Background: Cancer is currently one of the main public health problems all over the world and its economic burden is substantial both for health systems and for society as a whole. To inform priorities for cancer control, we here estimated years of potential life lost (YPLL) and productivity losses due to cancer-related premature mortality in Iran from 2006 to 2010. Materials and Methods: The number of cancer deaths by sex and age groups for top ten leading cancers in Iran were obtained from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. To estimate the YPLL and the cost of productivity loss due to cancer-related premature mortality, the life expectancy method and the human capital approach were used, respectively. Results: There were 138,228 cancer-related deaths in Iran (without Tehran province) of which 76 % (106,954) were attributable to the top 10 ranked cancers. Some 63 % of total cancer-related deaths were of males. The top 10 ranked cancers resulted in 106,766,942 YPLL in total, 64,171,529 (60 %) in males and 42,595,412 (40%) in females. The estimated YPPLL due to top 10 ranked cancers was 58,581,737 during the period studied of which 32,214,524 (54%) was accounted for in males. The total cost of lost productivity caused by premature deaths because of top 10 cancers was 1.68 billion dollars (US$) from 2006 to 2010, ranging from 251 million dollars in 2006 to 283 million dollars in 2010. Conclusions: This study showed that the economic burden of premature mortality attributable to cancer is significant for Iranian society. The findings provide useful information about the economic impact of cancer for health system policy/decision makers and should facilitate planning of preventive intervention and effective resource allocation.
The goal of this study is to examine the level of disposition conformity in everyday life and behavior conformity in clothes brand choice, and analyze the effects of disposition conformity and influential variables on behavior conformity in brand choice. For this analysis, the data were collected from 478 middle school and high school students in Seoul through surveys. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient, ANOVA, t-test, Duncan's multiple range test and multiple regression have been used to analyze the research objectives. Main findings are following; First, the 62.8% of the students showed high level of disposition conformity, and the 60.7% of them showed relatively low level of behavior conformity in brand choice. The adolescent consumers'disposition conformity to the reference groups in everyday life is in the order of parents, peer group, and mass media star. Second, the group differences in disposition conformity are diversified by independent variables. Among socio-demographic variables, disposition conformity to peer group differ by grade and disposition conformity to parents differ by the parents'education. Sex causes differences between groups in all disposition conformity except parents. In economic variables, the perceived level of living raises differences between groups in disposition conformity to the parent and whole disposition conformity. As the degree of disposable money gets higher in buying clothes, adolescent consumers conform more to the mass media star. Disposition conformity to parents and peer group were also differed by self-esteem. Third, significant variables, which affect the adolescent consumers'behavior conformity in brand choice, are grade, their mother's education, degree of disposable money in buying clothes, and disposition conformity to peer group and mass media star.
The purpose of this study is to provide a fundamental research data that is necessary in an education of dietary life so that the students have sound dietary life through a right food purchase after investigating perception of children's dietary habit and activity, food labelling, and nutrition labelling for 400 students of the 5 and 6th grades. The result of the study are as followings. In terms of perception questions over food labelling, on the whole, "know it little bit" was the highest. Girls and country was higher than boys and city. A list of item that is important in contents of food labelling were period of circulation, data of manufacturing, price, used ingredient, origin of product, nutrition contain labelling, manufacturer, quantity in contents(quantity, the number). A meaningful difference was shown in gender(p<.05) and area(p<.01). In 30 perception questions over nutrition labelling, "know it little bit" was the most, and girls and country were higher than boys and city. In ascertaining nutrition labelling at the time of purchasing the food, "look often" was the most. Girls and city were higher than boys and Gun in average but no difference was statistically shown in knowledge mark in utilization and perception of nutrition labelling. The response rate in girls(p<.01) and country(p<.05) was higher in a question of "if nutrition labelling is displayed, nutriment that is harmful for our body will be eaten less" and girls' response rate was higher in the question of "being educated for my health". Therefore, practice centered nutrition education is necessary to purchase the food after ascertaining food nutrition labelling out of an attitude in habitually purchasing the processed food. The students develop comprehensible food nutrition labelling the direction to emphasizing nutrition educational labelling and recognizing that the healthy nutriment is contained without conventional and food safety centered labelling should be changed.
The purpose of this study was to examine the value of children in South and North Korea and to identify the similarities and differences in value orientations related to children and curriculum in child-care and education. The secondary data including 2013 research report on the South Korean consciousness and values, the Familial Law Act and the Child Welfare Act of South Korea, the Familial Law Act and the Law of Nursing and Upbringing of Children in North Korea, and a series of Choson-yeosung magazines in North Korea were analyzed. Results showed that first, it was common that both of social and psychological values of children were found, but the psychological values were more prevalent in the South and the social values were more dominant in the North. Second, parents in both cultures publically agreed that parenting should promote the development of the whole child. However, parents in the South were inclined to support happiness and personal achievement of children, whilst parents in the North were likely to reinforce ideology education producing a pillar for socialism. Third, it was common that both parents of the South and the North were primarily responsible for child-rearing, but the role of government in child-rearing was more emphasized in the North. Lastly, supporting daily routine activities, communication skills, and art activities were included in child-care and education programs in both cultures. However, communication skills and social relationship were emphasized in programs of the South, whilst ideology education was the most important components in program of the North. The strategies for understanding differences in the value of children between the South and the North after unification were discussed.

With change in the pattern of disease occurrence and increase in the interest in health, efforts to assess the health status on patients covering their subjective awareness at the same time as clinical and objective evaluation on health are continued. To measure health-related quality of life can be one of these efforts. This study was performed to evaluate the relevance of the quality of overall health-related-life and oral health condition. Also the second year (2014) materials in the 6th the National Health and Nutrition Survey were applied to this study. The factors affecting general health related quality of life measured by EuroQol-5 dimension (EQ-5D) have been confirmed by gender, age, education level, income level, private health insurance, perceived health status, toothache experience during the last 1 year, remaining tooth number. As oral health plays an important role in determining the overall health conditions, objective oral health state influences the whole body health. Hence, it can be regarded that oral health is ultimately related to the general health-related quality of life.

We investigated the feeding ecology of juvenile chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) during the critical early life stage prey selectivity of juvenile chum salmon during early marine migration in Korean waters at spring 2011. Salmon juveniles and zooplanktons were collected to draw with $20m{\times}5m$ gill net and $300{\mu}m$ mesh zooplankton net at each station on 11th-13th April n 2011. Collected zooplanktons were classified to 5 Phylum, 6 Class, 9 Order 17 Species in this study. Almost 76.4-100% species were classified to Phylum Arthropoda, dominant species was a species out of Hyperia galba of Order Amphipoda, Acartia spp and Paracalanus parvus of Order Calanoida. Collected salmon juveniles were grew up to average 4.7-5.4 cm fork length and average 1.0-1.5 g wet weight in whole station. Fish stomach content (mg/salmon) was heaver to 97.4, 82.4 and 63.2 mg wet weight/salmon in ST 2, 3, 4 than 20.4, 18.9 mg/salmon of ST 1, 5, because there are fish (sand eel, Hypoptychus dybowskii) and Krill (Euphausia) as prey in salmon stomach in ST 2, 3, 4. And ST 2, 3, 4 and 5 were dominated by Amphipoda as Hyperia galba, Themisto japonica and Gammarus sp., but ST 1 was dominated by copepod, because of absence of Amphipoda in the station. Therefore small Amphipoda as Hyperia galba was good prey for just released salmon juvenile in nature.
