  • Recently, interest in flight simulators based on HMD and mixed reality is increasing. However, they have limitations in providing various interactions and a sense of presence to pilot wearing HMD. To overcome these limitations, a mixed reality image corresponding to the interaction under the actual cockpit environment must be generated in real time and provided to the pilot. For this purpose, we proposed a mixed reality image generation method, in which the cockpit area including the pilot's body could be extracted from real image obtained from the camera attached to the HMD and then composed with virtual image to generate a high-resolution mixed reality image. Simulation results showed that the proposed method could provide mixed reality images to HMD at 30 Hz frame rate with 99% image composition accuracy.

  • This paper proposes a method to generate a stereoscopic image pair from a digital hologram by considering the situation that digital hologram data is serviced but the end-user does not have the proper display equipment, etc. We use Fresnel transform as the method to convert a digital hologram into an image. Each image of the stereoscopic image pair uses a part of the given digital hologram and the sizes of the two partial digital holograms for the two images are chosen to be the same. Here, the size of the image is adjusted by the size of the partial digital hologram and the disparity between the pair images is adjusted by the distance between the centers of the two partial hologram. This paper also deals with how to adjust the size and the disparity of the images. In this paper the generated stereoscopic images are implemented as an anaglyphic display type to confirm the feeling of distance by wearing the red-blue glasses.

  • In clothing, a tendency of Bisexuality is in case of wearing clothing of the opposite sex, the mixing of modeling principle and characteristic of man and woman, the exclusion characteristic of sexuality that present sexlessness-the third sex. They-Designer Gabrielle Chanel, YSL, Giorgio Armani-give characteristic of man's fashion to women's fashion. However, the consciousness in design is different. Chanel apply principle of man's suit to woman's wear to express authority and power about gender image, hereby she express women liberation and equality of man and woman based on social ideology through fashion especially, she express women's sexual independency and self assurance to her clothing. YSL express liberal and bold women that pursuit reasonal and liberal life in 1970. As he apply tailoed suit's rigidity to women's wear, he made 'pants look' universal in women's wear through“Dress for success”in modern life. Armani apply successful modern image to women's wear, so he express women's image of confident intellegent as well as feminine image. He focus women's new image as man living liberal and indivisual life excluding social category rather than will of equality of man and women. Gernreich break sexual prejudice and release women freely, furthermore, as he express concern of sexuality pursuit liberty of mankind surpassing sex distinction with women liberty. Gianni Versace pursuit mix and extinguishment of sexual image many-sided, and break fixed idea of sex, and reprovide feminine and masculine image. So his design tend homosexuality because he regard women's glamor and ostensible sexuality as standard of beauty, he apply this to man's wear as well as women's wear. With this, he expresses sensitive and liberal man's that break characteristic of Gender that symbolize power and authority in man's wear through 'Without ties'.

Moreover, with well being life style, it shows characteristic that expresses chic sense through fashion. The results of the study were as below. 1. In recent men's wear, sensory feminine that looks young and trendy is being presented through clothes, rather than the image of men who are strong. Therefore, by wearing splendid flower print, bold color and gorgeous accessories, men send off their attractions. 2. The recent body king syndrome gave new aesthetic value on men's body. Therefore, men's body is becoming cultural icon of metro sexual as another face that shows social status and cultural taste. 3. The men's image of metro sexual that is felt from softer skin and hair than women, and well-built body is appealing more through body conscious look. Here, men's body silhouette is being sublimated aesthetically through design with various materials such as see-through and leather etc., and this is body conscious image that can be seen only in metro sexual. Like this, metro sexual fashion sense was expressed by feminine softness sometimes, and beautiful body silhouette sometimes by expressing one's sexiness enough, being away' from conceptual masculine. Therefore, the appearance of metro sexual can be understood that men's body exposure is becoming a social virtue that expresses beauty.

  • This paper proposes a novel method for the omnidirectional camera-based image rendering synchronization system using head mounted display. There are two main processes in the proposed system. The first one is rendering 360-degree images which are remotely photographed to head mounted display. This method is based on transmission control protocol/internet protocol(TCP/IP), and the sequential images are rapidly captured and transmitted to the server using TCP/IP protocol with the byte array data format. Then, the server collects the byte array data, and make them into images. Finally, the observer can see them while wearing head mounted display. The second process is displaying the specific region by detecting the user's head rotation. After extracting the user's head Euler angles from head mounted display's inertial measurement units sensor, the proposed system display the region based on these angles. In the experimental results, rendering the original image at the same resolution in a given network environment causes loss of frame rate, and rendering at the same frame rate results in loss of resolution. Therefore, it is necessary to select optimal parameters considering environmental requirements.

  • The domestic fashion industry of the middle and late 20th century emphasized the importance of a standardized design process; however, the values of differentiated brand individuality have become increasingly important with the qualitative·quantitative growth of designer brands. Therefore, paying attention to designer individuality (or a differentiated element of a designer brand growing up in the domestic fashion industry) this study reestablished factors of the designer brand individuality. An in-depth interview was conducted with 13 designers and consumers for empirical analysis. In order to identify concepts of designer individuality based on the theory of the brand personality by Aaker along with precedent studies, the study devised a theoretical frame to explain a conceptual structure of designer brand individuality as well as reestablish its factors as the designer individuality, design and non-design factors through empirical research. Empirical research derived the designer individuality factors as an external designer image, designer taste, design philosophy and designer personality. Design factors were derived as concept, working process and method, style and formativeness. Non-design factors were also extracted as wearing experience, wearer image, lookbook image, fashion shows and exhibitions. It is meaningful that little empirical research has been conducted on domestic fashion designers who actually run designer brands and that this study helped understand designer brands through a new approach called designer individuality.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate elementary school students' perceptions about science, engineering and technology and their images of scientists, engineers, and technicians. In order to investigate students' images of scientists, engineers, technicians and student's perception of science, engineering, and technology, we used the tools "Draw a scientist at work, Draw an engineer at work, and Draw a technician at work". We have revised the tool DAST (Draw a scientist test), which was used in Fralick et al.'s study (2009). Subjects were 209 6th grade students sampled from an elementary school in G-city in Korea. According to the results of this study, the students' representative image of a scientist was similar to stereotypical scientist image in previous studies, but the students perceived science as a field of research with various professionals. The students' representative image of an engineer was a man with short hair, no beard or mustache, wearing ordinary clothes but no glasses. The engineer was designing or constructing a ship, a robot, a computer, and an airplane. The students' representative image of a technician was a man with short hair, wearing protective goggles and a mask for welding. The technician was fixing a car, a robot, a rocket, etc. and working with wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, welding machines, etc. Many students didn't perceive engineering and technology as fields of research. Also, many students didn't variously perceive engineering and technology as fields and ways of study.
