변조된 TiO2 광촉매를 이용한 벽지제조와 대기 중의 NO 제거 효과 (Preparation of Wall Paper Coated with Modified TiO2 and Their Photocatalytic Effects for Removal of NO in Air)

  • 본 연구에서는 광촉매의 광자효율을 증가시키고, 물성을 변화시켜 광촉매 성능을 향상시키기 위하여, 자동차 폐 촉매에서 추출된 귀금속 용액 또는 $H_2PtCl_6$ 용액을 수열합성법에 의해 제조된 $TiO_2$와 상업용 $TiO_2$인 P-25(Degussa Co.)를 함침시켜 변조된 광촉매를 제조하였다. 그리고 변조된 광촉매는 ICP-AES, EDS, UV-DRS, XRD, XANES, SEM에 이용하여 물성분석 하였다. 그리고 폐 자동차 촉매전환기의 추출용액을 함침시킨 광촉매를 변조하여 band-gap energy를 1.76eV(705 nm)의 가시광 영역까지 조절하였다. 변조된 광촉매는 PVC가 주성분인 벽지 코팅제와 농도별로 혼합하여 광화학반응을 위한 기능성 도료를 제조하였다. 이 도료를 사용하여 광촉매가 코팅된 기능성 벽지를 제조하였으며, 제조된 벽지의 광촉매 성능을 평가하였다. 반응모델 물질로 NO를 이용하여 촉매 조성, 반응물 농도, 벽지의 촉매 담지량, 반응시간에 따른 광 화학반응속도를 측정하였다. 그 결과 폐 자동차 촉매전환기의 추출용액으로 변조된 $TiO_2$의 광촉매 활성이 크게 증가하였음을 알 수 있었고 그 중에서도 P-25에 추출용액을 함침시킨 P-25(w)의 광촉매가 가장 우수한 광촉매활성도를 나타내었다.

모의 실험주택 모니터링 결과를 활용한 실내공기 및 바닥먼지 중 Di(2-ethyl-hexyl) phthalate (DEHP)의 이론적 총량 비율 산출 (Calculation of the Theoretical Total Amount Ratio of Di(2-ethyl-hexyl) Phthalate in Indoor Air and Floor Dust in a Test House)

  • Background: Human exposure to phthalates in indoor environments occurs via dermal absorption, oral ingestion of indoor dust, and inhalation of indoor air. However, systematic studies to investigate the exposure rate to phthalates among the three exposure routes in indoor environments are currently limited. Objectives: A theoretical exposure ratio between inhalation and oral exposure was calculated based on the total amount of di(2-ethyl-hexyl) phthalate (DEHP) emitted into indoor air and deposited into floor dust in a test house. Methods: Flooring and wallpaper containing DEHP were installed in a test house and the concentration of DEHP in both indoor air and floor dust were monitored for five months. Based on the measured DEHP concentrations, the theoretical total amount ratio of DEHP that could be exposed through inhalation and oral ingestion was calculated. Results: Considering the period of operation in the test house, the theoretical total amount of DEHP through inhalation and oral ingestion exposures in the entire test house space was calculated to be 0.014 mg and 5.5 mg, respectively. The exposure ratio of the two routes between inhalation and oral exposure corresponding to the total DEHP amount in flooring and wallpaper was 6.0×10-7% and 2.3×10-4%, indicating that theoretical oral exposure to DEHP is approximately 380 times higher than inhalation. Conclusions: Monitoring results from a test house has shown that oral exposure is the main exposure route for DEHP in indoor environments. The experimental design employed in this study and theoretical exposure ratio obtained can be applied to investigate actual exposure to DEHP and to determine the exposure characteristics of various types of semi-volatile organic compounds.

실내장식용 섬유소재의 흡음성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Noise Absorption of Textiles for Interiors)

  • The purpose of this study is to help to prevent daily noises by measuring the noise absorption coefficient of the non-woven fabrics and wallpapers which are commonly used in lining and noise absorption coefficient of lining curtain. Seven types of fiber materials for the interior decoration, one non-woven fabric for the wallpaper linings, and two types of textiles for curtain linings are used as the experimental materials in this study. The noise absorption coefficient of the noise absorbents were measured by using impedance tube. And the thermal transmittance were measured by using thermal transmittance tester. The results of this study are as follows; Observing the noise absorption efficiency of each experimental materials, the combination of fiber materials and linings, the noise absorption efficiency of cotton, polyester and silk were similar and for the experimental materials of flax, rayon, acrylic and nylon were resulted the similar noise absorption efficiency. The result of combination of fiber material and black fabric was highest among the combined linings. For the combination of fiber material and non-woven fabric, double layers of non-woven fabric resulted slightly higher noise absorption coefficient result than single layer of non-woven fabric. The thermal transmittance and the sound absorbents of experimental materials were affected by the thickness, density and layer of air of the experimental materials.

컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용한 한옥 유니트형 노인복지시설 모델 제시 (Model Development of Unit-care Welfare Facility for a Traditional Korean House Using Computer Graphics)

  • This paper presents computer graphics applying the traditional Korean house(Hanok) style interior to unit-care space of Welfare Facility and proposes the possibility as interior design and construction materials. In this paper, the proposed computer graphic-based model is a single-story building that provides convenient traffic between rooms. Computer graphic-based model is presented by Auto CAD, 3D program (Sketch-UP v.8), rendering program (Podium v.2) based on the traditional Korean house and related work of unit-care welfare facility. Computer graphic-based model that combined unit-care and the traditional Korean house has the following characteristics. In each room of living space, wallpaper and flooring Korean paper(Hnaji) is considered and windows, door, furniture of traditional pattern were placed. The living room(Daechung) that is representative of the traditional Korean house and the corridor (toenmaru) are the elements to save the image of the traditional Korean house as much as possible. Especially, the corridor (toenmaru) is placed to conveniently use in nursing-care facility and home-care support facility. A public space is placed around the inside court (An-madang), while the living space (unit-care) has a sense of independence by separation. Bathroom and kitchen have a modern design for functionality than aesthetic elements.

가정용 가구의 색채에 관한 소비자 연구 (A Study on Consumers' Recognition of Home Furniture Colors)

  • The survey of consumers' recognition of home furniture colors was conducted targeting 32 males and 68 females from 20's to 60's. The results are as follows. The first, in terms of colors, when they were asked of where was the most important place in a house, the first place they thought of was the color of wallpaper and the second was the color of furniture. The second, in terms of home furniture colors, a sofa was put the most importance on and a living room dresser was the next. The third, they preferred natural wood color as home furniture and the next color was achromatic colors. The forth, the most preferred wood color was a walnut and the next was a ginkgo tree color. The fifth, the most preferred color was white and the next was tertiary colors when they were asked to paint their home furniture. The sixth, 88% participants in the survey responded that home furniture colors would much influence on our lives. In conclusion, most consumers recognize the importance of furniture colors and they prefer the use of hardwood for a natural feeling as long as they can afford.

인테리어 내장재의 고급감에 관한 시각 및 촉각변수의 수량화 모형 개발 (Development of Quantification Models on Visual and Tactile Design Characteristics for the Luxuriousness of Interior Covering Materials)

  • Affective aspects of design attributes such as color, Pattern, and texture are important to the overall impression and the success of interior products. Among all the interior materials, wallpapers and flooring materials take up largest construction area and they are main components in creating affective impression for customers. This study aims to investigate the relationship between luxuriousness and related affective variables and design elements of wallpapers and flooring materials. The approach consists of 3 steps: (1) selecting related affective features and product design attributes through a literature survey, opinion of expert panel, and focus group interview, (2) conducting evaluation experiments, and (3) developing Kansei models using multivariate statistical analysis and analyzing critical attributes. Evaluation experiment was conducted using a questionnaire made up of 7-point scale and 100-point scale and 30 housewives and 20 interior designers participated in the evaluation experiment. The result of evaluation was analyzed through principal component regression and quantification I analysis. As a result of analyzing the survey data, the relationship between luxuriousness and related affective features and product design attributes was identified, moreover a optimal combination of the design component was identified. Consequently, it is expected that the results of the study would be a basis of the concept of emotion-based design by giving insights about how customers perceive the luxuriousness and suggesting the optimal combination, and providing specific quantitative design guidelines.

아동 영재교육시설 교육공간의 실내디자인 특성에 관한 사례조사 및 비교 (A Case Study on the Spatial Characteristics of Classroom in Educational Institution for the Gifted Children)

  • In Korea, special education for the gifted is being activated in school systems, and many researches regarding this special education are being conducted. However, despite its rich research on the programs of this special education, there are almost no research on the institutions layout and spatial design that can utilize them. Considering the heat for education of the present and the researches on education for the gifted so far, this tendency is likely to continue. To study space composition and interior architectural design of children's institution for the gifted, we studied the cases of 5 institutions located in Seoul and the following are the results. The research results are as followed. Most institutions for the gifted used most common and technical paint, wallpaper, and PVC for finishing materials. The colors should be carefully selected, too, so that it will increase inquisitiveness and interest of the children, which will develop into creative ability. In the cases studied, color of most walls and furnitures were not very distinctive: they were in light pastel and bright tone. And there were set of desks in many shapes so it can be put in different ways for different purposes. However, there were also desks that are commonly used at schools, which were limited in arranging in various ways. Most cases studied were located in general building and therefore, natural light source was limited. On the part of appliances, supplements should be made so that classes can be carried out using multimedia materials.

아파트 단위주거의 리모델링 요소와 현황 - 인테리어디자인업체 실무자와 거주자 심층면접을 통하여 - (Elements and Actual Condition of Apartment Unit Remodeling - By In-depth Interviews on Residents and Specialists of Interior Design Companies -)

  • The purpose of this study was to grasp major elements and actual condition of apartment unit remodeling by in-depth interviews on residents and specialists. The interviews had been conducted to interior designers who have a wide experience of apartment remodeling and residents who live in recently remodeled apartment unit. In-depth interview is a kind of qualitative method in which attention to reply of responses with open-access between interviewer and respondents. According to the results, remodeling elements were generally changing of lighting fixtures and finishing materials in the all spaces, integration of balcony into children's room, installation of furniture in kitchen and entrance, changing storage furnitures and equipments in bathroom. Artificial lighting method were selected generally whole lighting. Finishing materials were used ordinary (non environmentally-friendly) wallpaper and adhesion and tempered floor. There were unsatisfied factors after remodeling, these were dissatisfaction of design, construction defects, and stink of reflecting 'sick house'. Also they responded that they should be considering to use environmentally-friendly material at next remodeling.

Automatic Detection of Texture-defects using Texture-periodicity and Jensen-Shannon Divergence

  • In this paper, we propose a new machine vision algorithm for automatic defect detection on patterned textures with the help of texture-periodicity and the Jensen-Shannon Divergence, which is a symmetrized and smoothed version of the Kullback-Leibler Divergence. Input defective images are split into several blocks of the same size as the size of the periodic unit of the image. Based on histograms of the periodic blocks, Jensen-Shannon Divergence measures are calculated for each periodic block with respect to itself and all other periodic blocks and a dissimilarity matrix is obtained. This dissimilarity matrix is utilized to get a matrix of true-metrics, which is later subjected to Ward's hierarchical clustering to automatically identify defective and defect-free blocks. Results from experiments on real fabric images belonging to 3 major wallpaper groups, namely, pmm, p2, and p4m with defects, show that the proposed method is robust in finding fabric defects with a very high success rates without any human intervention.

HOME DESIGN A design of Sampung Apartment

  • In early Highlighting the client's personality especially, home design demands very careful consideration. It's not an easy task to understand the characteristics of each family member, to take into account their requirements, and strike proper harmony among them. For this Sampung Apartment Project, I decided to create a cozy homelike atmosphere by using overall modern and antique furniture, props, and lighting. I tried a different sense of space by choosing wood as the main material, installing furniture that looked antique, and applying painting with touch instead of pictures or wallpaper By the use of the light bulb color overall, lighting was yellow and added more comfort. Local lighting was used in certain places to add more fun along with the props. After choosing white as the main color, point colors were determined according to the client's inclination toward green and blue. The color choice also matched the client's paintings that were in soft green and blue. Each room was planned and color coordinated according to their own characteristics. The children's rooms were planned with such point colors as pink, green, and blue. The master bedroom and the family room were produced around gold and grey color, respectively.
