We study codes meeting a generalized version of the Singleton bound for higher weights. We show that some of the higher weight enumerators of these codes are uniquely determined. We give the higher weight enumerators for MDS codes, the Simplex codes, the Hamming codes, the first order Reed-Muller codes and their dual codes. For the putative [72, 36, 16] code we find the i-th higher weight enumerators for i = 12 to 36. Additionally, we give a version of the generalized Singleton bound for non-linear codes.

Manual lifting, as a part of manual materials handling activities, is recognized by authorities in the fields of occupational health and safety as a major hazards to industrial workers. In order to minimize the injuries caused by manual material handling activities as well as maximize job productivity, it is important to determine the maximum weights. This paper presents the optimal combination of membership functions according to the high lifting frequency and determines the safe maximum acceptable weights in manual lifting activities through the actual experiment.
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is known as a very useful decision-making model developed for obtaining the relative weights of alternatives through pairwise comparison in the context of hierarchical structure. In this paper, we propose a method to reflect the reliability of evaluators in the process of pairwise comparison. This method is applied to the evaluation of aerospace technology alternatives. We have conducted a questionnaire survey for S company that is one of the representative aerospace companies in Korea. A questionnaire was designed for obtaining both the priority with considering the reliability of evaluators' importance weights (the modified AHP priority) and the priority with assuming equally reliable evaluators' importance weights (the AHP priority) in order to compare the priority derived by each of two methods. The result shows that there exists the difference hard to neglect between the final priorities gained by two methods.

In a situation that rank order information on attribute weights is captured, two solution approaches are presented. An exact solution approach via interaction with a decision-maker pursues progressive reduction of a set of non-dominated alternatives by narrowing down the feasible attribute weights set. In approximate solution approach, on the other hand, three categories of approximate methods such as surrogate weights method, the dominance value-based decision rules, and three classical decision rules are presented and their efficacies in terms of choice accuracy are evaluated via simulation analysis. The simulation results indicate that a method, which combines an exact solution approach through interactions with the decision-maker and the dominance value-based approach is recommendable in a case that a decision is not made at a single step under imprecisely assessed weights information.
Objectives: Disability weights require regular updates, as they are influenced by both diseases and societal perceptions. Consequently, it is necessary to develop an up-to-date list of the causes of diseases and establish a survey panel for estimating disability weights. Accordingly, this study was conducted to calculate, assess, modify, and validate disability weights suitable for Korea, accounting for its cultural and social characteristics. Methods: The 380 causes of disease used in the survey were derived from the 2019 Global Burden of Disease Collaborative Network and from 2019 and 2020 Korean studies on disability weights for causes of disease. Disability weights were reanalyzed by integrating the findings of an earlier survey on disability weights in Korea with those of the additional survey conducted in this study. The responses were transformed into paired comparisons and analyzed using probit regression analysis. Coefficients for the causes of disease were converted into predicted probabilities, and disability weights in 2 models (model 1 and 2) were rescaled using a normal distribution and the natural logarithm, respectively. Results: The mean values for the 380 causes of disease in models 1 and 2 were 0.488 and 0.369, respectively. Both models exhibited the same order of disability weights. The disability weights for the 300 causes of disease present in both the current and 2019 studies demonstrated a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.994 (p=0.001 for both models). This study presents a detailed add-on approach for calculating disability weights. Conclusions: This method can be employed in other countries to obtain timely disability weight estimations.

The stochastic dominance approach is to form a portfolio that stochastically dominates a predetermined benchmark portfolio such as KOSPI. This study is to search a set of portfolio weights for the first-order stochastic dominance with maximum utility defined in terms of mean and variance by managing the constraint set and the objective function in an iterative manner. A nonlinear programming algorithm was developed and tested with promising results against Korean stock market data sets.
The general combining ability (GCV), the specific combining ability (SCA) and the reciprocal combining ability (RCA) effects wereobtained by 8$\times$8 diallel crosses of the silkworms with four Japanese races and four Chinese races, total eight lines. The result are as follows ; 1. The general combining ability (GVA) effects appeared high significant level in the total and the fifth instar periods (TP, FP), a female and a male cocoon weights (FW, MW), a female and a male cocoon layer weights (FL, ML) and a female and a male cocoon layer ratios (FR, MR). Only the reciprocal combining ability (RCA) effects appeared high significant level in the total and the fifth instar periods (TP, FP). 2. The Japanese original silkworm lines varied in the general combining ability effects from -0.864 to 0.578, and the Chinese original silkworm lines did in ones from -0.570 to 1.018. 3. The specific combining ability effects of the silkworm lines made in order of the crossing types of JL (Japanese lines) $\times$CL (Chinese lines)>CL$\times$JL>JL$\times$JL> CL$\times$CL in a total cocoon weights and a cocoon layer weights. 4. The reciprocal combining ability effects of the silkworm lines was in order of the crossing types of JL$\times$CL>JL$\times$JL> CL$\times$CL>CL$\times$JL in a total cocoon weights and cocoon layer weights.
LHR(Landfill Hazard Ranking Model) was developed for assessing the relative hazard of landfills by using the method of value-structured approach. LHR consists of combining a multiattribute decision-making method with a qualitative risk assessment approach. A pairwise comparision method was applied to determine weights of landfill factors related. To prove the validity of weights allocation of landfill hazard evaluation factors, sensitivity analysis was applied. Firstly, the impact on landfill hazard score according to variations of weights of landfill hazard factors was analyzed. Secondly, the impact on landfill hazard score according to conditions change of landfill hazard factors was analyzed. As a result of sensitivity analysis, LHR composite scores are largely influenced by some factors following sequential order such as waste volume, proximity to sensitive environments, containment facilities, distance from drinking water supplies, and waste toxicity. The relative order of landfill hazard evaluated by LHR is not influenced by the weights change of individual factors. Therefore, LHR seems to be a credible model to determine priorities of landfill remediation based on the vulnerability of water resources.
Presently Sasang constitutional medicine draws public attention and a diet based on this theory in gaining popularity. However, scientific data are not available to probe the effects of constitutional diet and the correlations between constitution and food consumptions. Thiry-four healthy subjects[26 females and 8 males] with Tae-eum(females: 5, males: 7), So-yang(females: 9)and So-eum(females: 12, males: 1), were studied. Subjects were not told the kind of constitutional diets they were consuming. Tae-eum constitutional diet was given to all subjects more than 2 meals a day for 8 weeks. The Sasang constitutional classification, food frequency questionnaire and food habits were assessed. The anthropometric assessment, dietary assessment, health status assessment and blood analysis were carried out before and after taking the Tae-eum constitution diet. In case of females, the body weights and BMI were different among the constitutional groups in the following order : Tae-eum constitutional diet. In case of females, the body weights the body weights and BMI were different among the constitutional groups in the following order: Tae-eum>So-yang>So-eum. In case of males, the body weights and BMI of Tae-eum were significantly higher than those of So-eum. In general, habitual food consumption of all of these four groups were very close to those for each of Sasang constitutional types described by Sasang medicine. After 8-weeks of Tae-eum diet, the health status and blood biochemical parameters were not significantly changed.
This study analyzes the mathematical creativity test as an illustrative example with scoring domains of fluency, flexibility and originality in order to make suggestions for obtaining maximum reliability based on a composite score depending on combinations of each scoring domain weights. This is done by performing a multivariate generalizability analysis on the test scores, which were allowed to access publicly, of 30 mathematically gifted elementary school students, and therefore error variances, generalizability coefficients, and effective weights have been calculated. The main results were as follows. First, the optimal weights should adjust to .5, .4, and .1 based on the maximum generalizability coefficient even though the original weights in the mathematical creativity test were equal for each scoring domain with fluency, flexibility and originality. Second, the mathematical creativity test using the three scoring domains of fluency, flexibility, and originality showed higher reliability than using one scoring domain such as fluency. These results are limited to the mathematical creativity test used in this study. However, the methodology applied in this study can help determine the optimal weights depending on each scoring domain when the tests constructed in various researchers or educational fields are composed of multiple scoring domains.
