  • 다기준 의사결정 문제에서 요인간의 가중치 계산과 계산된 요인의 평가값 종합화는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 다기준 의사결정 문제에 있어서 의사결정자의 의사전략 결합기법을 도출하고 다기준의사결정 문제로 적용하였다. 복잡한 환경에서 의사결정을 할 때 발생되는 모호함을 해결하기 위해 주관적 의견을 결합한 퍼지지합 이론을, 다기준 문제의 요인을 퍼지값으로 계층화하기 위해 계층분석법을 적용하였다. 또한, 의사결정자의 의사전략을 결합하기 위해 순위 가중치평균법을 이용하였다. 순위가 있는 가중치 평균방법은 퍼지집합의 orness 특성을 이용하여 의사결정자의 주관적 의지를 반영할 수 있는 기법으로, 순위가중치평균(OWA) 연산자에 따른 낙관적 혹은 비관적인 정도에 따라 주관적인 의도를 반영할 수 있는 방법이다. 다기준의사결정 문제의 적용사례로서 해상교통안전을 위한 대기정박지의 위치분석 문제를 본 연구에서 제시한 방법에 따라 적용하였다.

  • Three-dimensional cavity flow is analyzed with the code by using unstructured grid. Incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are used as governing equations, and governing equations are discretized by Finite Volume Method. Artificial compressibility method, proposed by Chorin, and developed by Soh, is used for coupling a pressure and a velocity. Cell-centered scheme is adopted in the code, this has the effect of having denser grid than nodal scheme when the same grid is used. Weighted Averaging scheme is used for the value at a nodal point. Cavity flow is analyzed, and this computed results are compared with the results in the research report

  • In this paper, a second-order 3-bit DSM using DWA(Data Weighted Averaging) algorithm is designed for bluetooth Zero-IF Receiver. The designed circuit has two integrators using a designed OTA, nonoverlapping two-phase clerk generator, 3-bit A/D converter, DWA algorithm and 3-bit D/A converter An ideal model of second-order lowpass DSM with a 3-bit quantizer was configured by using MATLAB, and each coefficients and design specification of each blocks were determined to have 10-bit resolution in 1MHz channel bandwidth. The designed second-order 3-blt lowpass DSM has maximum SNR of 74dB and power consumption is 50mW at 3.3V.

On the Properties of OWA Operator Weighting Functions with Constant Value of Orness

  • In this paper, we present analytic forms of the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator weighting functions, each of which has properties of rank-based weights and a constant level of orness, irrespective of the number of objectives considered. These analytic forms provide significant advantages for generating OWA weights over previously reported methods. First, OWA weights can be efficiently generated by use of proposed weighting functions without solving a complicated mathematical program. Moreover, convex combinations of these specific OWA operators can be used to generate OWA operators with any predefined values of orness once specific values of orness are α priori stated by decision maker. Those weights have a property of constant level of orness as well. Finally, OWA weights generated at a predefined value of orness make almost no numerical difference with maximum entropy OWA weights in terms of dispersion.

  • The method for enhancing the edges from medical images is described. The various methods are tested for the medical Images contaminated by noises, such as weighted averaging based on local probabilities, unsharp masking techniques, and proposed combined techniques. As a result, the combined technique using the median filtering and edge masks in six directions is well suited to remove the noises as to as to preserve the edges. Experimental results and computational procedures are presented.

  • In this work, we proesent a bidirectional approximate reasoning method and fuzzy inference network for interval valued decision making systems. For this, we propose a new type of similarity measure between two fuzzy vectors based on the Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) operator. Since the proposed similarity measure has a structure to give the extreme values by choosing a suitable weighting vector of the OWA operator, it can render an interval valued similarity value. From this property, we derive a bidirectional approximate reasoning method based on the similarity measure and show its fuzzy inference network implementation for the decision making systems requiring the interval valued decisions.

Advanced Channel Estimation Method for IEEE 802.11p/WAVE System

  • In this paper, we propose an advanced Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) channel estimation method for IEEE 802.11p/Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) systems. To improve the performance of MMSE method, we apply the Weighted Sum using Update Matrix (WSUM) scheme to the step of calculating the instantaneously estimated channel and then, a time domain selectively averaging method is applied after the WSUM scheme. Based on that, the accuracy of instantaneously estimated channel increases and then, the accuracy of auto covariance matrix also increases. Consequently, we can achieve the performance gain over the conventional MMSE method. Through simulations based on the IEEE 802.11p standard, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme can outperform the existing channel estimation schemes.

  • 이 논문은 레일레이 감쇄 채널 환경에서 IMT-2000 파일럿 심볼 구조의 W-CDMA 시스템 역방향 링크의 채널 추정에 관한 LMS 적용형 알고리즘 성능을 WMSA(Weighted Multi-Slot Averaging)(K=1,2,3), 일정 추정이득 (Constant estimation gain) 및 RLS 알고리즘 성능과 비교 분석하였다. 이 논문의 모형은 IMT-2000 3GPP 규격의 W-CDMA 채널 구조, 변조 및 파일럿 패턴을 이용하였다. 파일럿 심볼 위치의 채널추정은 LMS 알고리즘을 이용하고 데이터 심볼 위치의 채널보상은 선형 보간으로 수행하였다. 저속 도플러 주파수에서는 WMSA(K=1,2,3) 성능이 일정 추정이득, RLS 및 LMS 적응형 알고리즘 성능보다 우수하며, WMSA(K=1) 성능의 경우 일정 추정이득, RLS 및 LMS 적응형 알고리듬 성능과는 큰 차이가 없다. 그리고 LMS 알고리즘 성능은 WMSA(K=1) 성능과 매우 비슷한 결과를 얻었다. 그러나 도플러 주파수가 고속화될수록 LMS 알고리즘의 성능이 WMSA(K=1), 일정 추정이득 및 RLS 알고리즘 성능보다 우수함을 확인하였다.

SUPPORT Applications for Classification Trees

  • Classification tree algorithms including as CART by Brieman et al.(1984) in some aspects, recursively partition the data space with the aim of making the distribution of the class variable as pure as within each partition and consist of several steps. SUPPORT(smoothed and unsmoothed piecewise-polynomial regression trees) method of Chaudhuri et al(1994), a weighted averaging technique is used to combine piecewise polynomial fits into a smooth one. We focus on applying SUPPORT to a binary class variable. Logistic model is considered in the caculation techniques and the results are shown good classification rates compared with other methods as CART, QUEST, and CHAID.

  • We have done a preliminary study on the detection of ventricular late potentials using high-resolution electrocardiography. We designed a battery powered low-noise ECG amplifier. We used the XYZ lead system and the amplifier provides 3 channels of X, Y, and Z signals with a conventional gain and another 3 channels of the amplitude-limited X, Y, and Z signals with high-gain. 12-bit data acquisition system interfaces the amplifiers to a personal computer for further signal analysis. Beat alignment algorithm was implemented on the low-gain signals to synchronize the signal averaging of the high-gain amplitude-limited signals. We suggest the use of the weighted vector sum of X', Y', and Z' signals based on the SNR of each channel. We speculate that this new method will increase the accuracy of the LP detector at the expense of more complicated hardware.
