Augmented Multimedia E-commerce System using Person Wide Web (Person Wide Web 기술을 활용한 증강형 멀티미디어 상거래)

  • Augmented multimedia is a technology to provide additional informations to mobile devices when multimedia contents like video, audio and images are being played. Person Wide Web, PWW, is a scheme for acquiring a link and browsing a corresponding web pages on mobile devices, in which the link is attached any object and space in real world. In this paper we proposed an augmented multimedia E-commerce application system based on PWW scheme which can browse additional informations from video play on public spaces, and implemented on Microsoft Silverlight platform. We showed that the proposed system can support effectively the augmented multimedia E-commerce.

  • A genre or a style is another view of documents different from a subject or a topic. The style is also a criterion to classify the documents. There have been several studies on detecting a style of textual documents. However, only a few of them dealt with web documents. In this paper we suggest sets of features to detect styles of web documents. Web documents are different from textual documents in that Dey contain URL and HTML tags within the pages. We introduce the features specific to web documents, which are extracted from URL and HTML tags. Experimental results enable us to evaluate their characteristics and performances.

Controversy and Guideline Suggestion Surrounding Fake News in the Digital Media Age (가짜뉴스(Fake News) 현황분석을 통해 본 디지털매체 시대의 쟁점과 뉴스콘텐츠 제작 가이드라인)

  • Distinguishing border between news and advertising is disappearing. Traditional journalism considered editorial part deals news and ad part handle commercial messages. But now this classification is meaningless. Current news consumers do not separate advertising content and non-advertising content. In Korea, making fake news or paid news pages is becoming social problem. Fake news uses various camouflages to pretend to be real news. This paper descriptively analyzed Korean fake news cases and suggested some guidelines for publishing news. We analyzed 3 major newspaper web sites from July to September, 2014. These three newspapers publish section pages everyday containing fake news or sponsored news. Totally more than one thousand articles were selected for content analysis. We coded the numbers of fake news, day of the week, the rate of sponsored news, average fake news publication number per pages, the conformity between news and advertising, and the type of fake news. We also coded the number of sponsored news article in day sections. We used method of comparing the advertising contents and news articles. As a result, 24.8% of news article were published for the advertising sponsors. Advertorial or fake news were sometimes arranged same pages the same day. We coded the conformity between same advertising and news content. More than 60 percent (60.9%) of fake news match with their sponsors. PR style of fake news is top and advertising type of fake news is the lowest.

Probabilistic based Web Contents Mining (확률 기반 웹 콘텐츠 마이닝)

  • In Web contents mining, it is important to recognize the unlabeled entities and to integrate the sub-linked information and the extracted results. This paper presents the probabilistic based method which can recognize the unlabeled entity by using the Baysien model. Moreover, we propose the method that can use the information of the sub-linked web pages and integrate the extracted results. In the experimental results, we can see that the probabilistic based entity and information integration show the most significant precision.

  • Measurement is used to improve software process and to help calculating software quality. It makes software project to be control and help producing software. Measuring software scale becomes important target in software development. LOC is used to measure the size intentioned aspect and function point is used to measure the function intentioned aspect. This paper discusses measurement method using function point, which fullows proposed rule, and degree of GUI (Graphical User Interface) accesses achieved by applying this measurement to web page. Applying proposed rules to web pages (specially that use much GUI such as shopping mall or auction site), there is advantage that calculate site changes on numerical value by measuring GUI degree when do site administration or update.

  • The peformance and quality of Web sites are often being estimated by the frequency that the users approach its site. This paper suggest how a link-editing method can automatically fix a poor organization by calculating each page's relative popularity, and how improve fix poor pages. Page's relative popularity depended on only cases where the objective Is to make it easier for a user to find the requested data; the faster the access, the better the organization of the Web sites according to tree depth.

A Study of Main Contents Extraction from Web News Pages based on XPath Analysis

  • Although data on the internet can be used in various fields such as source of data of IR(Information Retrieval), Data mining and knowledge information servece, and contains a lot of unnecessary information. The removal of the unnecessary data is a problem to be solved prior to the study of the knowledge-based information service that is based on the data of the web page, in this paper, we solve the problem through the implementation of XTractor(XPath Extractor). Since XPath is used to navigate the attribute data and the data elements in the XML document, the XPath analysis to be carried out through the XTractor. XTractor Extracts main text by html parsing, XPath grouping and detecting the XPath contains the main data. The result, the recognition and precision rate are showed in 97.9%, 93.9%, except for a few cases in a large amount of experimental data and it was confirmed that it is possible to properly extract the main text of the news.

Profiling Green IT Leaders Quantitatively and Qualitatively

  • In this study, we intend to identify key financial variables that can accurately classify Green IT leaders against Green IT followers. In particular, we build and compare single and meta-classifiers to identify the relationship between environmental performance and financial performance, while focusing on selecting and interpreting a final prediction model with a smaller set of financial performance indicators. Our experimental results demonstrate that several key variables representing the size, financial resources, operational efficiency, and risk-taking tendency of an organization can successfully identify Green IT leaders with approximately 90% of accuracy. In addition, we find that Green IT leaders show a higher utilization rate of Web pages as a green marketing channel than Green IT followers while they share common layouts of Web publication to build green IT brands with some differences.

  • 인터넷 접속이 가능한 무선 단말기들의 보급이 크게 증가하면서 무선 인터넷 사용자의 수가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 웹 컨텐츠와 서비스들은 데스크톱 환경에 최적화되어 무선 단말기를 통한 접근이 쉽지 않다. 이런 문제의 해결책으로 개인화를 통해 웹 컨텐츠 및 서비스를 무선 환경에 알맞게 재구성하는 방법은 웹 접근을 위한 새로운 대안으로 제시되고 있다. 본 논문에서 우리는 기존의 개인화 시스템과 달리 웹 서비스 페이지를 중점적으로 개인화하여 제공하는 기법을 제안한다. WebPer는 로그 데이터뿐만 아니라 웹 페이지 코드내 서비스 관련 특징의 평가를 통해 사용자가 자주 접속한 서비스 페이지들의 리스트를 제공한다. 사용자들은 서비스 리스트를 통해 무선 단말기의 각종 제약을 극복함과 동시에 개인화된 서비스를 제공받을 수 있다 우리는 제안된 기법을 기반으로 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하였으며, 다수의 서비스 페이지를 대상으로 무선 환경에서의 서비스 개인화 정도 및 전송 데이터의 효율을 측정하였다.
