The paper deals with a study on an electronic watering device. The system is designed to scan 10 probes so that they detect moisture of soil. Input potentials are compared with reference level before the system is watering. rt provides a main clock oscillator and a control oscillator for the system control, and a programmable unijunction transistor is used for the control circuit. The reference levels are adjustable so as to water various soils. The device is tested for two different sails of moisture content ranging from 6 to 51%. It works at any input level higher than 0.6 V compared to the reference level.
The experiment was implemented to introduce the drainage electrode irrigation system as early as possible after transplanting in order to save the nutrient solution in a convenient way. Drainage electrode irrigation method was introduced 15, 19 or 22 days after transplanting after irrigation was firstly controlled by time clock. Time clock method was also treated as a control plot. Drainage electrode method could be adopted from 15 days after transplanting, 15 days earlier than the present introducing time. The growth and yield was better in treatments with drainage electrode method. Water and fertilizer use efficiency were the highest in the treatment of 15 days, the lowest in time clock treatment.

With time, the stable management of turbidity is becoming more important in the water treatment process. So optimization of flocculation is important for the improvement of the sedimentation efficiency. we evaluated the hydrodynamic behavior in the rotation direction (clock-wise, counterclock-wise) of the flocculator in the flocculation basin using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The results of the CFD simulation, in cases where flocculators rotate in a clockwise direction, a stronger flow is formed near the surface of the water where the rotating direction and current of flow correspond. The variance and standard deviation of the flux are about 8.5 and 2.9 respectively. In contrast, in the case of a counterclockwise direction, a stronger flow is formed near the bottom of the basin. The variance and standard deviation of the flux are about 5.3 and 2.3, respectively. The effluent flux is affected more by the third flocculator spin than the first and second flocculator spins. The third flocculator spinning in the counterclockwise direction is better for the uniform flow of the sedimentation basin than the third flocculator spinning in the clockwise direction
This study aims at the estimation of dam failure time and dam failure scenario analysis of and applied to Yeoncheon Dam which was collapsed August 1st 1999, using HEC-HMS, DAMBRK-FLDWAV simulation model. As the result of the rainfall-runoff simulation, the lancet flood amount of the Yeoncheon Dam site was $10,324\;m^3/sec$ and the total outflow was $1,263.90\;million\;m^3$. For the dam failure time estimation, 13 scenarios were assumed including dam failure duration time and starting time, which reviewed to the runoff results. The simulation time was established with 30 minutes intervals between one o'clock to 4 o'clock in the morning on August 1, 1999 for the setup standard for each case of the dam failure time estimation, considering the arrival time of the flood, when the actually measured water level was sharply raising at Jeongok station area of the Yeoncheon Dam downstream, As results, dam failure arrival time could be estimated at 02:45 a.m., August 1st 1999 and duration time could be also 30 minutes. Those results and procedure could suggest how and when dam failure occurs and analyzes.

We have examined the pollutant load of combined sewer in dry days. Two monitoring sites (C-1, C-2) were equipped with an flowmeter. Monitoring was conducted from September 2004 to April 2006 for 20 months during dry days. Flowrate and concentration of pollutants are lowest from 3 to 6 o'clock, and it is high at 9, 12 and 21 o'clock. Most of organic matters exist in the dissolved state. The results show that pollution loads in C-2 area were 4.5-7.2 times higher than in C-1. Pollutant loads were high on Saturdays. Pollutant loads (kg/ha/day) of C-2 were 1.1-3.1 times higher those of C-1. However there was no significant difference in winter. Analysis of correlation coefficient of water quality parameter indicates that besides of flowrate all items in C-1 site have tight relationship respectively (p<0.01). In C-2 site, correlation coefficient of TP-SS, TP-TN, TP-flowrate, BOD-flowrate, BOD-SS and TN-TP are statistically significant (p<0.01).

We study the internal structure under the artificial mountain of Heumkyeonggak-nu, a Korean water-powered clock in the early Joseon dynasty. All the puppets on the artificial mountain are driven by the rotational force generated by the water wheel at their designated time. We design a model that work with three parts of the artificial mountain. At the upper part of the artificial mountain to the east, west, north and south, there are four puppets called the Four Mystical Animal Divinity and four ladies called the Jade Lady respectively. The former rotates a quarter every double hour and the latter rings the bell every hour. In the middle part of this mountain is the timekeeping platform with four puppets; the Timekeeping Official (Hour Jack), the Bell-, Drum-, and Gong-Warriors. The Hour Jack controls time with three warriors each hitting his own bell, drum, and gong, respectively. In the plain there are 12 Jade Lady puppets (the lower ladies) combined with 12 Oriental Animal Deity puppets. In his own time a lady doll pops out of the hole and her animal doll gets up. Two hours later, the animal deity lies down and his lady hides in the artificial plain. These puppets are regularly moved by the signal such as iron balls, bumps, levers, and so on. We can use balls and bumps to explain the concept of the Jujeon system. Iron balls were used to manipulate puppets of the timekeeping mechanism in Borugak-nu, another Korean water-powered clock in Joseon dynasty, which was developed earlier than Heumgyeonggak-nu. According to the North Korea's previous study (Choi, 1974), it is obvious that bumps were used in the internal structure of Heumgyeonggak-nu. In 1669, The armillary clock made by Song, I-young was also utilized bumps. Finally we presented mock-ups of three timekeeping systems.
This experiment was conducted to find out the effects on soybean plant exposed with various concentration and different fumigation periods of ammonia gas ($0.2mg/{\ell}$). The yield of soybean, nitrogen and, chlorophyll contents in leaves, and percentage of destroyed leaf area were investigated. The results were summarized as: 1. The soybean yield losses and percentage of destroyed leaf area were positively correlated with concentration of inflicting ammonia gas respectively. The yield losses was higher at noon exposure time than at night exposure time. 2. The soybean yield was negatively correlated with the percentage of destroyed leaf area. 3. The highest percentage of destroyed leaf area had at afternoon exposure time (14:00-15:00 o'clock) by $0.2mg/{\ell}$ ammonia gas fumigation, and the lowest one had at midnight exposure time (22:00-23:00 o'clock). 4. According to the increasing concentration of ammonia gas, the total and water soluble nitrogen contents in soybean leaves were increased, but the contents of chlorphyll b on decreasing rate. 5. The nitrogen contents in plant were higher in the afternoon exposure than in the morning, but the contents of chlorophyll were higher at night time exposure than at day time. 6. The highest decreasing of absorption spectra of chlorohpyll in chloroplast had at 10:00-11:00 o'clock on fumigation time and the lowest one had at 22:00-23:00 o'clock.

This study was conducted to provide a national forest management method for natural Pinus densiflora forest stands in central South Korea based on growth characteristics and water relations. Average stand volume per hectare was 259.3㎥ in the pine study site. Basal area, volume, annual mean increment and periodic annual increment of DBH for 10 years at each slope aspect appeared to decrease as the aspect shifts from north to south. Stems per hectare showed the lowest value at the northern aspect. Maximum water potentials measured between 12 and 14 o'clock were analyzed by aspect and elevation. Water potential of pine decreased as the aspect changed from north to south, and water potential increased at lower elevations. Soil water content for the pine stands tended to decrease as the aspect shifted from north to south. Water potential and soil moisture content were highly correlated. Soil water deficits indicate that pines have a higher moisture requirement on the ridge and the southern aspect.
With time, the stable management of turbidity is becoming more important in the water treatment process. So optimization of coagulation is important for the improvement of the sedimentation efficiency. we evaluated the mixing and hydrodynamic behavior in the coagulation basin using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The items for evaluation are a location and the speed of agitator and angle of an injection pipe. The results of the CFD simulation, the efficacy of mixing in the coagulation basin was not affected according to one or two injection pipe and angle of an injection pipe. If there is a agitator near outlet of coagulation basin, the efficacy of mixing don't improve even though the speed of agitator increase. So location of agitator is perfect when it locate center at the inlet stream. The coagulation basin at this study, the proper speed of agitator is form 20rpm to 30rpm.
GPS observation has been performed at Khon Kaen in northeast Thailand to investigate the Precipitable Water Vapor (PWV) change since August 2001 by using a Trimble 4000SSi receiver. The data obtained in the period from March to June in 2002 were processed by using CAMIT software to obtain the Zenith Tropospheric Delay (ZTD) at every one hour referring to some IGS stations around Thailand. We estimated the Zenith Hydrostatic Delay (ZHD) at every three hours with barometer data at Khon Kaen of Thai Meteorological Department, The Zenith Wet Delay (ZWD) was obtained by subtracting ZHD from ZTD and PWV can be calculated from ZTD. The results obtained shows that PWV changes with a large amplitude in March and April before the monsoon onset, and also we can see steep PWV increases before rain and decreases after rain. In May and June after the onset, the PWV is almost constant to be 60 to 70 mm, but there is a semi-diurnal change which has high PWV values at about 8 and 20 o'clock in local time.
