Blogs are now one of the major information resources on the web. The purpose of this study is to enhance the performance of blog retrieval by means of user assigned tags and trackback information. To this end, retrieval experiments were performed with a dataset of 4,908 blog pages together with their associated trackback URLs. In the experiments, text terms, user tags, and network centrality values based on trackbacks were variously combined as retrieval features. The experimental results showed that employing user tags and network centrality values as retrieval features in addition to text words could improve the performance of blog retrieval.

The study aims at investigating students' behaviors and perceptions regarding the collaborative learning based group project using the wiki environment. The study utilized Google Sites as a case, and analyzed file unloads, the use of web pages, navigation bars, and comments as well as surveys. The study discusses main characteristics of students' activities in the collaborative learning group project, which are drawn from the analysis of students' behaviors and perceptions. The study also provides implications for improvement of wiki environment to support collaborative learning in education.

Aiming at finding symbolistic meanings and characteristics of makeup in Chinese Beijing Opera("BO"), this study formulated a theoretical framework mainly from literature in the Symbolism and symbolistically analyzed materials related to BO makeup from literature, internet web pages and illustrated news concerning performing arts. Main objects to analyze are the characteristics of four main roles in BO and the patterns, symbols, ornaments and traditions of Beijing Opera facial makeup("BOFM"). Four main roles are Sheng, Tan, Ching and Chou, categorized by gender, age, social position and personality. The result to analyze symbolistic meanings and characteristics of makeups for the roles in BO are as follows: the patterns and colors of BOFM function as explanations to help audiences understand each role's personality and dramatic situations as well as provide hints about the development and ending of an opera: that is, BO makeup is a communicative intermediary between audiences and actors in BO. It tends to follow the stereotypes, which conventionally dress and exaggerate the characters of roles, and copy the traditional Chinese perception about colors. Thus, by the metaphysical and typical expression of BOFM, Chinese people have not been pursuing the realism in opera but applying BO makeup to a mutual communication method between audiences and performing artists as to share their collective cultural heritages and spirits. Threfore, BO makeup has been an interacting language between the two entities and grown within the history of BO as a beauty art to highlight a BO by its unique systems, ornaments and beauty.

This research was focused on jean jacket and jean pant design characteristics in the collection. To offer a basic proposal for the development of jean jackets and pants, pictures of fashion web pages from 2007 to 2011 were used, and data were analysed by the usage of the frequency and percentage of the SPAW Statistics 18. The results of the research were as follows. Men's jackets were mainly medium in length with a tetragonal silhouette and simple detail. On the contrary, women's jackets were mainly of an X silhouette, short in length, and with varied details. Men's jean pants were mainly represented by a straight, comfortable silhouette while women's jean pants were characterized by a variety of silhouettes, fit, and lengths.

It has been revealed that multiple cohorts of tertiary follicles develop during some animal estrous cycle and the human menstrual cycle. To reach developmental competence, oocytes need the support of somatic cells. During embryogenesis, the primordial germ cells appear, travel to the gonadal rudiments, and form follicles. The female germ cells develop within the somatic cells of the ovary, granulosa cells, and theca cells. How the oocyte and follicle cells support each other has been seriously studied. The latest technologies in genes and proteins and genetic engineering have allowed us to collect a great deal of information about folliculogenesis. For example, a few web pages (http://www.ncbi.nlm. nih.gov; http://mrg.genetics.washington.edu) provide access to databases of genomes, sequences of transcriptomes, and various tools for analyzing and discovering genes important in ovarian development. Formation of the antrum (tertiary follicle) is the final phase of folliculogenesis and the transition from intraovarian to extraovian regulation. This final step coordinates with the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis. On the other hand, currently, follicle physiology is under intense investigation, as little is known about how to overcome women's ovarian problems or how to develop competent oocytes from in vitro follicle culture or transplantation. In this review, some of the known roles of hormones and some of the genes involved in tertiary follicle growth and the general characteristics of tertiary follicles are summarized. In addition, in vitro culture of tertiary follicles is also discussed as a study model and an assisted reproductive technology model.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to verify motivations of corporate Facebook usage and to examine the impacts of usage motivations on brand attachment, trust and loyalty. Design/methodology/approach A conceptual model is developed based on Self-determination theory(SDT) and the previous studies. We conducted a web survey with a convenient sample of 121 Facebook users who clicked "Like" button on the corporate Facebook pages. Findings The followings are the findings of the study. First, intrinsic motivation(Entertainment) turned out to have positive effects on brand attachment. Second, extrinsic motivation(information exchange) turned out to have positive effects on brand trust. Third, brand attachment turned out to have positive effects on brand loyalty. These findings provide a valuable basis for constructing an explanatory model for "Like"-clicking behaviors of corporate's Facebook community platform users, as well as making significant practical contributions to enhance social and commercial benefits for businesses and individuals.

In order to solve problem which User sometime visits the wrong page with respect to user intention when uses snippet. this paper proposes a new snippet extraction method using fuzzy. The proposed method uses pseudo relevance feedback to expand the use's query. It uses the fuzzy association between the expanded query and the web pages to extract snippet to be well reflected semantic user's intention.

As many applications are possible now in mobile environment with the trend of mobile convergence, diverse applications in healthcare industry are also possible in mobile devices. Though lots of researches on mobile and health services are introduced, they are limited to specific area or techniques. This study shows possible directions of fusion between mobile technologies and health services in the future using a data mining technique called association rule analysis. The data used in this study is collected from web pages containing key words related to mobile technologies and health services. The analysis shows that current cases of fusion between monitoring based telemedicine and patients. It also shows another case of fusion between mobile hospital and medical screen charts. These show that fusion between mobile technologies and health services already began in industry. Association rules are found between well-being, city, diet, and sleep. The association rules containing security and privacy, though their associations are not so strong, also show that security and privacy of patient information should be protected in the future. The results show that the fusion of mobile technologies and health services is expected to provide health services to more users and larger areas. It is also expected to create new diverse business models in the future.

Recently many ASP applications have been released which enable them to accept, save and manipulate files uploaded with a web browser. The files are uploaded via an HTML POST form using RFC 1867 In particular, the file transfer via the HTTP port is getting more important because of the current Internet security issues. In this paper, we implement a form-based ASP upload component and disclose explicitly most of the main codes. That is, the open source might be helpful to develop the new ASP applications including file upload function in the future. We also show the upload time and CPU usage time of the proposed upload component and compare with the well-known commercial ones, showing the performance metrics of the proposed component are comparable to those of commercial ones.

Traditionally. theses and dissertations have been extremely underutilized information sources due to their lack of physical availability. The development of electronic theses and dissertations system will provide the opportunity for theses and dissertations to be recognized as a basic channel for the dissemination of research findings and an essential resource in the discovery process. In digital environment. many universities and libraries throughout the world are now making digitized versions of traditional(print) dissertations available online. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current theses and dissertations management system based on web questionaries and survey of home pages. and to suggest a standardized theses and dissertation management model in Korea.
