하고 있다. 일반적으로 공항이 건설되는 지역과 다르게 도심지의 경우 새로운 건물의 건축 등 지형 또는 장애물 변화 환경에 따라 바람의 특성이 지속적으로 변화될 수 있는 여건이 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 버티포트의 위치가 예상되는 도심 위치에서 이착륙 방향 검토를 위한 장기간의 실제 관측 데이터를 풍배도를 사용하여 비교 후 관측 기간 및 관측 위치에 따라 지상 바람의 특성과 주 바람의 방향이 변화 가능성을 확인하였다.
