Color Strategies for SPA Brand Identity -Focused on 2013 S/S- (SPA 브랜드 아이덴티티를 위한 컬러 활용 전략 -2013년 S/S 시즌을 중심으로-)

  • SPA brands have quickly expanded in domestic fashion markets as native SPA brands enter markets that foreign SPA brands previously occupied. It is important that each SPA brand establish its own brand identity to differentiate itself from other brands when SPA brand competition in fashion markets increases. This study investigates how SPA brands express brand identities through colors due to their importance for visualization strategies and brand identity. This study conducted a simultaneous literature study and case study. First, this study reviewed the theoretical background of brand identity and its relationship with colors as well as SPA brands by studying relevant literature and cases of domestic academic theses and data on Internet web sites. After reviewing the theoretical background of SPA brands, this study selected 4 stores of SPA brands (8SECONDS, H&M, UNIQLO, and ZARA) as case study targets and analyzed the stores' external appearance, interior and product colors. Store analysis divided colors into identity colors and trend colors with each SPA company expressing its own brand identity through: the store's external appearance (logo color), painted interior colors (ceiling, floor, walls, mannequins, hangers, equipment, and store-carrier bag), or trend colors (reflected in the store's main display hall or products). The results consider that each SPA brand sets the mass market as their target, and chooses the commercialization of latest fashion by selecting the latest trends in the fashion trend cycle, so its products do not reflect characteristics symbolizing the company's uniqueness and brand.

Dimensions of Experiential Value: Is it the same across Retail Channels?

  • Purpose: While empirical importance of dimensionality of perceived value is widely accepted, our understanding of experiential value dimensions in other retail channels and other cultures has not been explicitly tested. This study attempted to determine if the dimensions of experiential value scale (EVS) by Mathwick, Malhotra, and Rigdon (2001) identified in US catalog and Internet contexts could be applied in other international markets (South Korea) and in other retail channels (department store versus Internet shopping mall). Methodology/Approach: Two data sets, one from 220 department store shoppers and the other from 359 Internet shopping mall shoppers, were analyzed. Findings: Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed four different EVS dimensions by retail channels. Overall, entertainment and intrinsic enjoyment values were found to be more important in department store while economic and efficiency value dimensions were interpreted critical in Internet shopping mall context. Visual appeal aspect constitutes distinct value dimension in two channels. Practical Implications: One separate dimension of time efficiency in Internet shopping mall suggests that more efficient web design and functions that can save time and promote convenience are needed to better accommodate their customers. Internet has heavily relied on traditional attributes, such as factual information, price comparability, and brand name reliance. However, this study suggests that Internet shopping mall retailer should offer visual diversion and stimulation just as brick and mortar shopping malls do. Originality /Value of Paper: Although the research findings must be viewed as tentative because the results are from one country, they provide a rich basis for further understanding the dimensions of experiential value in other international markets and other retail channels. A Tombstone Filtered LSM-Tree for Stable Performance of KVS (키밸류 저장소 성능 제어를 위한 삭제 키 분리 LSM-Tree)

  • With the spread of web services, data types are becoming more diversified. In addition to the form of storing data such as images, videos, and texts, the number and form of properties and metadata expressing the data are different for each data. In order to efficiently process such unstructured data, a key-value store is widely used for state-of-the-art applications. LSM-Tree (Log Structured Merge Tree) is the core data structure of various commercial key-value stores. LSM-Tree is optimized to provide high performance for small writes by recording all write and delete operations in a log manner. However, there is a problem in that the delay time and processing speed of user requests are lowered as batches of deletion operations for expired data are inserted into the LSM-Tree as special key-value data. This paper presents a Filtered LSM-Tree (FLSM-Tree) that solves the above problem by separating the deleted key from the main tree structure while maintaining all the advantages of the existing LSM-Tree. The proposed method is implemented in LevelDB, a commercial key-value store and it shows that the read performance is improved by up to 47% in performance evaluation.

Implementation of a Meeting Place Recommendation System (미팅 장소 추천 시스템 구현)

  • When determining a meeting place, it is always a cumbersome problem to select an appropriate store with a short travel time for all participants. In this paper, to solve this problem, we propose an algorithm that recommends the best place and store based on the subway station and develop the system. This system provides a web-based store information registration function that allows self-employed people to register and promote their store, and provides an app-based function to recommend a meeting place to participants. The proposed algorithm reduces the travel time of all participants based on the subway map and improves fairness by using the standard deviation of the required time. In addition, this system presents a new way for self-employed people who have recently relied only on publicity through delivery apps.

  • 시맨틱 웹은 인간이 이해하는 것처럼 웹 문서의 의미를 컴퓨터가 이해할 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 Annotation Editor를 사용하여 논문에 대한 RDF 메타데이타의 자동 생성 방법을 제안한다. 사용자가 논문을 주석 처리할 때, 문서에 대한 특징을 추출하고 온토로지 인터페이스를 사용하여 문서를 분류한다. 구현된 시스템을 통해 사용자는 추출된 메타데이타를 메타데이타 뷰를 통해 수정하고 RDF Store로 저장할 수 있으며, 주석 뷰를 통하여 수동으로 RDF 메타데이타를 입력할 수 있다. 본 논문은 검색 엔진을 통하여 논문 검색 시 전체 내용보다 RDF 메타데이타 정보만으로 효율적인 검색을 할 수 있는 방법에 초점을 둔다.

Voice Message System Supporting Massive Outbound Call (대량의 발신 호를 지원하는 음성 메시지 시스템)

  • In this paper, new voice message system supporting massive outbound call is proposed. Basic idea of the proposed system is to pre-process all the text-to-speech conversion process, mixing of text and attached music file and to store the results of pre-process in the cache server which is connected to the IVR. New voice message system is optimized for the voice message system supporting massive outbound call by distributing the load of the web server caused by server-side script implementation which is accessing database and generating dynamic Voice XML document over client module and server module of web server. The proposed voice message system was test-deployed in one domestic voice message application service provider and it is shown that proposed voice message system reduced the response latency problem of test-bed voice message system.

  • As computer system and information/communication technology develop rapidly, nowadays CSCW(Computer Supported Collaborative Work) system appears, through which it is available to work on virtual space without any restriction of time and place. Most of Un systems depend on a special network and groupware. The systems of graphics and CAD are not so many because they are characterized by Hardware and application software. In this paper, we propose a web-based collaborative CAD system which can be jointly worked on Internet WWW being independent from any platforms. It can generate and handle objects easily using lava 3D, and it can transmit, print, and store them. The interactive work for designing objects can be also carried out through dialling with each other. This system is executed in the environment of Client/server. Clients connect to the server through lava applet on WWW. The server is implemented by lava application, and it consists of three components : connection manager which controls the contact to users, work manager which keeps viewing in concurrency and provides virtual work space sharing with others, and solid modeler which generates 3D object.

  • For running various construction processing information and technological information, it is supplied by Construction CALS/EC systems properly during whole facilities life cycle. So it is urgently necessary to change Regional Construction 8t Management Office (RCMO) equipment construction administration business to electron processing system (CALS/EC). From construction work plan to completion, a present storage documents system is unsystematic. Therefore, it needs management system to store documents and to read in turn documents properly. This research suggest that it is to connect with various information systems and Construction CALS/EC for RCMO which is running public construction field. So it can be driven systematic and effective administration system about public construction business by Web-based present construction situation information system.
