운암지 수변공원 설계 (Design of Unam-Ji Waterfront Park)

  • This paper presents a design of urban waterfront park using agricultural reservoir in urban fringe area to meet increasing leisure demand for urban resident and to improve resident's quality of life through preventing the reservoir from urban use after reclamation. The site, Unam-Ji, is located on northern part of Taegu metropolitan area, having 17,791 square meters. We had designed this park from 1997 to 1998. After analyzed such factor as accessibility, current land uses, topography, hydrology, vegetation and landscape, climate, and soil, we constructed basic design scheme and principes such as conservation of natural resources, meeting user's recreation demands, providing opportunities for experiencing natural process, integrating naturalness and amenity of the site, and comfortable place with natural dynamism. Based on these principles, we have designed Unam-Ji waterfront park having intrinsic characteristics of the site, maintaining water quality and ecological restoration and improving water-based recreation opportunities. After evaluation of such criteria of design alternative as land use and circulation, spatial organization, convenience for use of and maintenance, conservation of natural environment, and degree of achieving planning and design goals, and maintaining landscape, we have visualized and formalized waterfront park in design process, which is consisted of four squares-- green square for multiple uses, water-based recreation square, pedestrian roads and decks near waterfront, performance square and fords near waterfront. In conclusion, this waterfront park design contributes to improve quality of urban development through preserving agricultural as an important component of urban water system and provide important planning and design implications in urban open space planning.

친수 휴양활동공간 계획을 위한 광역수준의 부지 적합성 평가 (A Study on the Evaluation of Wide-scale Site Suitability for Water-friendly Recreation Area Planning)

  • 본 연구는 비교적 광역규모인 낙동강 약 35km를 대상으로 어느 공간이 환경친화적 친수 휴양공간으로서 개발잠재력이 큰지에 대한 적지선정의 타당성을 검토해 보고, 또한 향후 이 지역의 광역권 휴양계획 수립을 위한 기초자료 제공 및 타 지역으로의 적용가능성이란 측면에서 새로운 방법론을 모색해 보는데 그 의의를 찾을 수 있었다. 연구결과를 요약해 보면 아래와 같다. Mesh법에 의한 사례지의 격자구분 결과, 총 42개의 격자단위로 분류되었다. 또한, 평가지표의 분석결과, 총 20개로 설정되었으며, 이들은 중요도에 따라 다시 4가지의 휴양활동 유형별로 귀속되었다. 각 휴양활동 종류별 평가지표들의 중요성 정도를 분석해 본 결과, 필수요소는 물 이용을 중심으로 한 친수 위락활동공간에서 8개로 가장 많은 지표를 포함하고 있었으며, 충분요소는 정적 친수 휴양활동 공간에서 12개로 가장 많았다. 구분된 각 격자별 최소 요구조건 평가인 1차 평가를 수행한 결과, 최소요구조건을 충족시키고 있는 격자는 전체 42개 중 32개의 격자로 나타났다. 휴양활동 종류별로 최소요구조건을 충족시키는 격자는 연구대상지의 전 구간에 걸쳐 비교적 고른 분포를 나타내고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 구체적인 부지 평가인 2차 평가 결과, 우선 자연체험 및 경관생태학습 공간에서는 총 6개의 격자, 운동 및 레크리에이션 중심의 수변 위락활동 공간은 총 4개, 물 이용을 중심으로 한 친수 위락활동 공간으로서는 1개 격자, 마지막으로 정적 친수 휴양활동 공간에 대한 각 격자별 적합성 평가 결과에서는 총 4개의 격자가 매우 적합한 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 본 연구에서 수행된 격자단위 평가 결과는 지형적 조건 등으로 인해 인접 격자로 확대 및 축소될 수 있다. 따라서 경계의 재조정을 통한 격자형태 및 크기의 변형을 고려한 기본계획을 수립하는 것이 보다 더 타당할 것으로 사료된다.

휴양림 조성 대상지 선정을 위한 타당성 평가 연구 - 경기도 광주시를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Feasibility Assessment for Selecting Recreation Forest Sites: The Case of Gwangju-si in Gyeonggi-do)

  • This study sought to contribute to the revitalization of local economy by developing a natural recreation forest, which is the base of ecotourism recreation, through utilizing forest resources and the natural environment of Gwangju-si. The study conducted a feasibility assessment through on-site surveys such as the suitability of the candidate sites, location analysis, and possibility of damage to the forest, before developing recreation forest sites in Gwangju-si and, based on the result, selected appropriate subject sites. The candidates for this study were 5 forest sites such as one site in the Mokheon-dong area, two in the Docheok-myeon area, and one in the Toechon-myeon area. For this study, the current status of the natural recreation forest was surveyed, its feasibility index and assessment process were investigated, and the local status and related regulations of Gyeonggi-do and Gwangju-si were reviewed. The final subject sites were selected after feasibility assessment utilizing assessment index in order to evaluate the candidate sites. The feasibility assessment was conducted after three separate on-site surveys for each candidate site between October 2018 and January 2019 utilizing "The Feasibility Assessment Criteria for Natural Recreation Forest (Notification 2018-71)" of the Korean Forest Service. The items instrumental to the feasibility assessment were classified into landscape, location, water system, induction of recreation, and development condition; the assessment was made after redefining each item into detailed items. Through this process, the Usan-ri area was selected as the final site for developing natural recreation forest, having obtained more than 100 points according to "The Feasibility Assessment Criteria for Natural Recreation Forest" of the Korean Forest Service. In order to develop natural recreation forest in the Usan-ri area in the future, further discussion is necessary with the relevant departments in consideration of the degree of ecological zoning map.

도시하천의 환경특성과 친자연적 계획전략 - 춘천시 공지천을 대상으로 - (Environmental Characteristics and Nature-friendly Planning Strategies for an Urban Stream - The Case of Chuncheon's Gongji Stream -)

  • This study analyzed characteristics of natural and human environments in Chuncheon's Gongji stream, and suggested nature-friendly planning strategies for self-purification of water quality, biodiversity improvement and conservative waterfront recreation. The environmental analysis included streambed structures, floodplain soils, water quality, vegetation, wildlife, and human facilities. Natural colonization of vegetation for the middle section of the study stream was obstructed by a straightened concrete revetment of baseflow channel, and vehicle movement and concrete parking lots across the floodplain. These human disturbances also deteriorated the naturalness of the stream landscape and limited habitation of bird species. However, natural sedimented wetlands in half of the channel width for the lower section of the stream contributed to a desirable vegetational landscape and greater bird occurrence. Based on BOD measurements, water quality of the stream fell under class $II{\sim}III$ of the stream water-quality standard, but it was worse around sewage outlets due to incomplete sewage collection especially during the dry season. Dominant fish species included typical inhabitants of good water-quality streams that are tolerant of adverse habitat changes. Nature-friendly planning strategies were established based on analysis of the environmental characteristics. They focused on not merely spatial zoning and layout divided into four zones - preservation, partial preservation, conservation and use -, but close-to-nature channel revetment techniques, natural water-purification facilities, biotope diversification, and water-friendly recreation and circulation. Strategies pursued both renewal of stream naturalness and hydraulic stability of streamflow by minimizing transformation of natural channel micro-topography and biotope, and by reflecting natural traces of streambed structures such as revetment scour and sedimentation.

산림공익기능 증진 관련 정책 및 조치에 관한 연구 (Study on Policies and Actions Associated with Promotion of Social and Environmental Benefits of Forest)

  • 우리나라 산림공익기능 증진 관련 정책 및 조치는 2001년 산림법 체계에서 산림기본법 중심의 기능별 법체계 개편 이후 산림법의 분법화가 본격적으로 진행되면서 새롭게 제정된 법령에 근거하여 다양한 정책이 추진되고 있다. 이러한 정책에는 1970년대부터 수원함양림조성, 사방사업 등 국민들의 일상생활과 크게 밀접하지 않은 수자원 보전기능과 국토보전유지기능이 중요한 산림공익기능 증진 정책으로 지속적으로 추진되고 있다. 특히 최근에는 보건휴양기능, 산림생태계와 동 식물 보전관리의 중요성에 따른 생물다양성보전기능 정책이 활발히 추진되고 있다. 이중 보건휴양기능은 주 5일제의 정착 이후 다양한 산림휴양수요에 적극 대응하기 위하여 예산규모는 적지만 다양한 정책이 추진되고 있는 것이 특징적이다. 이는 보건휴양기능이 국민의 일상생활과 밀접하게 관련되어 있는 기능으로서 짧은 기간에 정부투자의 가시적인 성과와 국민들로부터 높은 호응을 얻을 수 있기 때문으로 판단된다.

낙동강 하구언 을숙도 및 하류지역의 쾌적 환경 자원의 보전과 개발에 대한 주민의 태도 (The Resident Attitude for Preservation and Development of Amenity in Eulsuk Island and Its Downstream Area at Estuary of Nakdong River in Korea)

  • The resident attitude for preservation and development of amenity in Eulsuk island and its downstream area at estuary of Nakdong river in Korea were investigated by the questionnaires and the field surveys. Based on the results, the characteristics of this study area are the natural ecological preservation area, natural environmental preservation area and curtural assets for migratory birds. And there are a estuary bank, a Dadae beach and a Molundae park. Special amenities are (1) the light (sunrise, sunset etc), (2) the water(river, sea etc.), (3) the air(fresh wind, beautiful sound etc.), (4) the land space(beautiful view, recreation field, reed area, pine forest etc.) and (5) the stream(dancing of migratory birds, water flow, folk dance, history remains etc.). But at present, the environmental qualities as health, aesthetics safety, amenity and culture are deteriorated by development. So the number of migratory birds are decreasing. The residents desired that in future this area be use for the recreation space, the park and the natural leaning fields etc, as well as the restoration of destroyed resources.

도시계획지역 내 농경지의 잔여경관요소에 대한 경관생태학적 평가 및 보존 방안 (Evaluation and Conservation of Remaining Landscape Elements in Agricultural Land in Urban Planning Areas)

  • This study looked at worked on remaining landscapes in terms of landscape ecology. It presented some ways to conserve and to activate remaining landscapes with examples of agricultural lands in Hwa-won Gun, Ok-po Myun. The results are as follows: We investigated 20 remaining landscape types and 90 remaining landscapes, and classified them in terms of forest and water zones. To evaluate the investigated remaining landscapes, we produced a grading system using 8 criteria such as vitality, stability, field suitability, type of inner scenery formation, connection, recreation, and culture/tradition. Our evaluation of the vitality found that Grade I had the mast remaining landscapes; Grade II had 28, Grade III had 16, Grade V had four, and Grade IV had none. We evaluated the outer landscape influence using 3 criteria such as divisibility, vitality, and indication. We found from evaluating the type of inner scenery formation that most of the landscapes superior to Grade III were adjacent to water zones and that linear landscapes evaluated as Grade I, and II played an important role in this connection. We evaluated the recreation probability using marks, frequencies, and emergencies of peculiar types. Based on the results, we proposed some ways to conserve and to activate the remaining landscapes classified by grades using the results of the last evaluation. Additionally, we proposed some ways to activate the restoration of the linear axis of the green space function the formation of a buffer green space around matric space, the improvement of the axis of the green space center, and the formation of additional green tracts of land to play the role of stepping stones. We proposed the possibility of improving uniformed farm land structures. This study did not consider the weighting values of the evaluation index. Therefore a more objective study will be needed with an expert-survey in the future.

한강의 수질과 수질규준에 관한 고찰 (Studies on the Water Quality of the Han River Water, and Water Quality Standards)

  • Monthly mean values for EDTA hardness in the Han River water were determined for March 1966 through May 1967. The hardness was retained a range of 22-59 mg/L the maximum value of 59 mg/L was approached in the months of mid-winter, indicating a seasonal variation. The annual ranges of Ca and Mg were 3.7-9.1 mg/L, 1.5-10.4 mg/L, respectively. The annual range of Mg:Ca ratio was 0.18-2.60. And the hardness correlated closely with Mg volume. In Korea, fortunately, most river waters are not yet suffering from damaging pollution. We must try to establish our water quality criteria based on scientific data, and make research recommendations for the following water uses; public water supplies, aquatic life and wildlife, industry, recreation and aesthetics.

유원지 주변 산책로의 환경개선을 위한 이용만족도 결정요인 분석 - 대구광역시 수성유원지를 대상으로 - (An Analysis on the Determining Factors of Satisfaction for Environmental Improvement of Trails around Recreation Park - Focused on Suseong Recreation Park in Daegu -)

  • 본 연구는 대구광역시의 수성유원지 이용자들을 대상으로 이용행태 및 시설 만족도를 분석하여 수성유원지 산책로의 환경개선을 위한 실질적인 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이에 수성유원지에 대한 현장조사 및 설문조사를 토대로 유원지 내 산책로에 대한 만족요인 분석을 실시하였다. 우선, 이용자들의 이용행태를 살펴보면, 이용자의 48.0%가 산책을 목적으로 수성유원지를 방문하였으며, 주당 평균 1~2회 이용비율이 가장 높았고, 1회 평균이용시간은 80.4분으로 분석되었다. 산책로의 경우 주당 1회 이용과 5회 이상의 이용이 각각 38.1%와 23.8%로 높게 나타났으며, 평균 이용시간은 45.4분으로 조사되었다. 시설요소에 대한 만족도 분석결과, 산책로의 관리상태, 노선 길이, 경사도, 주변의 자연경관 등이 3.4점 이상의 높은 만족도를 보인 반면, 유원지의 수질오염도와 출입구 개수 및 주차장은 각각 2.75점, 2.78점의 낮은 만족도로 평가되었다. 산책로의 전체 만족도에 대한 결정요인을 분석한 결과, 이용시설, 보행 편의성, 주변경관, 쾌적성, 소음 등의 인자가 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히, 보행 편의성 인자의 표준화 계수가 0.533으로 가장 높게 나타나, 산책로의 이용만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 요인으로 평가되었다. 이러한 결과는 향후 수성유원지 산책로의 환경개선뿐만 아니라, 유사 수변산책로 계획과 유지관리에 필요한 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 판단된다.

무등산 도립공원의 사회.생태적 평가기준에 의한 현 진영상태의 평가와 관리방안 (Evaluation of the Present Managerial Conditions Based on the Established Social and Ecological Impact Standards and Some Suggestions)

  • Visitor Impact Management (VIM) framework was developed in the United States to help recreation resources management to be more systematic and effective. It consists of a series of steps from examining problems and their causes to planning and implementing management strategies in order to solve the problems. This study was conducted to find management problems in Moodeung-san Provincial Park and suggest some alternatives based on VIM framework. Data were collected by on-site survey and a mail-back questionnaire in August of 1996 in Moodeung-san Provincial Park. Out of 1173, 519 respondents (44.2%) were used for the study. According to the study results, there were differences between users' perceptions about the present use of the park and the users' personal norms about the use of the park. That is, while 46% of the respondents considered the park should be used as 'the place for calm and meditiation,' only 19% of the respondents considered the park had been used as 'the place for calm and meditation.' Three social indicators (the number of users, the number of seeing others' inconsiderate behaviors, and the crime) and four ecological indicators (littering, human waste, trail conditions, and water quality of Moodeung-san valleys) were selected for the major managerial indicators of the study area. Generally, five out of 7 selected indicators were in worse conditions than the evaluative standards, Five indicators which were evaluated as in worse conditions include two social indicators (the number of users and the number of seeing others' inconsiderate behaviors) and three ecological indicators (littering, human waste and trail conditions). Two other indicators such as water quality of Moodeung-san valley and the crime were identified to be important for users' recreational experience. More concerns and systematic investigations on these indicators are needed. This study discussed some management strategies to solve the identified problems, and introduced how mangers may make use of these information for recreation resource menagement in the park.
