  • The main factors of radar signals used in electronic warfare are Radio Frequency(RF), Pulse Repetition Interval(PRI), Pulse Width(PW), Scan Parameter(SP) and so on. This radar signals may have some important information for the electronic warfare. So, there is a necessity for making a threat database to decide whether the radar signal is a threat or not. When the electronic support system collects some threat radar signals, it needs the search band to control the receivers and filter banks of the system. In this paper we propose search band implementation considering the type and center frequency of the receivers of the electronic support system.

  • A radar altimeter which measures the distance using radio wave developed by domestic technology has been applied to various missiles. It is used also for calculating the error of integrated navigation technique. There are a couple of methods to reduce the error but in this paper, we proposed to utilize existing C-band radar altimeter main body with frequency conversion. We designed and manufactured the frequency converter and Ku-band antenna to accomplish this goal. From the test results of products' function and performance, we could expect the possibility of applying this method to enhance the missiles' integrated performance.

  • As a result of research, the character of the general dress-costumes from the late 17th century to the early 18th century in Genre Paintings of DuSeo Yun and YoungSeok Cho is as follows. Firstly young women wore braided hair at the back of head and married women wore hair in the style of Unjeun-mori with Gache. The length of Jeogori (Korean traditional jacket) covered waistor shortened to waist length. The width of Jeongori was suitable, because side-seam line was straight or oblique as it comes into inner line. The width of Git was enough and Mokpan-git (shape of board) and Kal-kit (shape of knife) appeared, and sometimes used other color fabric. Sleeve was narrow and ostly folded up. Chima (Korean traditional skirt) used darker color fabric than Jeogori and the width of Chima was narrow and its length was short. Sokbaji (Korean traditional underpants) shown below were narrow and its end narrower. They were barefoot or they wore Hye (Korean traditional shoes) after putting on Beoseon (Korean traditional socks). Secondly general man's hair tie a topknot (sangtu) and put on headdres, 'Bang-lip', 'Mang-geon', hairband, 'Tang-geon' on head. The length of Jeogori became shorter from the line which covered hip to the line which covered waist. The width of Jeogori was suitable and sometimes it had a slit of side-seam line. The width of Git (neckand) was wide and the length of Git was long. 'Kal-git'appeared and it used other color fabric. The shape of sleeve was straight and narrow. They folded up their sleeves. They folded up their sleeves. They folded up their slack that look like 'Jam-bang-i'and the width of slacks was not suitable, and it was narrow. Baji (Korean traditional pants) were with or without knot, worn 'Hangjeon'(ankle band). They were barefoot and wore 'Hye'or 'Jipsin'(Korean traditional straw shoes). Thirdly a person of high birth or a low-ranked official put 'Yu-geon', 'Mang-geon', 'Gat', 'Tang-geon', 'Bok-du', 'Bok-geon', 'Whi-hang'on their head on a topknot. They wore 'Po (Shim-ui, Jick-ryeong'Jung-chi-mak, Do-po, etc)'on Baji and Jeogori. 'Po'was long and wide, it knot with 'Se-jo-dae'(string belt) or 'Po-baek-dae'(band belt). It had a slit of sideline and 'Mu'which had or had not or which were hard to confirm. The shape of sleeve was straight or very wide and its length was long. The width of Baji was wide and knotted with 'Hangjeon'and wore'Beoseon'and 'Hye'. Fourthly child's hair was short or knotted to the back of the head. The length of Jeogori reached waist line and its width was wide. It had a 'Jeogori'which had s slit of sideline. The shape of sleeve was 'Tong-su'(straight), and the length of sleeve was diverse. They put 'Baeja'on 'Jeogori'. The width of Baji was not wide. They wore them straight without or with knot, 'Hangjeon'. They were barefoot or put on 'Jipsin'.

  • In this paper, X-band 60 W Solid-State Power Amplifier with sequential control circuit and pulse width variation circuit for improve bias of SSPA module was designed. The sequential control circuit operate in regular sequence drain bias switching of GaAs FET. The distortion and efficiency of output signals due to SSPA nonlinear degradation is increased by making operate in regular sequence the drain bias wider than that of RF input signals pulse width if only input signal using pulsed width variation. The GaAs FETs are used for the 60 W SSPA module which is consists of 3-stage modules, pre-amplifier stage, driver-amplifier stage and main-power amplifier stage. The main power amplifier stage is implemented with the power combiner, as a balanced amplifier structure, to obtain the power greater than 60 W. The designed SSPA modules has 50 dB gain, pulse period 1 msec, pulse width 100 us, 10 % duty cycle and 60 watts output power in the frequency range of 9.2~9.6 GHz and it can be applied to solid-state pulse compression radar using pulse SSPA.

  • First-principles investigations on the hybrid one dementional hexagonal hybrboron-nitride nano ribbons (BNNRs) with a armchair graphene nano-ribbons(AGRNRs), are presented. Electronics properties of the mixed armchair BNC nano-ribbon (BNCNRs) structure show control of a band gap on all cases at the special K-point. And we have studied, the band gap is direct in all cases. The band gap of mixed ABNCNRs could be divided into three groups (${\Delta}3p$, ${\Delta}3p+1$ and ${\Delta}3p+2$) and decrease with the increase of the width. Also these results show similar to the AGNRs case. Different from the band gap value ordering of AGNRs (${\Delta}3p+1$ > ${\Delta}3p$ > ${\Delta}3p+2$), the ordering of ABNCNRs is ${\Delta}3p$ > ${\Delta}3p+1$ > ${\Delta}3p+2$. The discrepancy may come from the differences between the edges of AGRNRs and the boundaries of hybrid BNCNRs. In addition, the bandgap of ABNCNRs are much smaller than those of the corresponding AGNRs. Our results show that the origin of band gap for BNCNRs with armchair shaped edges arises from both quantum confinement effect of the edges. These results similar to thecase of AGNRs. These properties of hybrid BN/C nano-ribbon structure may offer suitable bandgap to develop nnanoscale electronics and solar cell beyond individual GNRs and BNNRs.

  • In this paper, a design method for a dual-band compact slot antenna using SRR(split-ring resonator) conductor is studied. The SRR conductor is loaded inside of a rectangular slot of the proposed antenna for dual-band operation. Final design parameters are obtained by analyzing the effects of the gap between the SRR conductor and slot, and the width of the SRR conductor on the input reflection coefficient and gain characteristics. A prototype of the proposed dual-band slot antenna operating at 2.45 GHz WLAN band and 3.40-5.35 GHz band is designed on an FR4 substrate with a dimension of 30 mm by 30 mm.

  • The symmetry of the conduction-band minimum of $GaAs_{1-x}N_{x}$ is probed by performing resonant Raman scattering (RRS) on thin layers of $GaAs_{1-x}N_{x}(x{\leq}0.7)$ epitaxially grown on Ge substrates. Strong resonance enhancement of the LO(longitudinal optical)-phonon Raman intensity is observed with excitation energies near the $E_0$ as well as $E_+$ transitions, However, in contrast to the distinct LO-phonon line-width resonance enhancement and activation of various X and L zone-boundary phonons brought about slightly below and near the $E_+$ transition, respectively, we have not observed any resonant LO-phonon line-width broadening or activation of sharp zone-boundary phonons near the $E_0$ transition. The observed RRS results reveal that the conduction-band minimum of GaAsN predominantly consists of the delocalized GaAs bulk-like states of ${\Gamma}$ symmetry.

  • In this paper, we deal with the development of an optimal design program for a triple-band PTFA(Planar Inverted-F Antenna) of 433 MHz, 912 MHz and 2.45 GHz by using evolution strategy. Generally, the resonance frequency of the PIFA is determined by the width and length of a U-type slot used. However the resonance frequencies of the multiple U slots are varied by the mutual effect of the slots. Thus the optimal width and length of U-type slots are determined by using an optimal design program based on the evolution strategy. To achieve this, an interface program between a commercial EM analysis tool and the optimal design program is constructed for implementing the evolution strategy technique that seeks a global optimum of the objective function through the iterative design process consisting of variation and reproduction. The resonance frequencies of the triple-band PIFA yielded by the optimal design program are 430 MHz, 910.5 MHz and 2.458 GHz that show a good agreement to the design target values.

  • In this paper, we proposed the new rectangular waveguide-NRD waveguide transition in which the transition function about the standard waveguide is built in within the NRD waveguide ifself. The newly proposed rectangular waveguide-NRD waveguide transition was realized use of NRD waveguide input/output side wall thickness and hole width. In the case of the wall thickness, it was nearly identical with the half of the NRD waveguide guide wavelength and the width of an hole was nearly coincide with the length of the long side of the standard waveguide connected with the NRD waveguide. This kind of the principles is applicable to be unrelated with the frequency band. In this paper, it made in 38 GHz band with the rectangular waveguide-NRD waveguide transition and the feasibility was confirmed. In the back-to-back structure, the rectangular waveguide-NRD waveguide transition manufactured in 38 GHz band has the insertion loss less than 0.4 dB and also has the return loss less than 20 dB.
