현재 빛환경의 평가도구로서 사용하고 있는 여러 조명 시뮬레이션 프로그램들은 대부분 국외에서 생산되고 있는 조명기구의 데이터를 바탕으로 하고 있다. 그렇게 때문에 국내 환경에 맞는 빛환경의 정확한 평가에는 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 연구의 진행은 사용자들의 편의성을 도모하기 위하여 실무에서 많이 활용되고 있는 조명기구를 선별하여 종류별로 분류하였다. 그리고 국내에서 생산되고 있는 조명기구의 데이터 수집을 바탕으로 RADIANCE 엔진을 이용하여 인터넷 웹기반 가시화 시스템 개발을 위한 조명기구의 데이터베이스를 구축하였다.

XML은 웹에서 구조화된 정보나 반-구조화된 정보를 교환하고 저장하는데 있어서 하나의 표준 마크업 언어로 채택되고 있는 추세이다. 웹을 통한 정보교환에 있어서, XML 메시지의 소스 데이터는 Legacy 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있기 때문에 XML 응용과 데이터베이스 시스템과의 원활한 연계가 요구되어진다. 이를 위하여 Oracle8i와 9i 및 Informix 그리고 SQL2000과 같은 DBMS들은 XML을 취급하기 위하여 자신의 DBMS들을 확장하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 방법은 플랫폼-종속적이며 DBMS-종속적이다. 따라서 원활한 XML 응용과 데이터베이스 시스템과의 연계를 위해서는 플랫폼-독립적이며 DBMS-독립적인 연계방안이 요구된다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 XML응용과 기존의 데이터베이스 시스템과의 원활한 연계를 위하여. XML DTD를 토대로 관계형 데이터베이스 스키마를 설계하기 위한 미들웨어 컴포넌트를 설계하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 건설프로젝트에 관련된 기술문서(technical document)를 효율적으로 저장하고 웹(web)을 통하여 신속하고 정확하게 교환할 수 있도록 전자화(digitalization)하는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 먼저 전자화 측면을 고려하여 기술문서의 여러 특성을 분석하였고 이를 바탕으로 저장에는 데이터베이스(database)를, 웹을 통한 교환에는 XML을 적용하여 기술문서를 전자화할 수 있는 방안을 도출하였다. 여기에는 기술문서의 저장과 검색, 부분적인 XML문서의 작성, 기술문서에 적합한 구성항목과 구성체계 설정, 웹에서의 수식과 그래픽 처리 방안이 포함된다. 마지막에는 전형적인 기술문서 중의 하나인 구조계산서(structural design sheets)를 대상으로 하여 데이터베이스에 저장하기 위한 자료구조(data structure) 정의, 실제 XML문서의 작성 및 웹을 통한 교환 등을 부분적으로 구현하여 본 연구에서 제안한 데이터베이스와XML에 기반한 기술문서 전자화 방안의 적정성을 검토하였다.

Objective: Taking action on health inequalities starts with the production of information laying out the problems of inequalities, but Korean society has no national database to view related data at a glance. This study aimed to compare Korean national database with the Public Health Profile (PHP), a health inequality database of the UK. Methods: Data were collected from the websites of government and relevant organizations in the both countries between March and August 2020, which was updated in August 2021. Two themes including Co-occurring substance misuse and mental health issues in mental health and INteractive Health Atlas of Lung conditions in England were selected for comparison in terms of data accessibility, data usability and data visualization. Results: The British PHP is being served on a web-based platform, Fingertips. The data collected at the regional level were presented on 31 health inequality themes. The data are displayed at a level that can be compared between comparable communities, and visualized into various tables and figures. Comparable Korean data were scattered in several themes and websites, and mostly provided as a 17 administrative region base, which was too vast to make a meaningful comparisons. Conclusion: The findings proposed several considerations which could be useful for establishing a database of health inequality in the Korean society.

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is applied to develop a web based monitoring system for manufacturing processes. SNMP agents in manufacturing facilities collects monitoring data from machine controllers and send them to a web-server to be stored in a database by an SNMP managing agent. Clients can access these data using any web-browser. This study developed these agents and MIB (Management Information Base), a protocol to represent the status of machines, that can be used appropriately to monitor manufacturing processes.

In a very time, the Internet has affected the lives of millions of peoples. Some serious advances have been made in software development, information exchange, publishing, database retrieval, educational opportunities, commercial expansion, political awareness, and more. But this network of network is still in its infancy. More advanced search concept, World Wide Web(or Web) will continue to help users move boldly onto the information highway. It help user work effectively and efficiently. In this article, we explain how to utilize web to enhance research in Industrial Engineering area.

최근 실생활이 이루어지고 있는 공간을 모델링하여 컴퓨터를 통해 공간데이터를 구현하고자 하는 요구가 증가하면서 GIS의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 여기에 인터넷 서비스가 제공되면서 GIS분야에 이를 기반으로 한 Web GIS라는 새로운 개념이 나타나고 혁신적인 인터넷GIS 영역이 발달하게 되었다. 이러한 Web GIS 시스템을 통하여 고해상도의 영상지도서비스를 구현하기 위해서는 시스템의 성능 향상이 필수적이다. 본 논문은 Web GIS 시스템을 통하여 고해상도의 영상지도를 서비스하는 경우 속도향상을 위한 방안을 제시하는 것이다. Database 레벨에서 IBM AIX운영시스템과 racle, ArcSDE에 대한 튜닝 작업을 수행하였으며, 응용 시스템 레벨에서는 Tomcat, ArcIMS에 대한 최적화된 설정과 성능 향상을 위한 코딩을 수행하였다. 수행 결과 본 연구를 통하여 제안된 방법으로 고해상도 영상의 Web GIS 시스템의 높은 성능을 보장 하는 시스템을 구축할 수 있었다.
