단부 경계조건을 고려한 매설관의 동적응답 해석 (II) (Analysis of Seismic Response of the Buried Pipeline with Pipe End Conditions (II))

  • This work reports results of our study on the dynamic responses of the buried pipelines both along the axial and the transverse directions under various boundary end conditions. We have considered three cases, i.e., the free ends, the fixed ends, and the fixed-free ends for the axial direction, and three more cases including the guided ends, the simply supported ends, and the supported-guided ends for the transverse direction. In order to investigate the effect of the boundary end conditions for the dynamic responses of the buried pipeline, we have devised a computer program to find the solutions of the formulae on the dynamic responses (displacements, axial strains, and bending strains) under the various boundary end conditions considered in this study. The dynamic behavior of the buried pipelines for the forced vibration is found to exhibit two different forms, a transient response and a steady state response, depending on the time before and after the transfer of a seismic wave on the end of the buried pipeline. The former is identified by a slight change in its behavior before the sinusoidal-shaped seismic wave travels along the whole length of the pipeline whereas the latter by the complete form of a sinusoidal wave when the wave travels throughout the pipeline. The transient response becomes insignificant as the wave speed increases. We have observed a resonance when the mode wavelength matches the wavelength of the seismic wave, where the mode number(k) of resonance for the axial direction is found to be $\overline{\omega}/{\pi}V+1/2$ for the fixed-free ends, $\overline{\omega}/{\pi}V+1$ for the free ends, and $\overline{\omega}/{\pi}V$ for the fixed ends, respectively. By adding 10 more modes to the mode number(k) of resonance, we were able to study all the dynamic responses of the buried pipeline for the axial direction. On the other hand, we have not been able to observe a resonance in the analysis for the transverse direction, because the dynamic responses are found to vanish after the seventh mode. From the results of the dynamic responses at the many points of the pipeline, we have found that the responses appeared to be dependent critically on the boundary end conditions. Such effects are found to be most prominent especially for the maximum values of the displacement and the strain and its position.

  • The present work shows many aspects concerning the use of a numerical wave-based methodology for the computation of the structural response of periodic structures, focusing on cylinders. Taking into account the periodicity of the system, the Bloch-Floquet theorem can be applied leading to an eigenvalue problem, whose solutions are the waves propagation constants and wavemodes of the periodic structure. Two different approaches are presented, instead, for computing the forced response of stiffened structures. The first one, dealing with a Wave Finite Element (WFE) methodology, proved to drastically reduce the problem size in terms of degrees of freedom, with respect to more mature techniques such as the classic FEM. The other approach presented enables the use of the previous technique even when the whole structure can not be considered as periodic. This is the case when two waveguides are connected through one or more joints and/or different waveguides are connected each other. Any approach presented can deal with deterministic excitations and responses in any point. The results show a good agreement with FEM full models. The drastic reduction of DoF (degrees of freedom) is evident, even more when the number of repetitive substructures is high and the substructures itself is modelled in order to get the lowest number of DoF at the boundaries.

공진형 MEMS 가속도계의 음향가진 반응특성 연구 (A Study on Acoustic and Vibratory Response of a MEMS Resonant Accelerometer)

  • It is necessary to study on acoustic and vibratory response of a MEMS resonant accelerometer before applying to military applications. In this paper, we analyze why the resonant accelerometer reacts to an acoustic wave and a high frequency vibration. And we describe experimental results on acoustic and vibratory response of the accelerometer. The accelerometer consists of a proof mass and a dual ended tuning fork. It is a differential resonant accelerometer with arranging a pair of accelerometers. The mode shape was analyzed to find out the input mode frequency by using a FEM simulation. Some experiments regarding the acoustic noise was carried out by using a tweeter and a microphone in the anechoic room. Results showed that the accelerometer reacted to the acoustic wave and vibration which had the input mode frequency as we had expected. We showed experimentally not only that the susceptibility of the accelerometer to an acoustic wave was 70 dB but also that the effectiveness of applying an acoustic absorber and a metal case was 20 dB, respectively. Also, we could minimize the vibratory response property of the accelerometer by installing a IMU with a silicone rubber mount pad.

기반암 전단파속도의 부지응답특성 영향평가 (The Effect of the Shear Wave Velocity of a Seismic Control Point on Site Response Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 부지응답 해석 시 통제운동 지점의 전단파속도가 부지응답해석에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 내진설계기준 연구(II)(건설교통부, 1997)에서는 '재현주기별 지진가속도의 작용 위치는 "기본적인 지진재해도는 보통암지반을 기준으로 평가한다."라고 정의하고 있다. 그러나 보통암지반(SB)의 전단파속도 범위가 $760m/sec{\sim}1500m/sec$로 폭넓게 분포되어 있어, 부지응답 해석 시 통제운동지점의 선택에 따라 해석의 결과에 차이가 발생할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 국내의 대표적인 해성퇴적지반층인 인천 및 부산지역의 상세부지조사결과를 바탕으로 1차원 등가선형해석을 수행하였다. 통제운동지점인 기반암 전단파속도에 따른 지층내 가속도의 크기 변화, 그리고 이에 따른 액상화 안전율 변화정도를 살펴보았다. 또한, 해석결과와 외국의 내진설계기준을 바탕으로 국내 내진설계기준의 개선방향에 대하여 살펴보았다.

  • Numerical analysis of slop stability is presented using seismic displacement, response seismic coefficient, and earthquake response analysis methods. In seismic displacement and response seismic coefficient methods, horizontal static seismic force is considered as 0.2g while vertical static seismic force is not considered in analysis. For earthquake response analysis Hahinoha-wave is applied, It is found from result that analysis using response seismic coefficient method is much more conservative than that using seismic displacement method Also, analysis result using earthquake response analysis method is somewhat less conservative about 25% when compared with that using seismic displacement method.

  • 본 논문에서는 강한 압력파동에 구속된 액체 추진제 연소응답의 지배인자를 규명하고 비정상 거동 특성을 평가한다. 외부 압력섭동에 의해 교란된 탄화수소 계열 액체 추진제의 비정상 거동을 수치계산하고 연소응답의 관점에서 분석한다. 2상 사이의 평형을 고려한 1차원 액적기화 모델을 적용하고 압력파동은 인위적인 조화함수식으로 설정한다 외부 기상의 압력과 온도, 액적의 초기 직경과 내부온도, 외부 압력파동의 진폭과 구동 주파수 등 액체 로켓의 주요 설계인자 및 작동변수의 영향을 고찰한다. 본 연구를 통해 외부 압력파동의 구동 주파수와 외부 기상압력은 연소응답의 크기와 위상을 결정하는 지배인자임이 규명된 반면 외부 기상온도, 액적의 초기 직경과 외부온도 및 압력파동의 진폭 등은 연소응답과 약한 상관관계를 갖거나 그 영향이 미미하다. 기화열 섭동의 위상 및 액적표면과 내부의 파동에너지 전파특성이 연소응답의 크기와 위상을 결정한다.

Structural Response Analysis for Multi-Linked Floating Offshore Structure Based on Fluid-Structure Coupled Analysis

  • Recently, offshore structures for eco-friendly energy, such as wind and solar power, have been developed to address the problem of insufficient land space; in the case of energy generation, they are designed on a considerable scale. Therefore, the scalability of offshore structures is crucial. The Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering (KRISO) developed multi-linked floating offshore structures composed of floating bodies and connection beams for floating photovoltaic systems. Large-scale floating photovoltaic systems are mainly designed in a manner that expands through the connection between modules and demonstrates a difference in structural response with connection conditions. A fluid-structure coupled analysis was performed for the multi-linked floating offshore structures. First, the wave load acting on the multi-linked offshore floating structures was calculated through wave load analysis for various wave load conditions. The response amplitude operators (RAOs) for the motions and structural response of the unit structure were calculated by performing finite element analysis. The effects of connection conditions were analyzed through comparative studies of RAOs and the response's maximum magnitude and occurrence location. Hence, comparing the cases of a hinge connection affecting heave and pitch motions and a fixed connection, the maximum bending stress of the structure decreased by approximately 2.5 times, while the mooring tension increased by approximately 20%, confirmed to be the largest change in bending stress and mooring tension compared to fixed connection. Therefore, the change in structural response according to connection condition makes it possible to design a higher structural safety of the structural member through the hinge connection in the construction of a large-scale multi-linked floating offshore structure for large-scale photovoltaic systems in which some unit structures are connected. However, considering the tension of the mooring line increases, a safety evaluation of the mooring line must be performed.

SASW시험에 의한 위상속도 결정을 위한 임펄스 응답필터 기법 (Impulse Response Filtration Technique for the Determination of Phase Velocities from SASW Measurements)

  • 표면파를 이용하여 지반의 강성을 추정하는 기법인 SASW 시험에서 위상속도(phase volocity)를 결정하기 위해서는 위상각(phase angle)의 전개(unwrapping)가 필수적이다. 포장 구조에서처럼 깊이에 따라 강성의 차이가 현저한 경우는 기존의 위상각 전개방식으조는 정확한 위상속도를 결정하기가 용이하지 않다. 이는 기존의 위상각 전개방식은 주위상각(principal phase angle)에 2n의 정수배를 더하는 것인데, 위상각 스펙트럼(phase spectrum)에서 정수배를 결정하는 데에 어려움이 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서, 임펄스 응답 필터 기법(Impulse Response Filtration Technique), 또는 IRF기법이라고 하는 새로운 위상각 분석 기법을 제안하였다. IRF 기법의 원리는 임펄스 응답을 필터 처리함으로써 파군(wave group)을 분리하는 것인데,파군의 분리는 임펄스 응답에 대한 Gabor spectrogram을 분석한 정보를 근거로 한다. Gabor spectrogram은 전파되는 파의 에너지를 주파수-시간 공간에서 나타내는 contour 그림으로서, 파군의 전파 상황을 시각적으로 표현하는 수단이다. 이렇게 필터 처리된 임펄스 응답을 이용하면, 위상각 스펙트럼의 분석을 정확하게 할 수 있으며, 위상각의 전개에 있어서 난해함을 제거할 수 있다. 끝으로, 전쳔적인 포장 구조에 대하여 이론적으로 SASW 시험을 모사하였으며, 그 결과를 이용하여 IRF기법의 효용성을 입증하였다.

Development of Site Classification System and Modification of Design Response Spectra Considering Geotechnical Characteristics in Korea

  • Site response analyses were performed based on equivalent linear technique using shear wave velocity profiles of 162 sites collected around the Korean peninsula. The site characteristics, particularly the shear wave velocities and the depth to the bedrock, are compared to those in the western United States. The results show that the site-response coefficients based on the mean shear velocity of the top 30m ($V_{S30}$) suggested in the current code underestimates the motion in short-period ranges and overestimates the motion in mid-period ranges. The current Korean code based on UBC is required to be modified considering site characteristics in Korea for the reliable estimation of site amplification. From the results of numerical estimations, new regression curves were derived between site coefficients ($F_{a}\;and\;F_{v}$) and the fundamental site periods, and site coefficients were grouped based on site periods with reasonable standard deviations compared to site classification based on $V_{S30}$. Finally, new site classification system and modification of design response spectra are recommended considering geotechnical characteristics in Korea.

부유식 인양크레인의 운동응답특성과 구조응답 평가 (A Structural Response Estimation and Response Amplitude Operator of Floating Type Salvage Crane)

  • 선박 인양크레인은 선박을 안전하게 인양하기 위한 장비로서 이러한 형태의 크레인은 조선소의 대형 선박이나 항만 컨테이너 등에서 많이 사용되고 있다. 이와 같은 인양크레인은 육상에 설치되어 운용되고 이를 사용하기 위해서는 항만시설이 구축되어야 한다. 이 논문에서는 부유식 인양크레인의 운동응답특성과 파 강제력을 산출하고 부유식 인양크레인의 구조응답 평가를 수행하였다.
